In the darkness of the indoor arena, the cheers of thousands of spectators drowned out any audible noise, dozens of different chants rocking the stadium simultaneously, each one cancelling out the others until it became a constant roar. Different-coloured banners dotted the crowd like stars in a pitch-black sky, slogans such as "Kill them all!" and "Let's Rock!" visible on the placards, being waved by avid fans.

In a small VIP box, a man in a neat two-piece suit and with silver-streaked hair and a five o'clock shadow sat down in front of a microphone. Clearing his throat, he sung a scale away from the mic, gently holding his throat as he warmed up.

"Dooo~ AHEM! Do re mi~ mi~ AHEM! Do re mi fa so la ti do~! He coughed again, twisting his neck before approaching the microphone, swallowing before taking a breath, and speaking in a bold, authoritative tone;

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to Fight Night in the Coliseum of Carnage! The cheers of the crowd rose a dozen decibels, as the event had officially begun.

The announcer smirked before continuing his speech. "Tonight, we have a real showdown for you, as two wanted men, fresh in the Grand Line, face off to see who is the strongest! Are you ready for some CARNAGE?! The crowd exploded into mindless noise once again, banners being frantically waved in every corner of the darkened arena, as floodlights lit up a circular area about 50 meters in diameter in the center of the blackness. The sandy arena was dotted with four stone pillars in the center, making out the four corners of a square. Crates and barrels were set up in random piles around the arena, making for an obstacle course that would no doubt make this fight interesting.

"Are you ready to meet our first contestant?!" The crowd cheered their agreement that it was time to get started, as the announcer picked up his script, reading out the name and title given to him.

"Our first fighter, standing a stout five feet tall, and weighing in at two hundred and eight pounds! The most bloodthirsty, psychotic killer West Blue's Illusia has ever produced!

He's the mean, obscene killing machine, and he's here tonight for your entertainment! Give it up for...

UMBERT REEEDSTOOOOOOONE!"

The lights focused on a darkened doorway in one of the arena walls, as Umbert's stocky form strode out into the arena, his twin axes already in hand. For this fight, he was wearing crimson 3/4-length shorts and sturdy-looking black boots. His torso was completely bare, and on his head he wore a bright red baseball cap, with the word 'CRIMINAL' etched onto it in deep blue stitching etched onto the front. Umbert was wearing the cap backwards, and accompanied them with a pair of cool-looking aviator sunglasses. A wide, toothy grin was etched across his face, and if one looked closely, you could see his left eye twitching rapidly, eagerly awaiting the bloodshed to come.

As he walked out, a microphone swung down from the dark roof, hovering a few feet off the ground in front of Umbert, who took the cue and shoved one axe back into its holsters, grabbing the microphone out of the air and speaking into it in a loud, eager voice.

"You'd best be prepared fer some sprayin' blood, because I don't intend teh have any mercy! That's not how I roll!" He paused as the crowd cheered, before taking a deep breath, and roaring at the top of his lungs into the microphone.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAGGHH!!" Swinging out with his axe, Umbert severed the cord, before hurling the mic across the arena, pulling out his other axe, and letting out another bloodthirsty roar that was drowned out by the cheers of the crowd.
"If violence can't solve yer problems, then you aren't usin' enough of it!"

The crowd was still roaring for the entrance of the gingerly dwarf- on their feet and all their cheers at the peek of their lungs. But as the announcer began to introduce the second competitor, the crowd began to quiet down. "Our second contestant. Standing at six-feet tall and weighing in at one-hundred and eighty-five pounds; totally not hailing in from St. Poplar and not a part of the infamous Marine Legacy- the Adams Family. Captain of the Shining Black Pirates!" -- the crowd began to build up in their echos as their feet began to stomp and hands clasped together- the second door across the battleground from Umbert began to open up as the lights began to flash blue and shone down on the contestant. "Captain~ Colour!~" -- the crowd erupted to their feet as the bright-helmet wearing, blue-haired totally not a Marine ran out with his arms spread out, jumping around and feeding the crowd.

Wearing his signature, bright-colored and eccentric helmet, along with with an unbuttoned flannel vest- a pair of black pants and battle-ready boots, his long, blue hair flowing all freely down his backside. "My adoring fans!" -- he shouted to the crowd- despite barely being in the Grand Line; hell, he was still in the North Blue, he didn't even know how any of these people knew who he was. It didn't matter, because they adored him. "You!" -- Captain Colour struck a pose, hand on the hip as he pointed dramatically all the way across the battlefield- directly at his bloodthirsty and far too violent dwarven foe. "Ready?!" -- he felt like being far too charismatic for his own good- but the crowd most certainly loved it.

"Totally not the son of Commodore Lex Adams and grandson of Rear Admiral Lanchester Adams- Umbert might have his work cut out for him. Colour's not-training goes back three generations! He's had all that knowledge stuffed into all his training since he was old enough to throw a kick!"

Captain Colour started to stretch;bending at a single knee and stretching his leg, followed with doing the same to the opposite side. Arms from side to side- neck too. He was ready for whatever this dwarven fellow might have to throw at him- literally or figuratively speaking.

Raising his head as the announcer called out his opponent, Umbert's grin grew wider, growing crooked at the edges from its intensity and giving it a slightly creepy air to it, as his right hand idly began to spin his axe deftly between his fingers.

As the other pirate, announced as "Captain Colour", taunted him from across the arena, Umbert let out a low, animalistic growl, stopping his spinning axe as he lowered his stance, hunching his back threateningly. He was poised almost like a predator ready to pounce, as his left foot slowly shifted forward, sand kicking up gently around his foot.

Suddenly, he was off, belting at full-speed towards Colour, raising both axes to his right side as he let out an almost inhuman roar. Then without warning, Umbert leaped into the air and swung his arms around to his left side in little more than an eye blink, hurling his body into a momentum unfitting of his stocky form. As his pivoting foot hit the ground, his form blurred into a whizzing tornado of of red and skin colour.

"Redstone Hurricane!"

[Rolled a 6, keeps control.] The 5' tall tornado continued to speed across the ground in a straight line towards Colour, intending to cleave right through him and tear the captain to shreds in a single attack. No doubt if the attack succeeded, Umbert would be infuriated that he did so much damage so quickly. But no doubt not as upset as Colour would be.

Technique Used

With a eyebrow-cocking face appearing on the front of Colour's helmet, he watched in sort of amazement as the small and stout Dwarven foe so easily and quickly built up enough momentum to make himself into a miniature tornado. But while the Dwarven competitor was fast- Colour was no doubt faster. As the tornado began closing in on Colour- he knew if he didn't make an attempt to counter or evade, that this bout would be well over before it even had a chance to begin. As the bell had just rang, Colour hadn't move too far from his entrance door- and he didn't know how well Redstone had control over this technique. Waiting- Waiting- "Arc-En.." -- Waiting - "Albus!" -- in a near-instant, Colour 'blurred' out of sight and out of Umbert's path of destruction.

Appearing twenty-eight meters behind of the rampaging 'crimson tornado', Colour stood on one-foot with his back turned away from the Crimson Tornado, with his opposite leg bent as he balanced. He was still getting used to the 'Soru' technique- he wasn't going to be able to do it as constant as his grandfather or the Lieutenant he had fought back on Lyneel. But with that thought aside, Colour was going to take advantage of the distance he had made- spinning on the foot he balanced on, he swung out his leg and 'cut' the air; a leg-length long blade of air whistled across the battlefield, blowing the sand a part as it traveled toward the Crimson Tornado. "Arc-en... Argento!" -- the Rankyaku technique was something he was much more used to.

[Rolled a 4, kept control] Skidding through the dirt, the violent spinning top of blades whirled around in a small circle, turning to face Colour again as his Rankyaku attacks hurtled towards him. The slicing air clashed against Umbert's high-speed axes, deflecting off his Tazmanian form and hurtling up in the darkness of the cloud, quickly replied to by screams of panic as people ducked for cover, the attacks cleaving several rows of seats in two, most of the people in the area of danger able to leap out of the way at such long range. Most of them.

The opposite side of the arena exploded into wild cheering and whooping as Umbert spun wildly on the spot, regathering momentum after being buffeted by Colour's attack. After a few seconds the whizzing tornado tilted its head towards Colour again, and zoomed forward, slower than before but still hell-bent on causing as much damage as possible, not just to Colour himself, but to anything in his path.

"What is Captain Color going to do? He seemed to have trouble sticking the landing on that almost teleport-like technique and Umbert Redstone seems to have no trouble at all controlling that wild tornado!"

What the announcer said was sad but completely true. This Redstone fellow was quite the combatant- dare Colour say, on a different level than Colour himself was. The announcer billed him from the West Blue, but was an apparent Grand Line rookie. Even though Colour was born in the Grand Line, he was still working his way through the North Blue; he was strong, he would give himself that much, but Redstone was good. Seemingly a bit reckless in his ways, but that didn't seem to matter, not even a little bit. If he was going to make it out of this alive, he was going to have to fight tactically; not aggressively. Despite the best defense being a good offense, but Colour had the strangest feeling that being too offensive is going to end with him lacking a head.

Colour wasn't so sure he was going to be able to pull of another Soru- he was still getting used to it. Any mistake he couldn't fathom how bad it would end for him. If he could pull off one more, he might be able be able to put in some offense- all he had to do was evade the attack, but with that thought, he didn't know how long Redstone could keep this up. If he pulled off another Soru, he wasn't going to be able to pull off another one so soon- if at all during the remainder of this bout. The Tasmanian was once again closing the distance, and there wasn't anymore time to waste. The Crimson Tornado was closer- Colour could feel the pull from Redstone. Stepping forward and to the left a little, Colour didn't even announce the technique name as his foot hit the ground- once again blurring out of sight.

But this time, he wasn't so lucky- he didn't succeed in the entire twenty-eight meters. The Captain only made it about ten meters or so behind Umbert, and he wasn't even on his feet as he hit the ground as though he came to a complete halt, running at high-speeds. Once his feet were on the ground, and the halt came to, he tripped and slid forward an extra few meters. "O-o-ow.." -- he muttered to himself as he began to push off from the sand. That sure didn't-- actually, there was no plan, he had assumed that since he hasn't so much in the Soru technique, that this is exactly how he was about to end up. No matter what he did.

Once again buzzing violently past where Captain Colour once stood, kicking up a cloud of dust and sand behind his spiralling form, Umbert let out a low growl, and attempted to steer to his right to turn and face Colour again. But what he quickly came to realize as he stumbled and found himself hopping and twirling uncontrollably, was that he'd lost momentum in his attack, and had slowed to a halt, as he found his feet and stumbled.

His disorientation was immediate noticeable, as he staggered forward in an attempt to find his balance and failing, managing to barrel over and land on his shoulder with a grunt, having enough bearings to catch himself on one knee as he came out of the roll, sand stuck to his already gleaming skin. Trying to focus on Colour, Umbert squinted. He could see his opponent, but his vision was completely askew, wavering all over the place and making Umbert unable to concentrate on his target.

Deciding that the best way to protect himself was to stop Colour from letting off an attack, Umbert forced himself to his feet, and charged at full pace towards Colour, seemingly ignorant of his swerving course, but was in fact putting all his willpower into his keeping his eyes on his target, letting his axes drop to hang at the end of the chains attached to each of his gloves.

As he closed in on Colour, he began to swing his axes in a circular motion, attempting to pick up momentum to turn his weapons into something similar to his previous attack. He hissed as he lost his balance for a moment, and the weapon attached to his left hand came to close and cut a neat groove across his bicep, but he pressed on regardless, letting out a roar as he came within range of Colour, and swinging out with the chain-hanging axe in his right hand, before quickly following up with the left, attempting to slash at him with the whip-like attacks.

Of course, for good measure, he added a scare tactic, his eyes alight with wild anger at his confusion, and his frustration at his enemy's evasive abilities.

"RRAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!"
