Kingdom Hearts Forsaken




Recently the Heartless have started to appear in the worlds more frequently, the reason is yet unknown why though. If things weren't bad enough, portals have been appearing in each world at random times and random locations that connect them to some of the other worlds. However, due to the lack of Keyblade users these portals cannot be destroyed and the Heartless are continuing to run reckless, some people have been able to defend their homes and towns but others have been ravaged of life. Until the source of this darkness has become apparent nothing can be done to save the worlds from destruction.




Kingdom Hearts Forsaken is a, now open, Kingdom Hearts roleplay featuring some unique systems, first off the Story system. The board will have a Story to shape the plot, so what happens can be up to you if you join a Story Event, be a part of the Story and make your mark. Secondly, there is the death system - yes, that's right your characters CAN die whether it be in a simple RP or during a Quest. There is Darkness out there just waiting to hunt down the Light.

At the moment the board is still in preparation mode and is hoping to be up and running in the next month, all help is appreciated and there is currently a staff hire so if you think you have what it takes then apply!

I'm bored. So I'm gonna criticize. Mainly with traits.

This can only be used ONCE per battle and only ONCE per week.


Ok, first of all, how exactly are you supposed to "unlock the darkness in your heart" and use it to make you stronger? Is darkness some supernatural force or is just "hurr durr i'm evil?" Also, what if the person was already, oh, I don't know, evil? Say they are already "succumbed" to the darkness. Then guess what? They can get free Stat boosts for no downside. Who would want this trait and be a good character? And even if a light character had this trait, whose to say they wont abuse it anyways and still not turn to the darkness? They can say the progression is really slow or that "the good in their hearts always prevails" or make up some other thing to keep them from becoming evil.


Stat traits could be overpowered quickly, especially with your trait gaining system and the fact that your capping idea revolves around to how much you add rather than how much you already have. You could also theoretically have two Legendary(stat) for the same stat, because nowhere do I see a statement that says you can't do that. Heck, the way it looks, you can only have a boost in one stat at a time when you could probably boost in multiples. Also, are you trying to say that, with evolution traits, exactly how many traits remain used up after evolving? Because if I'm going from a 1 trait and pay 2 traits for the evolved form, i immediately lose that first trait forever, or so it seems. So can I use it for something else now or what? Or do I just need to pay one trait to get the 2 trait and use the trait from the non-evolved trait in order to pay for the other trait needed for the 2 trait? Whichever way it goes, it's confusing to say the least; maybe as confusing as how I'm trying to explain its confusing.


Ok, with Element power user, you are saying that you spend the same amount of traits as black magic but are limited in your abilities. Seriously, what the heck? Sure, we can then get Element Proficiency and become stronger in that element, but then we get the confusion of the evolution traits again. Or, EP can be a completely seperate trait from EPU and it's just not clear at all. Though I will give EP one comliment: the fact that it gives you something to work with as far as applying it to the rp. Which, I might add, the other magic traits dont! You say I have control over fire, ice, and thunder now? Awesome, but where are the restrictions? Sure, there are techniques, but whose to say I can't freeform a firestorm or something? You never say in those traits exactly how it affects the rps and how techniques still limit your abilities. And (back to EP) to be honest, after glancing over your tech system, 1 Level upgrade for 4 traits is pretty troll.


I'm not even going to venture into summoning because, quite frankly, i dont feel like it. What I will mention, though, is this:

Forget the last sentence for a momeny, you're giving a person power over all these things through a summoning trait? Umm, what? Summoning the dead is one thing, draining the life from the dead (which is impossible) or near dead (instant kill since you could just say that the character was near death even if they werent) are completely different things. And all of this and more for 4 traits, something a starter could get :|

Give it all you've got! - X Trait Points
This trait allows one of the characters techniques to increase by 1 Level in battle for a certain duration, however the technique they choose to increase by 1 Level cannot be used again in the battle. The user also suffers for using a Technique that is beyond their current limit, and therefore they recieve -X*5 to all Stats per Post the Technique is Active.. X is determined by how many Trait Points you spend (max of 5). The technique will last for X Posts.


So let me get this straight. You are giving a bad upgrade (as said, 1 level isnt that much) no matter how many trait points are invested in this trait. At the same time, for ever post they use this ability, their stats will suffer a great decrease and cannot be regained (or so it seems) and the effect lasts for as many posts as are points in the trait. But let me ask you this question: Why would somebody invest in this trait if you can only use the technique boosted once yet you still get penalties for every post it lasts for regardless of whether you used the technique or not. I mean really, what the hell?




I would continue, but I have no time for it. And quite frankly, I've said enough.

Given we had that one KH board ourselves that was completely forgotten and buried because I was too busy. Quite frankly I don't have motivation for it right now either. Though this reminded me of it.

Someday, I'll make that happen. But not today.

Is your KH RP better than theirs? If not stop bashing if you can't do better. That's not a critique that's blatantly bashing in hopes that you'll get attention or laughs for it.

Get that sand out, bya. If you actually read what Ice said, you would have figured out that it was discontinued for the time being. So technically, it cant be better nor worse.
