As Sawyer and Leander parted ways from Maya and Ryoto, Ryoto’s palms started to become clammy and his legs trembled. It was extremely awkward being alone with Maya ever since the night before. He was told what he had done and although it didn’t sound like him, he couldn’t remember a thing. Ryoto nervously rubbed the back of his neck as they began to walk down the dirt covered path in the brush. It was hard to start a conversation with Maya, but luckily it seemed as though she had questions for him. “Well, I didn’t mean that we are going to LITERALLY attack a marine base.” Ryoto explained, “Not all the time at least. As revolutionaries we need to bring the fight to the marines. We wouldn’t be very good revolutionaries if we avoided all conflict with the enemy. If we really want to change the world, it does us no good to just sit around.” After finishing his explanation, the merchant could only hope that Maya understood what he meant and hopefully she was still on board with this revolutionary attitude of the crew.

So there’s something I need to talk to you about.” said the dino man to Maya. He rubbed his palms together as he tried to find words to say to her. “Well…I uhhhh….” Finally he blurted it out, “I’m sorry for the other night. I’m usually not like that at all and well, I hope I didn’t hurt you.” He avoided eye contact with Maya during the entire apology. It was too hard to look her straight in her eyes which were probably filled with hate towards Ryoto. “I hope you can forgive me. I promise I’m nowhere near the level of crazy Sawyer is.” The merchant continued walking down the path in silence as he wondered if Maya would even accept his apology.

As they advanced through the jungle, the path started to become more and more narrow. Eventually all signs of the path ceased to exist as the duo began traveling through jungle grass that went about up to their knees. Ryoto walked carefully through the grass. His eyes were fixated on each footstep so that he wasn’t stepping on any animals or falling into any hidden holes or anything of that sort. As he brought his head back up to make sure he wasn’t about to run into any tree, he saw a large worn building into the distance. Pointing his finger towards the building, he spoke out to Maya, “Is that a building there? Maybe we can find some supplies in there.

Then Tommy tries to think up a plan to defeat this guy and after a few seconds, thought of the perfect plan to knock him out which was to punch him in the back of the head. He then out maneuvers him by side stepping to the back of him and punches him right on the back of his head perfectly which then knocks him out for the rest of the bar brawl. "That took care of him, now who next?"

Damn Sawyer must really want to feed a T-Rex I guess hahaha. Leander couldn't help but think of exactly that as he was dragged through the forest by Sawyer, he could easily have resisted but denying Sawyer anything was like denying a puppy a hug and then kicking it. Sure it may sound hilarious at first but then your conscience activates putting you through a guilt trip. However Sawyer had ignored the bottle of rum that he had tossed to him. It was madness to allow such a fine drink to go to waste, he simply could not allow it. His had shooting off into the distance behind him he caught the beverage before it had a chance to hit the ground. Quickly his arm shot back the smokey trail that had held from his arm up to his wrist leading his hand back to home where he lifted the bottle once again to his lips.

Damn it was hot here. The farther they got into the island the hotter it seemed to get. Under all these clothes of course he wasn't helping matters but at least he looked good. Watching Sawyer chop his way through the forest with the improper scythe he wondered just how Sawyer planned on cutting their entire way through as that would take quite awhile given the instrument he was using. Another good question was where exactly did Sawyer think they were going? Leander highly doubted the tracking skills of Sawyer and doubted that they'd be anywhere near every finding one if he left this task up to the chef, any run in with one of the overgrown lizards if left to Sawyer's incapable hands would be purely by chance.

Luck however was on their side since as soon as he had decided he was going to stop Sawyer the duo had hit a clearing. Up ahead no further then five meters was what appeared to be a dinosaur nest, 7 velociraptor eggs neatly tucked inside. "Sawyer... do you know what this means? We can finally know what dinosaur chickens taste like!" It certainly wasn't the most logical thing to say but of course Leander having been drinking the entire time even given his tolerance was quite drunk this phase however would most certainly pass soon as the bottle of rum was near empty and his inebriation wouldn't hold out very long.

"Ssssssh be quite so the mama chicken doesn't hear us. Their vision is based on movement." He told Sawyer whispering loud enough that anyone nearby could hear. Bending down Leander stealthily attempted to walk over to the eggs, prying his arm from Sawyer's grasp. There was nothing stealthy at all however about his maneuvers they were in fact the opposite even. His attempts at stealth ended as he suddenly found himself standing in a hot pile of shit, his entire left leg up to the knee covered in it infact. "Awwwww damnit! and I liked these shoes and pants!"

One hand swiped back and forth, cutting down foliage of every variation; the other hand kept a tight hold of Leander. The past five minutes of hacking through the forest felt like an hour in the islands grueling heat. Nevertheless, Sawyer had no intention of stopping. He was on a mission and he wasn’t going to back down just because a few large carnivorous lizards were waiting around any corner. Yet as the birdman worked, he could feel his scythes blade growing duller with every branch he severed. At first he wished Leander would help him clear a path, but as Sawyer looked at the drunken mess that was being dragged through the muck behind him, he decided that it was probably for the best that his captain got some rest.

Finally after sweating buckets, the duo reached a clearing. “Yeah, we’re doing pretty good for an idiot and a drunk.” Sawyer replied to Leander as he took a seat on a large rock that sat nearby. Resting his scythe to the side, the chef was glad to get some rest. His arms were throbbing and a heat stricken pain was pulsating within his cranium.

“You say their vision is based on movement eh? Well they can’t track my movements if they can’t see me!” The dimwit suddenly blurted out. Rising from his makeshift seat, Sawyer ran over to where a small bush sprouted from the ground. Selecting numerous brightly red colored berries from the bush, the birdman crushed them up in his hand and smeared the results around his face. Then adding to the disguise, he plucked leaves and branches from the bush and stuck them in various spots around his body. Soon enough, the kid looked as if he was half tree.

“My camouflage is almost perfect.” Sawyer mentioned as he crept across the forest floor, looking for things to make him blend in better. “Great idea!” he then suddenly praised as he saw Leander stepping in a large pile of dung. “Not only will this add to my general earthiness, but it will also mask my humanly scent. I suggest you do the same.” The chef said as he dug his hands into the pile of dino-poo and began spreading it around his chest and arms. But then suddenly, he stopped rubbing the fecal matter across his torso. “Wait… if there are eggs, why isn’t the mother guarding them? Either these are dumpster babies or something happened to the mommy…”

Leander marveled at Sawyer's ingenious plan not only would they have trouble finding Sawyer but they'd also be so repulsed by him now they would never dare try to eat him. It was perfect. Of course he didn't have it in him to cover himself like Sawyer did, he didn't want to ruin his clothes and even in his drunken stupor he still had a sense of dignity about himself. "No. It smells reeeeeally bad. About the eggs though i'm not sure. I guess it should be coming back any minute unless like it got lost or eaten..." Suddenly as he was talking he realized the rum had finally caught up with him and now needed to be set free. Dancing around as though he were performing a Irish jig Leander found himself barely able to get his pants down in time while standing before a tree, a yellow trail of ammonia smelling liquid pouring out in a rapid torrent. It was such a relief really, he even let out a content sigh of bliss. It was the simple things in life that really mattered, like a great piss.

He'd been peeing now for a solid 15 seconds, his entire focus devoted on the sound of the gentle golden stream. His head was tilted back with his eyes closed, not a care in the world when to without his knowledge came a velociraptor approaching him from behind another from directly in front on the other side of the tree yet since his eyes were closed and his attention elsewhere he had no idea. Tensing, ready to spring the velociraptors let out a low sound that was a mixture between a growl and a screeching noise. Finally finished peeing and actually noticing the noise Leander opened his eyes looking straight forward to see the velociraptor in front of him having moved out from behind the tree.

"What the fuck!?!"
He yelled loudly stepping back away from the dinosaur infront of him. Both were no larger than 4 feet at the most. Leander had difficulty taking them seriously despite the fact that they had viciously clawed hands and feet as well as deadly sharp teeth. "Kahahaha well look at you guy aren't you the cutest thing ever? You're like a baby dinosaur aren't you? I think i'll keep you." With his incessant rambling the dinosaur duo made their move the one behind him springing to attack him from behind, leaping into the air where it would at this point land on his back to claw and bite him. Hopefully for his sake Sawyer was paying attention. He however at the time was stretching out his hand to pat the velociraptor who's mouth was open ready to chomp down. He was too drunk to realize the dinosaur was about to bite him when suddenly the velociraptor itself was bitten into before it had the opportunity to bite Leander.

Swooping down from out of nowhere a T-Rex came crashing through with it's large jaws scooping up the smaller dinosaur into it's mouth before shaking it violently. Within seconds the creature was dead, the T-Rex already swallowing it's meal whole before letting out a Jurassic roar that seemed to shake the very ground the revolutionary stood on. This was what they had come here for, this was their prize. This was going to be their new pet, Fluffy who would forever be their bestest best friend in the whole wide world ever. The T-Rex had to be the largest creature he'd ever seen in his entire life, he couldn't picture anything ever surpassing the greatness of such a monster as this. This was a monster meant for killing yet it was so damn adorable with it's green scaley skin.

“Leander!” Sawyer yelled out in a scolding tone. “By peeing all you’re doing is spreading the scent of human!” The chef shook his head in disappointment as he walked away from both his captain and the large pile of dung. Sometimes Sawyer really questioned who the smart one in the crew was. “I don’t know how you plan on making friends with any sort of dinosaur smelling like piss and liquor.” The birdman added as he made the final touches on his camouflage. This included placing a myriad of foliage in his hair and around his body.

Taking his place, the dimwit sat concealed in a bush, waiting for any of the gigantic lizards to pass by. With all of his camouflage, the dinosaurs would never see him coming. Leander on the other hand, was a lost cause. Sawyers only hope was that his captain would act as some sort of bait. “Leander. Act. More. Delicious!” The dimwit told his captain in an extremely hushed tone. The chef didn’t have to wait much longer before a small raptor jumped through the air just in his field of vision. “Surprise hug!” Sawyer called out as he leapt from the bush with immense speed, and wrapped the tiny dinosaur within his long arms.

As Sawyer fell to the ground, raptor still within his clutches, he suddenly heard a loud crunch. Pushing himself onto his knees, Sawyer took a moment to examine his new friend. Many of the raptors limbs were bent the wrong way, his chest appeared to be disfigured and a little blood trickled from his none breathing mouth. The impact of the fall had killed him. “Dammit! Why God? Why!?” The chef cried out as he sat atop his knees.

Then interrupting his mourning process, a giant tyrannosaurus suddenly dashed out from the bushes. “ohhhhh” Sawyer gawked in amazement as he rose to his feet, completely forgetting about the little friend he just crushed. So much so, that as Sawyer walked towards the T-rex, he literally stepped on the deceased raptor, disfiguring its chest even worse than before. “I got this.” The chef said as he placed his hand on Leander’s chest and stepped in front of him. Reaching into his pocket, the dimwit pulled out a large pile of bread crumbs and pocket lit. “Here little guy. Eat the food.” Sawyer said as he reached his breadcrumb full hand towards the dino.

Leander looked up at the giant reptile that towered over them, it's nose twitching as it sniffed the air. Sawyer coming from what seemed to be out of nowhere placed his hand on Leander's chest the poop smearing over the front of Leander's shirt. Disgusted by the fact that there was now poop over him, Leander brushed at his clothing knocking off large clumps of shit off of him with his hands. It was scary to think that with those shit covered hands Sawyer would be probably cooking their next meal. This made him question if he'd ever been food poisoned and if so how they had survived, though the diahrea he'd had a few times was now explained.

The chef it seemed wanted to take control of the situation, going to feed the creature. Leander couldn't help but wonder if this plan would backfire but things seemed to be going okay at least. The T-Rex looking at the both of them was utterly confused. This thing which smelled horrible held in it's hand something delicious. It was obviously alive though since the horrible smelling thing was moving. Perhaps it tasted good, the T-Rex wondered. Lifting it's mouth open wide as it bent it's head low to the ground so it could grab ahold of Sawyer's entire body, clamping it's mouth shut to trap the man inside. Luckily the dinosaur hadn't learned you have to chew your food or else Sawyer would have been in danger as the chef was trapped within the dark damp mouth of the creature, the wet sloopy tounge licking away to taste the prize it claimed. Suddenly realizing Sawyer didn't taste good at all the T-rex spat him back out like a lougie.

Seeing what had happened to his friend Leander ran over to Sawyer crouching down beside the idiot. "Nooooo! Sawyer! Are you alive? Speak to me! Can you breath? Mouth to mouth is soooo gaaaay!" Leander whined worried he'd have to revive the chef by that means if Sawyer was actually hurt. Turning back around Leander stared down the T-Rex which was busy wiping it's tounge against the tree to remove the taste of Sawyer and poop. "Hey you dumb lizard. I'm gonna kick you in the nuts! Respect ma authoratay!" Utterly confused by these two tiny humans The T-Rex tilted it's head watching them when suddenly Leander had disappeared from his vision, dashing between the dinosaurs legs in a blur. Leander spotting the testicles of the Tyranosaurus lifted his leg up quickly shooting out for a moderately strong high kick to the dinosaurs junk. Suddnely the T-Rex's eye's went wide at the immense pain as it toppled over onto it's side. "Oh yeah! We damaged it Sawyer. Now we can capture it!" He shouted off happily hoping Sawyer had come out of whatever had happened to him on his own.

“Yeah that’s it. That’s it…” Sawyer said in a nurturing voice as the giant lizard slowly inched closer to him. “Just eat the food. We are all friends here.” The birdman continued. “Smells good doesn’t it? Yummm.” He then said as he rubbed his stomach and as the T-Rex took hefty whiffs of the mountain of crumbs that sat in his hand. As his hand hung in the air, dangling in front of the dinosaur’s nose, the chef made sure to not make any sudden movements. “I’m trying not to scare him. Wildlife can be quite skittish.” Sawyer said as he looked over his shoulder to Leander.

Yet as the chef spun his head back forward to look at the T-Rex, his vision was draped with complete blackness. “Who turned off the lights?” The dimwit questioned. However, before he had the time to conceive some sort of explanation, something wall-like started to push him from behind until it pressed him against a wet spongy material. Sawyer could feel himself being lifted into the air and suddenly knew that he was within the dinosaurs mouth. But instead of fighting it, Sawyer just let his body fall limp as possible. He had a feeling that things were gonna end up right. Not to mention fighting would probably sway the beast to bite down on him.

Just as the birdman expected, he was suddenly spat out and landed comfortably on the ground in a slobbery shield of spit. “Another thing to add to pro’s of poopoo camouflage; deters consumers.” Sawyer joked as he rose to his feet and shook the slobber off him like a dog. “Did you actually think I was dead?” the chef asked as he picked some of the spit out of his ear. “Of course a dinosaur can’t kill me. I’m a bird. Birds evolved from dinosaurs. He was no match to my highly evolutionizeded brains.”

As Sawyer reached his hand towards a large leaf to use to wipe some of the dinospit off with, he suddenly noticed that the hand that once held the bread crumbs, was now empty. “Yes!” the dimwit yelled out in accomplishment as he pumped both his fists in the air. He ended up feeding the T-Rex by hand after all. Nonetheless, Leander still seemed to be interested by the gigantic monster. “Do what you want, but I already fed a T-Rex by hand. So my day’s been made and I’m gonna head back to the ship.” Sawyer said as he placed his hands within his damp pockets and began to stroll away.

You might want to read this

Leander smiled happily hugging the Sawyer tightly around the waist before the chef was able to leave, not at all worried about the dinosaur which was on it's side in pain. "Sawyer I never thought i'd ever get the chance to say this but you're a genius." He however was disappointed that Sawyer didn't want to help him with taking their new pet back home, a small child-like frown which would make even a puppy sad forming over his face. "You sure you don't want to help? I'll be it's dad and you can be the mom." It wasn't that he really need the help, he could easily take the dinosaur by himself but it didn't feel special if he did it alone.

The sound of a loud dragging noise drew his attention away from Sawyer to back around to where his T-Rex had been moments ago. Now there was a bare area reaching off a pretty good distance away from the duo the T-Rex slowly being drug away by it's tail, the hand of a giant man clutching to it tightly the other hand dragging what appeared to be a triceratops. The T-Rex had been completely knocked out it's eyes completely white showing that it was unconscious. The man dragging their new beloved pet away was heavy, obviously not working out much to the point where he'd developed a large gut had developed which hang over his brown loincloth, the only clothing he wore at all over his heavily tanned, hairy, and in general filthy body. It was quite obvious to Leander this was the appearance of what one would expect someone to be on a island from the past.

Walking up behind the man Leander tapped him on the back lightly "Hey you. Where are you taking my pet fluffy?"
The almost completely nude man turned around his short hair now that he looked Leander could see was filled with bugs. The man appeared baffled by the question completely, staring at Leander in silence his rotten toothered mouth hanging open causing the horrible breath to cover over Leander's face. Given his drunk state though it was near completely gone coupled with the horrible breath, Leander vomited up onto the ground his dinner from last night displayed over the man's feet though the giant 10 foot man didn't even seem to care.

"Me Bobo. Who you? This pet?" The caveman apparently named Bobo asked of Leander. Leander controlling his breathing tried to ignore the stench as best as he could while talking to the Bobo. For some reason he didn't feel like giving his name to the stupid, disgusting caveman it was almost as if he would consider the idiot. Thinking for a moment Leander quickly came up with a lie that he hoped would fool the idiot. "I'm nobody and yes that is Fluffy." Looking to the Triceratops then back to the T-Rex Leander asked the first question that popped into his mind. "So why are you taking these dinosaurs? Did you beat them with your barehands?"

Bobo smiled bright nodding, obviously glad someone had noticed his hard work. "Yes I beats em all good. But I no talk about it, master be angwy. Sowy bout Fuffy you can haves him back." Bobo said before releasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex's tail leaving it behind while Bobo carried on with dragging the triceratops off to where it was being taken. "Bye bye Nobody." Bobo called waving enthusiastically turning around for just that parting moment. After Bobo had left Leander raced back to Sawyer hoping he could find the chef quickly. He'd gotten a odd feeling about that conversation, especially the part about a master.

At first, Sawyer began to transverse his way through the path that he and Leander had made before, but then something his captain had said stopped him in his path. “I could be a mother….?” He muttered under his breath. The chef knew that this may be the only time he could ever be a mother. Mainly due to the fact that he was a man, but the chance still remained the same. And he wasn’t just going to let this chance fall through the cracks of his fingers. Turning around, Sawyer ran back to Leander as fast as he could. Unfortunately, by the time he got there the T-Rex was already missing, along with his captain.

Kneeling to the ground, the dimwit quickly noted the signs of something large being dragged away from the spot they had left the gigantic beast. Raising his head up, Sawyer looked down the man made trail to find Leander talking to rugged looking individual. The birdman was surprised to find that the man not only was dragging the T-Rex, but also a triceratops that looked as if it was beaten to death. Soon enough Leander returned, but Sawyer was still curious. “Uhm… You can deal with your pet or whatever. I wanna check what this guy is up to….” Sawyer said, his voice trailing away as he started to walk away from Leander.

Turning into his bird form, Sawyer took off into the air. Soaring through the wind, the birdman’s eyes scoped down and tracked the barbarian man from before. Studying the area, he noticed the man was heading to a large facility surrounded by a myriad of runes. Circling over the facility, the dimwit began to examine the place. The place looked like a medieval caste; large walls surrounding it but no real ceiling. Along with that, a large pile of seemingly unconscious dinosaurs were piled in the center. Making a U-turn, Sawyer fell through the sky until he returned to his captain’s side. “Leander, we better find the other two. I guess there’s more on this island than we thought, yo.”

The moment that the dinosaur man had mentioned that they were revolutionaries, the witch's curiosity was peaking. From the moment she had met them, she had assumed that they were pirates considering as they had told her it before she went on. Maya looked at him with an odd expression- she was curious to know whether there was a sudden change in affiliations or motives within the crew without her knowing it. Then again, she was the newest member to the crew so there was definitely a possibility that they weren't able to trust her with their motives yet. Giving Ryoto a strange expression, she opened her mouth to say "Wait--- did you just say revolutionaries? I could have sworn you guys told me you were pirates when I met you on Cactus Island!" she said with a curious tone to her voice. As she continued to walk along the path, she spoke once again. "Would you mind if I asked why you would go out of your trouble to attack the marines in the first place? I'm not particularly seeing your cause here," the witch spoke.

Confused and unsure of what to do, her mind became partially cluttered with thoughts. Within her heart, Maya knew that she wanted to live her dream as pirates, but now she was traveling with revolutionaries. Should I leave them...? No, that doesn't seem right. I've made a commitment to myself that I'd live my dream, and right now they're the best option I have.

Eventually, things between the witch and the dinosaur man became awkward. Within the very second she had heard the words "I need to talk to you about something," her heart began to race repeatedly as if adrenaline was quickly rushing through her veins. Oh no, I bet he's going to bring up the things from yesterday. I thought he would have forgotten about it, but I guess not! the witch worried. Soon came the apology straight out of Ryoto's mouth; though, it was surprisingly more easy to deal with than she had expected. "Haha, noo! I know you're not like that, so don't worry about it at all! I don't have any visible injuries from you or anybody else, so everything's all fine!" she said with a large smile on her face. Maya soon then giggled at his comment regarding Sawyer, which happened to have a lot of truth within it.

Walking along the narrow path, the witch became amazed at the sight she was seeing. There were countless types of birds that roamed the island, many of them standing on top the strong branches of the trees. There were also a plethora of different insects, wildlife and plants that covered the floors, and fortunately Maya hadn't come across any spiders for the time being. "Wow, this island is quite beautiful, isn't it? I wouldn't have expected islands on the sea level to be this brilliant; it's truly a gift to see such a sight!" the witch said with an amazed look within her eyes, almost as if they were glistening. Though if one thing was strange about the island thus far, it would be the path. All around the single path was grass, so it popped a question in to Maya's head- why wasn't the path surrounded by grass as well? For the witch, it was almost as if someone or multiple people had made this path for a more facile voyage.

Within moments of walking, her new companion had noticed something within the distance. Peering her head forward to see where his finger was pointing at, the witch was able to notice that a semi-large building stood valiantly within the distance, in the midst of the fields. The building itself had a medieval theme to it, rectangular at the bottom but slowly transitioned into different and abstract shapes as it got higher. If one were to look at the building from a horizontal perspective, one would be able to see the large horns that stuck out from either side, resembling a dinosaur's fang. Surrounding the building were odd and strange stone rocks, much different in colour in comparison to the dull boulders that lounged around the island. Looking at them closer, she was able to see that they had stuck out from the ground and had strange letters on them at some parts. "Wait, don't do anything too rash yet. I'm not getting the best feeling from that building right now. Something's telling me that it isn't quite the best place to find the supplies we need right now," Maya warned Ryoto.

Drifting forward, the witch crouched down behind a bush that separated them from the fields. She turned her head to face Ryoto and quickly motioned him to come forward and crouch down. "Give me a moment, I want to try something real quick," the witch voiced quietly. Closing her eyes, she focused her mind on the building, trying to use her new found abilities that she had awakened back on Cactus Island. With a quick scan of the area, she was unable to determine if there was any living humans there. "Hm, I can't seem to sense if anyone's there. Maybe I'm too far away to check; we should probably move in closer," she muttered under her breath. Unsure of what to do, she began making small interpretations about the area. One- humans definitely lived here; two- they would have to be quite strong to live in such an environment; and last but not least, three- the strange rocks were most likely a part of some ancient ruins of some sort.

"Do you think we should go find Sawyer and Leander first before going there?"

As the two drew closer to the strange building that was stuck curiously between two large rocks, Ryoto began to cool down from the cold air bubble that Maya had blown earlier. “I have to admit. When we first brought you on board, I thought your usefulness would go as far as navigating.” he said in a slightly surprised tone. He didn’t want to seem like a complete jerk for not thinking Maya had a lot to bring to the crew, he was mostly surprised at how perfectly she seemed to be fitting in. Yet, for some reason, the idea of being a revolutionary seemed to throw Maya off.

Well, ultimately it’s up to the captain whether we attack a marine base or not.” stated Ryoto as simply as he could. “Right now, we’re kind of like this.” Ryoto bent over and picked up a small acorn from the ground. As he palmed it in his hand, he turned his attention towards Maya. “You can basically consider us pirates right now. We are small and weak compared to the world; just like this acorn.” He gently kneeled down and place one hand on the firm soil. Clawing at it like a dog, he moved a couple inches of top soil to the side, forming a tiny hole. Taking the hand with the acorn, he gently dropped it in the hole and pushed the soil back over the top. “Just like this acorn, we need time to grow. One day we will be a mighty tree that will make the world a more beautiful place.” He was quickly caught off guard on how sidetracked he had gotten. “Erm, well we won’t be a tree, but you get the point. We simply don’t agree with the world government and we want to change the world for the better.

The young merchant continued his pace as they were now even closer to the large building. Following Maya’s lead, Ryoto swiftly ducked behind a bush and waited for Maya. “What are you doing?” questioned the obviously confused dinosaur. Such a strange behavior wasn’t exactly alien to the merchant, but he didn’t expect Maya to be part of the same crowd as Sawyer. “What the hell?” he thought to himself, “Does she think she is a fortune teller or something? This is going to be a long day.

As the witch listened to his words, a greater understanding of what the crew's desire was like was sent flying into her mind. Nodding her head, Maya agreed and showed the dinosaur man that she was grasping the concept of the crew. But, if there was one thing she didn't comprehend, it was the motive of the crew itself; she questioned herself as to why they would go to such extreme measures to go after them in the first place. "Acorns, huh? That's quite a beautiful analogy, but there's a few things that are missing. Acorns can't grow into beautiful trees without nutrients from the sun and water- and when you take it from a human perspective, those things can be labeled as inspiration and motivation," she said with a smile on her face. Patting the small spot that Ryoto had dug a hole into, she continued to speak once again. "If you don't mind me asking, what's your inspiration and motivation to keep pressing forward as revolutionaries?"

After the attempt to track any potential enemies, Maya was slightly surprised at Ryoto's question towards her. She had forgotten that only her and the man back on Cactus Island had the abilities she had, no one else was aware or could have possibly known what the witch was capable of doing. "I don't really want people to know about this, but since we're being open with each other right now, I might as well," Maya voiced with a small sigh at the end. Inhaling a great amount of air then exhaling it, she began to speak. "I'm not lying to you or anything when I say this, but I have a strange ability that I can do with my mind. As of the moment, I can read people's minds to a certain extent and determine a certain number of living creatures within an area as well as being able to track them," she confessed with with an awkward smile on her face. The witch had hoped that he wouldn't think of her any less than he did, or treat her worse because of what she had said.

Looking forward at the building, the witch had noticed something she hadn't heard before. Coming from within the building were sounds that oddly resembled machines from industries; from that moment forward, Maya was instantly able to deduct that people were within there. "Wait--- do you hear that? It's like a machine is running, or many of them in fact. We better get Leander and Sawyer before we do anything rash," she said worriedly. Unsure of where to find them, she began walking towards the right, pressing her feet against small grass. Unfortunately it wasn't as convenient as the path they had walked on before, but it would do for now. In Maya's mind, she had wanted to avoid that building as much as possible- there was something about it that didn't feel right to her.

Ryoto smiled and nodded in agreement to Maya’s simile. Yet, just as she finished the beautiful comparison, she began to question the dinosaur man’s every intention on being a revolutionary. With a soft tone and confusion in his heart, he tried to explain to Maya, “Karma, justice, vendettas, and so on. Everyone in this crew has their own reason for fighting in this revolution.“ He inhaled deeply as he lifted himself up from behind the bush and the duo continued to walk towards the large building. “What’s my personal reason? Well, without getting into a long story, let’s just say that I suffer from the overly common anguish of dead parent and lost children syndrome.

He went silent as extremely detailed flashes from his past began to plague his mind. After several moments of awkward silence, Ryoto snapped out of it just in time to hear Maya’s explanation of her supposed ‘powers’. “Oh, well that’s cool.” said the young merchant as he looked skeptically at the girl. It’s true that there are weirder things in this world than being able to read someone’s mind, but she had already tried to demonstrate her powers and failed miserably. More than likely Maya was just suffering some head trauma from the wild night before.

Following closely behind Maya, the two drew in towards the building. The sound of machinery could be heard from a distance and its origins were most likely the building. “Alright, I’ll see if I can contact them.” he said while reaching towards the pocket in his shorts. As he pulled his hand free from his pocket, he held a small compact den den mushi firmly in his palm. Pointing the den den’s face towards his, he spoke clearly into it. “Leander. Sawyer. We have found a building over here. We aren’t sure if there are any people in it, however we do hear some sort of machinery running. Get over here as fast as you can. We will wait for you as long as we can.” Right as he finished speaking into the den den mushi, a loud eruption was heard in the distance. Ryoto turned his head towards the noise to see a large plume of smoke and lava explode from the largest mountain on the island.

Upon hearing the reasons for the crew's motivation to become revolutionaries, Maya was able to get a better grasp of the concept. It was interesting for her to learn about others' perspectives on wanting to travel across the sea with a purpose; though, with time, she would learn about everyone's motives to travel. Looking at Ryoto with a sincere expression, the witch was shocked to hear about the death of his mother. It had thrown her off a little as she wasn't quite expecting it- in a way, she could feel sympathetic for him as she never had parents while growing up. The most surprising part of his statement was the fact that he had children, which was quite surprising considering someone of his look and age. "I'm sorry to hear that... Well, if you never need someone to talk to, I'm always here for you. Alright?" Maya voiced sorrily. She hadn't known him that well, so there wasn't much that the witch would be able to do or say to him.

Soon after the witch had confessed to Ryoto about her strange abilities, he had simply just replied with four words. For some apparent reason, that threw Maya off slightly as she was expecting a different reaction, preferably one that was either curious about her or shocked. Quickly using her abilities to sense the emotions of the male, the witch was able to detect that he didn't quite believe her. Looks like I've just got to find a good opportunity to show him then, he most likely thinks that I've gotten on the same level as Sawyer! she thought to herself with with a worried expression on the inside. There were definitely people on the sea level that were unique and different, but it appeared as though she was unable to come across someone who had the same abilities as she did. Hope was born within her from that moment- she would surely prove Ryoto her powers one day.

As the pair had begun walking through the forest of Little Garden, the witch was unable to catch sight of both Sawyer and Leander. For an island named Little Garden, it was surely difficult to navigate through a very large island. But then came a moment where Ryoto had pulled out something from his pocket, resembling a snail. Wait... that looks awfully familiar. I think I may have brought one with me, it should probably be in my dress... she thought to herself as a single eyebrow raised up. Placing the piece of the Nirvana on her leg, she quickly searched her pockets within her dress and pulled out a Den Den Mushi. "Wait--- you have one too? Were you just talking to Sawyer and Leander there?" she said before she was interrupted by a loud sound coming from a far distance away.

"Hmm, looks like it's the Hourly Volcano~"

Ryoto nodded in response to Maya’s question. He had just tried to contact both Sawyer and Leander and was now placing the baby den den mushi back into his pocket. “Hopefully they are coming soon. Until then, it might be for the best if we wait here.” he said to the pink haired navigator. It seemed just as he finished his sentence, a warm burning sensation was felt from atop the merchant’s head. Reacting quickly to the pain, Ryoto swiftly brushed his hair furiously to remove whatever was causing this burning sensation. After a few violent tussles, he was free from the burning and a tiny bit of gray ash floated down from his head.

What the hell?” mouthed Ryoto as he looked into the sky. Like some sort of crazy rain, millions of tiny burning ashes were falling from the sky. They didn’t seem anywhere near lethal, but definitely burnt if touched by bare skin. It was pretty obvious to conclude where the ashes were coming from, seeing as the volcano had just erupted. “Okay, well maybe I was wrong.” he nervously said to Maya, “It might be a good idea for us to head into the building unless we want to singe our hair.” While talking to Maya, he held his arms over his head to stop the incoming ash from hitting him in the face, eyes, or hair.

The duo needed to shield themselves from these burning ashes for the time being. If they were at least up against the side of the building, most of the red hot embers would miss them. “Come on, Maya.” shouted Ryoto as he dashed away from her side and began running towards the side of the building. While running he looked back and noticed Maya still had her umbrella. “Damn it” thought Ryoto after reaching the side of the mysterious building, “I guess I could have just stayed under her parasol with her.
