Devil Fruit Techniques

Hie Hie no mi (4+40)
Type: Free DF Ability

Description:This fruit enables the eater to become a ice man. They are capable of transforming themselves into ice, producing ice, and manipulating it however they see fit.
The user will be able to directly freeze objects at touch. He is able to reduce himself to frost to slip between cracks or travel quickly over the surface of water and can move through bodies of ice at instantaneous speeds. Due to the high degree of control he has gained over his logia body allowing him to manipulate it freely and he is now capable of remaining in a constant elemental state allowing him defense against even surprise attacks. His ice is produced with a speed and strength = fortune.

Freezing: Techniques that freeze will cause the target to incur "partial freezing" when they successfully hit, meaning the target will suffer a debuff to speed equal to the techniques rank. If enough are incurred to reduce their speed to 0 the target is considered frozen, although if their Stamina > the users fortune they have the chance to break free of the frozen state but this can only be done once every (Users fortune/10) posts. Debuffs made by physical contact gain a 1.3x multiplier to base DF tech rank.
Quick Freeze (4)
Type: Supplementry

Description: After making physical contact with a surface Izuru either physically or using his ice as an extension he uses his abilities to freeze it and have the effects radiate outwards, thusly freezing anything else it reaches both organic and inorganic.
Flash Freeze Branched from Quick freeze 40(4+36)
Type: Supplementry
Range: (Fortune*25) yards radius
Stats:N/A
Description: This technique is much like It’s predecessor only now has it’s reach vastly expanded able to freeze across a much larger area.
Tundra’s Embrace Branched from Flash freeze 44(40+4)
Type: Offensive
Range: up to (Fortune*25) yards radius
Stats:N/A
Description: As before Izuru will use his abilities to freeze across a large area though now it is done so at a temperature of -250 degree’s Celsius creating a brutal environment for those trapped within. When used as part of the freezing mechanic the debuff gains a 1.3x multiplier due to the severity of freezing caused.
Ice Age Branched from Tundra’s Embrace 46(44+2)
Type: Offensive
Range:up to (Fortune*15) yards radius
Stats:N/A
Description: Izuru has advanced his freezing abilities to the point where he can easily employ it in all 3 dimensions allowing him to freeze with a radius rather than a range. Here he will reduce an area down to -250 degree’s Celsius freezing everything within, materials of titanium class or lower will find themselves brittle enough to be easily broken and those above will be severely weakened.
Cold Snap Branched from Ice Age 48(46+2)
Type: Offensive
Range:up to (Fortune*15) yards radius
Stats:N/A
Description: At it’s apex the technique has now been refined to the point where izuru can use ice age’s method of area effect freezing on up to (accuracy)/10 points simultaneously. The combined size of these area’s cannot exceed that of Ice age’s range. When used as part of the freezing mechanic the debuff gains a 1.3x multiplier due to the severity of freezing caused.
Frozen Serpent (16)
Type: Offensive
Range: (Fortune) m
Stats:N/A
Description: Izuru creates a serpent of ice that he will then launch towards an opponent. As long as it remains attached to him he maintains full control over it and it’s able to move through ice he has created as though it were water.
Serpent wall Branched from Frozen Serpent 20(16+4)
Type: Defensive
Range: (Fortune) m
Stats:N/A
Description: Izuru spawns a blockade made up of several ice serpents intertwined that can be up to (fortune)m in diameter, it is a very strong defensive technique and can take several heavy attacks if need be. Physical contact with the barrier will cause freezing.
Serpent Spray Branched from Frozen Serpent 24(20+4)
Type: Offensive
Range: (Fortune) m
Stats:N/A
Description: Izuru fires a serpent of ice this then opens it’s mouth and spawns a new pair of snakes form it each of which do the same, this continues in the same fashion increasing the number of snakes to a maximum of (Rank*3) snakes as well as the area of effect exponentially increasing as the attack approaches the target, once within range all available snakes will often converge on the target in one large scale assault. That which is hit with this attack will also endure the secondary effect of being frozen.
Serpent Swarm Branched from Serpent Spray 44(24+20)
Type: Offensive
Range: (Fortune) m
Stats:N/A
Description: Izuru fires a serpent of ice this then opens it’s mouth and spawns a new pair of snakes form it each of which do the same, this continues in the same fashion increasing the number of snakes exponentially faster and more numerous than it's predecessor now to a maximum of (Rank*10) snakes, once within range all available snakes will often converge on the target in one large scale assault. The serpents now have their heads sharpened and pointed meaning they have the added effect of being sharp enough to pierce armor. That which is hit with this attack will also endure the secondary effect of being frozen.

Type: Offensive/Defensive
Range: (Fortune)m
Stats: N/A
Description: The culmination of his ice manipulation efforts, Izuru produces up to (Rank*2) Snakes of ice all centered from where he is placed they are bound with him as their epicenter and move with him, they can be controlled remotely to attack or defend as he wishes. If they become damaged due to them remaining attached it can be regenerated. Contact with them will result in freezing of the affected area and with prolonged contact the freezing spreads incredibly rapidly.

Description: Izuru produces a simple beam of ice to freeze targets at range.
Frozen Playground (8)
Type: Offensive
Range: (Fortune)m radius
Stats: N/A
Description: This technique requires flash freeze or a similar technique to have been used, once in contact with the ice izuru causes spikes to burst up from it without warning, these spikes fluctuate extending and retracting with no real order to their pattern making traversing the terrain a tricky business. Ultimately though it is Izuru who holds control over their action and can if he wishes cause them to appear at any point on the ice.
Frozen FairBranched from Frozen Playground 12(8+4)
Type: Offensive
Range: (Fortune)m radius
Stats: N/A
Description: Based on the same principles as it's parent technique Izuru now places a little more focus on the action causing the spikes to burst up faster, larger and with more force. This means that they are now able to pierce through medium level defences.
Frozen FestivalBranched from Frozen Fair 14(12+2)
Type: Offensive
Range: (Fortune)m radius
Stats: N/A
Description: Much like it’s predecessor only now having built on the technique further the a spikes protrude spinning like individual drills giving an added armor piercing effect.
Frozen RocketBranched from Frozen Festival 16(14+2)
Type: Utility
Range: (Fortune)m
Stats: N/A
Description: A technique that takes the essentials from it's predecessor before adapting them for a more utility based application. Rather than spikes jutting from the ice it is in this case a thick pillar of ice that bursts from beneath propelling that which is above high into the air allowing them to reach a maximum height of (fortune/2)m.

Description: The proportions of the weapons he produces can now be absurd in their degree of excess. Sizes that would be unusable to normal people. His control over them has risen to the point where he is able to enlarge or shrink them at will.

Description: Izuru fires a fast flying projectile of ice from his body often using his finger tip for better aim,this is in the shape of either a needle or a round shaped bullet

Description: Izuru fires the projectiles this time in rapid succession much like a machine gun.

Description: Izuru fires the projectiles this time at a rate comparable to a Gatling gun. Often he will perform this technique by placing both wrists facing on another and all 10 fingers pointing outward as though mimicking the shape of an actual gatling gun’s barrel.

Description: Izuru raises the transparency of his ice to the uppermost limits causing it to be completely crystal clear. This will leave it invisible to those with less than (Rank*2) accuracy.

Description: Izuru uses his devil fruit abilities to cool down the atmosphere around him, this causes condensation of water vapor and a thick fog to form obscuring vision.
Submersible (28)

Description: The vessel Izuru produces is still in the shape of a shark but can be done on a scale large enough to fit up to around 10 people inside of it and is capable of traveling to depths of 5000m it’s full speed is around ¾ of fortune and it’s movements are controlled through manipulation of the ice shell. Izuru is able to project any of his techniques through the submersible as long as they are equal to or below the rank of this technique.

Submersion Branched from Submersible 44(28+16)

Description: The vessel Izuru produces is still in the shape of a shark but can be done on a much larger scale even to the point he can use it to coat his own ship giving it submersible capabilities. He is now able to propel it be simply manipulating the ice through contact causing the tail to move as a sharks normally would to power them through the water. It's full speed is equal to that of Izuru's fortune and no longer has it’s maximum depth limited due to being far more structurally stable. At this rank Izuru is able to project his techniques through the walls of the vessel via contact and out into the surrounding environment with full control over them.

Raging Blizzard (28)

Description: Izuru will reduce the temperature of his surroundings to the point where countless small blades of ice are born before making them swirl around him in a lacerating storm that will slice up anything inside it. While using this technique no other technique with a rank of more than (fortune)/4 can be used, doing so will require more concentration than he can maintain and this technique will end.
North Wind Blows (28)

Description: After a deep inhale Izuru will exhale gale force winds that freeze anything hit by them. It will travel to the end of it's range in a cone shaped pattern freezing anything that falls within this area.

Description: After a deep inhale Izuru will exhale hurricane force winds that freeze anything hit by them, only this time they are at an even more brutal temperature of -250 degrees Celsius. Those with less than (Fortune) in terms of strength will be unable to push forward against the billowing winds. It will travel to the end of it's range in a cone shaped pattern freezing anything that falls within this area, materials of titanium class or lower become brittle enough to be easily broken and those above will be severely weakened. When used as part of the freezing mechanic the debuff gains a 1.3x multiplier due to the severity of freezing caused.

The only tripping point are some of the ranges. I know it's rank 44 and all but 4-5 kilometers for some of these techs is pretty damn far. A yard is basically just 0.9 meters, pretty odd that you switch that in a single branch.
Let's tone down range on Flash Freeze and Tundra's Embrace to F * 25 meters and F * 15 on Ice Age. With 96 fortune that gives you a range of 2400 meters on the former two and a radius of 1440 meters making the latter cover 6,514,406 square meters which apparently compares to freezing the entire island of Gibraltar in a single use and you still get scaling on those techniques as you get more fortune. Same for Cold Snap really.

I guess the strength of Weapon Creation and branches scales with fortune too?

The Ice Titan Branch could use a shared cooldown along the branch line, otherwise you can just permanently switch between these forms as you please and basically have a toggle buff.

Other than that, we're all cool. Sorry, lamest joke ever, I know =/

Fair enough but arn't fruits the same as they are in cannon? and we saw aokiji freeze between islands so there's some pretty hefty range to hie it seems. I already edited it down from what it was after talking with hideo, i guess nerfing it a bit more wouldn't be so bad, what sort of sizes are we talking?

Nothing stops you from using your techniques again. If you want to ride a bicycle between islands you can with your flash freeze technique even since you can simply use the technique again once the range ends. You can already basically easily freeze the marineford bay 3 times over and you're only at somewhat half of over Admiral assumed stats so the suggested ranges do work fine since a single point of fortune translates into 25 or 15 extra meters (basically that's the length of a small street). Doing the math on Ice Age again with just extra 4 points in fortune (at 100 fortune) you cover an area of 7,068,583 square meters. 4 points of fortune for half a square kilometer is a very fair trade in my eyes. Your scalings now are just a quite a bit over the top. You can already freeze over a small country and considering the sizes of islands in OP you freeze over pretty much 50% of every island there is already.

Izuru isn't quite at Aokiji levels yet but you'll get there pretty soon if you just keep earning sd. Besides, your ice is already damn strong, all you got ahead of you is spreading it further.
