Sakura stood in her position on the arena, about twenty feet from the centre of the marble square. The crowd was quiet for once, waiting with anticipation for the final fight of the festival. She had her reservations about entering this competition when she saw the kind of people running around but she’d heard that the other finalist was from the Calm belt as well, and was taking advantage of the lack of rules in this event. What kind of weapon did she use? Where was she from? How did she fight? Sakura didn’t know, but she was looking forward to finding out, grin in place as she waited for her opponent to arrive. |

Walking towards the arena center Aello idly carries her spear in her right hand with a slight frown. Fighting other people didn’t appeal to her very much, more so in an enclosed space where it couldn’t become something more along the lines of a hunt. With a grimace she rolled her shoulders as she walked back out to the arena, her blue eyes shifting over to look at her bare back, lacking the hunting bow. It served as no use in fighting under such conditions, something that made her sigh with disappointment. Wondering why she even bothered to enter, she glanced over to her opponent as she tilted her head and gripped the spear in her right hand. Clad in animal furs and leather Aello eyed her opponent as she walked near the center of the arena like they were told to by the instructors, the reason she had forsaken her bow. Her gaze sizing up the fighter as she smiled slightly, she may have misunderstood what these events were meant for, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t have fun. Pointing the spear in front of her she slid back into a slightly crouching position, both hands holding the sharp iron edge at her opponent. “Let’s see if this is harder than killing boars.” She says teasingly, used to boars literally running into the tip of her spear after only two prodding arrows to get them in a mad enough rage. |

Green eyes glanced over her opponent, noting the choice of clothing; furs and leathers reminded her of her own home island, maybe she was from a similar island? Ah well, it didn’t much matter, she could ask her all the questions she wanted later on. The spear added to the entire tribal theme and she did look like she actually knew how to use it. This was looking to be quite interesting indeed. She slid into a stance herself, keeping her hands raised. “I’d hope that I am tougher than a boar. I don’t think that I would make good leather.” She responded cheerily, keeping an eye on where that spear was pointing. It had been awhile since she’d fought a weapon user who knew what they were doing but she didn’t need an extra hole in her. The judge or referee or whatever he felt like calling himself stood at the edge of the arena, whistle in hand. There was no bothering with introductions or recaps; this crowd only cared for the champions and there was a high enough death rate that they only bothered asking for names when there was a winner. Given her general disregard of people who couldn’t keep her interest in a fight, Sakura could understand where they were coming from. The whistle that signalled the start of the final round also marked her dash forward, charging at her opponent at a slight angle so she didn’t have an easy time just spearing her like those boars of hers. She normally waited for her opponent to commit to an action first but in this case, she needed to get out of stabbing range so she didn’t become a shish kebab. She had her palm ready to strike given a proper opening, eager to score the first strike. Tech Edited by Darkoda, Apr 19 2012, 12:51 PM.
