Just wondering, in order to put a dial into an object, do you have to have an inventor in your crew or can a smith do it since they are capable of creating weapons themselves.

Smiths create materials. Inventors put those materials to use.

For something like like a dial glove, I'd say you need neither. Just a glove with an impact dial at the palm or so.

Would depend on the object in particular but you want a dial sword or something, that's inventor territory. Like a flame sword would basically be smith AND inventor since you need inventor to put the dial in the sword and a smith for the custom ignitable metal. Though maybe red sand applies for that...

Depends on what you want specifically but I hope this gives you an idea.

Ya it does, i was planning on putting either an impact dial in a sword or a flame dial in it. I heard that the impact dials hurt you as well though, so i don't think it would be much of a good idea to use them to often. Is there any more information about the impact dials though? Because it was seen that some people with one in their gloves were able to use them without appearing to be hurt, and others like usopp getting the rough end of the stick.

you need strength and stamina to endure the recoil. Its like firing a shotgun the recoil can hurt you if you aren't prepared.

Also dials seem to magically cause things to catch on fire so i'm not sure if you'd need a special material. Like the heat dial turned that one spear that was an average spear into a flaming spear.

Alright, just two more questions about impact dials for the moment. How much damage can they absorb, and if you happen to have haki protection could it prevent you from being harmed if it turns out the dial's strength is to much for you?

They can absorb any sort of blunt damage, even a 150 strength punch. However they only deal out a limited amount to keep them from being overpowered by just banging them on rocks and shit with 100 strength. depends on the level of haki you have but yeah it's a possibility.

So is the limiting factor just a standard 100 strength or such across the board for how much damage they can do, or does it scale with the person using it? Such as the user has 75 stamina, so they could be able to have the impact dial release 75 strength or something similar.
