------------------------------------------------ Account Name: Estrios Basic Character Information Name: Jack Stone Nickname: Boone (Most people never end up knowing his real name) Age: 22 Gender: Male Race: Human Affiliation: Pirate (However, when unemployed he hunts down bounties for money, kind of like Zoro) Bounty: 0 Achievements: None yet Profession: ~Marksmen (Primary) The profession of Marksman provides sound experience and insight in calculating range, distance and wind elements and their impact on the path of a projectile. It is a general trait that applies to guns, slingshots, cannons, rifles and the like. People without this profession will have little to no luck in firing cannonballs where they are supposed to go under normal battle conditions. ~Inventor (Secondary) An inventor is a man or woman with knowledge in how various mechanical devices work. They have good insight in how blueprints work, and can upgrade weapons, build explosives and battle engines if they have enough materials. Position: N/A, currently unemployed Physical Appearance Height: 6'2" Weight: 153 lbs. Hair: Short and slightly messy jet black hair, though he tries to keep it clean when possible. Eyes: His left eye is a light green, while the other is a pale silver for some odd reason. Clothing/Accessories: Usually wears a grayish colored sleeveless shirt, covered by a thick leather jacket that he wears like a cloak for the most part (Without using the sleeves), which is black with dull golden lining. For pants he uses baggy pale blue trousers. They're very well-worn, but have few stains or large marks on them. He wears a leather belt with his trousers, with 13 different small pockets on it, each usually carrying a different type of unique ammunition. To go along with that, he also carries a sling/strap that allows him to strap in his custom made rifle to his back. He walks barefoot in most places, though when he must cover his feet, he usually just borrows or steals someone elses shoes. General Appearance: When people first meet him, they usually make him out to be some sort of poor gun hobbyist or something. "Unclean, rude, and undeserving of any title above a peasant or beggar." Even by pirates, marines, bounty hunters, and just about any other combatants he faces, he is never believed to be a skilled and experienced killer. However, they are often surprised at his skill. Boone is healthy, though he looks somewhat skinny, showing only slightly above average muscle. In most situations, he has a rather crooked and relaxed posture: hands in pockets, arched back, head hung low, etc. Aside from the way he carries himself though, he looks mostly like any other average human. One last thing somewhat noteworthy is that he nearly always has a piece of wheat or grass in his mouth, as he believes it's something to think about when bored. The Character Personality: (If you've ever watched Death Note, he's comparable to L) Boone is very…carefree. He doesn't really care what happens to anyone but him, he rarely listens to anyone and does what he wants, and he doesn't really care what other people think of him. However, though he may seem strange and disorganized at times, he will follow his captain's orders without question or hesitation, no matter how stupid or unreasonable they may sound. This is probably one of the few things that can seem honorable of him, and his unnerving loyalty shows no end. When he is approached in normal conversation, he'll usually show to have a habit of talking in long bursts at one time, often getting off topic. Though when he "doesn't feel like talking," He'll usually just try and keep quiet, saying only what's important. A few seconds talking with him and most people would find someone else to go to either way. However, he's also unintentionally strange enough to be funny, and his unusual nature makes him put people in a lighthearted mood when relaxed, and a questionable one when in danger. He rarely tells people his real name, and his age seems unimportant to him. He also tells only a very small handful of people about his history, though he often lets out a few random facts on his life in different situations. I.e. A random fishing trip with his father while eating sushi, hints on his brother's job when facing marines, etc. Hometown: Conomi Islands, East Blue History: If you were to ask around anywhere, even in his own hometown, there would be very few people who would know anything about Boone's past. Few people even know his real name and age, but his history can barely be found anywhere outside of his own mind and memory. Of course, Boone constantly spills random facts of his life constantly, but beside that…zilch. When Boone was a kid he never saw the point of school, or his future, or anything like that. He did what he liked. And there were many things he liked: sharp objects, explosives, guns, pranks, pirates…anything that was closely related to trouble, he liked it. He had a nice family, something most people wouldn't expect from his behavior and personality. His father was a marine lieutenant that worked in the town they lived as a base commander. His mother was the only doctor of the town during his childhood, quite skilled in her profession. Along with his parents, Boone also had, and still has, a brother and a sister. His brother (1 year younger) was a nerd in some sense, learning everything he could about sea navigation, ship construction, military guidelines, etc., hoping to one day become a respected marine captain just like his father. Boone's sister (2 years younger) was also somewhat of a troublemaker, but much less so, though she was more interested in learning different combat styles than normal schoolwork, hoping to become a known warrior one day. In their early childhood, Boone and his siblings were caught in the middle of a disaster that struck their town. The town they had been born in and had come to love was attacked by a nasty band of pirates. It was said that the bounties of every crew member of the attacking pirates totalled over 300,000,000 belis. They ravaged the town, taking thousands of belis worth of valuables, and what seemed like just as many lives. One of those lives was Boone's mother. The pirates left, and Boone's family went into a grieving stage. His brother took it the worst, crying for hours on end and losing focus in the schoolwork he loved so much. His sister simply became really quiet, and her fun-loving nature disappeared for a while. Boone was shocked, but unlike what you would expect from a ten-year-old, he took it rather well. He understood that people died, and thought of his mother as just another life, albeit one that he cared more about. As for their father, his grief was overwhelming. Sometimes he wouldn't even bother with his work with the marines, simply staying at his wife's grave for hours, or just being unable to give enough thought into anything when he was at HQ. Then, two years later, a new catastrophe struck Boone's family. Boone was twelve years old at the time, his siblings one and two years younger respectively. Their father had been sent off as a ship captain to hunt down a few high bounty pirates. He never came back. The three children were told that their father should have arrived about three months after he had left, but after five had past, the sister of the three decided to do some snooping around the marine base and found out that their father had been killed by the pirates he had been after. Another grieving stage hit the remaining three children. It didn't affect them as much as it had before though, as they had already dealt with such loss. The only way Boone responded was by giving more thought and taking more responsibilities to make sure that the trio would survive. His sister also didn't show much change: She had come to understand life and death and didn't grief too much of their father's death. Their brother, though, still grieved nearly as much as he had from their mother's loss. However, he was more interested in revenge this time, and worked harder than ever to become a marine so he could hunt down the pirates he hated so much. For the next few years, the trio stuck together, doing everything possible to survive and not be taken away to orphanages or the like. However, fate would later force them to go their separate ways. The first to leave the group was Boone himself, now 15 years old. He one day decided to sneak onto a pirate ship. A nice crew, much unlike the evil pirates that invaded his home town. He had told his siblings that he was leaving, but when asked for a reason why, he simply said that he had "felt like it." Second to leave was Boone's brother, also 15 when he decided to do so. He left to the marine base of his hometown, intent on becoming a marine, and quickly rising through ranks as he got older, thanks to his preemptive knowledge. Boone's sister, 13 at the time, tried to join the marines along with her brother, but her reckless nature and constant want for fighting got her kicked out soon enough. So, she traveled to nearby towns and kept on gaining combat experience until she became a bounty hunter at age fifteen, already taking out bounties of 100,000 belis and more before she was even fully grown. Boone, however, unlike his siblings, became a pirate. Soon after he had snuck onto his first pirate ship he quickly became a part of the pirate's crew. He stayed with them until he was 17, until he said that it got boring, and left them during a raid somewhere in the Grand Line. Since then, he's jumped between about 5 pirate crews, becoming quite the sharpshooter. Present: In the present-day, much has changed between the three siblings. Boone's brother is now 21 years old, and is known for being the youngest marine to reach the rank of lieutenant, bent on putting every pirate he sees behind bars. Boone's sister, now 20, is now a famed pirate hunter, known for taking down hundreds of pirates in her day, some reaching even 5 million belis and more. As for Boone, he's been jumping between pirate crews as stated, but is currently unemployed and wandering around the Organ Islands. Abilities and Possessions Combat: Above all, Boone tries to avoid close quarters combat as much as possible, usually finding tactical spots away from the battle to take down the most dangerous enemies from afar. And if regular bullets won't hurt them, Boone will start using any of the special ammunition he's made for himself, ranging from explosive rounds to toxic gas cartridges to piercing ammunition. However, Boone is not a complete failure at close quarters combat. Should an enemy be able too close to Boone, he has also trained himself to master a combat style he has developed for close quarters combat. He uses his rifle in a flurry of blunt and fast melee attacks, along with a shot mixed in whenever he can fit it into the battle. Weaponry: A custom made long-range rifle, given to him as a gift by his first pirate captain and constantly modified by Boone.
