Now I just saw the 9/11 topic, and was rather disappoint. I'm not going to rant on it, and just leave it at this:it was a little bit disrespectful, even though none was meant.

So here I'm going to make the real 9/11 topic. Please leave your internet attitude out of this topic, and just speak with respect.

Out of respect for those who fell on that tragic day let us share our story of how we learned, where we were, and other such details in regards to that day.

Personally I never lost anyone at all from this but I do remember being in the library during school and seeing on the tv the planes crashing into the buildings I didn't know what was going on exactly but I could tell it was really bad especially by how the teachers reacted when they saw another plane crash. I also remember seeing the faces of friends when they found out their parents or other family members were dead. So when people tell Americans to get over 9-11 or that it wasn't that big of a deal. It would be comparable to telling a Jewish person who hadn't been in Europe at the time 10 years after WWII to get over the holocaust and making a holocaust joke. It just isn't cool at all. While not all of us lost people we were all effected by it some way. I lost my sense of security as did most of my generation as we for the most part had never thought the United states would ever be attacked. And thats pretty much my statement on the issue.

^ What dark said. And you don't have to have lost someone to empathize for those who have.

I was in Kindergarten. The way our school ran K was you there was a morning class and an afternoon class, and, like my brother, I didn't want to get up early so I went to the afternoon class. It thus became my ritual to pull a chair from the kitchen table to look towards the tv and watch cartoons while eating cereal/lunch (depending on the time). Suddenly the screen changed (I don't know if my mom changed the channel or if it was an emergency broadcast). I couldn't understand what was happening and my mom told me to go and play with my toys, and later she told me I wouldn't have school that day, though she didn't say why.

It was only much later that I actually understood what happened. I don't have anybody related to me who died that day, but it still hurts as much. I've lived my entire life thinking the United States was the best in the world and that nobody could touch us. But as dark said, when I remember 9/11, that sense of security goes away in an instant.

I fell asleep in my second grade class. I was woken up by my best friend damien, he was like "Sam wake up you have to see this." I opened my eyes just in time to see the t.v broadcasting the towers falling down and I mumbled "I saw this movie already leave me alone." I went to five years of therapy that I'm still supposed to be in for being an unsympathetic asshole toward those who died on 9/11 and those who die in general, so I'm going to leave that subject alone. Anyway my aunts friend died.
