Roku doesn't have an sl standard attached to it, though personally, I think there should be some IC development and not just average joe to Roku master inbetween sl's.
Haki requirements ICly have always been vague. how you develop progression and skill is up to you, learning it from someone in your crew is valid IC reasoning as to why your r14 just became a r28. The only real requirement is a decent length sl in which your character unlocks their potential through mental/physical trauma of sorts. Then again, any sort of spiritual awakening will work probably. If you have a concrete idea on how to unlock haki and unsure about it you can always ask some mods for their opinion on whether it's valid or not.

I actually have a question based upon this subject that clarity brought up. Why are most legacy traits restricted to the Grand Line only? It isn't like a person couldn't develop haki in the blues or learn life return. What is the point of that rule in the first place? Why do you force someone who wants to rp a haki user to get it in the grand line and then waste a scoop to actually rp with haki in the blues?

because Zander we don't want people always playing around in the blues, the idea of one piece is to explore and go out into the gl then nw. Which is why we restrict most stuff to those areas.

So you needlessly restrict rp freedom and force crews to enter the Crew graveyard that is the Grand Line? That seems pointless and unnecessary. All it serves to do is make a person wait three extra months plus whatever the grading time is for the haki/lifereturn sl to get what they want. What does this restriction add to the forum? That can't be the only reason, Dark, and if it is then something needs to be fixed. We let people get T3 Devil fruits in the blues. Haki and life return both cost less than that.
Pop greens and t2/t1 devil fruits I can understand seeing as how they would be easier to actually come across in the grand line. But haki? All it takes is a bit of training. It isn't like there aren't any marines or strong pirate mentors in the blues. Garp and Shanks have both been seen in the blues. Hell they executed Rogers in the Blues. It isn't unreasonable that there would be people there to train you in life return or haki.

Zander is it unreasonable to ask in any rp that you have to journey out from the safer areas to get the good stuff? Its standard in any rpg that in the beginning area you only get the bland stuff. Also technically if you want to get on it would be just as likely to find the ope ope no mi in the south blues. Because dfs can theoretically spawn anywhere the nearest fruit they need is present. It's not about the cost at all Zander its the fact that this is good stuff and we don't want people getting it if they're not advancing further into the rp.
