The moment they touched down on Loguetown, Yaksha seemed to be filled with an almost boyish delight. His movements, normally smooth and graceful, turned exaggerated and jaunty, making it look almost like he was dancing down the streets. His typical attire clung to his thin, lithe form, and it made heads turn quite quickly; the memory of the bounty posters tacked up around the town made them turn away almost as fast. Of course, there were a select few who DIDN'T look away. These ones stared with silent disgust, or simple shock. Yaksha had sailed out of their ports nearly six years ago, and this was the first time he had returned. All anyone knew was that there had been stories of him wreaking havoc across the world.

And yet, here he was, looking just as jovial and sociable as he had been the day he left. On that day, he had no shortage of people wishing him well, and quite a few supplies from people in town. They had all thought he would become famous on some other island, but not a one of them imagined he would become famous for blowing up a marine outpost. As he passed by the people, humming softly to himself, his gaze flickered all about, taking in every familiar detail. This was the town he had been born in. This was the town that held memories of the first 30 years of him life. This was the town he'd watched his father...

He stopped for just a moment, shaking his head back and forth as if trying to remember something; or perhaps to forget. He finally opened his eyes, and noticed several people nearby glancing at him as if his very existence was toxic. He winked one eye slowly, and tipped his tophat towards them, which brought an immediate gasp from their lips, as they turned away. Clearly any good feelings they may have had about him were gone now. He chuckled softly to himself, glancing over his shoulder to see Elizza trailing behind by just a few steps, her hand over the tachi strapped to her side. She had worn a kimono for the occasion, and through it was a bright pink color that made the pirate captain think of cherries in bloom, he also couldn't help but notice the neckline was just a little lower than normal; she showed off no small amount of cleavage, causing a fair amount of turned heads herself.

"It's almost funny, Elizza. Don't you think? Loguetown; the town hailed as one of the marine strongholds of the Blues. The town that is supposed to be one of the nicest places for a civilian to live...and the town where Yaksha D. Monevarius was born and raised. I'm sure that word is already getting around of our presence here."

Elizza's lip twitched slightly, but she did her best to maintain a neutral expression, as she spoke in a voice of carefully measured calm. "Yeah, no, that never crossed my mind. I'm just holding onto my sword because I forgot a belt to loop it around. It never so much as crossed my mind that right now there's probably a hundred men grabbing their guns and running out onto the streets."

Yaksha responded with a soft, airy chuckle, and rose a hand slowly. The back of his palm showed off to her, as he began to walk down the streets once more. "Elizza, you really must learn to relax. I have no intention of staying longer than an hour or two. If we can't survive that long, then we'll be absolutely useless as soon as we arrive in the Grand Line. Besides..." He glanced over his shoulders, his eyes glittering like hard diamonds, as he spoke in a hushed hiss.

"Do you really believe these men are anywhere near as bad as whatever they've sent after us for our...debacle at Hitsuji? Come on now, dear. You'll do just fine. I'm certain of it."

Edmund had to admit, Loguetown was full of unique places to go throughout the city. The Cyborg, since hitching a ride on one of the trading ships nearby, had been full of joy and excitement as he looked at the town in wonder. His home blue from the West never had this big of an island on it that he had visited, and just the huge majesty of the town was still glowing in radiance to the young Inventor. Still, the teen tried to keep a level head as he was going from place to place in the large city, trying to soak up all the sights and new things that he could see in a short amount of time. While it didn’t always seem to work out, it was going pretty good so far, seeing as he had seen a lot in the past few days that he had spent here. Heck, he almost forgot to fuel up a few times with the amount of excitement he had had within the city.

At the moment though, he was just deciding to take an easy day to stroll along the island to explore a few more parts of it that he had yet to see the entirety of. And one of those places he had yet to see fully was the outdoor cafes with the little umbrella roofs over the tables so you could dine outside while you ate. And at the current moment, this is where the young kid was at, sitting at a table by himself while munching on some of the cuisine of Loguetown: Namely some chicken sandwiches with some original recipes that tie back to Loguetown’s past, some ‘Sea-King meat’ subs or whatever they were, along with some Coney-dogs that were able to make that restaurant that the Cyborg was at famous. And, do not forget Ed’s favorite drink, Blue Phoenix, to top off the dishes as well.

”Boy, exploring most of Loguetown does give someone like me quite the appetite!” Edmund said to himself, rubbing his cybernetic hands together in anticipation of the food that was in front of him. He was following his motto of trying anything once, and as such he got the sub which supposedly had the Sea-King meat on it, although the teen highly doubted it greatly. Those things, from what he had heard from sailor stories, could possibly take down the strongest of Pirate crews. Hell, even the Marines put stuff on their ships so that way they didn’t have to deal with them. The teen knew they were not to be trifled with, but trying to eat a knock-off of their meat would be an interesting surprise at the least, since you wouldn’t know what to expect with it. Deciding to start with the sub, he took a large bite of it, chewing it slightly as he tried to figure out what it tasted like. But after a few moments he swallowed the sub, before sticking out his tongue in absolute disgust. ”Ugh, that was disgusting! Worst thing I’ve probably eaten in a long time!” The teen said, wiping off his tongue with one of his hands as he set the sub back down onto the table.

”Well, at least I don’t have to eat it again!” Ed said on a happier tone, before starting to grab his drink and flush out the rest of the bad taste from his tongue. Luckily the drink was able to do the trick, and also allowed the Cyborg to fuel up some for a bit. As he set the drink down again, he began to munch on the other delectable food items that he had bought and within a matter of minutes he had both of the food items within the confides of his stomach. ”At least I had those two to make up for it…” Edmund chuckled some, reaching out to his drink so that way he could get another sip of it before sitting back to relax for a few.

Loguetown? Really? of all places they could have possibly decided to visit this had to have been the worst. He remembered this place well, they chased him out last time he was here because he supposedly stole some bread from an orphan. It was a lie! He simply tricked him into giving it to him, it wasn't his fault the child was uneducated. But oh well, the past is behind them, now was the teen's time to take the spotlight in a more positive way, hopefully one without the robbery of bread from an orphan child.

Amelia's head rest lazily back in the closet of a room the two stayed in, a roll soft set of fibers stayed lumped beneath her head as she slept, Nat had covered the room in various designs, the entire left wall covered in strange designs that moved at night as he meditated. The sight of such things at night would scare the blonde girl, but at the same time grabbed her attention many times over as they switched like a kaleidoscope. Sometimes the wall would take on the shape of an animal, and with proper layering began to come off as just a moving head. Nat was getting good, she was afraid to admit it, but each night the animals got more detailed and looked more and more creepy.

She wasn't sure if he even realized what he could do in that meditative state because he'd awake speaking about how he dreamed of the things he had performed. He really needed to get his powers under check, or he might end up hurting himself or his crew. As she snapped out of it and looked around she realized the boy was gone, quickly running out of the room she fled off the ship in search of the Tan teen who was shadowing his captain, Yaksha.

Hi.

We’re out of chicken stock..?! How the fuck can we be out of chicken stock?!

Cross wasn’t happy. Not in the slightest. His kingdom, the kitchen of the ship, had been a good friend to him since being saved by the strange man known as, Yak-… Yaksha; that was the one; weirdass name which Cross had intentionally thought would be hard to slip his mind; how wrong he was. But now, it turned out that his kingdom was missing something; something vital to his co- Well, not vital, but it made things hell of a lot easier than just frying some fish and slapping it on a plate in front of someone with some vegetables; although he could make it awesome, he preferred to vary things. What was the point in cooking for people if it could just be holding a fish over some heat?

For fuck’s sake, I mean it’s not as if I fucking hid it from my-… Huh…” After a couple more seconds of frantic and general cursing the man decided he would look in one of the cupboards inside, where he found a pot, which inside was a watery, golden liquid. “That’s not even… FUCK!” Hitting his own head with the palm of his hand, Cross began to incoherently curse at his own stupidity as he hauled the pot up onto one of the sideboards; somewhat of a struggle with the cramped conditions provided by the ship’s kitchen. But he did it, and after tasting it and making a face at the rather strange feeling to eating cold chicken stock, confirmed that it was indeed what he had been looking for. Brushing his hair back, he came to the conclusion that it must have just been his lack of knowledge of the ship; rather than his own stupidity.

He had shut himself inside of the ship’s kitchen, even after feeling that the ship had docked; where, he had no clue. He wanted to prepare some lunch for the crew, in case they got hungry, but which also could be left as dinner for that night if he was… Otherwise disposed. A simple, yet tasty dish consisting of seagull breast, fried off accompanied by a risotto and some asparagus; which Cross absolutely refused to eat himself for a reason even unknown to him. Seasoning the breasts were simple, but the risotto was another matter; his passion for food was nagging at him to make it, but the ties of curiosity at the docking were pulling, as well as the thoughts that it would be futile were overpowering.

He decided he’d leave instructions for anyone left on the ship who wanted it. After some searching, metallic clinking as he thrashed about in the kitchen, as well as the stream of cursing which was becoming fairly trademark of the man, he managed to find something which he could make into a note for the others, Greaseproof paper and a piece of coal fashioned into a tubular design were his weapons of choice, and soon enough he was scribbling away, whilst making sure the food was being cooked.
The signature is quite fancy

If you want the food… Come find me…

~Cross

Content with his message to anyone on board, he finally took it upon himself to exit the kitchen into a blaze of sunshine and sea-salty glory, only befitting of the young, deluded, cook which was Cross. The sun caught him off guard for a fraction of a second; leading him to bring an arm up to halt its piercing rays from catching his eyes further; yet the random splodges of colour in his vision hinted that he had lost the battle. But he would not lose the war! Flipping the sun off, he shook his head and looked down at the harbour which greeted him. Never seen it before in his life. Good. Perhaps he could find something which he could cook with… Perhaps even a Duskoi Panda emporium where he could buy a selection of new suits! Thoughts crowded the man, and a childish grin brimming with glee spread across his face. This would be fun!

Fuck yeah, placeIdon’tevenknowwhere! Time for you to whore your wares out to me like a bitch in heat!” Turning a few heads from the random spouting of the strange man coupled with the ship which Yaksha had emerged from earlier, he clearly gave quite the first impressions to the poor, poor people. But this was just the start.

Yaksha hadn't been paying too much attention to the people passing by anymore; most of their reactions had turned bland and predictable, making it easy to imagine what was going through their heads. A select few, the rarest people, gave no reaction at all. Those were the ones Yaksha truly enjoyed; the people he could worm his way into, the people he could change in such enormous ways with such little things. It always brought a smile to his face. "Elizza, is Nat still with us? I know he hasn't been feeling well lately."

There was a moment's silence, and Elizza shoved Nat forward so that he was standing just beside the captain. "Yeah. I would've thought you could tell, what with him dragging that damn hammer all over the place." She was still glancing over her shoulder constantly, ready to strike as soon as anyone on the island started to get vocal about their feelings regarding these three. "Why are we here, anyways? I know you grew up here, but it's marine central. We're screwed if we stay here."

Yaksha didn't even respond to her query, instead simply glancing down to Nat and speaking in a soft tone of amusement. "Watch closely, Nat. This trick used to be a favorite of my father's; we'd spend hours just walking around doing it." He craned his head down, looking uncharacteristically ashamed, as he continued to walk down the street. He bumped into a man in a charcoal gray business suit, murmuring apologies as he continued along. The well-dressed man glanced over his shoulder, clearly trying to get a good look at the one who had bumped into him, but with the first step he took, he toppled to the ground; somehow, his shoelaces had been tied together in a single moment.

Elizza began to laugh despite herself, her hand drifting away from her sword for a second, as she placed it on her captain's shoulder. "Seems like your dad would've been my kinda guy. What happened to him?"

"He's dead, I'm afraid. A story for another time. For now, there's someone I've been meaning to meet up with. I've got to make sure everything's in order before we do anything else. They know who we are now, so we have to make sure we're not giving them anything more than necessary." He glanced from building to building, finally stopping at what looked like a perfectly normal patch of wall. One hand snaked across it, pressing against a seam so small, none of the others would've noticed. The patch of stone swung open easily, and Yaksha was already slipping inside as he spoke. "You'd best hurry, before people look this way. Our friend likes his privacy."

Sitting back in his chair, Edmund looked around at everything that was walking by in the street. It seemed to be an almost peaceful day in the large city. As the teenager looked into the crowd, his sunglasses covering up his face, he seemed to soak in all of the joy and happiness that was taking place on the street around him. As the Inventor turned his head slightly though, someone much taller than most of the people around him started walking through the crowd, along with having a gang of people behind him, one even holding a sword and another a hammer it looked like. A few people in the crowd seemed to try and stay out of his way, but he didn’t seem to mind at all. The woman behind him he talked too briefly, along with some of the other people it looked like. Sitting up slightly, the teen couldn’t help but feel like he had seen the man’s face somewhere on his journey, maybe in a magazine or something similar? He couldn’t place it, but he was definitely having his interest peaked at the very moment.

”Well, you only live once, and I’m curious to find out more about that man,” he said, standing up as his hand grabbed his bag, flipping it over his shoulder. Stepping away from the table he was seated at moments ago, he started stepping into the crowd to see if he could somehow follow after the group of people in front of him, easily being noticed by the almost giant in front of them leading them onward into the city. Pushing his sunglasses up further onto his face and tilting his head down some, he tried to go a bit unnoticed as he walked, finally watching the man stop along one of the buildings on the side of the street. Acting like he had to go somewhere across the street, he took off to a building across from where the man and the others were stopping at, trying to stay in the shadows of the alleyway he was in so that he would be less likely to be seen.

Feeling like a spy, he watched the tall man touch the side of a building with one of his fingers. Suddenly, the wall of bricks seemed to split open like a mouth! The man was already slipping inside as it was opening, and with the other people wanting to enter it made it difficult for Edmund to get inside. Maybe he could find out how to open it when it closed? Maybe, maybe not. If the man had a devil fruit that allowed this kind of stuff to happen, it’d make it pretty hard to get inside. If the street was less crowded, then the Inventor guessed he could use his drill to get inside, but the thoughts of that were very unlikely of happening.

The ship that entered port now was less a ship than a collection of planks, boards and a mast made from a palm tree, all held together with nails and ropes, perhaps pure willpower of it's rider keeping it from falling to pieces. It's rider didn't even bother docking the boat as it impacted the wooden dock, the man hopping up onto the dock and as soon as he exited the boat, it slipped into the water. The palm-tree mast sank into the depths slowly, bubbles rising as if to scream 'Whyyyy?!' before it sunk out of sight and mind. With it out of the way, it's rider stood on the dock and groaned, loudly, as he hefted the large canvas bag over his shoulder. Days of drifting in that boat hadn't done much for his body...

Stepping off the dock and into the crowds, Kragen Larish planted his feet on the first firm stone he'd touched in months. Drifting from one place to another, Kragen's life since Mirrorball had been quite empty and it didn't exactly feel real for a few seconds, the man lifting his bleary eyes skyward and the sun blasted into them harshly. His stomach turned and he lifted his free hand over his eyes, ignoring the crowd around him as he let his body settle. He was still recovering from the hangover from this morning and it wasn't exactly going down quick.

Once it passed, or the majority of it, Kragen started walking deeper down the street, pulling his hand down off his face. His height carried him over the majority of the population and to make it worse, his ragged cowboy hat and long, threadbare duster coat gave him a definite stand out appearance. If it wasn't for the light blond beard and mustache currently covering his face, as well as the dark circles around his eyes and bloodshot look in them, he might actually look imposing. As it was, he looked pretty much like a drifter. His clothing was clean, at least.

After a few minutes of walking, Kragen walked past a cafe and though he didn't notice it, someone stepped in behind him. He didn't see the wall open at first and when he did, he dismissed it immediately. He had gotten used to seeing things while under the influence of these hangovers and as he stopped, pulling his sack over his shoulder to go for his bottle of whiskey, he saw someone walk past him. He didn't think much of it, until he noticed that person was also watching the wall opening and the people entering it...

"...Is that real?"

Cross could already tell as soon as he had stepped of the boat that this place would harbour well No pun intended. for him and his awesomely awesome self. The streets were full of people; there were shops dotted around; and just the continuous buzz of civilisation which hung around the air always served as a sense of salvation to anyone who had spent long periods out on the open sea. Naturally, this was no different for Cross as he erratically moved around the area just outside of the docks; moving from window to the next; taking it upon himself to spy inside of the establishment and observe what it was that they had inside; as well as making his audible thoughts well known to anyone in close proximity. Though nothing showed any promise for the first stem of his journey, the chef remained confident about what wonders he could encounter in this place.

He was somewhat torn in what he wished to search for at that moment in time. The thought of eating a meal cooked by someone who wasn’t himself was a tantalising prospect, but at the same time, as was the wish to go and purchase himself some new and fancy clothing; maybe even stock up his kingdom with more cooking supplies. There was even the tiniest, insignificant thought of actively searching out anyone who was on the ship; surely they would be doing something out of the ordinary of something which involved fighting and/or killing things. But they were the last choice in the order of priorities in the mind of the young chef; if he came across them, maybe he’d come along. But there were other, much, much more pressing ideals in his mind.

His progress up the street was at the start slow as he decided to look in every window closeby. But fortunately for any patron of any shops or windowed buildings further up the street were saved from Cross’s audible ravings and insults of their wares. He had decided his progress was too slow and looking in every single window wasn’t going to get him far; even if it did mean missing the chance of finding an awesome yet secret food supplier who could stock him with the best of ingredients to last him a series of months on end. Or a small and secretive tailor who could sell and/or make high-tier suits for half the normal prices. The thoughts were happy ones for the chef, and it was reflected in the gleam of glee which was presented in the man’s eyes; although, oddly enough, his face plastered into a sulky scowl; its reason for existence even unknown to the wearer itself.

After turning his head to follow the path of a semi-attractive woman, Cross soon found a new problem arising as he levelled his head back to the street in front: A small rumble. Matched with a slight sense of nausea, which had come in a fraction of a second; the ties of hunger were beginning to nag on the man’s mortal body. Usually he was an advocate of eating breakfast and urged others to do the same. However, with the whole chicken stock scenario matched with the arrival at a new place to explore, the man’s excitement and curiosity had overridden any thoughts of eating, and a new plan began to formulate in his mind, pushing the others to the back. He needed to eat. Just a quick meal, then he could resume his searching for something productive to do.

His search for a restaurant or something along the lines soon led him to a small café a small walk’s away from the ship. Though his Captain was in sight, the chef was too preoccupied with not only making ground to the place of salvation, but his attention had been caught by some tall cowboy looking guy. After a couple of seconds of mentally gauging him, Cross sniffed in amusement, “Homo.

"Alright, and now we just have to...carefully now, can't let it slip..."

The dark hallway slowly opened up to a desk, where a single man was sitting, holding a pen in his hand. He was writing on a scrap of paper slowly, with great care. As soon as he finished, he turned, showing no surprise at Yaksha's presence; indeed, there was only a scowl on his face, as if he had taken a bite of something rotten. "I told you it'd be ready next week. AND I told you not to come in person."

"Relax, Reg. Even if anyone did see me come in here, they won't figure out the way in for some time. It even takes ME a while to get it to open." He was already walking past the man, reaching out to pluck what he'd been working on. He glanced down at it, and was surprised to see that it was a note from the local Captain. "I'm impressed, Reg. I don't think the Captain himself could tell this was forged."

"Yeah, but you could; so tell me. Was it the paper? The watercolors? I was pretty damn proud of this one."

"I know it's a fake because you made it, Reg. If I hadn't walked in on it, even I'd be duped." He pocketed the letter absentmindedly, barely noticing the man's scowl deepen. "I made that for a reason, you know."

"Yes, and now you made it for me. I'm sure we can find it in our hearts to reimburse you whatever you'd have lost. Isn't that right, Elizza?"

"She's here? I didn't even notice!"

Reg turned from his seat, almost instantly spotting Elizza, glancing down at him with murder in her eyes. His hair was stark white, only barely covering his bald dome, and his own watering eyes combined with his pale skin to make him look like he hadn't ever stepped outside. "How are you doing, dear? Still having fun being a pirate?"

"I'd be having more fun if I didn't have to keep an eye on you, Reg. I still remember what happened last time I was here."

Reg rose his hands apologetically at this, making a wheezing laugh that quickly devolved into coughs. Yaksha was already rifling through the other papers on the desk, finally pulling up several sheafs of paper. "And these are...?"

"Yeah, yeah, all the info you wanted. It's completely insane, but I guess if it's you, you'd want it for a reason."

"Just curiosity, Reg. Worry no longer; it's out of your hands, now." He drew a stack of beli marks, each marked as nearly 100,000; in all, there were 20.

"And now...let's get the toy set out, Elizza. Time to change faces..."

"Great. I just hope this time it doesn't end in me getting arrested."

Just as Edmund was trying to focus on keeping the large man in his site to see him and the people around him go more into the hidden part of the wall, someone’s voice seemed to materialize around the Cyborg’s ear. The teen, who had originally been focusing so much on the weird people that he was watching, seemed to almost jump out of his cybernetic skin, as he leapt into the air about a foot or so before landing on his behind. ”Dang, that really hurt…” The teenage boy whined to himself, not really feeling any sort of pain but feeling the urge to say that there was pain nonetheless. The teen’s sunglasses were almost falling off of his face whoever, as he looked to see who had been the one with the voice that seemed to appear out of nowhere.

The voice’s person, from what he could assume, looked like someone straight out of the Red Sand Island comics that he used to read as a kid. A cowboy was standing there, and although he was looking like he had been awake for hours on end, the mental image of a cowboy still seemed to match that of the man standing near him. Just before the question actually registered in the teen’s head, he looked across the street to see if the people were still there, and to his disappointment they weren’t. ”Dammit!” Edmund said somewhat loudly, seemingly disappointed to see that the people across the street were now inside the building with the teen not knowing how to get inside himself.

”I take it you saw that too, right?” Edmund asked the cowboy near him. Standing up, he pushed the sunglasses back onto his face as he still looked across the street. ”I wonder how hard it would be to open up that wall…” He muttered to himself, wondering what he would do to open it.
