Leander yawned casually as the sound of a large explosion woke him from his sleep. He had already deduced from the first island and the things that he'd heard as a child of the Strawhat Pirates that they were taking the same route. That would mean that this was infact Little Garden island and a explosion most likely meant they were close enough to hear the sound of the hourly volcano eruption. Judging by what he had heard about the island before it seemed very little chance of any people at all being here. The island was one which was trapped in time with ferocious ancient beasts, deadly diseases, and lets not forget hourly voclano eruptions shooting magma which not even he wanted to test his logia immunity to.

The fact that there was little to no chance of people being there had been upsetting for him at first. He still wanted to go ahead and fight for his cause however the fact that there were people as strong as Horus out there had him worrying. What if he lead his crew into another situation like that and things didn't end up as merrily as they did this time only where everyone escaped with their lives. Never again would he assume he can beat everyone simply because he was a logia, he'd learned that lesson well enough.

As Leander was getting dressed in the dark coolness of his room now, his boxers all that accompanied him at the moment he took a moment to walk around in thought while sliding into his clothes. His pants were the first, crossed stitched and made of expensive black cotton they were both stylish and moderately comfortable to wear. although they were impractical given the island they were about to embark on he felt he hadn't dressed properly in quite some time. Heading over to the closet on the far end of his room he opened it up digging through the lower section for a pair of black dress shoes that he slipped on before then sliding over his chest a black, button up, dress shirt with a white tie hanging down from his collar to his mid section. Smiling he then took the dark black captain's cape with blue streams along the shoulders down from the rack swinging it over his shoulders though not putting his arms through the sleeves, choosing to instead let them hang from his sides.

“BOOM!” The excessively loud sound of an explosion shook its way through the Black Rose’s vessel, awaking Sawyer from his slumber. Crusted over eyelashes began to break open as the bird man rolled over to his stomach. Wiping away both fresh and dried drool from his chin, he began to realize that they must have reached, or at least come close to, the next island. Pressing his hands against the wooden floor, Sawyer pushed himself to his knees, then to his feet.

Now back on his feet, the chef stretched his arms up, high above his head as he yawned loudly. Sleeping on the ship’s deck wasn’t too relaxing for his back. In fact, the dimwit didn’t remember much of the previous night. It was like a hazy dream of assassins and reuniting with family. “That’s the last time I take mushrooms off of a gravestone.” Sawyer grunted as he put his hands against his back and bent backwards to alleviate some of the knots that where made the previous night. A sudden cool breeze rolled through every inch of the birdman’s body, sending chills in all directions. Looking down, the chef realized that he was not only covered in scratches and bruises, but was also completely naked. “Well maybe not the last time…”

Cupping his privates with one of his hands, Sawyer began to stroll through the ship, towards his room. As he passed by other members of the crew, the dimwit merely looked at them with a large grin on his face and gave them the peace sign with his other hand. Finally reaching his quarters, Sawyer began to dress himself. By what he has heard about the up and coming island, and by what was proven by the loud explosion, he knew there was an active volcano on the island. The birdman personally didn’t want any of his shirt to be ruined by lava, so he decided to just do without. Walking out of his room with just jeans and some old shoes on, the chef was ready for whatever the island through at them.

Why... why did you guys have to go?
Trapped within her own nightmare, the witch had found it difficult to wake up. The same memory kept repeating itself like a broken record, appearing in every dream she had during the night. It was as though it was permanently etched into her mind. Her heart had told her that it had let go, but it seemed like her mind wasn't. The exact scene was as followed: Maya and her friends were flying down from Weatheria, each of them having a large smile on their faces. They all shouted with glee, screaming from the top of their lungs as they had finally begun to fulfill their dreams, which was to sail across the seas and go on epic journeys as pirates. But, then came that sudden hurricane out of the blue, separating them apart. Fate could have possibly played a role, but all Maya knew on that very day was that the crew's journey had ended right before it had started. But soon after, her dream would be slowly revived as she had met a few interesting companions, to say at the very least.

A sudden explosion inflicted a sudden awakening for the witch. The dream had fortunately came to an end, with Maya's torso immediately rising up from the bed. Her hands raised up, sliding across her forehead to feel the small traces of sweat coming down from the inevitable nightmare. What was that...? she thought to herself as she peered around the room. The events of yesterday were probably things that shouldn't have been mentioned today as they included a series of completely random scenes caused by hallucinatory objects recognized as 'mushrooms.' Without wasting a moment, the witch immediately stepped out of her bed slowly, making her way to the washroom where she would brush her teeth and then proceed to take a quick shower to wash away the stench of the sweat and anything else that may have gotten on her during the strange events of yesterday.

Once finished, she rushed back to her bedroom to open the closet to get changed for the day. We'll be at Little Garden today, an island filled with luscious nature and creatures just like Ryoto is able to transform into. There aren't any forms of civilization there nor is it an island in which it's safe to inhabit, so it looks like we won't be staying there for long, the witch thought to herself as she began scanning her closet for what to wear. Unfortunately for her, it was quite difficult choosing an outfit to wear for the day as there were far too many things to choose from. Ranging from sundresses, adorable and cute tops and shorts to other outfits, Maya had found it quite difficult to choose. Closing her eyes, she pushed her hand forward and pulled something out from the closet. Her eyes opened wide and glistened with amazement- it appears as though she had chosen the right outfit through sheer luck.

The outfit for the day was classy yet had an adorable look to it at the same time. It was a two piece outfit that consisted of two things: a sleeveless white shirt with ruffles around the center and a ruffly collar. Covering a majority of the shirt was a black vest, showing a small 'V' line to reveal the ruffles of the white shirt. Down the center of the vest were black ruffles. Connecting to the vest was a petite miniskirt that went approximately halfway down her thighs. As far as the accessories went, there was a red ribbon tied around her neck with two maroon strands hanging from the bottom of it. There were also assorted flower pieces placed in Maya's hair to add a more tropical touch. As for the shoes, she wore small black heels with a pad within them to provide her comfortable movement. If there was one thing that she would never forget, it would be her log pose that wrapped tightly around her wrist with a wooden bracelet. Before leaving her room to greet the other members, she grabbed a cyan plastic umbrella, considering as it was a sunny day and all.

Walking down the hallway to go the kitchen to see if breakfast was being served, the witch had caught sight of an odd sight once again. It seemed as though the events of yesterday had came back again to haunt her as she saw Sawyer running down the hallway with his hand covering an area that probably shouldn't be mentioned. Immediately, Maya looked to the side, staring at the wall. I'm going to pretend that I didn't see anything at all. At all. she thought to herself. Before he had gone off to his room, she spoke to Sawyer while staring at the wall. "Hey Sawyer, once you get changed would you mind making us some breakfast? If anything, I would not like to have that strange object you made us yesterday ever again," she said calmly. Before she headed off towards the deck, she said with a loud voice, "Alright everyone! We will be arriving at Little Garden shortly, so please get changed and fill up your stomachs before we arrive. Oh, and if one of you would be so kind as to drop the anchor before we arrive, that would be quite lovely as well!"

Ryoto quickly raised from his desk as a loud thundering boom echoed throughout the ship. He remained silent and didn’t move for several seconds in an attempt to hear if Leander, Sawyer, or Maya were in distress. However, as he put his ear to the air, all he could hear were some feint soft spoken words coming from his crewmates. “As long as they are fine, I shouldn’t have anything to worry about.” thought the young merchant as he calmly sat back down in his wooden chair.

In front of him lay a large mahogany desk with several personal effects laying about it. In the middle of said desk was a large leather bound book with gold letters imprinted on the spine, reading “Ancient History of Ancient Animals”. The current page was opened to a black and white ink sketch of a curious looking animal called the pterodactyl. Looking at this flying dinosaur made Ryoto think back on his flying experience with Sawyer. Before it turned terrifying it was a truly marvelous experience; something that Ryoto wishes he could do at least once more during his lifetime. “One day.” he softly spoke to himself as he placed a thin piece of paper on his current page as a bookmark and then closed the book.

Standing up from his wooden desk once again, Ryoto stretched his arms to the sky and let out a tiresome yawn. Ryoto was currently wearing no shirt and only had on a pair of checkered pajama pants to cover his indecency. His hair was in several knots and less than tame. “Time to get ready I guess.” He quietly said to himself while looking about his room.

Several minutes later…

Ryoto emerged from his room wearing a short-sleeve white button up that had the top 3 buttons unbuttoned, exposing his bare chest. Instead of his pajama pants he wore earlier, he now had on faded blue jean shorts than went just below his knee. Ryoto wasn’t exactly happy with wearing clothes as short as these. He was always a long sleeve shirt and pants kind of guy, but he could already tell the heat of this next island was something immense. “Alright time to find the others I guess.” he said while slicking his hair back and walking towards the kitchen.

Walking out of his room Leander strutted out onto the top deck like a king waiting for the others to come up from below as his cabin unlike their rooms was on the upper part of the ship. The others were already up and about he could hear them below him already stirring. He didn't feel like going down with them at this moment but rather enjoying the moment of solitude, they would come up on their own time anyway. The island was actually beautiful he thought to himself as he looked out over the edge of the ship, even the skeletal mountains that had once been the heads of seakings had a odd beauty. To him there was something oddly beautiful about nature, it was serene and peaceful even in it's most deadly of moments such as the active volcano.

"Supposedly there are dinosaurs here. I wonder if we'll meet some relatives of Ryoto hahaha" He laughed at a private joke he didn't expect the others to hear. He supposed Ryoto would have enjoyed a good laugh too but it was all as well either way. He could probably tell the ankylosaurus user the joke later on as he did find it quite funny. Thinking about dinosaurs however made him realize the sudden desire that all men come to at some point, wanting to ride a dinosaur. It was true he now had the urge to ride a dinosaur as his pet and name if spike. He'd take great care of it and hug it every day even. Sadly there was no room to fit a dinosaur, but at least once while on this island he would satisfy that childish dream of riding a dinosaur around like a horse. Although excited at this thought he doubted they would be doing much if anything serious on the island, so there was no rush to hurry the crew. Pulling from out of his persons a bottle of rum he'd taken from the personal stash in his room before leaving he lifted the beverage to his mouth uncorking it with his other hand before taking a mighty drink then capping it. "Yep this is going to be the best day ever."

“Yeah, I can whip something together.” Sawyer said responding to Maya. Strutting across the ship’s deck, Sawyer took his time to look at the island that was closing in on them. Trees were obviously abundant and large moving shapes on the island quickly began to scare him. Not to mention the giant mound of a volcano brought a queasy feeling to the birdman’s stomach. He had a feeling that today was going to be a pretty interesting day.

Walking into the kitchen, the chef took a look at all the supplies the ship had left in its disposal. A few bags of potatoes and some of the mushrooms from the earlier night were all that the birdman’s curious eyes could spot. “Well since the princess doesn’t want any more of the mushrooms, I hope she likes potatoes." Grabbing the bag of potatoes, Sawyer got to work. He let them slowly roll out of their straw bag onto the counter. Then using a bit of elbow grease, he began the tedious work of scrubbing each and every one of them clean under running water. It wasn’t exactly the type of work that the chef found fun, but at least it gave him some time to think for once. The busy life of a revolutionary hadn’t left much thinking time in his day to day life.

Once each separate spud was clean as a whistle, Sawyers nimble fingers began the process of peeling and cutting them up. Once prepared, he merely tossed them in a pan and let them slowly sizzle over a dim flame. After a few minutes of stirring the pieces around and adding an assortment of seasonings, the dimwit emptied the pan onto a large plate. Grabbing a few of the sliced pieces of potato, he quickly devoured them as he grabbed his scythe and left the kitchen. “If anyone wants food, it’s in the kitchen!” He yelled out for everyone to hear.

Walking out onto the deck brought upon a refreshing feeling for the witch. Maya took in a deep breath, enjoying the wonderful sea breeze and smell that she had yearned for ages. She would now finally be able to live the dream her old friends were not able to before- she would go on a journey sailing across the seas and going on an adventure to tell the generations to come. The witch had made her way to the railings of the ship, bending her body slightly over so that her elbows had made contact with the tough wood. Maya's head stuck out a little, seeing the island of Little Garden come closer and closer into view as the ship continuously moved due to the waves. "Ahh~" she sighed. From her eyes, the island was truly a magnificent sight to see. There were two large sea king skulls placed on both sides of the island, which was quite a scary thought to think about considering as she had never seen or heard of sea kings that enormous. Tropical trees and flying objects within the far distance completely surrounded and covered the island, making it a wonderful place to travel.

I hope you guys are watching me, because I'm about to begin a journey that you'd be so jealous of! she thought to herself as a large smile appeared across her face.

Filled with contentment and excitement, Maya was finally prepared to explore the wonders of Little Garden. She had done research on it beforehand, but didn't get the opportunity to find out detailed information on the creatures that had lived there. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to find a book titled 'Ancient Book of Ancient Animals,' which the witch could have sworn she saw it a couple of days ago. There also laid the possibility that she would be able to catch sight of ancient ruins on the island, hoping to use her knowledge as an archaeologist to her benefit. There could have possibly been a lost civilization on the island before that lived amongst the creatures, or even a great treasure hidden deep within the sea kings' skulls! But if anything, we should most likely be aware of the Hourly Volcano, that's most likely going to be a problem we should avoid, she noted. The witch's body was continuously being surged with glee, she was partially afraid of the dangers of the island, but was excited at the same time.

It wasn't long before Maya's stomach began rumbling vigorously. Fortunately, Sawyer had called out from the kitchen saying that the food had finally been prepared. "Yay!~" she said with a happy tone to her voice before walking towards the kitchen.

Once at the kitchen, the witch opened the door to be greeted by a lovely smell. She couldn't put her finger on what the exact smell was like, but she knew that it had smelled absolutely delicious. Maya looked at the dining table to notice that slices of food had been placed onto a large plate. "Ah, this looks absolutely delicious! I'm going to hope that these things don't have hallucinatory effects," she said with a cheerful voice. Grabbing a small plate and a fork from the cabinet beside the sink, she made her way to the large plate where she would begin jabbing the slices with the fork and placing them onto the small plate. Afterwards, she would then sit down at the table and began plopping the slices into her mouth one by one. Mmmm!~ These are so good! I definitely need to ask Sawyer what this is called! Food on the sea level is so interesting! she thought to herself as she began to hum a slight tune while eating the exceptionally well done food.

Alright, I'm now full and ready to go to Little Garden! she noted. Maya rose up from her seat and placed the plate and fork into the sink.

The witch would then walk out the kitchen, heading towards the wheel of the ship to steer. The Night Thorn was heading closer and closer towards the island onto a small shore perfect for landing. Already, Maya was able to see the large trees that swarmed the island endlessly, along with a couple of faint roars within the distance. "Alright everybody, I hope you're ready because we're about to land! We'll be there in a minute or so, so we need the anchor down as soon as possible!" the witch shouted, hoping that the members of the ship would be able to hear her. With her umbrella leaning against the side of the wheel, her log pose attached to her wrist firmly and the Nirvana tightly wrapping around the side of her right thigh, Maya was prepared to explore Little Garden.

The magnificent smell of potatoes sizzling on a pan abruptly caught Ryoto’s attention. He hadn’t eaten anything all morning and food was definitely a necessity before they docked on the island. Immediately, the merchant began to follow the scent across the ships wooden floor boards, letting his sense of smell guide him. Soon enough, he found himself nearing the ships kitchen. Ryoto hadn’t really thought of it before hand, but it did make the most sense that this was where the smell of food was coming from. The slight sign of acknowledgement of a head nod was all Ryoto sent the chefs way as they passed by near the kitchens doorway.

As the merchant entered the kitchen, he was surprised to find that the ships newcomer was already sitting down and helping herself to the food. “Well you seem to be enjoying yourself.” Ryoto joked as he walked to the table and placed some of the sliced potatoes on a small plate. He decided not to sit down to eat with Maya. He was already a bit uncomfortable around her because of her being new and the things that he had done to her the night they ate those mushroom. Not to mention, wearing such short clothes made him feel a bit out of his element.

Eventually, Ryoto found himself standing in the corner of the kitchen, happy to finally fill his starving stomach. Plopping of a few of the potato slices in his mouth, he began to chew ravenously. Yet soon enough his quick chewing began to slow down until it nearly reached a point where he was barely chewing at all. Spitting out the terrible food into a nearby trash, Ryoto then continued to empty his entire plate. “Another swing and a miss Sawyer.” Ryoto mumbled under his breath. “Well I’m gonna go meet with the captain on deck. You can have the rest of the potatoes if you want.” Ryoto said to Maya as he began to exit the room.

Okay this was taking too long. How long could they take to simply eat breakfast and get ready? The bottle of rum which he'd grabbed immediately from his private stash before leaving his room was three-fourths of the way empty. If he finished this entire bottle soon he knew for sure he'd be drunk. It wasn't like he truely cared if he got drunk though, he had developed a tolerance for alcohol, the stuff didn't effect him too greatly and when it did it wore off just as fast as it came. It wasn't like the others hadn't seen him drunk before anyway so seeing him again wouldn't be a shock to anyone. His alchoholism however wasn't the issue at the moment though as the ship settled on to the sandy shores of the island with a small bump signaling their halt. Perhaps that small jolt would give them motivation to crawl up from out of their hole.

Stomping his foot impatiently Leander held his hand up in front of him. He'd been trying to work out a new technique since their journey however it was proving itself to be quite difficult. Focusing now he attempted once again to perfect this new technique. Over his palm a melon sized orb of white fluffy smoke appeared the orb rapidly began to spin slowly shrinking in size as he concentrated on condensing the pressure on it. If successful he was sure this would easily be the most destructive attack he had ever witnessed, on the level of a bomb. However the problem was that he either condensed it to the point where it removed all the trapped air pressure inside filling it with just smoke or that he couldn't amount enough air pressure and the attack barely did anything at all. Suddenly he felt the air pressure leave entirely from the orb. Once again he had failed to master it he realized with a sigh, throwing both his arms down at his side the smoke evaporating at his will.

Passing by Ryoto, Sawyer merely swung his arm around and gave him a friendly slap on the back. At this point, the chef had become so comfortable with being on the ship with Ryoto that their interactions weren’t much but small gestures, relaying their acknowledgment of one another. Nonetheless, Sawyers pace hadn’t diminished and he was soon picking his feet up the steps that led to the deck of the vessel.

Walking into the bright shine of the outside world, the birdman quickly spotted his captain. Strolling over, Sawyer took spot next to Leander and looked out at the island which seemed to be right on their doorstep. “Glad to see this place.” Sawyer said to his captain, trying to spark a conversation. After a few silent seconds, he decided to speak once more. “Ya know, back on Cactus Island… I wasn’t exactly sure we were going to be able to step foot on this island. Or any other island for that matter.” He said in almost a hush tone. Just the thought of their experience on Cactus Island sent spikes of pain through the birdman’s body. Though all the bee stings had long since healed, the mental anguish was still there. “But we’ll put up a fight next time.” Sawyer added with a smile as he placed a hand on Leander’s shoulder.

Suddenly, a large vibration reached havoc through the ship and sent the dimwit sprawling to the ground. At first, Sawyer thought it was another volcanic eruption, but then after getting back on his feet, he realized what the real problem was. No one had listened to Maya’s order to throw out the anchor, so the ship helplessly ran land. Although a bit too late, Sawyer then tossed the anchor over the side of the ship where in plopped heavily into the sand. “Anchor dropped!”the dimwit shouted and he gave Maya a thumbs up.

Jumping over the boats railing, Sawyer’s feet dug deep into the islands sandy beach as he landed. “Well lets get going guys. I wanna feed a t-rex by hand before we leave. You know, like how they do with sheep at a petting zoo.” Sawyer said as he waited for the rest of the crew to join him.

A sudden impact of the ship crashing against the shore had caused the witch to suddenly step backwards as she lost balance. Her hands were tightly gripped around the handles of the wheel, allowing her to pull herself forward with ease. "Woah!" she shouted out loud. She soon made the connection that no one had listened to Maya before and didn't drop the anchor, allowing the ship to have a much rougher crash. Fortunately, the impact wasn't immense, so there was no point in Maya yelling at her new friends for such matters. Grabbing the umbrella then making her way down, she had noticed that Sawyer had dropped the anchor while Leander and Ryoto were already on the deck of the ship, prepared to leave to explore the island. "Thank you Sawyer, that's awfully kind of you!" she replied happily as she gave him a thumbs up as well. It was soon then that Sawyer had jumped off the railings of the ship, making Maya raise up an eyebrow as she was curious to know why he didn't use a ladder or a rope of any sort.

Is that really safe...? she thought to herself.

Thinking that it had appeared fun to her, she followed his actions and stood on top of the railings, looking down to realize that the distance wasn't too enormous. Opening the umbrella, raised it above her head before she had hopped down onto the sands that had broken her fall slightly. "Uhm Sawyer, I don't think feeding a tyrannosaurus rex by hand isn't necessarily the smartest idea. They're quite ferocious and aggressive, you know. Sheeps are the exact opposite of them," she said as she gave Sawyer an odd expression. Though she hadn't known Sawyer in depth, the witch had thought that he was quite an enjoyable person to be around. He did act quite odd at times, but she had just assumed that it was the way regular people on the sea level had acted; there was also the fact that neither Ryoto or Leander appeared to like his amazing and delicious cooking, with the exception of the magical mushrooms from yesterday though.

"Looks like we've finally reached Little Garden, huh?" she voiced with a large smile on her face.

Looking forward, she could smell the tropical scent of the island fully. Water was slowly creeping up behind her, but she didn't seem to mind it. The mystical wonders of Little Garden stood right before her, open for her and her companions to explore. With the umbrella above her head, she was able to block out the harmful sunlight that would have shone brightly upon her flawless skin. Taking a few steps forward, she looked back to face her friends. "Alright, do you guys have anything planned or anything you want to do on the island... besides feeding T-Rexes by hand?"

As Ryoto reached the top of the deck, his balance was quickly thrown off as the ship collided with the sand-filled beach. “I guess we’re here.” he uttered under his breath. Placing one hand on the railing, he leaped over the side of the ship and landed firmly in the warm sand. “I found that it’s easier to just let Sawyer do what he wants, Maya. He has dumb ideas, but he always seems to come back alive, so why fight it?

Continuing several feet forward until the sand turned into grass, Ryoto turned to talk to his crewmates. “To answer your question, Maya, we are doing nothing specific.” said the young merchant, “As far as we know this island is only filled with ancient animals. I doubt there are any slaves to free, marine bases to attack, or even any treasure to find here.” Ryoto paused for a moment to brush the back behind his head. The warmth coming from both the sunlight and the erupting volcano was immense. Small beads of sweat were already forming on his forehead and he didn’t want to know how much worse it would be when they neared the actual volcano.

I guess we could look for any edible food or other organic materials that might be useful.” suggested the dinosaur man. Lifting his hand to his forehead to block the sunlight he posed a question to his crew, “Do we want to split up or travel together?” Ryoto stood silently in the blazing sun as he waited for someone to make an official decision. He was hoping that Leander would step forward and tell them what the plan was, because in this heat, Ryoto didn’t want to make any decisions on his own. “Well captain? What’s the plan?

Leander strummed his foot against the deck the the Night Thorn as he listened to their proposals. Ryoto had been right as well as Sawyer, they had nothing planned so why not play with the dinosaurs. Sawyer certainly had his moments of epic stupidity yet the kid always seemed to come back fine and he was fast enough to escape from trouble if he had to. "Yeah sure Sawyer go and do that. Follow the rules of the ship though, and don't talk to strangers. If you see anyone you don't know that says to get on their ship because they have puppies or candy don't trust them, come back right away."

Taking a moment to breath he turned away from directly Sawyer facing to the rest of the crew before continuing. "Also I don't particularly see the harm in splitting up, its not as if dinosaurs are any real threat to anyone but Maya as she's new here. I personally am heading off in search of a T-Rex to kick in the nuts and then tame. Have fun. Everyone come back shortly since we'll be sailing off as soon as possible also give that this is a island of ancient things there could be some freaky diseases, contact me on the den den mushi if you feel ill." Lifting up his sleeve he revealed the den den mushi that was strapped around his left wrist the snail sleeping casually. On that final note Leander hopped over the edge of the ship walking casually over toward the seaking skull mountains where he expected he'd most likely find a T-Rex. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long to find one as this was a issue of the most pressing concern. He had rum though he thought with a childish grin, that would make this much more interesting. Looking over his shoulder he adressed Sawyer with a wink tossing him the bottle of rum "Looks like we're both hunting for tyrannosaurus rexs perhaps we actually should stick together."

The birdman’s curious eyes began scanning the marvelous tree lines the sprung from the soil of Little Garden. Through the thickets, he could easily spot colorful foliage and giant sized plants. Sawyer couldn’t help but smile. This place was truly a fantastic sight to behold. Meanwhile, as the chef gawked at the islands plentiful forests, the other crewmates began their discussion. With his attention centered elsewhere, Sawyer didn’t even notice that the rest of the crew had exited the ship, or began talking for that matter. “Candy and puppies? Where?” the dimwit suddenly remarked as the mere mention of two of his favorite things dragged his attention away from the forest.

Walking to the small circle where Ryoto, Leander and Maya discussed, the birdman was upset to find that neither candy nor puppies were present. Sawyer figured it must have just been something that was simply brought up in conversation, but it was still depressing for him because he was willing to follow even a stranger to get them. “Why are we still standing around here?” the birdman asked in a disheartened tone. “My feets are burning up.” He added, referring to the affect the hot sand was having on his bare feet. At this point, Sawyer was right on the edge of throwing a tantrum. He just wanted everyone to stop talking for once so he could go feed a t-rex.

Grabbing a tight hold of his captains arm, Sawyer began to trudge through the sand, dragging him behind. “We’ve planned enough. Feed dinosaur now!” The dimwit grunted to Leander just as he was reaching the edge of the forest. The islands moist soil was a cool relief compared to its hot sand. Yet looking ahead, the chef could tell that the islands uncultivated forests were going to be a pain to travel through. Using his scythe as a machete, he began cutting every tree branch and vine that stood in his way as he entered the forest.

Upon hearing Ryoto mention that Sawyer was unchangeable, the witch had let out a small sigh. They had known him much better than she did, so it probably would have been in the best interest for Maya to not retaliate or try to defend Sawyer. "Well, I guess so then, but we should at least take extra measures to watch over Sawyer, no? This is most likely a much more dangerous island than the previous we were on," she said with a comforting voice. Walking along the shore, the witch's foot slowly sunk into the sand bit by bit. Unfortunately, it was not a good environment to be wearing heels in as the sand crawled its way onto her foot and into the soles of her heels. Wanting to get out of the shore immediately, she rushed up towards land, different paths lay, one including a straight path with small grass and another with tall grass; these paths were separated by large trees that rose up high, almost as if they were reaching the sky.

"There we go," Maya said as she began taking off her heels and clashing them against each other, allowing the grains of sand to fall out.

It was soon after that Ryoto had replied saying that there weren't any plans or anything to do on the island, it was a simple matter of exploring for a bit and going on a hunt to restock on food. Now that she had gotten closer and was now on the island, the temperature had increased significantly; it wasn't her best decision to wear black on a sunny day like this. Although, her umbrella still managed to cool her down slightly as it had blocked out the sunlight. "Why would you guys have the need to attack marine bases? I would have assumed that you would have done whatever it takes to avoid them and only fight them when necessary," the witch voiced, with a single eyebrow raised as curiosity and had peaked within her. She remembered when she had first met them- they had said that they were pirates; from what stories were told to her when she was young, there was a never ending battle between pirates and marines, and the pirates had always wanted to avoid them.

"Even if we aren't attacking any marine bases or freeing slaves, the possibility of treasure still exists. That, and the fact that there could be some ancient ruins that I would absolutely love to research," she said merrily.

Soon enough, a question was raised regarding whether the crew was splitting up or traveling together on the island. The decision was made by Leander: the crew was to split up, find whatever they could, and if anyone was in danger they needed to contact each other via the Den Den Mushi. "Looks like we're going together, aren't we Ryoto?" she added with a slightly nervous tone to her voice. Reminiscing the events of yesterday, there could have possibly been some awkward tension between them considering as Ryoto had thrown a brass candelabrum at her and almost cut a lot of her hair off while he was under the effects of the strange object. Walking down the path with very little to no tall grasses to cut, she put her right arm down, grabbing a third of the Nirvana and began blowing it through her mouth. At the end of it, small aqua bubbles began to float within the air and then slowly dissipating; one would be able to feel that the temperature had decreased slightly while the density increased a little as well. Even though the weather conditions weren't particularly the best, Maya had the ability to alter it a little to her needs.

"Come on Ryoto, let's do a little exploring, though I'd say we best be careful of creatures."
