An inventor is a man or woman with knowledge in how various mechanical devices work. They have good insight in how blueprints work, and can upgrade weapons, build explosives and battle engines if they have enough materials. Inventors don’t need to pay upkeep for their gadgets that they use in battle. They will also get a 20% discount on any technological upgrades they make to their own weapons. Clothing/Accessories: Being the wannabe superhero he is, Filpo has a skin tight suit with over the clothes undies. These suit is a bright white with a light wood-brown puppet emblazoned on the chest area with 4 black strings attached that lead up to a similarly light wood-brown cross section. However, as with most other heroes, he lives his life with an alter ego. In Filpo's case, He disguises himself as a common scientist. As per the scientist alter ego, he wears any number of the common slacks and shirts that he has shoddily modified to rip off in a relatively easy fashion without damaging the clothes. He also wears the all purpose lab coat that makes the scientist look like a scientist.
General Appearance: Filpo is a buff dirt brown skinned midget moray eel fishman with 2 sets of eyes. His original set of eyes from being a fishman are bulging eyes that sit to the side and at the top of his head, along with these are fully functioning human eyes that he, himself, put in. However, an ever present paralytic green mucus covers the whole of his body, making him look green.

The Character
Personality: Filpo is the epitome of the optimistic vigilante in terms of personality. In everyone he sees the good in them and thus refuses to kill anyone. As a person, though, he's a bit introverted and likes to keep his thoughts to himself rather than openly expressing himself. This comes from him hinging on his human mother's philosophy, "Don't speak unless you have something good to say", that was drilled into him as a young child. As a hero, he acts like the comic book part, with full on catch phrases and the unyielding attitude that he's always right. When in his suit, he gains the confidence he doesn't have out of it that allows him to be less introverted than normal. When ever he sees trouble brewing, he checks it out, because that's what superheros do.

Hometown:Loguetown, East Blue
History:Filpo was born a mutant moray eel fishman from his two similarly raced fishman parents. His flaw being an insanely small size, especially for their type of fishman. In his infancy stage, they nursed in him hopes of him being a late grower but as he grew, he stayed his exceptionally small size. Finally as a toddler, when he had only hit about two feet in height(A normal fishchild of his type hitting five or six feet), his parents were too ashamed of him as their child and kicked him onto the streets of fishman island in the grand line.

On the streets and unable to fend for himself, being of an age where he wasn't able to speak coherently, he had drifted along the streets sometimes gaining sympathy from his fellow fishman brethren but most gave him a dirty look or messed around with him. After months of this, he was finally on the verge of death from the lack of any sizable amount of food in his belly. Finally, as he was about to die, a human scientist found him, and sympathizing with his situation, picked his small body up and took him with her.

Over the next few months, the kind scientist nursed him back to health while slowly coming to grow fond of this tiny helpless child as her own. When he had reached a stable state, the scientist went back to her research on certain plants around fishman island. In her free time, she taught her newly adopted son, Filpo(his new name), the basics of learning, to which he had taken in surprisingly fast. He especially had excelled at math and science, prompting her to take him on her research trips to learn about all types of chemicals and plants. In his free time when he was not with her, he found mechanical items and tinkered with them to see how they worked.

When Tara Pater, the kind scientist who Filpo now knew as mom, had finished with her research and data collection at fishman island, he was now 7 and learning maths and sciences kids six years his age would usually be learning. He was turning out to be an absolute sponge for information, which made his mother greatly proud, even if he was only 3'0". The completion of her work, now prompted her to head back to her hometown Loguetown to compile the data and put it to use.

The trip back was taken by a marine battleship his mother had procured with reason to get back to east blue. Having no previous record, they took her along with a convoy to east blue along with Filpo. Here, he learned his sense of justice that would later morph into his determination to become a super hero for justice. It was also here that he understood how revolting he actually looked, especially to humans. Being with the marines, their trip was long but went mostly unhindered, save for the rare attempted pirate raid that was quickly dealt with.

After 6 months of sailing, Filpo and his mom, tara, finally disembarked the marine vessel at Loguetown. It was here that he spent most of his life, continuing his home schooled education and tinkering with machines. His life was a sheltered one, one that left him to himself for longer and longer as his mother delved into the data and research she had been studying at Fishman island. This left him increasingly to him self, which left him more time to tinker and study by himself. It was around this time that he formed his plans to become a vigilante.

Using his free time wisely, he constantly exercised to pump his body up to the status of what a super hero's should be. What he had in mind most, though, was the look of disdain he got from others, which he figured was the weird placement of his eyes. Thus, he set off on a path to obtain normal eyes, not only for the public view but also to make his mom view him as her real son. Shut up in his room, he searched the countless research of his mother's colleagues, as well as his mother's personal research, finally coming upon the possibility of transplanting two human eyes into his own head and connecting the nerves as they would normally on a human.

The only question left for Filpo was the moral one; That is, how he would obtain such an object without violating his own morals. Through a bit more research he learned of a way to grow the eyes needed, so he set to it to obtain the materials needed to do grow his own eyes. Through several months trial and error, he finally had a successful pair of eyes incubating in his room that now looked more like a lab. It was at this time that he began to delve into the anatomy of humans in books and perfect his technique at surgery.

When the eyes had finally incubated to the point of full growth, he deemed the time was right to implant them in himself. Using his spare set of eyes, he set to the arduous and painful process of implanting a new set of eyes into oneself. After hours of self surgery, He wrapped up his second set of eyes so they would set into his head. Now 13, Filpo was halfway to his dream of helping those in need of help through his fists of justice.

He now decided that just looking the part wasn't going to help him any when got down to business and really started saving people. Thus, he set on a brainstorm for what power he would go for and how he would go about it. After many hours of thinking he decided he wanted to control his enemies and the things around him. He tried to learn ESP from a book he bought, but ultimately failed at that, so he went for the next best thing: using some type of grappling hook to grab on to things and pull them around.

Finding that wire could be just as strong as any grappling hook he could find, as well as much lighter to carry around, he began practicing grabbing things with the wire. He soon found he needed some type of weight to throw it with any type of distance. He soon found that it was trouble some to have to carry around so much wire and also the inconvenience of having to manually reattach a new tip every time the wire broke for one reason or another.

With this in mind, he took his hobby of tinkering and applied it to his situation, soon building a wire shooting gun based on spring movement. Still, he wasn't satisfied with just that and decided to build himself cybernetic arms to house the guns he had made. He first began by building many prototypes that didn't run properly and finally to the completed arms powered by low amounts heat from the smoldering of wood.

The hard part done, he went to the task of replacing his arms with them. If anything, a simple task for one who had put in extra eyes of his own. Finally happy with himself, he made himself a costume and named himself "The Puppeteer", which by a strange twist of fate was a play off his own name. Now a grown man but only two feet taller than when he was a toddler, he set off to fight evil in the name of justice!


Abilities and Possessions
Combat: The Puppeteer uses a combination or strength and accuracy to push, pull, and control things with thin metal wire that twists it's way onto objects. With this ability and the fact that the mechanism for the wire is hidden in his cyborg arms, he makes it look like he's making things move with his mind. He takes the objects he's "lifting" and throws them at his opponent or attempts to take control of his opponent's movements via wire.
Weaponry:
  • Twin wire guns - Placed in either arm with the barrels in the index fingers, he has two spring based guns that fire wire in a grapple gun like fashion to various objects. They have a range of about twenty feet.
  • Harpoon Gun - Placed in a hidden hole on his right palm, this spring fired harpoon gun was turned into a grapple gun with the addition of a pulley system that returns with a flick of his wrist. Permanently attached to the end is a grapple hook specially made by Filpo to be stealthily used.

  • Two extra grapple hooks that need to be manually reattached, should the wire break or be manually cut.

Traits:
Fishman (2 Traits) - Fishmen gain the benefits of the Mighty Strength trait, and may breath underwater. Their movements in water are not hampered as greatly as normal humans, and they may swim at great speeds. They gain one form of natural weapon, based on their species.
  • Poisonous Body Mucus - As a moray eel, Filpo defensively covers his body at all times with a green mucous like substance that can paralyze a target if touched. As an eel himself, the substance doesn't effect him but has paralyzing effects to any susceptible person. The effect lasts 1 post for every one-third of Filpo's fortune they are below in stamina. If the person has more stamina than two-thirds of his fortune, they are immune to any paralyzing but may still feel grossed out at the mucus-like substance getting on them.(on hold)

Mad Scientist (1 Trait) – The epitome of madness. Cackling and gleeful hand-rubbing is a favorite pastime of this character, and every time they finish an experiment, there are obligatory flashes of lightning. The mad scientist has the ability to make one major biological modification to themselves and any NPCs the control.
  • Human Eyes - As a member of the Fishman race, Filpo has one of the odd traits of the Eel that leave his eyes at the top and to the side, which isn't necessarily a disadvantage. In an attempt to make himself more super hero and human-like, with some knowledge of the human body, he transplanted two working human eyes into his head. These can work in unison with his original two for a greater field of vision.

Basic Cyborg (1 Trait) - This is the most basic level of cyborg, and the most commonly encountered type in the blues. A Basic Cyborg begins with up to 3M Beli worth of modifications. Their bodies are made out of Iron and do not vary from their original size. They may have one concealed weapon per arm or leg, and one basic system per other appendage. Note that these weapons or systems are very basic.
  • Wood Fuel - Filpo must continually refill his supply of woodwith three inch by three inch blocks that measure a foot in length. He does this by two compartments in the upper part of his arm that fit these small pieces of wood; These slowly smolder, using the resulting heat to power his systems.
  • Arms (2 million beli):
    • Right Arm Weapon- A small hole in his index finger holds spring based wire shooter with small two pound iron weights that attach to the end of the wire line after each shot. An inner spindle supplies 50 feet of thin iron wire that has to be refilled every so often.
    • Left Arm Weapon- A similar hole in his left index finger holds the same spring based string shooter with two pound needles as weights instead of the normal dull weights that also attach to the end of the wire line after each shot. The same type of spindle also supplies this arm and needs to be refilled every so often.
    • Secondary Right Arm Weapon- Hidden away in the palm of his hand is a quick returning harpoon installed as a grappling hook, used to attach onto the side of nearby buildings and objects. Inside his arm is an extra compartment for another bundle of wire to be installed that attaches to a specially made iron grapple hook. This grapple hook is made to be stealthy: Small, painted black and made so that it's wings are built into it and pop out when fired. Also installed is a quick return system for use in either pulling things toward him or pulling his light body upward. As with the two wire shooters, the wire can be cut, should it have need to be done.

Guldo...

One weapon/item per cyborg arm

The poison is relatively weak and all, but it'll still cost you an extra trait into fishman. On the plus side though, you can make it a bit stronger and perhaps make some techs to make it better.

Edit: Actually, since the Harpoon was a santasmas gift we may be able to make an exception, unless another mod disagrees.

Hm... well the santasmas message gave me the harpoon gun to incorporate it into an arm for free, so I just assumed I didn't have to pay for it or something. Damn, though, would I be able to change the poison or take it out until I have the trait for it? I don't really have anything I could remove at this moment without kinda destroying the point. The poison is available to be changed/removed though...

Im clam with the harpoon and I don't see a problem with grabbing poison once you earn another trait.

Then Tommy tries to think up a plan to defeat this guy and after a few seconds, thought of the perfect plan to knock him out which was to punch him in the back of the head. He then out maneuvers him by side stepping to the back of him and punches him right on the back of his head perfectly which then knocks him out for the rest of the bar brawl. "That took care of him, now who next?"

Cool. I'll note that I don't have it yet then and take out the freezing tech for now? My math failed me pretty hard too, changed my tech points to reflect how much are really used ._.
