There was a nice day in the ocean at the current moment. The tides were calm, the breeze relaxing and the wind strong, making it a perfect day for navigation. The sun was brigth and everything was simply beautiful. Of course this was only on the exterior. The Karaoke Island was a dark and grim as usually, defying every brigthing element on outside it's range. The island itself looked like the land of the dead or hell, ocassionally a volcano or more were erupting creating the symphony of destruction. However apart of it's melancholic looks it's climate was pretty stable...for now.

The reason that people started to gather on the island was beacuse of a festival...his name was forgoted by ages, however it's meaning remained and passed down every year...it was the festival of freedom. The people that were taking part in it weren't normal people but dangerous guys:pirates across the blue seas, criminals, bandits, thiefs, the lawless persons in general. However there were those veterans that were former pirate or other lawless person, and the young and brave people that wish to become a "free man". So on short it was a a festival dedicated to those who more or less oposes the goverment and go against the world's laws.

The location was pretty well chosen due to the fact that all this black fog and climate will be ideal for hiding from the marines during the festival...it has als a profound meaning of melancholy, the dark inside our hearts, the inability to adapt by this world's laws and other themes the artist use in their creations. Also the symphony of the volcanoes coud be a real tourist attraction. The festival itself would take one day but people started gathering days ago in order to prepare everything for the proper party that was going to take a whole day and night.

Ragnarok and his crewmate, Nix Adalwolf decided to go to this so called festival...The boy thought that a festival dedicated to the lawless would attract many dangerous and powerful guys, even if the most of them were grunts and weaklings some of them must be really strong. With this in mind he came with a theory that by going and taking part at the festival he would find stron people that would fit perfectly for his crew. The highest priority of Wolf in this moment would be to gather enough nakama and start raising up in strenght along with them in order for each to acomplish their dreams. So with this in mind both of them went with a small ship to the dread island.

From the distance the entire island was covered by black fog with a reduced visibility adn ocasionally red sparks from the volcanoes eruptions. As Ragnarok was looking towards his destination he says with his cold and neutral tone "That is one creepy island. Look at all those ashes and volcanoes....it's like we're going in hell" and with a devil smile continues "This is becomming interesting, i'm starting to like this island". This response may be because his genes, Ragnarok coming from a long line of pirates and both his grandfather and father were considered demons or monsters rather than humans for their excessive cruelty and the way they were slaugthering their oponents, leaving pools of blood behind.

As they approached the island they saw many yellow lights that were reavealing a somekind of improvised town, the place where the festival was going to take. There were many ships anchored there as the party started from some time being nearly evening already. The sound of music and people shouts were resonating in Wolf's ears, he looked on the right side of the coast, a bit away from the party and talked to his second in comand "Nix...let's anchor our ship there(pointing towards the coast). We should keep our ship safe in case something happens." By this the boy meant that if was to get out fast they could have big problems with the other docked ships as everything could degenerate in chaos and if there was someone that would try to block them, the best idea was o hide the ship somewhere far from the action main area and keep it hidden. Well keeping it hidden wouldn't be much of a problem because of the thick ash fog.

Now the two pirate crew(if it could be called a pirate crew, because they didn't even have a flag yet) were heading towards the hidden coast so ,once there, they would prepare for anchoring and get on shore...if everything goes smoothly.

The sun shone brightly through the cloudless sky, bathing the land with its warm ray of light. Breeze blew in from time to time, keepings things cool. It was fine day indeed; even the worst part of the island, the slum was enjoying the day. The birds (raven) were chirping (croak) merrily, the dogs were sleeping lazily (underneath dead cats) and the kids... well being kids. They were running around happily, chasing, playing games while gleefully laughing on top of their lungs even throwing their shoes at each other’s from time to time only to be strictly scolded by their mothers. “Hey pipe down will ya, we’re trying to work over hear one the youngest mother shouted as she rolls a piece of beedi. The children obeyed and ran off to safer distance, away from the ferocious lionesses that were busy at work rolling the tobacco filled leaves.

The area was peaceful for a moment, but not for long. A groan out of nowhere broke the silence and caused the working mothers to jump out from their seat, trying to pinpoint the location of the voice. Suddenly, they saw the pile of trash moving slightly. They watched and listen intently to the mysterious moving trash. It moved again, and then stopped. One of the mothers, the one who shouted at her kids bravely advanced forward, picked up a broom and poked the trash twice. Nothing. She shrugged and raised her shoulders to her friends signalling it was nothing, probably a rat.

“ urgh… “ It was that sound again, this time a little bit longer and deeper. Dead silence falls upon the slum. The pack of mothers hold each other’s hands out of fear, even the bravest backed away several feet with broom at hand, poised in front of her as if she was a warrior. Suddenly the trash moved violently and the mothers were put into a shock that they froze in place. Out of the trash a tall, very tall young man with dirty blonde hair stood up. He towers over the mothers; even the tallest of the women barely reach his chest. His face was obscured by his shoulder length hair, hiding his face from view adding to his ominous appearance. The women were still in shocked and were frozen solid in their place.

“ Urgh… where am I… My head hurts… “He groaned as he tilted his head left to right. He can’t seem to remember where he was. I must have drunk too much last night he thought, shaking his head. It took him a few moments to realize that his hair was in a mess. With a swift move of his hand which caused the women to flinch a little, he fixed his hair in a jiffy. His face was now visible to the women standing in front of him and they were dumbfounded. The man was very handsome even with dirt and smudge across page. “ Do you have any cigarettes? “ He asked while staring directly into the eyes of the woman holding a broom in front of him.

“ Oo.. Of course “ She stuttered at answering him, still shocked at the man handsomeness. She turned around and ran to her workplace. She picked up a handful of the beedi sticks and quickly ran over to the man. She shyly handed them over to the man and ran to her flocks whispering to each other, probably discussing why the hell would such a man sleeps in a heap of garbage. A beedi huh.. Haven’t smoked this kind in a while he whispered to himself oh well. “ Terima kasih. I mean, thank you “ He said, bowing his head a little before began walking away.

The black fogged island came into view from the small ship. An island always covered in a thick black smoke. And within was a feistivel of pirates and maruders of those most would rather forget existed. This was going to be intresting a whole island for a fair of pirates. And this is where his new captain Wolf hopped to pick up more crew members for their crew he wasn't even sure the name of yet. Wolf might have mentioned it once he wasn't sure.

Nix moved from his sitting posistion cracking his knuckled as they sailed to the island of black fog. "Ya does kinda look like the underworld. Well if nothing else it'll be an intresting experince." The hope of picking up a new crew member was only equal to the excitment of just seeing what was going to happen. Knowing what was going on the island they were going to who knows what can happen.

Soon after they set down in the spot Wolf has pointed out. "So if we do find another crew member you going to try fighting them again or will I?" He shot the quick question at Wolf as he left the boat giving a quick stretch after sitting in that boat for who knows how long. It was time to visit a carnival.

As Wolf and Nix disembarked the ship he heard a somehow disturbing question coming from his newly first mate. Well he didn't have anything personally against the question or Nix and he understood why would he be asked this but despite his exterior scheming nothing, deep inside he was revolting. To put someone else fight his own battles, this was something that Ragnarok could not accept, never ever. His fights are for him alone to do this is how it was until now...however he understood that with time the need to be helped by his crewmates in surpassing his foes and fighting beside him in Wolf's problems was something that would happen eventually. But he would never stay aside while others fight for him.

So after his hidden inner revolt as he stood with the back at his crewmate, Ragnarok slowly turns his head right and with the end of the eye looking at Nix replies with a determined tone "No. I am the captain and it is my duty to recruit new pirates...thus it is my responsibility to fight them if i deem necessary.Violence isn't the only way to solve things but most of the time it seems the best option. There is something you should know about me Nix...I won't let anyone to fight in my place and as sign of respect for the future crewmate I will fight him alone. But do not worry my first mate...we are on a dark island resembling hell full of lawless men, so a conflict would be inevitable...you will have your chance to fight, you just need to be patient. Let's go."

Ragnarok finished his speech so it was the time for them to go towards the main event. He left towards NW as they docked in the South coast hoping that the swordsman would follow him. After a few minutes of walking Ragnarok enters a zone filled with black fog, reducing his visibility greatly.Reaching this place he tells Nix "Do not change your course. Follow this trajectory until you leave the fog." saying this to avoid getting lost either of them. He was in a dangerous position indeed so that is why Wolf was in guard looking around and using all his senses to decent anything around so he won't be taken by surprise but this was an advantage too because fighting in dark places as an assassin was his specialty. In a lawless zone you never know who will come trough the fog and ambush you.

As he walks towards the coordinate of where the party would be he notices a white light trough all this fog that attracts his attention. The light seemed strange for him and picked his interest. Maybe he was hallucinating or maybe not, he could know for sure at that moment so he decided to change his course and follow the light. Because of his talents in sneaking, Ragnarok moves silently so it was easy for him to get separated from his mate Nix. Wolf was getting further and further away from the course he must have followed and was conscious that he will get lost and separated from his mate, thinking in his mind *It seems that we we'll get separated after all. Well that's no problem he can handle himself well and i can do the same. We will meet eventually at the festival. Now the prime concerns is that light and where it comes from.*

The soft smell of sulfur mixed heavily with the scent radiating from "Uncle Jam's Fried Takoyaki" stand. Aki stood behind the grill with a large smile plastered upon her face as she attacked the food in front of her with spices and other secret sauces the takoyaki vendor had supplied her with. The island was rather bleak with its harsh environment, but that wouldn't put a damper on Aki's spirit today. She cared little for such trivial things. At this point in time she was no more than a grilling machine.

Today was an odd day. Aki had arrived in the waning morning light, and managed to even procure herself a job during the uppity times of a strange festival that seemed to involve a lot of heavyset tattooed men who liked to engage in drinking competitions and fights with one another. The girl, despite not being overly attractive, still had to deal with her fair share of suitors. Luckily, most were drunk enough that they wandered off in a small panic after the initial rejection. There were a few, however, that needed to be disposed in more 'inventive' ways.

The day was progressing and the hot stove was rather taxing, but a job was a job. Aki would continue to cook the takoyaki, seeing as she didn't quite consider cooking animals as punishable as eating them. She was still a vegetarian at heart, but if the creature was already dead she saw no reason with just cooking the remains rather than letting them go to waste. After all, it was only respectful to the creature. She would never be the one to slay the living beast herself, though. That would just be beyond her capacity.

Another day on the foggy island and still not a single memory has returned. He had been wandering this island for days hoping to remember who he was or were he had come from, but nothing of the sort had comebak. What was more surprising to him was that from the moment he awoke he knew the layout of the island, how to patch the wound on his head, how to wield a sword and many other things. Everything he knew before he hit his head remained except for what was important, who he was. From this lack of memory and the dingo form in which he was currently in he had come to the conclusion that he was a dingo.

Logically it was the only conclusion and as such he has acted the part wandering the streets like the lost dog he is. He scaveged what he could and killed any vermin he could find for food, but mostly he just wandered the island hoping to find himself. Sadly he had found nothing and his life as just another dog wandering the streets continued.

However, it seemed as if the stars aligned today to forever change his fate. As he wandered the streets of Karaoke island he smelt a strong scent of blood. Carrying his bag and sword that he had since he awoke on this aligned he rushed to the scene. If he had been moving by sight he would have been starring into a strange light that as he aproached slowly became recognizable as a gas steet lamp, but he was guided by smell and didn't even notice the light. As he arrived he saw the form of a man being torn apart by some dogs.
Before he could even aproach they were scared of by another form aproaching. He knew not what was happening, but something about the overwhelming scent of blood he was not used to being able to smell so strongly and the form of a man aproaching in the fog made him snap for a second.

He placed his left back paw on the sheathe he was carrying and decided to bite down on the handle. With a swift turn of the head and a draging motion by his left back paw he unsheathed the sword. Using the sword seemed natural to him, but the way he was using it seemed a little wierd to him, but how else could he hold it. He smelled the figure in the distance aproaching and decided to back off a bit to hide and observe. He went behind the closets building and just listened and observed.

Following Wolf into the fog he smelt the sulfur in it, though he could swear he smelt something else in the cloud. Trying to keep as close to Wolf as he could to not get lost the smell came back to him. It wasn't a half bad smell and taking a moment to look around he found that he had lost Wolf. [b"Just bloody great."][/b] He had lost his captain on the first island they came to. Well since he had nothing else to go he followed his nose.

Following the smell to wherever it lead he found himself at a shop. "Uncle Jam's"? Who names their kid Jam? Well who cares not his problem. How long has it been till he ate? Some time a while ago on the boat, Wolf had said they were going to get food on the island. Wasn't a fan of Takoyaki but it wasn't that bad. Walking into the small looking shop he took a look around. It smelled pretty good in there. Taking off his hat and putting it on the counter as he sat down he looks around for a waiter. "Yo, one serving please!" He called out.

As he was heading towards the light, Wolf notices that the fog slowly dissapears. He came to the conclusion that by heading towards the anomaly as he saw it he might manage to leave the foggy area. However, leaving this place doesn't mean he would be safe...he doesn't know what he would find there once he gets out so he was prepared to respond fast at any threat that would show up.

As he reached the place he discovered taht the mysterious light came from a gas lamp dropped on the ground. It wasn't anything special, but it wasn't just that. Near the lamp there was a corpse standing in a pool of blood and some signs of fighting here.Ragnarok decides to slowly close in to the man on the ground, cautious just in case. Once there he looks at him to try and detect any trick it would be like a trap and others and then he looks around for the same reason.

During this scouting he found out nothing...well there were signs of the black fog here too making it harder to see far, but the vision was greatly improved from before. Ragnarok gets down on a knee, swipes with his fingers trough the pool of blood, then bringing it up to inspect and smell the blood on his hand. He inspected the body observing that it was full of claw and bite marks all over the body *This blood is still fresh. That means he was attacked recently. Also those marks indicates that he was attacked by animals, wild beasts from what it seemd and judging from the number of wounds I doubt it was just one beast...a whole pack is near...I must be careful.* tought Wolf during the inspection.

Now the boy was feeling like he was on hostile ground where enemies could pop out from anywhere. Because the pack of beasts could be in the area, Wolf hightened his senses, being on guard and ready to respond to any attack. He slowly moved his right hand on the back holding firmly on his sheated dagger while he was searching the man's pockets for anything useful. This awareness technique was taugth to him by his master on his home island, he learned that everything could happen in a battle and be ready for anything...so Ragnarok took the advice and he was prepared even for the deady body to come to life and attack him as example.

He was really dissapointed in all this...he tought that the light could be something interesting but it was just an old gas lamp and the corpse didn't have anything good on it. He really wanted to find something like an artifact, a treasure map, or some treasures, an interesting journal full of secrets etc. So now Ragnarok was standing near the corpse looking trough the remaining pockets of the man, in guard and ready for anything...

The next entry into the shop was just as unique as all the earlier ones. Aki flashed the new customer a smile before slewing out the necessary ingredients. "Sure thing. That'll be 35 beli." Said the girl in a light tone. The grill ignited once more and Aki began working quickly. In the food industry, unless you're working in a fancy dancy joint, the speed you can crank out the food is -by far- the most important thing. She who cooks good tasting food is good, she who cooks food quickly is good, but she who can cook good tasting food quickly is by far the best. It didn't take long at all to finish the order and slap it onto a typical cheap paper plate (rough pirates tended to break the ceramic ones so those were safely hidden until the festival was over).

"Order up, sir." Said the girl with another smile.

Throwing a brief glance about, it finally hit the girl that the previous rush had finally ended and the last remnants were leaving satisfied with their meal. That could only mean one thing... Time for a break! Aki untied the apron she was wearing and threw it off in a crumpled ball to the side before popping a plastic cup out of the dispenser and filling herself a large glass of the leftover lemonade she had mixed up earlier. She looked over to her only customer with another smile.

"You want a glass? It'll be on the house."

As Ragnarok was inspecting the corpse a small crack sound could be heard. This clarified the boy's suspicion taht there is someone watching. He didn't really know the details like where is he, or even if it's a human. He was holding his right hand on the sheated dagger that was placed on his back waist. He didn't reacted, acting like he haven't noticed in order to get whatever was hiding to get out and attack.

However a powerful sound like a shot was heard and the supposely stalker scared out and ran deeper in the wood. Wolf could take a very good look at it because it ran very fast, but however it was something resembling a dog or a wolf. Maybe it was one of the beasts that attacked this poor man.

After pickpocketing the corpse he takes his journey on to find a way to get to the festival because he got lost. He travelled a bit trough the ash forest, most of the vegetation seemed dead but there were a few plants that really adapted to this life-style. After some time he managed to reach some kind of small village, from the looks of it, was inhabited. If he were to ask the locals he might be able to get direction towards the festival, however asking for directions and things like this would be Ragnarok's style.

The boy decided to look a bit trough the town to see if there was anything worth his interest, while he was decidint whenever or not to ask directions. He was really hoping to find them alone rather that get help from others, especially strangers...

A booming voice interrupted Aki's offer for a free drink. A large pot-bellied man walked into the doorway with a furious look on his face. "Just gon' give my money away will you!" Screamed the man as his complexion grew scarlet.

"Aaah, he's the last customer Uncle Jam. Why not give him something on the house?" Replied the cool-headed girl in a suave manner. This, of course, was the worst possible thing Aki could have said to Uncle Jam. His gasket blew sky high. What followed suit was a rather lengthy expletive filled exposition that cannot be mitigated into text for fear of contaminating the very ink with which they are typed. Needless to say, Aki was fired.

Walking out of the small shop with an angry look on her face, the girl could only wonder what she would do next. She was homeless on a pirate filled island without a job or anyone to help her. Things weren't exactly looking too well.

As the boy was exploring the little town, if it can be called that way, he felled a little awkard being in the center of the attention. However as he passed by lost without any idea where should he head to find the pirate gathering. An old lady sees the boy that looked like he was lost and with a warm voice she asks Are you lost boy? You look like searching for someone. Well whoever you want to find is not here but you shouldd try further east*points towards east*. There is some kind of party there with lots of peoples, he might be there."

Wolf remained a bit surprised by the old hag that besides she looked wise she was strange, like she read Ragnarok's mind. Never the less he obtained the information he needed so he said a simple Thank you. and went on the path the he was instructed. The old lady smiled and waved her hand as sign of good bye.

He was going trough the ash forest, where the vegetation was covered with the ashes of the volcanoes which were erupting frequent and rhythmic. Wolf looked at the surroundings and started to think *This is one strange island. Everything is covered with volcanic ashes and those volcanoes erupt too frequent. Black mists and mysterious predators.(sees shadows moving trough the forest)There are also shadows moving stealthly. No. This time I'm sticking to the road so that i can arrive at the festival. I am late enough.*

Said and done. The boy kept the path taht was showed to him, however he was on guard every second ready to intercet an attack given the fact that he was watched, and those watchers could be the very same beasts taht killed that poor man he found some time ago. By some miracle he wasn't attacked and managed to get out of the dark forest. There were many lights comming from the distance.

Powerful ligths on this island, Ragnarok knew that was the place where the festival was, and decided mto go over there. He finally reached the place. There were a massive number of people, he never saw so many in one place. He started to walk trough the place studying the surroundings. This was his chance to find some pirates for his crew so he was analyzing each pirate closely hoping to find something taht will catch his eye...

There are few things in life that pirates can agree on but drinking, partying, and causing a ruckus are a few. There was a multitude of different crews anchored here on this volcanic island just for this reason. That and avoiding the marines if they were under a bit of heat. There was also a fair skinned girl who was here to just enjoy herself and forget her troubles and she doesn't know anyone that parties harder then pirates.

She was currently swirling around, her green cloak flowing back and forth, as she sang a drinking song and danced upon the bar's counter. Spilled alcohol didn't slip her up as she always stepped with precision and grace but she was quickly loosing form as further drinking impaired her dexterity. She had a bow slung across her shoulders and a bushel of arrows were held in a quiver by her side. If her singing wasn't capturing the pirate crowded into the bar then her long white radiant hair did.

"A tankard of ale,
A pitcher of beer,
A shot of vodka,
And liquor for all!

Drink to the drums,
Don't twiddle your thumbs!

Dance to the beat,
Stand and repeat!

La rah rah a la rah!
La rah rah a la rah!

Let us drink all night!
LET US DRINK ALL NIGHT!"

It was a salty song of the sea easily sung by all and Reimii was leading the charge in this case. She swung her hips and threw her hair back to the song as she continued to chant the drinking song. Pirates, thieves, cutthroats, and more swung their tankards of ale in the air to the song's pace.

Reimii would eventually draw her bow and place an arrow in it then shoot the arrow through the crowd to hit the large keg stacked against the wall. The arrow bit into the wooden container that was stacked at the top of a pyramid of six such kegs. Bear leaked from the puncture and ran down the length of the arrow shaft making a non-stop spigot of bear falling down from the fletchings. It was an expertly placed shot.

"FREE BEER FOR ALL!"

She shouted into the air and all the customers surged over to the leaking keg drowning the sounds of protest from the barkeeper. Reimii jumped down and grabbed an unattended mug of something and drank it down. She was easily intoxicated and knew it but she loved the senseless thrill of getting drunk. Surprisingly, she was able to keep her odd ghostlike grace even drunk but she wasn't that intoxicated...not yet anyway and the night was just starting here at the festival.

Drinking her first mug of beer, Reimii considered her next move. The building she was in was central to the festival. It was a ramshackle building with a large roof which was supported by beams made of wood here and there. There was no wall for the building as it made the square bar in the center look more inviting. A set of bar tenders were in the middle claiming money and hussling some of the dimmer folks gathered. Fights erupted almost as common as the volcanos in the distance but that only added to the atmosphere as many fight then become friends in this place.

Having just made a fool of herself she had gathered a small group of Romeos but she wasn't looking for romance, not tonight anyway. Bight lights, fireworks, and gun shots luminated the area and this just put her in a mood for adventure. Perhaps something dangerous. She would excuse herself from her admirers and seek a quieter location (relatively speaking) near one of the posts so she could enjoy watching the festivities for a bit and enjoy her drink.

Arashi was completely lost at sea, on his small boat, getting rocked by the waves and pushed by the wind, when his sight came on an island surrounded with a thick layer of fog. He was thrilled to find land at last for he was so thirsty that he couldn't row anymore. He was able to find food in the sea as he was a pretty good swimmer, but he knew that sea water would only increase his thirst.

If not for the wind, the surroundings of the island would have been completely silent and peaceful, unlike the island itself which almost promised of doom at first look. Arashi had seen black fog in the middle of the day for the first time in his life, so the beginnings of excitement were showing on him, even in his weakened state. He had been almost an entire day and night since he drank his last drop of water, so he needed to get some liquids in his stomach as soon as possible.

He realized that letting the wind guide him wouldn't be effective as he knew almost nothing about navigation, so he removed the sail and started rowing towards the island. He was exhausted to begin with, and having to row didn't really help that cause.

When he arrived on the shore of the island. He tied his boat to a rock, completely oblivious to whether there is any near by Dock, and started to walk up front hoping to find any source of drinkable water. Somehow, the fog wasn't very healthy to breath, and his head was turning from the lack of his usual dose of sake.

Suddenly, his ears caught what sounded like a lot of commotion somewhere in the distance. And where commotion was, humans were with it. At last a little hope was granted to him, so he tried to walk more quickly in their direction. After a while, he entered a little forest, it was damp and some parts of it were completely burned by trails of fire coming down, as if some kind of liquid fire had passed there. If he remembered correctly, there was some kind of name for rock so hot that it melts and becomes liquid fire, but e couldn't remember, so he decided he will only care after he gets some water to his brain.

Fortunately, the forest ended quickly, as the voices and the music grew louder, and at the distance, he glimpsed a lot of yellow lights in the fog, so he knew he was very close to the town. He broke into a run, fearing that his legs wouldn't carry him if he let them relax, and the fog cleared a little bit around the town. Arashi didn't care though, he only cared about drinking something, so as he met a man with bottle of Sake in his hands, he wrenched it from him in the middle of the street and started drinking from it till it was finished, then he dropped asleep in the middle of the street.

A girl was walking along the shore when she saw a dark spot in the sand. She quickly ran to it to inspect it as her curiosity grew more and more and when she got there she saw him, wet and almost lifeless. She started screaming with all her power for someone to help her and people started rushing to him. They took him to the local doctor where he was taken care of and given a bed to recover. The girl that found him sat with him, watching over him and even though the doctor said it would be days before he woke up she didn't care. Surprisingly enough he woke up much sooner than they expected asking for water and food.

"Please, can you bring me some water and something to eat." he muttered, surprising the little girl by his bed side. She sprung from her seat saying "Certainly, I'll go get it right now". While he waited for the girl to come back he looked around the room noticing many vials and herbs sitting on a table on the other side of the room. He wondered how long he'd been unconscious and where he was. He didn't finish his thoughts and the girl was back with a pitcher of water and some fruits. "Sorry this is all I could find, the doctor only eats fruits and vegetables. But you will find other stuff if you go to the big party that is taking place in the town, however it's full of pirates so you'd best wait until you recover your strength. The doctor is also there, since he says there are a lot of potential clients, but I think what he means is there is a lot of booze and being the only doctor in town he usually gets it for free."

After eating and recovering some of his strength he asked where he is. "You are on Karaoke Island, my name is Mina by the way, I found you on the beach almost lifeless." "I'm sorry, where are my manners. I'm Skorpion, thank you for rescuing me." Having recovered most of his strength he got up from the bed and realized he wasn't wearing anything. Mina blushed as soon as she saw him and pointed to the trunk at the end side of the bed, implying that his clothes are there. He dressed up and went to the the medical table and started mixing some herbs together and mashing them. After he was done he took the paste he created and mixed it with some water and shook it well to mix the ingredients together. "It's just a mild sedative to relieve some of my head pain, I think I hit it pretty hard when the ship I was on sank." he told Mina when he saw she was confused.

"Would you like to go with me to the party? I'll treat you to lunch with whatever money I have left." Without waiting for an answer he grabbed Mina's hand and left the doctor's house heading for the tavern. On his way there he saw many cheerful pirates singing and drinking and generally having a good time. Some fights would break out here and there but nothing serious just pirates having pirate fun. As he got closer to the tavern he could hear music playing and a lot of yelling and cheering. "Now I know why this place is called Karaoke Island, everyone seems to be singing."

He entered the tavern and the place went silent for a few seconds as he walked to a free table. That's when someone said "Hey everyone, look the castaway is up and walking, let's give him a cheer." and everyone raised their drinks and started cheering and resumed singing. Skorpion whispered to Mina "Are they always so friendly to castaways?" and she told him that they're just looking for any reason to celebrate.

Sitting at the table the tavern wench came to them bringing them a mug of ale each. "My name's Nancy, this is on the house." she said, "We don't have many castaways around here, not live ones at least." Skorpion thanked her and asked what they have to eat. He didn't finish his question and she handed him a piece of wood with something written on it and saying "Here's the menu, choose what you like and call me when you decide okay hun?". Skorpion reads the menu and hands it over to Mina so she can read it too telling her to choose whatever she likes. He called for Nancy to take their order and as she came he could see the men grabbing at her and making rude gestures.

"Do you want me to take care of them? I really hate it when they treat women without any respect." said Skorpion with disgust in his voice. "Oh, don't worry dear they don't mean nothing by it". "Well if you want to here's some pills, put one in their drinks, they're just sleeping pills but combined with alcohol they'll give you a nasty headache when you wake up." and Skorpion handed her a vial of tiny transparent ball shaped pills. "Thanks hun, so what'll you have?". Skorpion gave her the order and as he waited for her to come back he overheard some pirates speaking of a rare medical herb growing on this island in the depths of the forest and he thought it would be worth investigating.

When Nancy came back with the order he asked her if it's true what they say about the herb and she said "Well there are rumors about there being a very rare herb in the forest that only grows on a few islands but what it does I can't tell you, you should ask the doctor he probably knows, he's over there at the counter drinking beer." Skorpion thanked her and started eating like he hadn't eaten in days. Mina started laughing and when he looked up at her she said "You eat like a pig Skorpion, didn't your momma teach you any manners?". "You should speak", said Skorpion amused, "Did you eat the ice cream or did it eat you?". When she heard him Mina quickly reached in her small purse and pulled out a mirror and when she saw herself she turned red like a charcoal and bolted to the bathroom to wash herself.

While she was in the bathroom Skorpion went to the doctor to speak to him. "Hey Doc, I'm Skorpion, thanks for taking care of me after Mina found me." "Hey, glad to see you up and walking, didn't expect you to recover for another two-three days. You must be pretty resilient." said the doctor wile sipping on his ale. "Yeah, I guess, listen Doctor, I heard there is a rare plant growing deep in the forest, what can you tell me about it." "I'm afraid only rumors and unchecked stories, but they say that there is a herb as red as blood growing in a very dangerous area of the forest. They say that if you mash it and then dry the mashed juices and swallow them it'll speed up the regeneration and toughen you up for a while." Skorpion nodded and told the doctor that's all he needed to know. "Thank you doctor, tell Mina I thank her for her company she's a delightful girl, and tell her I'll be back soon."

Saying that, Skorpion bolted out of the tavern and started heading for the forest thinking to himself that it surely is the herb that will allow him to make more of the Blood pills.
