What I am trying to say is that I would use another profession slot and trait points, besides the already in place entertainer, to get an npc that can earn more than 2/3 sd.

We've been over this. They can't earn more than 2/3.

Blue Euringer
SD Earned: 392
Bounty: 75 million
Affiliation: Pirate
Profession: Martial Artist / Thief
Devil Fruit: Pamu Pamu no Mi

Crew: The Black Sale Trading Company (BSTC)
Position: Captain
Current Members: 3
Crew Bounty: 193 million
Current Location: Sea Train Zone - Pucci

Then Tommy tries to think up a plan to defeat this guy and after a few seconds, thought of the perfect plan to knock him out which was to punch him in the back of the head. He then out maneuvers him by side stepping to the back of him and punches him right on the back of his head perfectly which then knocks him out for the rest of the bar brawl. "That took care of him, now who next?"

I am just trying to think of a way to make him stronger when he is around my character. Maybe a percent increase of her buffs on him because they have been together for so long.

The npc profession will be something like "Guardian" because that is exactly what he was meant to be. I also wanted to give my character a unique profession involving the Sairento (not exactly calling her royalty but something high enough for her to have a guardian). Any help besides "no" would be appreciated.

If you are just going to say no in any way or form then just do not post in this topic. This topic is for people who actually have an idea or way for me to reach my goal.

Honestly, I cannot think of a way for the NPC to become stronger through buffs when the characters are around each other. Another member is free to come and give ideas, but personally, I don't think something like that would even be possible.

A percent increase buffs doesn't seem plausible. As buffs/de-buff techniques increase in ranks, the percentage of their buffs increase; a trait to have this percentage increase doesn't seem possible.

You're free to have a 'Guardian' profession for the NPC, but it won't be able to do much as they won't get any profession bonus or any traits relating to the profession. If you simply want stat bonuses, then take regular traits.

What regular traits would give a stat bonus?

Say my character could grant 40 speed and the bonus from (npc)traits the npc gained from her buffs was 25%. The npc would gain 50 speed instead of 40. If my character could grant 50 speed, and the bonus was still 25%, the npc would gain 62 speed instead of 50. Just an idea.

Would it be possible to create a profession for my character that gave her this npc that gets 2/3 of her sd? Would it then be possible to make a npc trait that increases the buffs from my character by 25%?

Tyrant's Samba got a trait approved of that lets musical buffs and debuffs on her work at 125% effectiveness if i remember right, so if you are really set on something like this then i would suggest talking to him and finding an animal that could actually be affected by it as well.

Again, it would cost you another trait to get it since he had to pay for it, and its still up to the mods if it is acceptable. I'm new as well but i suggest going through profiles and seeing what other people do to get ideas.

Regular stat traits:
Quote:

Mighty Strength (1 Trait) - This character's strength is boosted by 20%.
Super Strength (2 Traits) - This character's strength is boosted by 40%.
Monster Strength (3 Traits) - This character's strength is boosted by 60%.

Great Speed (1 Trait) - This character's speed is boosted by 20%.
Sonic Speed (2 Traits) - This character's speed is boosted by 40%.
Ludicrous Speed (3 Traits) - This character's speed is boosted by 60%.

Bear Stamina (1 Trait) - This character's stamina is boosted by 20%.
Mammoth Stamina (2 Traits) - This character's stamina is boosted by 40%.
Giant Stamina (3 Traits) - This character's stamina is boosted by 60%.

Keen Accuracy (1 Trait) - This character's accuracy is boosted by 20%.
Superb Accuracy (2 Traits) - This character's accuracy is boosted by 40%.
Flawless Accuracy (3 Traits) - This character's accuracy is boosted by 60%.

As for the question regarding a buff percentage increase, I believe I'm going to have to say no. It seems unfair and partially unbalanced; though, I should probably leave this to a higher level moderator's discretion.
After reading what Keiri said, I think it may be allowed; but, the buff percentage increase cannot be used by the NPC as it seems to be a profession-only trait.

Also, I'm pretty sure the 2/3 SD NPC is only exclusive to entertainer. Otherwise, I'd say just get the Born Leader trait.

Then it would be easy to get the entertainer npc trait then give the npc a trait that increased my character's buffs on him by 25% or more if possible.

Btw samba is way too strong.

You're able to get the Entertainer NPC trait; but the NPC cannot take the trait that allows a 25% buff increase. That is a Profession-only trait and NPC's cannot take professional traits.

I thought the 25% increase was a custom trait, not a profession.
Oh I see what you're saying. That's fine, the trait will not deal with a profession anyway.

Well, from the way it's described, an increase in percentage for buffs with the entertainer profession would most likely fall under 'professional traits.'

1. I mentioned Samba's buff trait earlier on.

2. The trait that Tyrant made is custom and non-prof related.

3. It's only one trait point.

There.

~on my phone! Was thinking abbout a fighting style that used the opponent's strength/momentum against him. Another bonus of the style is that the user doesn't need extremly high strength to beat others with high strength.

He would only need half the strength of the opponent as well as higher speed and accuraccy. The speed would be used to.. move quickly. The accuracy would be in order to react to the opponents movement. If all these criteria are met by the user then he would dominate almost any opponent.

This unique style requires the user to step into an attack before it can reach full strength, this allows the user to have at least half the strength of the enemy. The enemy's momentum is then used against them and usually instantly back at them before the style user attacks with a combo.
