The trap had been laid perfectly; Xocoyatl knew her opponent would take the bait. As soon as she feels her right hand’s momentum stop, and her opponent’s masculine grip upon her, she will immediately rotate her wrist counter clockwise while at the same time counter his pull by pulling her own arm down and to the right. The twisting motion of her wrist brings the ridged shape of her hand against her opponent’s wrist creating a counter force like a stick under a rock to move it.

To increase the strength of this attempt, thus fending off the attempt to pull her off balance, Xocoyatl steps forward with her left foot so that it turns her body completely. This means that her left shoulder will face the opponent. Bringing her left foot forward, in addition to powering up her right arm’s yank, ensures that even if he is able to overcome her attempt to pull her arm back Xocoyatl’s left foot will be forward and able to keep her balanced.

As she steps through with the counter on his grapple Xocoyatl’s left hand darts forward like a spear. She aims up very slightly and forward to strike the man directly in the windpipe as she had intended before. “Push, push, and push until you push your opponent over,” she remembered her master’s words well. She steps into his attack fearlessly, both arms already committed to the battle.

The swinging haymaker is aimed wide at the side of Xocoyatl’s head, while her attack is aimed at the front of her opponent’s throat. The quickest route between two points is a straight line. Already beginning as Xocoyatl steps forward, the haymaker is underway as she thrusts her left hand forward. The key is that her smaller size, shorter route, and her already set form should allow her to strike the man in the throat before his punch even reaches her, despite his greater size and strength.

Finally, a mistake he knew how to exploit. For while Drake had taken the bait, it was with a bit more forethought than one might expect. The trouble with this opponent was the fact she knew what she was doing, more so than Drake. The only way he'd be able to even attempt to win was to lock down her movements so he went with the obvious move. It was a Double Trap if you will. When Xoco attempted to twist her body so her left shoulder was facing Drake, he would suddenly extend his arm around his front, as if throwing a left hook. It would increase her spin so that her left shoulder would be closer to his left shoulder rather than directly facing him.

Drake would also tuck his chin in, so even if Xoco managed to work around his sudden shifting of her position her fingers would not find his throat but his jawbone. Attempting to finger-stab a jawbone would be a good way to break finger-bones. Also, the head is much faster to move than an arm, so if she changed her trajectory to attempt to aim for the eyes Drake could move his head as needed to avoid injury. Of course, his right arm would follow through with it's initial motion whether or not she continued her left-hand attack. It would quickly move around Xoco's body, and the hand would grasp at Drake's left wrist, completing a circle she couldn't escape from due to her clutched wrist and the fact his movement was at the exact same time as her own attack. With both arms Drake would bear-hug Xoco to his chest from a position nearly behind her. Her position was awkward to attempt anything at that point, and even tucking both arms inside the hug she couldn't force him away from her.

It was due to the fact that Xoco was a woman, because women are built differently than men physically speaking. While a man does have mammary glands, they are much tinier than a woman's, and the extra space is filled with muscle. If one were to take a man and woman who would stalemate at arm-wrestling the man would be able to do more pushups, thanks to the extra muscles in his chest area. Trying to force Drake's bear-hug away from Xoco's body was using the same muscle group as a pushup, so even if Xoco and Drake were of completely equal strength Drake would have the advantage purely by anatomy. As it was Drake was stronger, so the advantage was clearly his.

Twisting his torso a little to his left and keeping his legs close together also ensured that Xoco wouldn't be able to aim a kick to his groin, and even if she managed to take out his legs he could simply fall to the ground with her and continue his bear-hug. Drake would keep equal and constant pressure on his bear-hug, never letting up. While she held her breath she could hold his grip at bay, but when she eventually needed to exhale and inhale Drake's hug would squeeze her ribcage tighter and tighter. Like a Boa Constrictor, Drake would eventually crush the fight out of his opponent by suffocation, or if she was persistent by breaking ribs.

“Yield Xoco.”

Xocoyatl couldn’t completely break the grip on her wrist, but it wasn’t a problem. He throws his masculine might against the appendage and only speeds her along her way. The torque on her right shoulder speeds up her left step forward, which in turn speeds up Xocoyatl’s left handed attack. Instinctively her left hand reaches out palm first now to both protect and do damage. When her body was in perfect control the finger jab was the best possible move, now her sudden off-balance throws off that minor detail of her form. A palm can push and strike, the tips of her fingers cannot.

As her left foot plants, slightly off from where she wanted, now aiming a little towards her opponent’s left shoulder. This not only moves her left handed strike inside her opponent’s right arm more, but also creates a slightly cross angle. The taller expanse of her hand increases the strike area, so that as he tucks his chin in towards his chest Xocoyatl’s palm should strike in at the right side of his nose first. The added power of her arm, shoulder, hips, and the torque added by him, is vastly more than enough to break an outcropping like his nose. His added power comes back to haunt him.

The strike should connect just as he attempts to bear hug her, Xocoyatl’s attack having not at all been thrown off by her opponent. While both arms try to ensnare her she should not only break his nose but also push his head back and to the right which should disrupt his vision some and create more space, again delaying his bear-hug attempt. But Xocoyatl does not end there, following through with her turning motion Xocoyatl steps with her right foot back and to the left so that it perpetuates her turn.

Coming around again Xocoyatl aims the back of her right elbow at the side of her opponent’s head just a quarter of a second after her left palm should have struck him in the face. While blood explodes from his nose and the pain rocks his body her right elbow should smash into his temple with even greater force, now built up with more momentum and with a greater swing. Striking through the opponent Xocoyatl again turns so that her right shoulder faces her opponent squarely and her form returns to where it began with the greatest of ease. At this point the double strike to his head should have knocked the man off his feet, or at least several feet backwards if he manages to keep his balance.

It was starting to get downright aggravating trying to fight Xoco, she was able to adapt to situations incredibly fast, to the point she was changing her attack mid-strike in response to Drake's own tactics. Very Dangerous Woman. Still though, Drake was in control of the situation for the most part. Her spin had been sped up by him so he knew what it was going to do to her momentum, and when her sped up left-hand attack swung him to try and break his nose Drake had turned his face so that the palm would strike his cheek-bone on the right side instead, avoiding the broken nose and gaining a bruised cheek instead. Her strike would still turn his face slightly, essentially putting it back facing straight-forward.

There would be pain from such, but much more manageable than having one's nose broken, because a broken nose meant more than pain it meant forced tearing of the eyes, which would be blinding. So, in the moment after striking him Xoco pulled back her right arm, wrenching it from Drake's grasp and continuing her spin on the spot to bring her right elbow around. She had probably been trying to get him in the side of the head, using the stun-time of Drake recovering from a broken nose to catch his temple and deliver a possible knock-out blow. Yet since Drake's face was facing forward her elbow instead caught his forehead, a much more durable (the most durable part of one's cranium actually) spot than a temple. A tightening of the neck muscles to help keep the head rigid and a backwards motion from the torso up would take most of the relative velocity out of the strike, and when it hit Drake's forehead it was, while not unpainful, something he could easily handle. After all, what's face blows compared to a large cat ripping your body to near shreds? He'd lived through the latter, so he'd survive the former.

The potential damage that might have been inflicted being negated for the most part, Drake began his counter-attack. Well, that is to say he continued his initial attack plan that hadn't been slowed enough to give time Xoco time to react to it. His arms, after all, had already been in a position to bear-hug her from before, and her spin and striking hadn't moved them from their position, she was still directly in grabbing range. All his arms had to do was clench together and Xoco was in his grasp despite her attempts to escape it. Her right arm would be up over her shoulder in order to strike Drake in the forehead, and his own right arm would be able to move right under it to press against her chest. Whether her left arm was up or down at the time didn't much matter as his left arm moved to press against her chest at the same height as his other arm. His hands really only needed to touch for his grip to be complete, a finger to touch another and lock. Of course Xoco wouldn't have the time to stop him anymore. Once his grip was in place Drake would simply let all that backwards motion carry both him and her to the ground, his legs wrapping about hers to prevent kicking or keeping her balance. And as he had planned once in his grasp he'd squeeze the fight out of her until she yielded or fell unconscious.

Short of breaking the law of physics it'd be impossible for her to escape his grasp now. Drake was too strong, too fast, and too determined to let such a chance to end the spar in his favor slip away.

Xocoyatl’s left palm struck hard and true her opponent’s head, but in the cheek instead of the nose. She had expected him to be able to protect himself enough to avoid being seriously hurt anyway. And his nose was just too well placed to knock of course so she was glad of the save. Still it cut down the time it would take for him to recover. She did not derail his course and the wreck was just up ahead.

With sudden ferocity Xocoyatl steps forward with her left foot again immediately after her left palm strikes the enemy. She plants her right foot hard as the vixen burst forward. Her palm, having slid off the side of his cheek provides her with perfect leverage. Closing the distance to where her chest brushes his sternum, Xocoyatl’s left arm bends after contact at the elbow. Her forearm is pushed up into the man’s cheek where her palm had ricocheted. As she advances inwards she retreats away from his grip making it fractions of a second longer for his arms to tighten around her body. By then he should have no leverage left.

Her weight behind her acts like a battering ram that should drive his head back as her forearm has only an inch or two to move. At the same time Xocoyatl’s right hand races forward as Drake’s arms close in around her. With his shoulders’ being pushed back from her forearm on his head he should lose power as she gains strength. Xocoyatl aims the space between her index finger and thumb like a guillotine for Drake’s throat during her step forward. As her right foot plants he should be gargling for breath as his windpipe is nearly crushed.

Unfortunately for Drake, her sudden rush forward meant his grab couldn't be completed in time before he was smashed in the face with her left forearm. His head is whipped back under the pressure, and his right leg is forced to take a step back to avoid tipping over. His head whipped back meant he couldn't see, leaving him incredibly open. Bad position, so Drake braced himself to try and push her arm away while his arms would attempt to further push her away.

Yet, because he couldn't see he didn't notice her right hand strike. Just as he braced himself her shaped attack smashed into his throat. While Xoco may have been thinking only to choke Drake to win the bout, his sudden stop changed the amount of force that hit his neck. There was also the fact that such a shape aimed at the throat would hit the carotid arteries harder than the windpipe itself.

So incredibly unfortunately for Drake, his sudden stopping resulted in two things that lead to a third. Firstly, the blood was completely cut off in his arteries, the vessels hit with enough force to instantly knock Drake out. Secondly, the more than expected force didn't "almost" crush his windpipe, it just shattered it, cutting off his breathing. Result? Drake immediately fell to the ground unconscious, and never woke up again. In four minutes he would experience Brain Death, and once that happened reviving him would have no point. Unfortunately it had taken most of the day to reach where they had fought, there was no possible way of getting a doctor in time. Since Xoco wasn't a doctor herself she wouldn't know how to to use Drake's many supplies across the clearing.

She'd killed him. She killed him in a supposedly friendly spar.
