Well i thought about a new trait for the characters that would go under the general traits section because it doessn't depend on anything. Devil's Luck- Characters with this traits are gifted with an ridiculous high ammount of luck. The odds of them doing something that for most seems almost imposible they have a high rate of success like winning at lottery or at gambling, finding useful items at the moment. The true power of the trait is that it creates random events that helps the character greatly, like a man trying to assasinate him and the man suddenly gets hit by a lighting...a total coincidence. Now you may be wondering how can someone with this trait could lose, he is the luckyest guy in the world...well this trait migh save the char's life countless times but the random encounters and the important coincidences as in a fight or in exploring(so that he won't find rare items everywhere) would be controled by the narrators at their discretion. The part where the player would control his luck would be when he's doing something agains NPC's and this at a moderate level(like gambling with NPC's or even fighting, but mostly would be controled by a narrator). The bonus would be something like this: At the end of the SL the character has a chance of receiving an useful item, being berry, valuable objects, weapons or useful things or even rare items. Well this is all about this trait..if I forgot something please tell me and feel free to ask as much as you want. If there are some upgrades or modifications about the trait you want to add please post them here so i can look through them. Edited by Ragnarok, Feb 2 2013, 02:11 AM.

The way you said it at least, no chance. Luck in generally small doses, is a flavor choice that would be figured out in your own rping. Though with the luck you are saying, like winning a lottery, or gambling, or having someone struck with lightning, isn't trait worthy. Sure you can have that happen, possibly, but it would just be shit that happens in an SL. Luck isn't something that can be manipulated. It isn't a factor like that. Seeing the edit, this trait really just seems to want to be a treasure hunter thing. That is technically alright somehow. But, I don't think you'll be able to compound an extra beli trait, and an item trait into one thing. Just see if someone high up replies, for better more detail. |

Well i don't try to manipulate the luck is that the odds for my char to do something are improved...like if I go in search for a ancient/mythical DF i have a higher chance to get one. So it improves your odds in everything..with how much..well this is for the mods to decide. It improves your odds to get a random event in your SL that could be profitable, or to get an item or more berry(when you get at the end of the SL you have a chance a random item it will be just one...and this one item could be anything like a chest full of treasures, a coin purse, a weapon, armor, an amulet etc..meaning that it's not mandatory to receive something, you can as well receive nothing) So on short it improves your chances in everything...with the random thing where you get struck by the lighting or the enemy prepares to shoot the player and the branch of the tree he was standing breaks and things like this, i would let the mods to decide and those events would be fully controled by narrators as they see fit( so they might decide that the branch won't break and the event won't happen. It's that you have better chances at things like this...doesn't mean it happens all the time, just some times). They were manipulating your luck before, now you have better chances that's all.
