The previous day had been spent like every other day had been since Noctis and Feyris arrived on the island, waiting at the harbor for the Diablos-not brothers to show up on the Basso Locco, their ship. Unfortunately, no such ship arrived at the harbor. They had been on the island for a week now, and since they(Feyris, really) were tired of waiting, they decided to buy a ship to exit the island. The only problem was that Feyris' beli was virtuously useless. As it would turn out, oddly, the only thing worth any money were items of color. The only items of color that the two had were clothing or very important items that neither wanted to part with. The only option they had left was to find some work and raise funds to get off of the island. 'They' meant Noctis, who had been hired by a man for a job doing 'private security'. The employer, Gregory, was a bit odd, but money is money, or colorful items are colorful items. Noctis left his room at the inn and walked to the room right next to his, which was room 306 and the room that Feyris was staying in. He was decked out in all white clothing that Feyris had purchased for him from an old man named Ultramarine when they had first arrived. The old man warned them that their colored outfits might be stolen while they were still wearing them. Luckily, the man accepted beli and they were able to purchase clothing and tubes of paint without trading anything besides money. Feyris had cooped herself up in her room. She didn't really want to do anything since the town was so bland and white. Noctis just assume that the town depressed her. He knocked on the door a few times. When she didn't answer right away, he called out to her. "I know you're in there! Open the door!" A loud, angry groan was heard from behind the door. Right after, the doorknob turned and the door opened. On the inside of the room was the pink haired scientist. Her face was as irritated as her hair was frizzled. Feyris rubbed her sleepy eyes and stared up at the man who woke her up. "This is why I cut your hair, you bastard! If you don't want to be bald, then you better not wake me up like this again!" she yelled as she slammed the door in his face and went back to her bed. Noctis turned around and started heading for the stairs. He really didn't want to anger her and bring her threat into reality. The scholar touched the back of his head and sighed. He'd miss the look of having his hair spike up in the back, but he figured that getting it cut may have been the symbol of a new start. "Hey Noctis! How's that security job going?" Sandy, the inn's manager greeted and asked. The woman was plump and round, like a snowman, but with all three of the round sections combined into one. The top of her head was covered in pristine white hair, which she said was a result of being caught in the color washing rain. She was nice enough to strike up a deal with Feyris and let them stay at two third's price for the entirety of their stay. "It's alright so far. I've been paid in a blue t-shirt, a Dwayne Walker poster and Santamas wrapping paper so far..." Noctis scratched his head, he wasn't really sure what the items total worth were. "Sounds like a good haul for two days of work. You'll be off the island in no time at this rate!" "Not that I'd want to leave!" Noctis joked. The two shared a laugh and then the pirate excused himself to go off to his security gig. Noctis wasn't really worried about what he was protecting, he just wanted the payments so he could accumulate The small boat that Noctis had arrived on the island on had broken down and was in a state beyond repair. Since the boat had painted wooden parts, he figured that he break them off and use them for bartering. When he walked into the general store, he was greeted by the shopkeeper, Ley Yoo. "Well if it isn't my favorite tourist with colored wood!" Noctis smiled at the sentence. Ley Yoo didn't know the hilarity of what he was saying, so Noctis just played along. "Ah! There's the man who likes taking my colored wood!" it took him a few visits, but the scholar learned the gist of how much wood he needed to buy what. He only really ever purchased drinks, which were two pieces of colored wood and brownies with pieces of crunchy chocolate drops, which were three pieces of wood. He bought one of each, coughing up four pieces of wood and then wished the shopkeeper a good day as he left the store. Gesso Island sort of reminded the man of his home island, Candy Island. The islanders coveting colored items were like the children(and some adults) of Candy Island and their sweets addiction. But no one was addicted to sugar enough to form a gang and rob people of their sweets. "I guess things are just a bit harder and hostile out here in the Grand Line." A large group was up ahead, Noctis figured it was probably his employer's group getting ready to do whatever it was that they were doing. Noctis' place was at the back, the one that guarded the front lines was a friend of Gregory, who also participated in whatever was going on, so he started walking around the corner opposite of the group to where he was needed. He hoped that the other person was there so he'd have someone to chat with. They were becoming quite familiar and Noctis hoped that he had found a friend. "Noctis!" A feminine voice called out as he rounded the corner to the back where he was stationed. Sitting in a plastic chair and waving to the man, was a woman with long, brown hair and wearing a white gi with an orange-colored sash. She stood up and walked over to Noctis, greeting him with a handshake. "Hey Makoto! Still wearing that orange sash? That thing's gonna get snipped one of these days. Or worse." "Not before someone tries to plucks those red eyes right out of their sockets." The two laughed and then sat down to prepare for the day ahead. Edited by AngelMayLaugh, Mar 5 2012, 07:43 AM.

"Boss is coming, look sharp Noct!" Makoto exclaimed and nudged Noctis as their boss entered the room. The scholar nearly dropped his brownie when she pushed him with her super-strong elbow, but he managed to regain his composure in time to save his chocolaty treat from falling to the ground. He quickly placed the cake on the table and turned around to face his boss, Gregory. "Hey guys, how are you two liking your job so far?" "A lot." "It's great!" Gregory laughed. "Hey, hey! Please loosen up a bit. I'm not a marine drill sergeant or anything. No need to be so tense around me," he said, aiming his words at the pirate. Noctis had only ever worked for his dad, so he had no idea how he should have acted around his employers, though Gregory seemed to be a really lax guy. Gregory was pretty young, he couldn't have been more than five years above Noctis in age. He spoke in a pretty relaxed manner, but he was pretty well-spoken. Noctis assumed that he was a student or was fresh out of school. Most of the other people Noctis had seen Gregory with gave him the same impression. He was a few inches shorter than Noctis and a lot less tough looking. Not only was his speech relaxed, his entire look was relaxed. He wore a t-shirt and a short sleeved jacket with loose fitting jeans. Everything he wore was white, of course. His eyes were a pale blue, his hair a light shade of brown and he had the facial hair of someone going through puberty. "I'm not sure what's going to happen today, but I don't think it'll be as peaceful as the last two. Come to the front if you have any questions." Someone called him as he finished up speaking to the two guards and he quickly excused himself. As he watched the man walk away, Noctis let out a breath that he had been holding in since Gregory started talking. "He's right, Noct. Loosen up a bit!" Makoto laughed as she slapped the man's back. "Yeah, yeah. But I haven't lived here as long as you and I don't know anyone that well. Not to mention the fact that I have never worked for anyone besides my dad." Noctis returned to his brownie to finish it up. It was quite delicious and something that made his job doing nothing even sweeter. "So, Makoto," he started. He wiped his mouth clean of chocolate debris before continuing on with what he had to ask the woman. She was in the middle of doing her daily squats, which she practiced while sitting around. It was more constructive than Noctis just eating brownies all day. "Yeah?" she asked as she rose from finishing her tenth squat. "You've lived here for quite a while. So I assume you know what's going on out there, right?" "Nope. Not the slightest clue." The woman scratched her head. "Well actually... it's something about numbers... maybe percents? I don't know, I stick to my martial arts training and mind my own business. I've only lived here for two years out of my twenty-two years of life. No use learning about the politics of an island I'm not gonna be on forever." Noctis nodded as he looked over to where the sound of loud voices were coming from. "Hmm..." The young man downed his grape juice and turned his attention to a book that was on the table in front of him. He was nearly done, so he figured he'd finish reading it before he got too distracted by what was going on elsewhere. "Whew!" Makoto pushed herself up from the ground and stretched her arms upwards. "One hundred pushups again? Impressive." Noctis closed his book and applauded the woman, who bowed. The two both heard footsteps and immediately turned their attention to the opening of the area that they occupied. "Gregory wants you two," said a girl with short black hair. She left as quickly as she had arrived. "I guess you'll finally get your answer about what they're doing out there, eh?" Noctis placed his book on the table and stood up. "Hopefully." The two walked over to the group of people to get to Gregory. After reaching the large group, they decided to take their time as they waded through to look at all of the signs and listen to what the people were chanting. 'Give it back!' 'We're fed up!' 'The ninety-nine is fighting back!' 'Colors!' The signs that they were holding up pretty much matched what was being said out of their mouths. "I'm still pretty confused, Makoto!" Noctis yelled to his partner, who was only a foot or two away from him, but she could barely hear him over the yelling of the crowd. "Me too!" she yelled back, as they emerged from the crowd to see three people at the forefront of the group. Those three people were Gregory, Micheal and Christina, the latter two being the ones who helped former form whatever this movement was that they were doing. "Confused about what?" Gregory asked the pirate as he spotted him emerging from the crowd of young people. "Oh, I mean- 'this'. I'm not sure what's going on here." Makoto nodded, confirming that she barely understood too. "Well... As you know, this island runs on a color-based economy. Most trades on this island are based on the color or colors of the items. But... there are a few people here, they are the 'richest' people on the island. They take make up only one percent of the island's population, but they hold ninety-nine percent of the color. That's just not right. At least in our eyes. We want them to spread the wealth around, at least a little. There may be some other reasons, but that's our main objective." "I see," Noctis said as he scratched his head. He kinda wanted to know the other reasons, but what he had told by Gregory satisfied him for the time being. "Did you want something from us?" Makoto asked as she readjusted her orange sash that fastened her gi. Gregory scratched his chin as he tried to recall what he wanted him to do. "Yes! I know you two were hired as guards, but I need you to go and pick up my loudspeaker from Bob the mechanic. The walls of the town hall are pretty thick, so we need to boost our voices." Gregory pointed to the white building with multiple pillars that seemed to be holding the arched roof. "Neither of us three coordinating this whole thing can leave, and since I'm actually paying you two, I trust you'll do the job without any hiccups." Gregory handed Makoto a knife sheath, which was colored a light green and sealed close at the top by nylon. The two headed off from the center of town and to Bob's shop to retrieve the megaphone. |

On their way to Bob the mechanic, the pair encountered a small crowd of people doing what crowds did best: crowding. The crowd wasn't in their path or anything, the small group were a few meters off to the right. Something very colorful was in the center of everything. Makoto wanted to see what everyone was looking at, but Noctis urged her to continue onto the shop. Makoto looked down at the knife sheath in her hand and pouted. "Ugh, I guess..." She placed the sheath in her gi's left pocket and looked back at the crowd one last time. Gasps and laughs were coming from the crowd as the two walked off which caused the girl to sigh. Noctis patted her on the back. "We'll stop back here. They don't look like they're going anywhere," he said to cheer her up. He didn't want to end up being the bad guy in all of this. "HA HA HA HA HA~!" A loud, obnoxious laugh coursed through the air as they moved further and further away. The laugh followed them for a few dozen steps until they finally shook it. Cerulean Street. Just like the rest of the island, all of the buildings were nearly identical on this street, so the subtle differences had to be identified to differentiate the buildings. "All of these places look the same. How the hell do you people find your way around day after day? I had to memorize the exact path just to get to the town square from my inn." The brown haired girl just shrugged. "You get used to it, I guess. You're leaving soon anyways, not like it'll bother you for too long." "I guess you're right about that. I just hope I'll be getting off of this white rock soon." The two walked down the street until they hit a white building with a sign hanging over the door in the shape of various tools. "Here we are!" Makoto exclaimed as she opened the door and went inside. Noctis silently followed in behind her. The inside of the store was vastly different from the outside. The counter, the shelves, the floor and the walls were all made from a brown colored wood. If this was any other island, it's probably be the 'cheap stuff,' but on this island it felt like a refreshing change of scenery for Noctis, who had been seeing the color white since he woke up. The shelves were stocked with both 'colored' and white variants of many tools. The colored versions were obviously going to be more expensive. "Howdy! How can I help you two today?" a man in a orange-brown apron greeted as the walked in. Beneath the apron, he was wearing a white t-shirt and white jeans. His face was pretty manly, it had some beard scruff and a few scars. The two walked up to the counter and Makoto pulled out the light green sheath that she was given and placed it onto the. "Whoa, that looks pretty expensive. You two looking for tools to start building your house or something?" Noctis and Makoto looked at one another and then started laughing uncontrollably. "No, no, no!" "Us two? No way." "Yeah, we're here because Gregory sent us. He had a loudspeaker that needed some fixing." Bob looked upward for a few seconds and then a light bulb seemed to switch on. "Oh! My sincerest apologies! I have his megaphone in the back, excuse me for a moment while I go to get it." Bob disappeared into the back room for a few seconds and then emerged back out with a white megaphone in hand. He placed the item in a white bag. "I'm sorry for jumping to such a conclusion. You two make a pretty cute couple. If you aren't related or something, you should think about it." The man winked at Noctis suggestively as he handed him the white paper bag with the megaphone inside. Noctis just nodded as he took the bag and followed Makoto to exit the store. "Tell Gregory I said thanks for the business he's given me!" Back on the white streets of Turpintown, they were nearing the area that they had passed with the small crowd of people viewing some sort of spectacle. Applause broke out as the crowd came into view. "See? They're still-" Makoto ran over to the crowd like a child full of curiosity and pushed her way to the front. In the middle of the small crowd, there was a small person with a big, colorful dress decorated with various colorful accessories, a shiny, golden half-mask covering their face and an assortment of feathers in their hair. The person seemed like a peacock with a golden mask. "Noctis! Get over here! There's a rich person performing an act!" Noctis reluctantly pushed through to the center until he was looking at the showoff face-to-face. There was an awkward air of silence between tem untl Noctis finally spoke up. "So... You're doing an act or something?" The rainbow peacock person stamped their feet and then pointed their finger angrily at Noctis. "Don't you have a job you should be doing, you fool!? Who are you to come and tell the great Bla-blah! I mean... I am the greatest masked hero of all time! Mask the Rainbow Money! Get out of my sight, you insolent fool! Go and get yourself some color, you look pretty pale there, kid." Mask the Rainbow Money smiled and eveyone in the crowd, save for Makoto and Noctis began to laugh. Noctis raised an eyebrow as he backed up away from 'Mask the Rainbow Money'. Something about the person's voice seemed familiar, but he couldn't think straight with all of the laughter in his ears. "Let's go back to the town square to get this megaphone to Gregory." "Yeah..." The scholar knew he wouldn't shake the thought of this Rainbow Money person for a while. He'd probably just try to figure out who she was for the rest of the day. As Noctis and Makoto walked away, they could hear Mask the Rainbow Money mocking the pirate. "Red eyes?! What is he, a Uchiha Snake? Or was it Uchiha Hawk? Whatever, he's so~oo weird, right? HA HA HA HA HA~!" There was that obnoxious laugh again. Noctis was sure he had heard a laugh just like it or very similar to it somewhere before. When getting back to Gregory, instead of wading through the crowd like they had previously, they decided to just walk around and approach from the front. In front of Gregory, there was a very short man in a sun-bright yellow suit and red top hat, staring up at Noctis' employer angrily. The closer the pair got to Gregory and the short man, the more clear it became that the two were having an argument. "I-I think that's the John Von Coloron!" "Who?" Noctis asked as he scratched his head in confusion. "John Von Coloron! He's only the most colorful man on Gesso!" "Ah, so you mean rich." "You'll get what's coming to you and your little 'Occupy Movement' or whatever it is you call this gathering of hobos!" "Hobos... Man, that takes me back." "I've hired top men to come here and clean you all out! Just wait 'til they get here tonight!" John Von Coloron spat on the ground right next to Gregory before storming off, stomping along the ground with his small, angry legs. Noctis handed Gregory the bag with his loudspeaker in it. "Thank you, thank you so much!" The man pulled the white megaphone from the bag and inspected it. "Bob did a fine job on this!" Makoto finished admiring John Von Coloron's clothing and then turned her attention to Gregory. "Hey, boss, what was all that about with Von Coloron?" "Well, he's one of the one percent that I told you about earlier. Him and a few others have too much control over our colored economy. He's the one most against it. He just refuses to give up or share any of his color. Luckily, our talks with the others have been going quite well." Gregory put the microphone back into the bag. "Anyways, Noctis your payment for the day is in you guys' area. Yours too Makoto, but I'd like you to stay for the night. As you probably heard, he just threatened to send his hired men to deal with us, but I'm pretty sure they won't be a match for both you and Micheal. Sorry Noctis, but I don't have the funds to employ you for overtime a the moment." Overtime didn't mean that much for Noctis. He was just happy that he was getting paid his regular salary of colored items. Noctis and Makoto both headed back to their station at the back of the crowd and tents to, finish in one case and prepare in the other, for the incoming evening. |

A blue scarf was his payment for the day. Makoto, on the other hand, received a multicolored oar. "I think he has a crush on you, Makoto. He wants you to stay late to 'guard', and he gives you the better payments. Someone is going to be sitting in a tree soon~" Noctis joked as he gathered up his things and placed them into his bag. Makoto blushed and turned away from him. "No... I'm sure it isn't like that at all. He's just more friendly to me because I've been here longer, that's all..." she said as she tied her hair up in a ponytail with a white rubber band. Somehow, the girl exuded a tougher aura with her hair tied up like that. Her brown eyes seemed more fierce with no air near them. "You look pretty tough now. I'd hate to be the guy that has to take you on. Unless it's Gregory," Noctis said as he looked at the girl tighten the orange sash around her waist. The two wished each other a good night and went their separate ways. The sun was ready to set and Noctis was on his way back to the room at inn he was staying in. He couldn't wait to tell Feyris about Mask the Rainbow Money and how arrogant and rude that person had been. But as soon as he started thinking about that person again, he felt the urge to confront the person. Instead of taking his usual route home, he decided to go back to see if that show-off was still out. There was still an orange hue to light up the white town, so it wouldn't be too dangerous for that person to be out at such a time. On his way back to that little spot, he got lost a few times. Without Makoto guiding him, he was like a colorblind dog trying to navigate through colored streets. It wasn't long until he saw a few dozen people all leaving the same general area. "Man, that Mask the Rainbow Money is so rich!" "Talented too!" Two people said in conversation as they walked past Noctis. He disregarded what they said. He knew that that Mask the Rainbow Money jerk was a hack. As the pirate got closer to the scene of his earlier verbal defeat, he spotted a small cluster of colors heading down the street. "That's her!" Noctis exclaimed as he upped his stride to try and get closer to the target. He decided to just follow the jerk for now, and he'd sleep on whether or not he confronted her the next day. "Maybe Feyris could help me decide if I should go ahead and give this Mask the Rainbow Money a piece of my mind." Tailing the colorful shit-talker brought him close to an unexpected place. "Huh? She's staying in the same place as me? That's... unexpected." One of Mask the Rainbow Money's various accessories detached and fell from her dress. She hadn't noticed it for a few steps but turned around to pick it up when a man walking up to her alerted her of it. Noctis quickly ducked behind a corner when he saw the snob turn around to pick up the accessory. When he peered back around the corner, he saw the same man who had alerted her about her accessory falling off grab the girl and pick her up. "What the fuck?" Another man came up behind her with a white sack and opened it for the man who was holding the girl to dump her in. The one who held the sack open quickly tied it and swung the bag over his back. Both men ran off into a direction that Noctis was unfamiliar with, but he decided to follow them anyways. Mask the Rainbow Money may have been a jerk, but she certainly didn't deserve to be kidnapped like that. "I thought he said snippers were the worst. I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the old guy giving me the explanation." Noctis silently chased them through the white streets until they started taking alleyways. He was sure that hey had no idea that he was pursuing them, so he concluded that it must have been some kind of shortcut that they were taking. After jumping a series of fences and narrowly avoiding waking up a few white dogs, the chase brought Noctis to the edge of a forest. Either it was a forest or an oddly coincidental placement of white leaves on white branches and tree trunks. He waded through the white greenery as he kept the kidnappers in his sights. "Where are they?" "I dunno." "They said to meat them at this spot." The two men talked to each other about someone that they were apparently supposed to meet. They dropped the bag down and Mask the Rainbow Money was putting up an intense struggle to free herself from the tied sack. Noctis thought about rushing in to free the girl from the sack and take out the two men, but he figured that he'd wait to figure out exactly what he would be up against if he had to fight their comrades. "Shh! I think I hear them coming!" The sun was pretty much set now, so things were pretty much white and black around him. Torches started coming into view in the distance. A group of men in masks started approaching. It seemed to be three groups of five men approaching, with one man at the forefront. The two men who had snatched Mask the Rainbow Money bowed as the relatively large group approached. "Ah!" The man, who seemed to be the leader of the group, approached as the rest of the group followed but stayed about a few feet behind him. "I see you have brought a present for us!" the man said as he turned around and paced forward. he quickly turned around and held the torch that he carried close to his face, which was covered by a rainbow colored mask. "But! This gift must be extremely colorful for you to be initiated into our ranks." The man pulled out a knife with his free hand and then handed the torch to one of the kidnappers. "Brothers! Let us see what gift these two who want to join our ranks have brought us!" The man picked up the sack and cut through the very tip, opening it up and sending Mask the Rainbow Money rolling out. "What a colorful little girl you are!" Mask the Rainbow Money looked terrified and confused about what was happening. "Who the hell are you people!? Why did you kidnap me!? Are you rapists?! Because I'm actually a dude, I promise! Don't-don't-don't..." she crawled backwards to try to get away, but it was obvious that her slow crawling would get her nowhere. The leader reached down and pulled off the girl's golden mask. "You are one very feminine boy!" Mask the Money turned around to crawl faster, but her leg was grabbed by the leader. The flame of the nearby torches illuminated the area and showed Noctis exactly who was beneath the mask. "Feyris?!" Noctis called out as he saw her face being light by the bright orange light. "Noctis?!" mask the Rainbow Money called back. "Who the fuck is that?" The leader asked as he let go of Feyris' leg and threw the torch into the bushes near Noctis to flush him out. "Dammit! Why is she always a target for kidnappings?" Noctis asked himself as he leaped from the bushes and landed right in front of the eighteen men torches. Edited by AngelMayLaugh, Mar 5 2012, 08:42 PM.

Noctis found himself face-to-face(plus seventeen other faces) with a group of torch wielding, mask-wearing men with Feyris directly in between. "Who the fuck are you?" The leader asked the pirate who was kneeling before him. Noctis stood up and dusted himself off. "I'm uh..." the young man paused to think up a name. He figured that they would try to come after him and Feyris soon anyways, and telling them his name would only quicken their search. Noctis looked at the girl and a crappy name popped into his head. "Mask... Mask the R-... Mask the Red Eyes Money..." Noctis pointed his finger ferociously at the leader of the group. "That's my little sister! Mask the Rainbow Money! If you harm her, none of you will leave here with your lives in tact!" The group all pulled out various weapons; bats knives and other weapons that delinquents would use. "You sure about that? No one makes threats against the KKK and lives to tell about it! Right boys?!" the leader said as he turned around and threw his arms up to get his henchmen riled up. The men all raised their torches and weapons up and shouted out. The leader turned to the two hopefuls that had kidnapped Feyris to gain entrance. "Are you two ready for your first official Kolor Kidnapping Klan mission!?" "Yes sir! Blue Bob sir!" "Help us take down this fool who thinks that he can stand up to the KKK and keep his vocal chords to tell about it!" Blue Bob turned around and pointed in Noctis' direction. "Get hi-what?" In the direction that Blue Bob was pointing, there was nothing but empty space and white shrubbery. "Where the hell did he go?!" Assuming he retreated into the white bushes, they only looked in front of themselves. Behind the group, Noctis was running with the colorful Feyris cradled in his arms. "Why didn't you take them out with your shockwave punch thing?! You could have taken them all out in an instant!" Noctis looked down at her, wondering why he was still carrying her in his arms. "They looked pretty weak. I didn't want to risk killing them or anything." "But they were about to rape me or something! Or kill me! They deserved to have chaos and destruction brought down upon them! Let me down! I'll go back and do it myself!!" Ignoring her request, or command rather, to be let down, Noctis kept on running. "There he is! He got behind us!" One of the KKK members yelled out as they spotted Noctis running away. "Chase them!" The gang of masked men started their pursuit of the two 'mask the money' siblings. Feyris finally closed her yap after she realized Noctis wasn't never gonna let her down(or give her up to the masked men), he was running, but he wasn't just going to desert her and let her fight eighteen men alone. The torches weren't really gaining on him, but he figured it would be best to take shelter somewhere. Somewhere like the caves that that were coming into view up ahead. No one mentioned the caves to him, so he figured it would be a safe place to hide and shake them. "Boss! Should we go in there after them? They're going into the Colourless Catacombs!" "So what!? We're going to chase them down and take every last bit of color they have on them! Those insects are over-sized softies anyways! There hasn't been any attacks in years!" Blue Bob yelled as he went charging after the two runners. With their minds made up for them, the group followed their boss. Noctis put the girl down once they entered the cave ans started walking in slowly. It was pretty dark inside, but the 'whiteness' of the caves gave partial visibility. Feyris clung to Noctis' arm. "I can hear weird ticking sounds and hissing coming from deep in the cave." "We can go back to the torch wielding men if you want... But I don't really hear anything." The pink haired girl immediately turned around and started walking in the opposite direction until Noctis grabbed her arm and pulled her deeper into the cave. "What are you doing?! Trying to drag me into the cave!? I knew you were a pervert! let me gooooooooo!" "No! I'm just not going to let you go and get yourself taken by a bunch of hoodlums!" "THEN GO AND BEAT THEM UP, YOU IDIOT!" "I already told you-" "Whatever, let's just go into the damn cave." "I heard the loudmouth girl yelling! They're close!" Hearing the voices of the mob gaining on them, they ran deeper into the cave. "If we keep running deeper, won't we just eventually come to a dead end and be trapped in here? You'll have to use force eventually, so just do it now and get it over with!" Noctis had to admit that he girl had a point, but he was adamant that he could find a way out of the cave without harming any members of the mod. He couldn't kill them and he didn't want to harm them to much(he wasn't sure whether he'd be able to hold back enough), because he'd just have them down his back for the rest of his stay on the island, so escaping and maybe hoping that they'd forget about the whole thing was an option he favored. As they got deeper, the ticking and hissing sounds became even more clear. "I hear those sounds you were talking about. I think that-" Noctis walked into a wall. "Shit," he said as he rubbed his face. Not only was there a dead end in his way, he could hear the sounds of Blue Bob and company getting closer. "They're close! I heard'em!" A torch came flying in and landed right in front of Noctis, lighting up a small area in front of him. "Noctis I-" "Yeah I see them," "No, I-" "I told you you wouldn't get away! No one escapes from the KKK! Especially the members under my watch!" Noctis readied his fists for a fight. It was no helping it if they were threatening him or Feyris. He had to just do enough damage to put them down and escape. Noctis backed up a bit and told Feyris to hang on to him. He was going to launch an attack and run as quickly as possible. As soon as he started pulling his arm back to launch his attack, a dark figure started floating down. It circled the fire on the ground for a few seconds until it began circling the fires of the men holding the torches of the group. "What the hell is that?" Noctis asked Feyris, who was just as confused as he was. "It looks like... a moth?" The oversized moth fluttered around the flames and above the mobs heads as they tried to shoo it away with the torches. Not too soon afterwards, more moths fluttered down from the ceiling, attracted to the fires that were being waved like lighters at a concert. "They're harmless! Get the guy and the little girl and stop fucking around with the oversized insects!" Blue Bob grabbed a few torches from his men and tossed them at the moths, hitting a few of them and setting their wings on fire. The moths were sent into a frenzy, flying erratically all over the place. "See? Let's just focus on taking out the- where the fuck did they go!?" Once again, Noctis grabbed the small girl an ran straight through the group of men. This time, he was heading back the way he had came. "It took a moth to do a man's job. How pathetic." Feyris threw a whole sack of insults his way, but Noctis just focused on running from the oversized moths. "Is anything behind us?" the pirate asked as he tried to retrace his exact footsteps. Feyris peered out behind Noctis but noticed that no one was behind them. "No... but I think I hear something close." Noctis kept that in mind as he continued running forward. "AAAAAHHHHH!" The yells of someone being attacked by a flaming moth echoed through the caverns and into Feyris' ears. "Run faster! Do that instant run thingy! hurry and get us out of here, you fool!" Using that technique made Noctis feel wobbly in his legs, and he really disliked doing it back to back, as it made him a bit dizzy. Up ahead of Noctis was a single path that forked into two. Noctis happened to be running along one of the two. The path that he wasn't running on was sort of a shortcut from where he had just come from. If he had taken that path, he would have been out of the cave. "Ksssssssssssssss~" "Motherfuckingshit!" From the other path, a giant, flaming moth made the sound that moths make, but with the added addition of cackling fire burning on it's wings. It tried to swoop at Noctis, who was having none of that shit. He didn't care one bit about how his legs felt, he bolted the fuck out of there like a frightened cat. He kicked off of the ground around one hundred times in the span of thirty seconds to get out of that cave. As soon as the two were a few dozen meters from the caves and back on the white grass, Noctis collapsed and dropped Feyris on the grass. The girl stoop up and looked down at the pirate. "Good job, Lab Member *Zero Zero One(* = 001)! You used the coward's method, but you got me to safety. If it were me, I would have punched the moth in the face and then set the whole cave on fire. Giant bugs can't deal with the amount of destruction and chaos that I am capable of." Noctis moaned as he listened to her go on and on about how he was a coward. "Ugh, just shut up and help me walk back to the inn. I can't feel my legs." Feyris shot him a look of disgust. "I'm half your weight and almost two feet shorter than you. Be a man and walk by yourself." The girl coldly walked off into the white shrubbery and out of sight, leaving Noctis there lying with his face in the white grass. After about thirty minutes, the man regained feeling in his legs and was able to walk off himself. But for that entire time, none of the KKK members emerged from the cave. |

Noctis' legs made a full recovery after a night's rest. Like the previous morning, he woke up, washed his face and brushed his teeth and then got dressed. Again, like the previous day, he knocked on the door of his companion, Skyla Feyris. This day, she didn't groan or moan, she immediately opened the door after the wood was knocked upon. "Feyris! Good morning!" The girl yawned as she looked at him. "Have a nice walk last night, zero zero one?" Noctis smiled and walked into her room. The girl shut the door and followed Noctis to the table in the room where they went to sit. "Aren't you going to serve me breakfast or something? I did save your life last night." Feyris laughed and then laughed some more. "Cowards go to work on an empty stomach. If that's all you had to say, then get out." Noctis got up and scratched his head as he headed towards and through the door. "Oh yeah! Don't go out today! I don't want those men comin-" The door slammed shut in his face before he could finish what he had to say. With that out of the way, he went straight to work, forgoing his usual convenience store stop. On the way there, he made sure to constantly watch his back. He didn't want any KKK members sneaking up on him. He could defend himself just fine, but he was more worried about them than himself. Luckily for him, he did not encounter anyone that recognized him from the previous night. "Phew~ I'm glad that none of them came to get revenge on us..." The possibility of them not getting out at all then hit him. Was it technically his fault if they were killed and/or eaten by the giant moths? "They were bad guys anyway, I shouldn't ponder on it for too long... As long as I didn't do it, it should be alright." Luckily enough, Makoto was waiting for them at their usual quarters. It wasn't so lucky that she was waiting, it was what she was waiting with that had the man in high spirits. She was sitting at their table with two, very juicy and succulent-looking sandwiches. Noctis' mouth started watering as he approached. "H-Hey Makoto! How's it going? What happened last night?" he asked as he took a seat next to the sandwich. "Don't even pretend to not want it. I got that for you- ...anyways..." As soon as Noctis heard the y sound in 'you', he reached for the breakfast sandwich and tore into it with his teeth. "But yeah, John Von Coloron sent a bunch of his goons to attack us. Michael and I ripped through them like sheets of paper." "Ow dass gruet! Gred choo guish wern't ort.(Oh that's great! Glad you guys weren't hurt.)" Noctis said with a mouth full of egg, cheese, and sausage. Makoto decided to eat along with the scholar before continuing on with her story. "So was John Von Coloron angry after you defeated those guys?" Noctis licked the cheese off of his fingers and then wiped himself down with a napkin. "No. He actually wasn't there. I think he just hired a bunch of rookie pirates to fight us or something. They were too unorganized and trashy in appearance to have been a organized group. I just hope it wasn't a diversion and he'll come blasting canons at us today or something." "Maybe he gave up after seeing how strong you are? He probably figured that the cost of taking you down wasn't worth it." Makoto stood up and walked over to her usual spot to exercise. "I don't know... The guy is pretty damn rich," she said as she went into her first squat. The day had went about the same as any other. Nothing too eventful happened. When their shifts were over, Gregory asked them if they could get in earlier than usual for the next day. Both agreed to do it and then left. The pair examined their payments they walked through the streets. "An orange jump rope... This island's economy is too weird for me." Makoto held up a rainbow sweater in Noctis' face. "Orange is my favorite color! Trade me!" The scholar took the trade, assuming that the more colors an item had the more it was worth. The two eventually went their separate ways, with Noctis returning to the end to eat dinner with Skyla. "So? You saw them fighting last night with those test pirates. Do you think you can take them?" John Von Coloron, who was sitting in a a huge, yellow chair with it's back to the window, asked a man who was obscured by a the sow being cast by the wall next to the window. "I haven't seen the black haired one fight... The one who was with the girl in the gi... But if he's as weak as the other two then it'll be way too easy... I think I'll have a bit of fun cutting all three of them down tomorrow..." John Von Coloron laughed and leaned back in his chair. "Yamikura Koori, the Battle Maniac! Ha! I guess that name fits. If you love fighting so much, then why don't you do it for free?" "Everyone needs money... Most people need a hobby... I just happen to solve both those needs with fighting for profit. There's no job that involves fighting or hunting pirates that I won't take." "So about payment..." Yamikura Koori stabbed his sword into John Von Coloron's orange, oak desk. "I don't accept colors, shades or tones. Beli only." Edited by AngelMayLaugh, Mar 9 2012, 01:50 AM.

"Good morning Noctis! Off to work again today? You're going to wind up staying her on this island if you aren't careful!" Sandy said with a laugh. "I'd love to stay here. It's quite a... an interesting place so far. And that's not even including the wonderful economy that you guys have here." Noctis decided not to wake Feyris before he left out of fear. He assumed that she had enough common sense to not leave the inn. On his way to work, he stopped by the convenience store. "Hey! I didn't see you yesterday! Thought something was wrong. Almost sent out search party for you!" Noctis grabbed his usual items and took them to the counter to be 'rung up'. "Yeah, I was preoccupied and stuff. I was late and needed to get to work on time." The pirate opened his juice and downed it immediately after. "I'll make sure that I'm here tomorrow morning." "WOW! Why didn't you tell me that had happened yesterday?!" "Well, I thought that there'd might be a chance that I would encounter them, but I haven't. I didn't want you to get involved too." Noctis had informed Makoto of his encounter with the KKK and the giant moths in the Colourless Catacombs and his 'cowardly' escape. "Haha! Every time you tell me about your Skyla, I can't help but laugh. She seems like a handful." The scholar sighed. "She is. Honestly, she's two handfuls. But I was the one who saved her life, so I'm stuck with her until i can get her home. She's convinced that it was me who was saved from her 'chaos and destruction' though." Makoto took another opportunity to laugh at the pirate's expense. At around thirty minutes before their workday was over, Gregory randomly appeared before the two with Sandy from the inn. "Sandy? Gregory? What's going on?" Sandy seemed to be out of breath, as if she had ran from the inn all the way to Noctis. "Your girlfriend... *huff* ... she's not in her... *puff*" "Noctis, just leave early and find out what's wrong with your girlfriend. I won't penalize you over a measly thirty minutes." Noctis stood up and gathered his things as quickly as he could. Once Sandy had recovered her breath, they took off to the inn. Sandy had to take a rest, but Noctis kept running until he arrived at Feyris' door. He kicked the door in and ran into the room like a concerned father. "Feyris!" At the center of town hall's roof, there stood a man clad in a mostly black outfit. He wore an unbuttoned, long, black jacket that stopped slightly above the back of his knees, a button down white shirt beneath the the jacket(both the jacket and the shirt were rolled down to the middle of his forearms), black leather gloves covered his hands, black pants, with a white belt going through the belt loops, and sneakers covered his lower half. In his hands, being gripped by his black gloves, were two guardless katana, about three and a half feet in length each. The sheaths of his katana were plugged into his belt loops and were mosly obscured by his jacket. Each katana was pure black throughout and the black blades were glistening in the orange hue of the setting sun. Hanging around his neck was a black bandanna that was folded into a triangular shape. The man's hair spiked to the side, creating somewhat of a slope on one side of his head, the rest of his hair spiked down in extremely straight bangs. The man tightened his gloves and then lowered his blades to his sides as he slowly walked forwards, towards the edge of the roof. He looked down at all of the members of the occupy movement. His cold, pitch black eyes ultimately locked onto the large-in-stature Micheal, Gregory's most trusted protector, a leader of the movement and the man who happened to be one of the three hits. The man grabbed the bandanna around his neck with his finger and pulled it upwards to cover his nose along with the bottom half of his face. "I'm only contracted for those three... No killing, only crippling beyond repair." He gripped the handles of his blades even tighter than he had been. The excitement of fighting had started surging through his veins. He memorized where his target was standing. He took a few steps back and then started running forward and took a leaping jump off of the roof of town hall with his blades held above his head. "What the hell is wring with you! I'm trying too eat!" Noctis had a look of great confusion on his face as he stood there with the door laying down on the floor next to him. The girl was there in the room, safe and sound and not missing. "You- Sandy- but... what?" Feyris raised an eyebrow. "So are you going to tell me why you interrupted my peaceful meal and kicked down that door? I'm not paying for that. You better work overtime or something. Are you even trying to get us off of the island? Seriously. You're a pirate, I don't see why you just don't steal a boat. You poor people are so weird. Speaking of poor people, aren't you supposed to be at your 'job' protecting some poor, whiny, homeless bastards? Or were they colorless? I hope you don't get any of their stench on you and bring it back to me." Noctis just sighed in relief as he took in the insults and put-downs. Minutes later, Sandy had finally run into the room to see the picture of Noctis sitting at a small table with Feyris. "Oh Skyla! You're okay!" Sandy exclaimed as she gasped for air. Feyris quickly picked up a cup of juice and tossed it's contents onto Noctis. "I told you not to tell anyone my real name!" The drenched scholar wiped his face clean of the juice with a napkin. "It- it was just after Noctis asked me to keep an eye on you and to make sure that you didn't go anywhere and I saw that you weren't in your room when I brought your dinner up to you." Noctis found his face drenched with even more juice after the innkeeper said that. "You had an eye kept on me?! Do you think I'm four?" The man had nothing he could say to get himself out of a verbal lashing, so he decided it would probably just be best to go back to his own room before a verbal lashing was dished out. As soon as he got up, he felt a flaming dagger penetrate his neck. "And where the hell do you think you're going!? You kicked do my door! I'm not sleeping in a goddamn room with a broken door! Do I look like some homeless piece of shit that will just sleep anywhere? We're switching rooms!" The pink haired scientist took the innkeeper and claimed the pirate's room as her new territory. Noctis flopped down on her bed and laid down. "It's finally quiet, jeez," he said as he laid his head against the pillow. He knew better than to sleep though. Feyris would just be back in a few minutes to bombard him with more complaints, insults and any other thing she could use to verbally assault him. "NOCTIS!" A familiar, very angry voice boomed into the room. "What?!" Noctis immediately sat up and looked at the door. What he saw was definitely not what he had been expecting. "This guy is bleeding all over the place, asking for you and stuff. He was banging on my door like he was crazy! I think he even got blood on me. He's lucky I didn't set him ablaze. Actually... I might. Let me go find my dials." Feyris went off and left a bleeding Gregory in front of the door. Noctis rushed to the door and helped Gregory into a chair. The man had a stab wound on his lower left abdomen and blood was leaking out like a faucet. "What the fuck happened? Should I take you to a doctor or something?!" "N-N-no... Your innkeeper... she said... sh-she'll send someone up right away. More importantly..." Gregory coughed up a bit of blood as he tried to get out what he had to say. "Swordsman... Micheal... Makoto..." Gregory coughed up more blood. "Townhall... hurry!" Noctis was a bit confused, but he didn't have time to ask for clarification. He ran straight out of the room and past Feyris, who was walking out of Noctis' old room with something in her hands. "She's definitely okay! There isn't anyone on this island who's stronger than her, I know it! She'll be fine! Don't worry Noctis!" Even though he tried to convince himself that his friend would be okay, he didn't slow down his pace one bit. |

"You're kind of strong, girl. Maybe I should stop toying with you before you get the wrong idea." The man in black rolled his neck around on his shoulders and then held up his twin blades. "Toying? You've been fighting your heart out, admit it." Makoto said with a smile. But there was an obvious difference in their appearances. Yamikura was virtually unscathed with very little dirt on his clothing. On the other hand, Makoto had various cuts in her tattered gi and blood stains soaking through. The most glaring wound was a deep cut on her cheek that was leaking profusely and leaking down onto her gi. "Fighting with my heart out? Okay. I'll fight you seriously from here on out. Honestly, I'll have to try harder to not kill you than to win." Makoto tightened her orange sash and then ran forward. She threw a straight jab that was agilely dodged. "You seem to be proud of that orange sash. I think I'll snip it." Yamikura said as he moved to the woman's back side. He slashed his swords in opposing directions, cutting through the sash like a pair of scissors. Makoto immediately jumped back and got into a fighting stance. "My sash!" she exclaimed, looking at her now-cut sash as if it were a dead pet. Yamikura sheathed his swords and then knelt down to pick up the sash. "I think you dropped something. Come get it back from me... If you think you can, that is." Tears started welling up in the her eyes as she looked at her "broken" orange sash in the hands of her enemy. "I-I... I'm going to fucking kill you!" Makoto clenched her fists and ran towards her adversary. She was going to put all of her power into her next punch to bring him down. Rain started pouring down on Noctis' head as he ran through the streets to get to the town hall. "Dammit, today is a rain day." The first time it had rained on the island, Noctis' hair almost turned completely white. A very long shower saved him from looking like one of those white haired, red eyed freaks. When he finally arrived at the town's center, Noctis found the place to be almost deserted. There were still tents and sleeping bags around, but he could feel that there was no one occupying them from the amount of silence. When he moved to the front, he saw Micheal lying on the ground and writhing around in what seemed to be extreme pain. Noctis ran over to him and knelt down. He didn't have to say anything to express his pain, there was a large, bloody, X-Shape slash across his abdomen that said everything. Noctis didn't see Makoto anywhere, so he ran to check nearby areas for her. She hadn't been in any of the places he thought she might be if she was fighting someone. The last place left to check was the area right behind the town hall building. Noctis didn't think she would be around there since the area was so small and not suitable for fighting, but he figured he'd check anyways, just to be sure. The white rain pitter-pattered as he searched around the back of the building. There didn't seem to be anyone around and no sounds of fighting. "Where the hell are you, Makoto? Somewhere winning, I hope." Noctis shielded his eyes from the rain above as he went to take cover from the rain beneath the building. he walked along and around the edge of the building until he was back in front of it. "I'll have to take this guy to see a doctor." "No. You'll need to take all three of you to a doctor." Noctis looked left to see two people. It was Makoto and a man that Noctis had never seen before. Makoto was behind him, being dragged along by her orange sash that was tied around her neck. "Here. You can have her." Yamikura tugged on the girl's sash and threw her towards Noctis. "That's who you've been scrambling around looking for, right?" The young man rushed to Makoto and quickly untied the sash that was wrapped tightly around her neck. He felt around for her pulse, and luckily, she was still alive. "Who are you?! Why did you attack them?" Yamikura, who had a bunch of white splotches on his black outfit, pulled the bandanna that covered his mouth down. "I'm Yamikura Koori, a bounty hunter and fighter for hire. Some people call me the Fighting Maniac. I've been hired John Coloron to cripple you three to send a message and bring this... 'movement' to an end. Who are you?" The scholar placed Makoto near Micheal and then stood up to face the Battle Maniac. "Noctis... Noctis Campesinos. THE MAN THAT'S GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS!" "Noctis Campesinos? That name sounds familiar-" Noctis ran forward and threw a straight jab at Yamikura's face. Yamikura was barely able to get his swords up to block the hit in time. Noctis immediately followed the punch that was blocked with a kick to the man's gut, sending him sliding backward across the wet, white ground. The man in black grimaced a bit, as he adjusted his hands to hold his swords in their proper positions. "That girl in the gi hit me there too. It hurt like hell. She's a bit stronger than she looks." Noctis wasted no time in braving those swords and going in for his next attack. He was able to score a punch to the face of his sword-wielding enemy while suffering a cut to the cheek. "You're faster than the others. I'll have to be serious- what?" Noctis disappeared from the bounty hunter's eyesight in an instant. "I've seen some marines use this something like this technique before... It's called... What was it again? Sora?" An Angry fist smashed into the bounty hunter' face from the right, sending him soaring into a nearby window. Yamikura pulled himself up and looked at at the family whose window he had just flown through. "Charge it to John Von Coloron," he said before jumping back out the window. Awaiting him, on the other side of that window, was an angry Noctis. His face was full of seriousness and focused solely on the Battle Maniac. Yamikura pulled a few class shards out of his arm and wiped away the blood dripping from his mouth. "I underestimated you, it seems. Time to get serious!" The bounty hunter dressed in black, with skin almost as pale as the white rain hunched over and held his swords out. His large black pupils started thinning out until they were almost cat-like. He dashes forward in a great showing with both swords raised above his head. Once he reached Noctis, he brought them both down diagonally across his chest. Noctis was pushed slightly backwards a few feet. Yamikura quickly jumped back after his twin strike and smirked. "It was an okay fight while it lasted. But no one can beat... Wait... What the fuck is on your chest? And how can you still be standing after taking that attack?" Noctis' abdomen was covered by a layer of sparkling diamonds. The pirate was virtually unshaped by the sword attack, as shown by his unchanged expression. "Oh. You're one of them? I should have noticed it before. It didn't feel like I was cutting flesh." Noctis' Techniques Yamikura

Yamikura and Noctis clashed in the white rain, in the center of the area that was filled with tents. Noctis, with his diamond arms, pushed back the swords of his adversary and then moved in for an additional punch, "Argh!" Yamikura grunted, sliding backwards on the wet ground. "That body of yours. What's it made of?" Noctis simply kicked his leg as fast as he could horizontally, creating a dazzling shockwave that left a trail of diamond dust in it's wake. The 'black' bounty hunter raised his swords at the last minute to stop the shockwave. "...!" The blue shockwave pushed him back into a wall before dispersing. Right when the shockwave dispersed, Noctis appeared, to deliver a diamond punch to Yamikura's gut, forcing the bounty hunter to cough up blood. The scholar wasn't finished just yet. He grabbed Yamikura by his oversized collars and tossed him a good few meters away and into another wall. The bounty hunter coughed up some more blood before rising to his feet. "...How the hell am I supposed to beat this guy?" Noctis was slowly approaching to unleash another attack. Weeks Earlier, On Some Island I Haven't Thought Up A Name For Yet Yamikura entered in through a door into a room filled with all sorts of weapons; swords, maces, guns, spears and anything else one could imagine. "Yamikura! You're back from your hunt, huh? What'd you pull in this time?" A man with as much black facial and head hair as a lion sat behind a counter. His eyes were as black as Yamikura's and he wore a dirty apron. Yamikura moved to the counter and smacked down a wad of cash in front of the man. "I think this should pay off the balance on the Twin Darkmoon Blades." Without counting, the man placed the money into his cash register. "It sure does. So what's going on with my favorite nephew?!" The man's vice was loud, but very warm and friendly. "I took out some crew that had just crossed Reverse Mountain. They didn't even have time to celebrate their arrival into the Grand Line." The man behind the counter laughed. "That's mah boy!" The black bounty hunter turned to exit the store. "Sorry, Uncle Yamikira, I got word of a new crew that just crossed Reverse Mountain. I'm going to have to go take them out so I can afford some new swords." "Yamikura! You know I'll let you have any sword that you want. No need to wait to pay me." "No, Uncle. I have to start paying my own way for things. No more handouts." Yamikura's Uncle sighed heavily. "At least take this before you go! As a gift, no payment." The man got up from his seat and ran to the wall behind him, grabbing a pristine, white blade. "You're going to come across a devil fruit user sometime. You're going to need-" "I've come across plenty of devil fruit users already. I've cut them all down so far." "But what happens when you meet an enemy you can't cut?" "..." Yamikura stood there silently for a while. "...You ... Dad... Grandmother... and me as well. We all trust in our blades. More than anything or anyone else in this world. I think that trust alone will allow me to cut through anything I believe I can cut." Without waiting for his uncle to respond to his statement, Yamikura exited the store. "No! No! I can cut him! There has to be a way..." The Battle Maniac jumped backwards to narrowly avoid another one of Noctis' blows. Yamikura quickly slashed both his swords with all of his might, creating a black, crescent-shaped shockwave soaring towards the pirate. Noctis layered his upper body in diamond and walked through the twin shockwaves as though they were a gentle breeze. The cut on the scholar's cheek gave the swordsman some hope. "I cut that cheek before! I can do it again! I just have to cut you before you get that uncuttable guard up!" Yamikura lunged forward and then thrust his black katana at the chest of the pirate. Anticipating this, the area aimed at was quickly covered in diamond by Noctis. The blade hit his chest and then ricocheted off. "GOT YOU!" While one blade was reeling backwards, the other blade was soaring towards a crimson red eye. looking to to impale it. At the very last second, Noctis covered his eye in diamond and took the sword's point. The blade pushed back his head and caused the man to stumble backwards, giving Yamikura an opening to capitalize on. The bounty hunter ran forward and shoulder checked the pirate onto the ground. Noctis used the momentum of falling to roll backwards and back onto his feet in a crouching position. Yamikura aimed for Noctis' neck with his dual slash, but the pirate's neck was diamonds. The pirate quickly pivoted his feet, and raised his arm in an uppercut motion. Before the bounty hunter could pull back, the bottom of his jaw was being being impacted by a strong, hard punch. The bounty hunter was sent soaring upwards about two meters and then hit the ground hard on his way back down. Noctis took off running and then leaped through the air towards his downed adversary. Midway through his air leap, he turned everything from his knees down into sparkly diamond. It was clear that he was intending to crush some part of the bounty hunter. Yamikura quickly rolled over and jumped back to avoid being crushed between the hard earth and the pirate's legs. Even though his target had rolled out of the way, Noctis still extended his legs and jammed his feet into the earth to show just how angry he was. His collision with the ground created a small crater, widening the eyes of the Battle Maniac. Noctis kicked another cutting shockwave at Yamikura, who jumped out of the way of it. The bounty hunter panted heavily as he stared down the one pirate he couldn't cut through. The Darkmoon Blades, which were colored the purest black earlier, were now almost pure white. Yamikura felt that his blade changing colors in the white rain was a sign to quit the fight. "I give up. For now. I'll be back to fight you another day. On that day, I will cut through you." Yamikura launched two black horizontal shockwaves at the pirate like he ad done earlier. Though, these were to remove the white discoloring from his swords and not to cut down Noctis, who just turned his body to diamond and shrugged off the attack. Right after launching his cutting shockwaves, the bounty hunter, now dressed in an all-white outfit thanks to the color washing rain, took off. Noctis waited for a short while before going to check on his Makoto, just to make sure that the bounty hunter was really gone. Even when he went, he kept a overly cautious eye on his surroundings. "I have to get these two to a doctor." Noctis Yamikura

Noctis was able to carry the two downed combatants back to the Inn and too the doctor that was currently treating Gregory for his stab wound. He called a few of his associates into the inn and they were all treated in a matter of a few hours. Luckily, none of their wounds were fatal, they'd all survive, though they would be off of their feet and 'occupying things for a long while. Makoto's wounds were the worst, she wouldn't be able to practice her martial arts for at least six months. Noctis let the doctors use Skyla's old room to do their work and he slept in Skyla's new room, though on the floor. Skyla wouldn't even let him sleep on the small couch because 'he wasn't fit enough to sleep on equal terms with the her'. There were several knocks on the door. The knocks didn't wake Noctis up, but it sure did wake Skyla. She got up from her bed and walked over to Noctis. She kicked him repeatedly until he woke up. "Answer the goddamn door, you peasant!" The scholar rubbed the back of his head where he was kicked and than gt up to answer the door. "As you wish, Your Majesty," he said sarcastically while opening up the door. On the other side of the door, there was one of the doctors that had been treating Makoto and the others. He had a wide smile on his face when he greeted Noctis. "More good news?" The doctor nodded and beckoned for Noctis to follow him to the room where all of the patients were. Before going inside of the room, the doctor stopped short and turned to Noctis. "Gregory is awake and he's coherent, so you can talk to him. His stab wound, like I told you before, wasn't anything serious. But his burn wounds, though minor, are all over his body. So he'll be in a bit of pain as he talks." Noctis raised an eyebrow. "Burn wounds?" He figured he knew who it was, so he didn't question the doctor on how those burns happened. With the doctor's okay he went in the room and greeted his employer. "Noctis! How nice of you to come and see me." Noctis slowly walked up to Gregory, he wasn't sure if he remember what Feyris had done to him. "Do you remember what happened after I left to find Makoto and Micheal?" Gregory shook his head. "I passed out right after you left." Noctis sighed in relief. "Thank goodness..." "Anyways, Noctis. I heard you were trying to build up funds to buy a boat. I'm not leaving the island anytime soon, so I'll give you mines for the time being." This was way too convenient, so Noctis raised a questioning eyebrow at this sudden generosity. "I'm sorry to ask, but is there some type of catch to this? No one just gives out boats like candy." Gregory shook his head again, though this time he grimaced in pain a bit. "The catch was saving the lives of my comrade and Makoto. The boat is yours. You need to get out of here and I don't have any other items that would be payment enough for what you've done. Please just take it without question." Noctis agreed reluctantly. "The doctors say that Makoto won't be awake for a few days or maybe longer, so there's no use in sticking around if you have to get going." The pirate nodded and his now former employer gave him the details. The Reading Rainbow. The ship was magnificent due to it's un-magnificence. The most remarkable quality of the ship was it's rainbow color, which was now nearly washed-out because of the white rain from the previous night. "I'm not riding on this piece of crap boat! Do you think someone of my stature would even dare to place one toe on this boat?" It took an hour for Noctis to talk her onto the boat, and even then she would only step onto it if there sheets and other substitute mats placed down for her to walk on when on the boat. There was no engine on the ship, so wind energy had to be relied on to get the ship moving. Once Skyla was finished complaining about every little thing, the Noctis raised the anchor and the boat slowly sailed off. "Do you feel that we should have waited around for Makoto to get better?" Feyris, who was sitting on a cloth which padded a chair which was on top of a towel, turned her head away in disgust. "Makoto? That sounds like the name of a peasant. And why do I care about people that you know or your feelings about them?" Noctis simply sighed and didn't ask the girl any more questions until he next day when he asked her what she wanted for breakfast. "By the way, let's skip the next island, I've been there before. I'd rather see the next one." Weeks Later, On Some Island I Still Haven't Thought Up A Name For Yet Yamikura walked back into his uncle's shop, much to his uncle's surprise. He walked to the center of the store and then fell to his knees and bent over in a bowing position. "Uncle... I came across someone that I couldn't cut with my swords. I barely damaged him at all. I'm sorry for not listening to your words and being arrogant." Yamikira chuckled when he saw his nephew on the floor grovelling. "I'll give you the sword, just get up and relax for a bit." Yamikura did as told and walked up to his uncle. "But I have a question for you. What are you going to do when your sword is knocked away and you can no longer cut an uncuttable devil fruit user? Will you just get pummeled like you did before or what?" "..." Yamikura stood there silently, looking down at his feet. He had no answers for his uncle. The big man with a lion-like mane laughed. "Clear up your schedule for a few months, Yamikira laughed. I have some things to teach you. Ha Ha Ha!" Edited by AngelMayLaugh, Mar 12 2012, 10:03 PM.

Sorry that I can't use the nice little template, computer was snagged away from me so I have to post this via phone. Anyway, despite this being a solo SL, you did a really nice job at drawing me into the story and characters, which surprised me. Well done. It was kind of strange going from your Ayemel SL to this one which features the much more calm Noctis. Anyway, doesn't change the fact that it's a solo SL and thus I am forced to give deductions. You actually did lose a couple SD since the SL only lasted 9 days though. 9 SD and 4,200,00 Noctis also received a black book with a yellow banana logo on the back cover. It's titled "How to Get People to Thank You". It doesn't really do anything but sit there and annoy you, but who knows, maybe you can someday actually get Feyris to say thank you for saving her ass...or not.
