youd need for that martial artist, critical hit would be advised too as would a few other proffesional traits in that category. There are several real life martial arts that focus on exactly what you're thinking of. Go look them up i'd suggest. | |||||||||

Can be done via techs, probably. Maybe a trait could be worked. Techs would probably be fairly high-end. Don't you dare quote me on this. |

its been done many times Sai. I know Yuni uses a fighting style like that, something called Muai Thai or close to that. | |||||||||

Muai Thai isn't a response/ counter response art >_> What Sai is talking about sounds closer to Aikido and it's descendants. If this was taken up as a martial art style, since an Aiki-based martial art is about responding to your opponent and interrupting them, it would most definitely take a custom martial art trait, since there is no counter-system built in to OPRP, and without a trait to separate you from everyone else, anyone would be able to make counter moves in and amongst their regular routine. |

Doubtful that you're the first that thought of it/tried using it. But you're probably the first that has a trait for it/could use it to the full idea. Maybe. |

Countering something wouldn't require a trait, it's more of technique territory though i'm sure it's possible to freeform at it's most basic level such as simple dodge then simple punch. A trait would simply help you with using counters more effectively, so it's still a good idea. | |||||||||
