Sun was shining high in the sky still, even though night was approaching. It could be felt from the colder winds that blew toward the mass's of land, sweeping along the sandy beaches, crossing the docks and blowing into the cities. Large group of islands, few big and many small ones all join together, in their own private party that would last till the night. It was a good day to arrive, this Friday evening when everyone was either relaxing or partying.

Large shoulders, a straight strong back and a big build. Pull, pull, pull. The boat slide along over the water, a plain rowboat for a single person, well, for a single larger person. The bow met the strip of beach along the sea, where salt and sand met. The rows hit the islands bed and thus were moved over on the boat.

The strike of a boot hit the water and the sand the sea was washing. Splashing about slightly, another foot soon followed, leaving large imprints on the beach that soon vanished with the oncoming tide. A hand took a firm grasp of the bow of the boat and with only few steps dragged the whole thing along for several meters. Reaching into the boat then, a white package made out of a single cloth surrounding a very tall but slim form and a large leather satchel. As they were holstered together like a bums bundle the wind blew those long brown hairs back and revealed the smiling face of this large woman.

Towering tall she looked out to the sea she had just travelled over, seeing few of the other islands surrounding and stretching out from this southern one. She took out a note from the chest pocket of her suits jacket and looks at it, dropping it to the sand afterwards. Opening her smiling mouth to a larger grin which flashes a row of sharp white teeth before she turns her back to the sea and the wind blowing from there rather pushes her hair forth covering her face. Her large footprints spread over a meter apart as she walks slowly toward the town she didn't want to row into. Those docks she stares at look like the mouth of a great beast, with the teeth forming from those half-stripped down mouths of all those ships and with a sign above it all saying "Haiiro Village"

Looking around as she passes the edge of the town along to the docks, the sun was still high but everything seemed grey. Like there was a foul smoke covering it all, a mist of sorts though the air was clear. Maybe it was just a feeling of uneasiness that was to be expected. For this visit wasn't going to be for nothing. Her smile faded and with the shadow of Dolly's hair covering most of her face only the words told of a more serious attitude as Dolly spoke, "Now where should I start.. To find my prey."

The note laying on the beach getting soaked and covered in the sand carried by the waves of the tide. Clearly something ripped off of a newspaper, it read as follows: "There have been rumours about indecent activities happening in the area's near the Hitsuji Archipelago, and the rumours are getting stronger and closer to the group of islands. All travellers are advices to take more caution if heading through the area." Finally taken away by the tide the note washing off to the high seas, the first clue that had led Dolly here signalling the start of an adventure.

In Haiiro Village, there was a house on the outskirts that had been abandoned for years. The owner of the house had died due to mysterious causes, and many suspected the house of being haunted, swearing they heard strange creaks and moans coming out from it. Those that didn't believe in things such as ghosts have no reason to want to take the house for themselves. As a result, it's been left to rot for all of eternity, nobody willing to use it. Nobody, that is, except for a gang of pirates who managed to sneak onto the Archipelago.

In the dark basement, with a lantern hanging above a table the only source of light, a man was sitting down counting wads of beli. He was an older man, probably in his mid to late thirties, but even with his gray hair and weary eyes, he still gave off the impression of someone you didn't want to mess with. He sat there simply counting, completely ignoring the strange man that was pacing around the room in the meantime. He was a tall and lanky fellow, his age indeterminable because his face completely covered in white make-up that made him resemble a clown, though he was probably in his early to mid twenties. "God damn it Nelson, are you done yet?!? I'm getting impatient" The man twitched when he finished each sentence, as if he had spasms or something similar. Yet the older man still ignored him and just continued counting. Beli by beli, one bill at a time.

"Target is in sight," an average-sized man in a trench coat said to himself in the distance, binoculars fixed on the fishwoman who had just arrived on the island. It was his job to follow anybody suspicious-looking who managed to make their way onto the island, and he felt that this woman fit the bill. He'd take careful notes of her behavior, making sure that he could fully determine whether she was dangerous or not, or perhaps he'd learn that she had a bounty on her head. Haiiro needed all of the money it could get nowadays; even the small fry had something to offer. So the man placed his binoculars back in his trench coat pocket and crouched down a bit; he was far enough away that she probably couldn't see him anyways, but not worth the risk.

It was time to start following the fishwoman.

Moving inside the town was easier than Dolly first thought. That ominous feeling and those rumours about the entire Archipelago seemed to not be specific for this island. Or maybe she was just walking deeper into the trap. Well whatever the case was, Dolly kept sure of walking down the main road, keeping on sure that the way back was available and that she didn't attract too much attention to herself. She was very aware of her own large size and outward appearance, but it didn't bother her one bit.

Walking along the main street on could see multiple sights. It was obvious this town traded a lot, and for a reason that made Dolly feel a little more at ease. It was good seeing these different types of shops and boutiques, even though she could constantly feel the stare of others as she slowly slipped into plain window-shopping. A little bit of jewellery, butchers shops, smithy, clothes shops and of course a small market area.. It was very decent and lovely looking, though a shame everything was slowly bringing it's doors to a close.

Dolly wasn't certain how long she had been browsing the windows and walking across the street, but she was certainly familiar with the main layout of the area by now and also with the towns attitude to outsiders. No-one seemed to approve of her, even less than anywhere else. Every-time she had passed by the main city hall she took a small pause and stared at that building that stood out by it's larger size. Across from the street from that, couple blocks away from the docks, Dolly also saw an inn. But before a nights rest, Dolly wanted to visit the docks once more.

Her footsteps echoed lonely in the streets, no-one else really having any bussiness outside anymore. As Dolly approached the docks, she saw a group of fellows, obviously finishing the day. Few quick steps allowed her to catch up with the group of men before they started heading toward the town's other side, clearly avoiding her. With the sweetest and softest voice she could muster, Dolly threw out a hello.

"Hey guys~ Could you help me out a little?" With a little innocent play and a sweet face painted across her milky skin Dolly approached the fellows, a group of people smaller than her whole size. "I arrived here today.. Would you fellows mind keeping me some company at the pub uptown? I really need to wash off that smell of sea off of me with some hard liquor."

"Target is meeting with some shady suspects. Possible criminal organization." The man in the trench coat said to himself. It was disgusting how these criminals worked out in the broad daylight; he would step in and stop this, but he was sent to spy and report, not to take action. Still, how he wished to put a stop to the scum that filled this place; they should lock them all up and throw away the key! They can then beg to be broken out, beg for food and water, beg for existence. This was how criminals should be treated, what they deserved!

Despite what the man thought, these men were not bad guys and not apart of any criminal organization whatsoever. They also wanted nothing to do with the fishwoman as, even after she called out to them, most of them kept walking and ignored her. All except one: Mr. Thomas Bishop. Mr. Bishop had grown up with a fine set of manners and was taught to always be polite, and though he did not want to converse with this woman necessarily, he felt like he should do the right thing and do so anyways. So unlike his companions, he stopped turned around and faced her. "Sorry about my friends, they just...... Anyways, I'm Thomas Bishop, though you can just call me Tom I guess. I guess I can spend some time with you...." The man scratched his head a bit, a bit nervous of the whole situation since he wished he wasn't in it to begin with. "Lead the way, I guess?"

"C'mon man, hurry the fuck up!" The man was now growing impatient, twitching even more now and constantly checking his watch. It looked as if any minute now froth would come from his mouth and he would collapse from rabies or some disease like that. Yet the pace of the older man counting the money did not change at all. He continued to ignore his impatient partner, still counting the beli with care. Eventually, it was too much for the latter to handle; he walked over to the table and flipped it, launching all the papers and stuff on it into the air as the table then came back down to the floor with a crash. The beli, however, remained in the older man's hands as he finally finished counting it. "8 million beli," he said in a low, mono-toned voice. At this, the impatient man finally calmed down, leaning back against a wall as if he never freaked out to begin with. "Alright, that makes 20 million total this week. Not bad; not bad at all..."

Almost instantly starting to walk toward the inn up town, Dolly offers her large hand, opening it up, thus spreading the webs between the fingers. Almost seeming to pull Thomas along, she offers her friendship and name: "Thomas, huh. That's a nice name for a nice man. It is nice to meet ya' - You can call me Dolly." As Dolly speaks she uses a lot of weight on every word and emphasising the word nice every time, more so on the latest one. Speaking with also with a slight accent, she gives off the feel of a true foreigner."So, you around these parts or just travelin' through?"

Arriving at the inn didn't take long. Following the smell of cheap booze and burned food wasn't hard either, but all the way through the town, though no-one was around as only few red stripes illuminated the sky, Dolly couldn't shake the feeling of someone staring at her. Maybe it was woman's intuition, maybe it was her experience already in this field, maybe it was just in her head or maybe that feel had just stuck from earlier.. But something was truly off with this town and Dolly was determined to find out what.

As they got to the inn they got a small corner table in the bar area, off of the other few people trying to forget about the day. An old man was sitting next to a man playing a sad soft tune on the piano, making love to his tonic and gin. It was a nice feel, for once, but the moment they had come in, the music stopped for a moment and everyone gazed, mainly at the huge woman, for quite a bit of time. Only after they had settled down did everything start flowing like life does, continuing on without no-one really being able to do anything about it.

"So, could you tell me what's wrong with this town?" Dolly takes a first chug of the beer she had ordered and then spits it all back in. "God what piss is this," she whispered before going down on something in that large leather sac of hers. "Okay, now we're in business." Seeming very strong-willed and assertive, Dolly kept taking the situation into her own hands, opening a bottle of wine and pouring some in a couple 'new' glasses she snatched from the nearby table.

"You know, the have to go's, the get to go's and the bosses around here." - Dolly didn't even give Thomas an inch after asking her question, seeming way too aggressive. "You do know that I'm here 'cos of the late pirateein' that I've heard so much about... Well, what are your thoughts? Don't just sit there while a lady is askin' you a few questions."

"Uhh, I've lived here since as long as I can remember; that's all that there is to be said on the matter really..." Thomas Bishop wasn't a rude man, so he felt almost forced to hang out with this woman who..... she just gave off the wrong vibe. Maybe it was because he had grown up in a place that discriminated against odd-looking people; to be fair fishman normally caused a lot of trouble around these parts. But he tried his best to keep an open mind; who knew, maybe this evening wouldn't be so bad...

It was like hunting; the fishwoman was the prey and the man was the hunter, following carefully as to not allude to his movements. Or as much as the woman and her companion were concerned; it was painfully obvious to everyone else that the man was following the two. "Mommy," one boy had said, "why is that man stalking that lady?" The boy's mom had hushed him, hoping that the man in question did not overhear him. But he was too focused on stalking following the woman and her partner in crime, all the way to the inn. Gasp! What if they were going to proceed to sell illegal drugs? Or hit on women and men of inappropriate age?!? He still couldn't take action, but he had to report this! And with that, the man was off running towards the village chief's residence.

Man, that was awkward; the whole place fell silent for awhile after they entered the room, probably because of this fishwoman, Dolly was it? It's not that the village was racist, it was just that..... yeah, racist might be a good term. But it was more out of fear than simple dislike or anything; it was probably more like discrimination if anything. But either way, he felt weird being with the woman for all to see and talk about; they probably knew that Mr. Bishop was just being nice, but even so...

Mr. Bishop took a drink of his beer at the same time Dolly did, though he didn't treat it with the same disgust. What he did treat with disgust was how she took some used glasses from another table and then poured wine into both of them (before he could object of course). Were all fishpeople like this or what?

The woman kept bombarding him with words and questions that he wasn't sure what to make out of it. She asked him what he thought about all of this but all of what? The pirates? "If you mean the pirates then it's because of them that this village can keep on functioning and expanding, so I'm glad they're here in a sense. If that's not what you mean, then I guess I don't understand what you're trying to ask..."

"Oh I was bein' way too unclear, wasn't I?" - Dolly passes more wine around, aiming to relax Bishop a little. "Let me be frank, Mr.Bishop: I'm here on the bussiness of takin' the unjust to justice. And I won't stop. These towns make their money on pirates and are thus happy they exist? I don't care who hears it here; I don't like it. But I'm not here to judge."

Taking a large swig right out of the bottle which during she leans back on her whole chair, not feeling the alcohol even a bit after her third glass full of wine, only drops in the bottle left and she fills her own glass with that. Looking at the whole bar, some of them still looking back at her, she just smiles and raises a glass to the most obvious staring eyes and then swings the rest of it down. Leaning over to Bishop after giving him a moment to recollect his thoughts, she continues where she left off. "What I want from you is information, information, information. I ain't askin' much, in my opinion and if you want you can get a share in the end if it helps... But this place ain't good for talkin' anymore. Come, we're continuin' this party elsewhere."

While getting up Dolly grabs her bottle and throws it into the leather sac, she then reaches down and grabs also that large white package of hers. While passing the barkeep she throws few coins down and asks for a key, which she gets after a little bit of time. Obviously considering where could, or should he even, accommodate this large fishwoman. Dolly didn't feel a thing about it, if the people chose to be rude, she had no reason to act civil around them either. "They want to hate me, huh.. Well, that's not new," she thought to herself while walking up the stairs on the corner of the inn and up to the rooms. She didn't even bother to make sure Bishop was following, she just assumed he was.

The room was number 9, a decent sized one with a wooden table, an old bed and a sepperate shower room with the craper. The bed was against the wall opposing the room door, near the right corner, the crapper and shower room was at the opposite corner, standing next to that wall was a closet for clothes, this one reaching in just normal depth half-way to the door, emphasizing the size of the room, in a negative way. It was small, but Dolly could live with it. The table was placed exactly at the opposing door-side corner from where the bed was a nd there was only one light source, a ceiling fixture which shone purely not even to the furthest corners of the room.

Dolly sat down on the bed, taking most of it even by not laying down, waving her free arm at the seat next to the table. "Come on, warm your ass on that. I'll be frank yet again, I don't like the people here." Dolly kept looking around the room, there was one window pointing to the back alley between this building and the next one, so something to go out through and nothing to come in from unnoticed. "This will do nicely," she thought. The package and sac laid on the floor now, between the bed and wall with the window, waiting there as Dolly pulled herself along the bed, sitting at the headrest end, her back against the wall and her feet still reaching over the bed. "Small, but cosy.. I think those are synonyms."

Dolly seemed to have lost her sense of touch of the situation too. She seemed a little flushed, the wine took it's effect with a delay, as it does. It took her a moment of staring to space, listening and staring to regroup her thoughts. As she did, she finally asked the questions she truly wanted an answer for. "... A) Who and where is the leader of this town.. and B) who all work for capturin' these crooks that run by your oh so dear town?" - First staring out of the window, Dolly then looks straight at Bishop, obviously waiting for a straight answer as her almost white eyes, with only those small black comas, stare directly through him, no, into him.

After hearing Bishop out, Dolly continues, "I need to know everything there's to know, or these guys.. These guys will wreck this place. I'm not saying I'm your only hope, but I'm the best shot this towns got. No-one else is going to help, the other towns just think that it's less competition in the end and that they'll just take these crooks theirselves.." - Taking a small breather, Dolly stands up, towering the room, having to bend her neck actually a little bit to fit properly, she casts her large shadow on Bishop while continuing. - "I'm honestly disgusted, I understand the value of money, but it's not all about money. Without peace and order there's no point for money, so why are you people so obsessed with money?"

In reality, not expecting an answer, Dolly sits down on the side of the bed, staring at the window in front of her. She sighs, "... I'm getting tired now, tomorrow is the day I aim for, you can leave now.." - After Bishop would start to leave, Dolly calls out once more. "Hey.. Thanks for keepin' me company.. In the end, you're an okay guy."

This woman did have a point: pirates will still evil either way. But if it wasn't for them, then the main source of profit for the entire town would just disappear, and that could mean disaster. But, everybody did have a right to their own opinion.

Dolly then asked Mr. Bishop to go somewhere else with him. To be honest, at this point he didn't even care what other people thought. As long as things didn't get too weird or anything, he'd be cool with it. So he followed her up to the room and sat next to her, responding to her questions. "Mayor Townsend is the leader of our illage, if you can even call it a village anymore," he began. "He lives around the middle of town in a nice little house, though not as impressive at what you might find other places. As for the people who capture the criminals, they're just people who are hired by the mayor. Even if we can lure criminals here, though, we still need people to catch them, and when it comes to that, we normally, unfortunately, need outside help."

He then heard Dolly out till she said he could go ahead and go. He felt like he should say something once more about why they cared about the money, but he decided against it. He had a feeling she couldn't change her mind. He just simply said, "It's been a pleasure, mam." and walked off.

"So, you're interested in taking out some pirates, are you?" A little while after Mr. Bishop left another person, a woman this time, entered Dolly's room. She was wearing a trench coat and hat just like the man following Dolly earlier, though she would appear more calm and "stable" to people. "My name is of no concern to you; just call me L. I work for Mayor Townsend, and you considering what I heard, you might be interested in this..... problem we have."

The moment Dolly heard another set of footsteps outside her door, footsteps that ended in front of her door, she stood up, expecting Bishop to come back. But suddenly a woman barged in through the unlocked door, and Dolly was close to jumping at her and ramming her against the wall. The only thing that stopped her was her first words as she stepped into the room.

"Who are you?" - Dolly asked as a question to her initial question, only to be answered in almost the same breath. Listening to her proposal, Dolly sat down back on the bed, just so she could reach her large white package, holding inside her best means with problems, a little quicker. Though she wasn't worried at all about this woman, not at least with her other hand in her lap, right next to another blade tucked underneath her jacket.

Putting two and two and two together, Dolly added up that strange feeling she had all day, and also her perfect timing combined with knowledge of what she wants to do, coming to a conclusion. "Either Bishop ran to her about me, which I trust he didn't do, or.." - Dolly laid back, feeling at ease and not threatened really anymore, she just shot her own next question at the woman. "You're the one who's been keepin' an eye on me since I arrived then? Or you got some mutt runnin'bout in the town, sniffin'?"

"I'm not really interested in your stories,'L' or whoever it was, to be honest.. You work for the mayor, so I trust this is his proposition we're talkin'bout? If it is, I want a private meetin' with the man.. And I want it to be discreet, in the shadows.." Dolly then sat up, straightening her jacket a little before actually removing it, showing the handle of her smaller blade, a square plain coloured wakizashi that she places down on the table, twisting it to spin around as she turns away from it. Dolly then just lets her pants fall on the ground and she falls down on the bed, showing her grey backsides colour, turning around and it can be seen that her front sides skin colour is pure white. While turning around Dolly glares first at the window and then at the door, actually looking surprised to still see this 'L' person.

"What are you still doin' here? Did I say I want to meet him today? I paid for the night, so I'm goin' to use it, even if this town seems unsafe.. But I'm sure you'll keep my back for the night..." Dolly smiles revealing her teeth, then laughing a little at the thought of this shrimp trying to defend the shark. Turning her side so she stares at the window, Dolly just waves her hand at 'L'. "Go on, shrimp, go arrange the meetin'..."

"It seems N didn't make himself well hidden; he's new to the job, so I wouldn't have expected better of him or anything, but again, that's no concern to you." L listened to what this woman had to say about wanting to have a private meeting with the mayor and chuckled a bit. And then she followed up by saying that she assumed that she, L, would keep her safe for the night and then ordered her to go off and do her bidding as if she was some peon. Perhaps they would sit down and laugh about it later, though L wasn't really the laughing type. "I like your attitude; you got spunk. But let me make this clear: there aint no way in hell that the mayor will agree to meet with you in private. But I guess I'll ask him anyways, maybe even get another good laugh out of it."

She smirked a bit before she began to walk out, stopping while she was in the middle of the door way. "Oh, and don't think I'm going to babysit you and look after you for the night; if someone actually does come to you looking for trouble and you can't handle them yourself, then perhaps I should rethink my proposal..." And with that she was gone as quick as she came. If only this fishwoman knew what she was getting herself into.

"So we doing this or what?" The tall, clown looking man was tired of standing around, even after he knew how much money they had made. There was still one more thing to be done tonight: meet with their main seller about the following week's plans. Yet if things went like they planned, there wouldn't be much to talk about. The older, more patient man simply nodded his head as he stood up and began to walk towards the stairs, taking his time. Obviously his partner would prefer to not wait for him, so he went and bolted on ahead. He just needed to know that they were actually going through with the plan; he didn't need to wait up on his partner till they actually got to the rendezvous sight.

Had the mayor or his "helpers" known where these two criminals resided currently, they probably wouldn't still be here. Yet they avoided detection as easy as pie, as if they knew where and when they could be followed and how to prevent it should they be at said place and time. They made their way through back allies towards another abandoned building on the other side of town, traveling without making a sound. The tall man got to the building first, but he waited about another 30 seconds for his partner to catch up and they entered the building together.

Upon entering, they suddenly found themselves facing three other men, each armed with a pistol of some kind pointed at the two criminals. But it wasn't as if they were law enforcement or anything; rather, the leader was the main seller that they had come here to meet. Yet it didn't look like were going to be treated nicely. "Don't take this the wrong way, fellas," their leader said. "We just think that if we're doing all the work, we should be getting all the pay. So it's time to say goodbye."

The duo just stood there for a few seconds before the tall man with the white face started chuckling, and then he started laughing, followed by cackling manically. Had the area around the building been completely silent, anyone within a few hundred feet might have heard him. Yet even though the building was abandoned, those around it were not; bars and other buildings were making as much noise as ever, even at this time of night. The leader of the trio started to swat a bit, as if he was afraid simply because this man was laughing. "Wh-what's so funny?" Yet he got no reply from the cackling man. Instead, the other smirked a bit before beginning to speak.

"We were just about to tell you the same thing."

The next morning, everyone at the inn was talking about the three dead bodies in the abandoned building down the street.

The night was reckless, sounds of the town didn't die out at all. Maybe she should've just went out and patrol around, it would've been way more fun that sitting here on the bed with only the moonlight shining through one large window, like a veil spreading over everything inside the room with it's grey-blue glow.

Dolly's hand reached down besides the bed and pulled up what was most familiar to her. A white package, just a cloth wrapped around the whole thing.. She tucked and twisted the cloth around a little before with a flick of her wrist, turning her palm upwards with the handle laying on her palm, the whole sheet untwisted from around what lied inside. Hanging from a hole in the hand-guard, the white sheet like a tail fell down into a pile on the floorboards, while that long scabbard stretched out across the bed, stretching almost the same length as Dolly herself.

"You're as beautiful as ever.." Reaching one hand over the scabbard, Dolly turned this large Odachi around until it was horizontally parallel to herself, with her fist clenched tightly around the scabbard just where it connected to the blade. Pushing off the hand-guard with her thumb she then unsheathed the first third of the blade, that iron blade shining blue in the moonlight. "Should we go dancin' tonight?"

Swing of her leg and a movement of her arms, it didn't take Dolly long to get off that uncomfortable bed and into what she felt protected in. Her suit properly put on, she looked outside from the window across the town, up to the sky.. Dolly sat down with a sigh as she started to wrap the sheet back around her most trustworthy friend, like a blanket around her own child she put it together with care and love.

Just before her hand landed on the doors handle, Dolly looked out toward the window. She sighed and then shook her head. "Aren't I gettin' a little rusty.. There's no way there wouldn't be a lookout, would there?", she thought to herself. Swing of the hatch and a push of the glass opened the one lone window, allowing Dolly to easily drop out of the room and down on the back alley. The sounds of happy people, sad people, and all around drunk people echoed from the nearby buildings, but Dolly just turned her back on it and started walking where her feet took her.

As she went, she sang, softly, like a lullaby of adventure.
~ It's a long road down the river deep 'n wild ♪♫

One foot in front of the other, Dolly's feet carried her toward the docks, guided by only the small lights of the port as the larger light of sky and the small town cast her shadow toward her own heading.
~ Every twist and turn a wonder-dale

The docks looked as ominous as they did turning the day, so Dolly did let her own instincts drive her to the side, toward where she had came from into town. Into this small pretentious town full of small pretentious people.
~ It's a scary ride we'd give anything to take

It was a wonder, at least to Dolly, that her ship was still here. It was dark, damp and cold, not much unlike the feeling she got back in town. Dolly pushed the ship toward the water until it barely touched the waves coming up. At that moment she stopped.
~ Let yourself bleed

Wondering for a moment, looking back at the town, then to the moonlit sea. She rose her foot and looked at her footprint in the sand. Tracking them back to town with her eyes.

Dolly sat down, hit the sword still in it's package into the sand. While kneeling in front of it, she whispered to the blade. "Am I truly just enough to decide for these people?", after which she turned around and rested her back against it, closing her eyes after she stared up at the sky with only the stars showing, with the moon behind her and the lights of the town with their sounds echoing even to the shore. Dolly caught a sea breeze full of air and sang until she fell asleep.

The next day, through out all that commotion, Dolly returned to that same inn, coming in from the door while patting the dirt off of her clothes, she smiled a pretentious smile to the barkeep as the bar silenced of their talk about the last nights events... If only she knew.

As Dolly returned to the inn, a slightly familiar face was there as well. The woman in the trench coat quickly walked past her, probably completely unnoticed, and slipped a note into her hands before disappearing into the crowd just as fast as she had appeared.

Meet me at the abandoned building down the street. There will be a crowd gathered around the front, so come to the back entrance. Knock twice, pause, then knock twice again.

Once Dolly arrived at the back entrance and did the proper knock, the same man in the trench coat that had initially been stalking her, N, opened the door. He still eyed here with suspicion, still not sure if she could be trusted. But he didn't dare decline an order from a superior."Come with me." He then closed the door behind her and led her to the main room near the front where there were a few men tying off what looked like giant brown trash bags. They were then carried off through the back entrance without a word to Dolly. L was standing near a pool of blood in the middle of the room and looked up at N, giving him a nod before turning her attention to Dolly. N went ahead and followed the men with the trash bag things.

"So, in case you can't tell, a fight broke out here last night," she began to explain. "But that's not what's important. What is is the agressors, the same people I wanted you to track down and defeat. Now, you're not going to meet the mayor (this situation has put us in a position where it would be unwise to do so) but I can still give you all the details that you'll need. Or rather, all the ones that you'll need and we have..."

L turned her back and walked towards a front window, looking out at the crowd gathered outside, the only thing stopping them is their force of fighters who normally were able to take out the guys who would do stuff like this in the first place. But these guys were different. They were subtle, deadly and, worst of all, un-trackable. "I'm not going to lie to you; you might die if you aren't capable. But the only way we'll get a chance is if someone from the outside handles things, someone who they would think would be against the village, perhaps because the village seems to be against them. Someone..." She turned to face Dolly once more. "like you."

Lead by the nose, following not only the steps of this person for once going in front of Dolly rather than trailing her footprints, but also the smell of blood and betrayal.

Familiar face in the dark of an empty room, nothing but black walls and a red puddle while grey words came out of a blue body. Dolly's hand swept some of the blood, she sniffed it and took a taste, feeling the texture with her fingers and richness of the blood with her tongue.

Listening, not really closely but close enough, Dolly looked around, estimated the distance of splatters and size of the pools of blood with the locations and sizes of the body prints, prints that were still left after the bodies were gone.

There was a lot of talk about these people and the possibility of strength of the others. Small things Dolly didn't care for, but she still remained quiet until L had finished her own rant.

Dolly then turned around, took her giftwrapped sword and felt it's weight in her arms as she tossed it from the left to the right and back. "I'm fine with that.. I only want to correct one thing you're wrong about though.."

Dolly took a long breath before turning away from L and looked around the warehouse again. "This wasn't a fight.. It ws a massacre." Dolly flipped her weapon back to lay against her large back, holding from the red thread that holds together that white package as she looks at the structures of the warehouse. "I'd like to get a map of all the adbandoned buildings of this island.. If possible. I don't care about the size, every warehouse, hen-house, doghouse and outhouse that you know of."

The hunt begins.

"Done. N." She snapped her fingers as the other detective like man had just walked back into the room. He turned to face her with a look as if he was recognizing her authority but not enough to stand at attention. "You heard her: abandoned building map. Chop chop." N took one last look at Dolly, again as if he was trying to tell her something through it. Probably just a reminder that he was watching her and whatnot, but in the grand scheme of things, he probably wouldn't need to do it: there would always be someone else watching, and though Dolly could probably assume so, she'd never know for sure. Couldn't prevent it either, no matter what she might try to reason (or threaten).

L continued as N proceeded to leave the scene once more; "Not gonna lie, we've already done checks like this. But who knows, maybe you'll actually turn something up..." She turned away again as she seemed to trail off. She rubbed her finger along the top of a dresser, collecting dust and then looking at it as if she was looking for something. Whatever it is, she probably didn't find it because she just proceeded to rub it off before turning back.

"The guys responsible are not just a problem for us: they're a trouble for the entire Archipelago and other surrounding islands. We don't know much about them personally, only that there are most likely two of them. We have no idea how strong they are; even an event like this can't truly capture someone's power. Sometimes there's luck involved, or a flaw in a plan. It could be that this was all a setup and these people were supposed to die easily; maybe there was outside involvement. Whatever the case, even though you shouldn't under any circumstance underestimate them, don't overestimate them either. If you're not careful, they can use that to their advantage..."

N came back with proper documentation in hand. If anything could be said about him, it's that he could move quickly and efficiently throughout the entire town, which he knew like the back of his hand. Perhaps he didn't do the best job at following people or making himself unnoticeable, but that was something that could always be improved. Anyways, he handed Dolly the map she requested. The actual town itself appeared to be larger than just a town, but it wasn't quite big enough to be considered a city yet. The town was mostly divided into two sections: the commercial (west)and residential (east) areas. The commercial area, where they currently were, contained most of the bars, inns, restaurants and other things and had more abandoned buildings than the residential area, which had mostly houses for people who lived in the town as well as the place the government stayed/worked. The two sections didn't have a clear divider though; they blended in with each other around the middle. In total, the map revealed that there were 8-9 abandoned buildings throughout the town, about 7 evenly spread throughout the commercial area and one or two in the residential area. There were also various buildings shown on the outskirts of the town, built by people who wanted to get away, and most of them were abandoned. But where the duo was hiding, if anywhere even close to the town, was a mystery....
