The Overly Extravagant and Oddly Exorbitant Reopening of the Skysino Strip

“Wealth, fame, power. The man who had acquired everything in this world, the Pirate King, Gold Roger! He may have left it all in that one place, but he found it all in Skysino! Perhaps you should try your hand.” - Claudius Periwinkle

Despite how unrenowned you may be, or how infamous you may be, you seemed to have gotten an invitation to a rather amazing and once in a life time event. It’s been a long time in the making, but after suffering a severe case of total financial and social collapse, Skysino is ready to open the pearly gates once more with a triumphant return.

Skysino itself is a glimmering and gorgeous city in the sky. The night skyline is a breathtaking display designed created by the crème de crème of the arcatecual scene, with all sorts of fantastic and implausible designs circling around a wastefully extravagant and massive fountain. Fireworks light the sky, and the air is filled with the fumes of celebration. The city’s world famous strip is alive with marquees promising entertainment of the highest value, each casino offering even grander games, more beautiful music, and the better food and drink than the previous one. Essentially, you’ve accepted an invitation into Heaven.

Sadly, as alive as the strip may be, it seems as if just about everyone in the world got the invitation and you're an unlucky last minute accepter. So, you were only able to get a reservation to the Snake Eyes casino. As nice as that may sound, it just so happens to be the most third rate and despised casino on the strip. It all went down hill since it was inherited by the horribly unlucky Cosmo Periwinkle.

The outside of the Casino was promising, presenting a luxurious if not satanic experience. The inside, however, is hopeless dreary and depressing. Fun is going be difficult, seeing as nobody’s a winner at Snake Eyes.

Rules

As for rules, there aren’t many rules aside from the standard (PG: 13/Pegi ) conduct.

But as for thread specific rule…

Mainly your character will be treated as if they have a theoretical numblerless stat spread, which should be roughly based around your current stat weighs, with fortune acting as skill. Everyone is roughly at the same level due to high altitude or something, meaning that someone with a stat of 8 and an average of 8, is the same as someone with a stat of 130 and an average of 130. However if someone has a stat of 12 and an average of 8, and someone has a stat of 70 and an average of 130 that person with the 12 would be better in that theoretical stat than the person with 70.

Seen?

Character defining abilities are intact. So enjoy your devil fruits, haki, inventions, and the like. However techniques themselves are irrelevant, and won’t be strictly enforced.

Pool party tag system is best applied here.

Have fun~<3

Extravance at its finest, the Skysino strip was home to the most of unfortunate of people and ironically the same place where the luckiest were made. Gou had received an invitation to one of the many casino's that were on the strip and he came under the notion that where there was gambling there would be villains. He examined the outside of the casino and smiled, "It's big enough."

The boy walked in and quickly dropped his smile, it was rather hard to keep it with the dreary apparel and the people who stood in front of their slot machines with frowns, they performed the same mundane actions repetetively, the word zombie came to mind. Already Gou was sure that this was the doing of an evil soul.

The people were depressed, but continued to grasp at their last duckets and spend it on another shot at getting back the college tuition they had spemt on chips. Gou couldn't fall for such ploys as he lacked a college education or a tuition to throw away. He leaned his head over the shoulder of a woman who sat on a stool staring at three reels that she was doing her best to align. "Who did this to you!?" Gou's voice raised over the sounds of machines, and card dealers, it even towered over the people screaming in anguish at the last of their currency being lost to a casino where no one won.

The woman jumped from her seat in shock, but had still pulled the lever to stop the reel. The spinning slowed until the reels on either side showed a picture of a lemon and a jolly roger in the middle. The woman screamed at the top of her lungs and pelted the boy with her bag. "I saved you miss, you're no longer under the villains spell." The woman shouted frantically for someone to help her, for the security to come and detain the maniac; all the while the woman continued to slam her heavy pocket book into boy's body.

Gou ran as he noted two large men headed his way, he was sure they were thugs who worked for the villain and perhaps getting the woman off of the machine may not have broken the spell. He rushed through the lane toward the exit where yet another large man stood to block it. He slowed himself down just enough to turn right before he got to the man, but the two guards behind him were only a few steps behind him.
