"This is a legitimate intimidation technique... I'll kick off when these fellas attack you." Henri remarked, looking for support from the thugs, but unfortunately for him they didn't particularly seem to attune to his cause... "This badass buisiness is harder than it looks... Am I right fellas?" The teen's stomach grumbled again, he was begining to get the feeling that it wouldnt be satisfied any time soon. You could cut the atmosphere in the cafe with a knife... People just stood there for a while, spinning out out in the middle of the cafe, like idiots as the two members of staff argued... His eyes lit up when he heard his home town mentioned. "W-water seven..?" He froze, a glimmer of hope lighting up inside him... That's where he was from... Did this guy know where his father was? "Woah... Freak alert..." Henri made a mental note not to attempt to stomp this one to death, the kid he'd robbed earlier and used his penny change to buy food. What was he even doing here anyway? It wasn't exactly the kind of cafe Kids hung around in twice...The kid almost certainly had some kind of hero complex, the spiked hair and ridiculous ability said it all. He shook his head, ready to talk to the pianist. He needed to find out if he knew anything about where his father was, no plan formed in his head, he'd just go for it. He paused, looking around. For somebody who didn't want to attact a lot of attention to himself he wasn't doing a particularly good job of it. "In for a penny, in for a pound... Find another kid to throw around... You can't hurt this one." He sighed, waving goodbye to the anarchists and following the pianist into the kitchen. "You said you were from water seven, when was the last time you were there?" He had just been trying to do the right thing, like all good action heroes and other cool guys who didn't look at explosions. He expected some drawn out speech or some evil saying, perhaps a snide remark that would alert his as to who was the bad guy, instead he was treated like a child tugged by the ear and then dismissed. As his ear snapped back into place his shoulders hunched down with disappointment, this was not the way he expected things to be. He watched as the man and the boy who had beat him in the card game made their way toward the back. "Dammit." he called out angrily as he lifted himself up from the ground, he knew that he couldn't be mad as it seemed that his tackle had at least ended the dispute before it began. He turned toward the orange haired man with a raised brow, it was indeed the anarchist and it was both surprising and unnerving that a man who would deliver a tirade about rebellion could sit so punctually and drink his tea. His amber eyes stayed focused on the man who was walking out, while his hand was wrapped around a cup that had apparently been on the table before the incident. The pirates at the door kept their eyes locked on him and studied his every gesture, the subtle rise and sinking of his chest, the slight turn of his head while he focused on a target, their eyes were not filled with admiration, but rather tension. They were anxious anxious to get back at the rubber kid for flooring their companion anxious to get out of this place, and anxious to riot and rebel as the man had just spoke of outside. His demeanor was completely composed, he turned his head toward the waitress who the man was talking to, either he held some authority with her or he held authority within the building, either way it was irrelevant to him. He slid up out of his chair and casually walked toward the kitchen as if the incident had not occurred leaving only Gou, his men and the scared occupants of the cafe in his wake. "Get em." the pirates took the orange haired mans departure into the kitchen as a sign to take action, perhaps they wouldn't do so with him in the area. Two men charged toward the red haired boy who stood dumbfounded by the lack of thanks and lack of action that had taken place. He was pelted from the side and felt his entire torso push in on itself. His body was sent flying into a table and the cafe was once again in an uproar, "Get out ! Get out!" the shop owner shouted toward the men who were causing chaos, but they maintained their bravado and proceeded to smash there feet into the boys face. |

Dwayne was rubbing the brdige of his nose at the height of his eyes as he walked into the kitchen. Ella was putting a dish on her plate and was about to walk out as she noticed Dwayne was here too. "Hhmm? Dwayne what are you-". Dwayne inturruped her. "Please Ella, I got a few things to say so listen closely. Things are gonna get crazy here soon enough. The Pirates said they wouldn't do anything but I'm not stupid. He woudln't follow me into this place if he didn't want anything from me... So I want you to be prepared. I don't want you to freak out at the slightest change of events like you did earlier today...". He then went on to grab a bottle of whiskey and opened it. Taking a good chug he flinched back a little but corrected himself and kept standing. Ella had a scared look on her face but nodded and left the kitchen almost bumping into the kid that had placed an order. "Oh sir... Your order and a complementary drink on the house!" she said with a smile as they stood in the doorway. "I'll leave it at your table!" she said with a nod and smile. She acted a little on this part since she was a little afraid of the things that were about to happen. Dwayne rarely spoke up like that and not to mention he consumed a nice amount of alcohol in front of her. He normally only did that behind her back to avoid a scolding. Something was off for sure... While Ella served the customers (other then the pirates of course she noticed a lot of people heading for the kitchen. A Boy with spiky hair and a shady orange haired man... Dwayne could handle 2 kids, and he couldn't kill them off even in a bad mood... Back in the kitchen Dwayne was drinking form the bottle and was already more then halfway trough it. Suddenly a crack was heard outside of tables breaking and whatnot. "Hey chef... The shop's bieng trashed..." Dwayne said to the cook and the man ran out quikly to see what was going on. Dwayne had no intrest in participating in this madness and kept drinking. He leaned against the kitchen counter and took a good gulp fromt he bottle now and then. As the chef left, he noticed the Con-kid was still there. He asked a question about Water 7... "To be frank, kid... I never mentioned Water 7... It was my eager associate Elleanore Clarke. And before I answer your question, let's exchange formalities properly hhm? My name is Dwayne Walker, Pianist and Card player by trade.". Dwayne made a bow. He wasn't in the slightest drunk eventough three quarters of the bottle had just been consumed by him. He set himself against hte counter again and proceded to answer the question. "Well... As for your father I hardly believe I knew him. If I did know him he'd be dead. I have this terrible luck... A Long story short. I left Water 7 about 5 or 6 years ago because everyone I knew died. Since then I've been traveling these blues so I'm sorry if I can't be of any assistance..." he said and drained the remains of the bottle. The orange haired man joined them as he put the bottle on the counter. Dwayne quikly drew his gun on the man. "The kitchen is off limits... What do you want this time... Complements to the chef?" Dwayne asked as he gripped the flintlock pistol more tightly. Ella notice the man and the boy from before walk into the kitchen but the boy behind them got tackled by two men into another table. Ella had just emptied her plate and ran over to check up on the boy. "Are you alright?!?" she asked as she got down to him. He had been stomped in the face but seemed fine... The kicks are still shown on his face but he seemed fine. "Who do you think you are! Do you have any morals whats-o-ever?!?" she said as she got up. She made a dash for one of the men and smacked her waitress plate onto his head. Edited by GlasgowSmiley, Feb 9 2011, 02:00 PM.

(I don't have time to post... Just skip me and I'll edit this one later, Henri would've introduced himself, expressed thanks for the meal, expressed sympathy for Dwayne's history and become hostile towards the anarcist. I've got exams and stuff coming up. Sorry about all this... =l I'll get enthusuastic in about two days.) Edited by Encore, Jan 26 2011, 11:21 AM.

This had been the first time in a long time that Gou had been beaten by anyone. Though he'd like to believe like he was strong enough to handle himself, the fruit had only done enough to make him a human punching bag. His face had been flattened by the steps, but like rising dough had quickly reformed from it's squished in state. The men were pulling back as a waitress neared it seemed they were either satisfied with what they had done to the boy's face or had given up from the fact her wasn't hurt by their efforts. The waitress was a feisty one she had even taken arms against the men who towered over her. Gou sat there and watched as a plate smashed down on the head of one of the men and shattered into several pieces. The man seemed dazed, but had not fallen from the smash like he had expected him to. It seemed this woman had a bravery that matched his own and for that he felt the need to help. He hopped to his feet and thrust his fist toward the man. Though there was a wide gap between his fist and the man his arm began to stretch the distance. His fist sailed forward like a torpedo rapidly gaining on the sub that was his head. But even in the short distance that it had to clear he felt his arm going limp. It fell to the mans foot by the time it had reached his body and that was something he had not wanted. Rather then think about what had not happened he chose to work with what did. His hand wrapped around the mans ankles and quickly sent him to his face. As his hands snapped back into place the man had been dragged back with them. He smirked as he sent his knee toward the pirates face hoping that the waitress was good enough to handle herself, because if she wasn't he'd have to save the poor damsel in distress and from her temper it didn't seem like the best thing to do. The crashing of tables was complimented by the crashing of glass, these sounds were enough to let the orange haired boy know that a brawl had started upon his departure, he sighed as his reputation would once again be smudged by idiotic barbarians who couldn't grasp a concept and yet chose to side with it. He stared at the two who seemed to be chatting it up and smiled as they discussed death and cards. "I didn't eat." he said to Dwayne's remark it was obvious that the man didn't like him, but from his experience enemies were always the allies. He sighed and leaned against the wall ignoring the fact that he had just been told the kitchen was off limits after all it seemed like the other boy wasn't given the same message as he was upon entry. "If you were to walk into my restaurant I would show you a bit more hospitality." the reason why he was being treated in such a way was obvious, many saw anarchy as a bringer of chaos opposed to a means to freedom. He was well aware that the one who preached such things would also be labeled with the same negative associations. The pistol pointing at him was beginning to be more familiar then any other part of the man, "I'm going to call you Flint." he said in the same way he would when talking to a puppy in a endearing yet condescending way. He was not frightened, if he were to be shot for such a trivial thing as trespassing then he must have been wrong about the reason why the man seemed so unsociable to begin with. |

Ella's plate shattered into tiny little peices. The pieces swere shining a little in the dimmed lights at the cafe. As she landed on her feet again. the man semed a bit dazed from the hit. "Crap..." Ella made a run for the Piano knocking over some empty chairs in the process. The man regained his snenses and went after her like a bull for a red cloth. he was faster then her but the chairs she had tossed behind her path helped her to maintain a distance. She jumped for the stagelike steup and hid behind the big black wingpiano. It was classic and had it's top open for some better acoustics. "Where did I hide it... Ah, there it is!" the girl shouted as she pulled out a baseballbat from inside the piano. "Pfffffff! Dwayne complained it would only mess up the tuning... she said as she swung it and gripped it with to hands as she held it like she was about to hit a homerun. The man, still struggling for his balance, was now at the piano area. Yet he failed to notice to little change in height and tripped over it. as he was stumbling towards the piano Ella swung her bat at the mans back, wich was enough to tackle him into the piano. As the man fell in the piano it colsed and slammed his body with the heavy cover. A distinct false chord was heard as the man's legs stopped moving. It seemed the hit was enough to knock him out. Ella raised the bat towards the ceiling and the layed it on her schoulder as a victory pose of some sorts. "I believe this concert is over." she said with a smirk smile. She was happy inside since it felt like she was some kind of hero from the movies doing their cheesy but awesome punchline. She put up a smile from one ear to the other. But the she realised there was still the boy to deal with. She walked over to him only to notice he had beat up. "Woah... You beat him up in one hit! Nice job! My name's Ella." she said as she smiled at the boy with the bat behind her back. The fight wasn't over however since three more men remained... the made their way trough the door and were cracking their knuckles, preparing for a fight. "Honestly... Three burly men on a kid and a girl? No wonder you guys gave Dwayne the creeps... Hey let's team up!" she said as she raised her bat like a sword and gripped it tightly with both hands. Meanwhile the kitchen was becoming a small stand-off. Dwayne had his gun pointed at the oranged haired anarchist who was just looking down on him. Dwayne felt angered and somewhat abused. Why didn't he just shoot him in the first place? Then all of this wouldn't have happened. The man even gave him a silly nickname. "The name I want to call you isn't suitable for a boy his age to be hearing." Dwayne said but didn't lower his grip. "What do you want from me?" he was really getting tired of this condescending tone of his. What made the Faker superior over him? Why was he so intressted in him in the first place? The questions plagued his mind untill he heard a loud false piano sound. He rushed to the doorway and noticed Ella doing her victory pose and was a bit relieved she was okay. Tough he didn't let her know, she was the only reason to live for him. Perhaps music was another but without her he would hardly enjoy it. "If your men even lay a finger on Ella... I swear to this bloody hell of life I have been living that I will hunt you down and murder everyone responsible for it." he said as he pointed his gun at him again. His hand was trembling a bit now, tough it weren't the nerves but the anger that was rushing adreniline trough his blood. He pointed down quikly and fired a bullet for the man's foot. Dwayne could be considered a game hunter and at point blank he would never miss. "Let that be a warning... Now what do you want and without any condescending talk this time or the next one is in your Crown Jewels..." Dwayne said as he reloaded the gun. Edited by GlasgowSmiley, Feb 9 2011, 02:44 PM.

The man's head winced as the searing pain of hot metal pierced through his skin, "Aughh." he shouted as he gulped in a large wad of air in an attempt to silence his shouts, despite his pain he did his best to maintain the same levelheadedness he had before. He clenched his hands into fist and opened his eyes which had been firmly shut as soon as the bullet touched him. "Listen." he said while sucking in air most likely in an attempt to hold back harsh words. His tone had changed a bit, it sounded mixed with a glint of rage, but he was more focused on getting his point across then expressing how it felt to be shot at, from point blank range. "Those men are not my men, if you are worried about this Elly or whomever she is why are you shooting me and not them? I understand you have conflicting ideals with my views, and that's fine, but do we have to slump down to acting like common criminals because a group of idiots want to follow me around." He dug his fingernails into the skin of his palm, he had not expected their little conversation to escalate this far, but sadly it had. He could not, or rather did not want to deal with the man with the gun in any way either then verbally, but the thought of slamming his head into a few kitchen utensils crossed his mind. Despite being having just been shot and even with his anger pouring into them, his words maintained the same condescending and uppity ring it had before, for a man in pain he was either unmoving, or oblivious to it. He held his head up and made sure to lock his gaze on the man he was talking to, if anything Colt had definitely gotten his attention, even if it wasn't for the reasons he had initially intended. Meanwhile outside the boy looked at the girl who held the bat on her shoulder like many the comic character before her. He could hear a little fanfare ringing in his head as he watched her defeat the giant man with a finesse that put his actions to shame. He sighed and smiled as she approached him,"I'm Gou" he said with his mouth stretching into an even wider grin then it had been. Teaming up sounded good and he had no problem doing it, but he wanted to look cool, and cool guys just nodded and got to business. He tilted his body toward the three remaining people, he was sure he could probably handle them on his own, after all none of them had swords. He raised his hand to his nose and wiped to the left before smirking and staring at the man on the right. "I've got that one." he said as he pointed to the guy and rushed without hesitation or confirmation that the girl had actually heard what he said. He bent his and back and prepared to send a punch toward the mans face, but despite his size his speed put young Gou's to shame. By the time the boy had readied his hand to punch the man had already sent an elbow torpedoing to the boy's face. Gou fell back and landed hard on the floor, he was sure that if it weren't for his anatomy he'd probably have broken a few bones from that. "Slimy rubber bastard." the man said as he spat in the boy's direction and pulled out a small knife from a fold of his sash. Gou's eyes spread wide open and stretched almost as far as his skin had. "Dammit." he said as he pulled back his leg and bent it in so that his knee was almost touching his waist. He kicked up sending the force down to the base of his feet and stretched it out a bit so that it would go toward his crotch. The distance was a small one, and he was sure that even with his crappy use of his abilities the hit would at least land. |

Dwayne let out a sigh... "Judge a man by the company he keeps. I wouldn't care less wether they are your men or not. They are your entourage. Ergo you are responisble for their actions. Besides I hate the tone you make." Dwayne said as he waived his hands into a wondering position and lifted his schoulders a bit. The man felt the shot that's for sure. It was written all over his face. he seemed agitated but didn't really change his tone. It had anger painted within now and Dwayne noticed him forming a fist. "You are quite talkative for a man who's just been shot. My ideals are hardly clashing with anarchy. The World Goverment hasn't helped me a yoctagram when I needed protection... If they stepped in then I wouldn't be here playing piano in a café for a living. Maybe if I didn't have Ella as a friend, I would have joined your cause. But right now your ideal is a doorway for me losing what I care for the most..." Dwayne took a step back and streched his arms wide as if he was a target for an airstrike. "You want to hit on me as payback? Fine, I couldn't care less. But right now I'm gonna go out there and end this brawl for the safety of those I care about.". Dwayne turned around and went out of the kitchen leaving the man there. The strike was no bluff as Dwayne would just turn the other cheek after that. He didn't have quite much to live for but he would not let some slimeball who juggles words and his entourage of goons and baboons hurt her... As he walked out of the kitchen he yelled "Get down!" and drew his pistols. Ella was pumped after her lucky win on the goon from before and was about to go along with Gou as she heard Dwayne shouting. She looked back and noticed him running trough the small café. Insitead of getting down she went to the right side. Dwayne was rushing for the third guy and it seemed as if he was going for a point blank shot. Dwayne ran untill he was about 5 meters ahead of the man and fired both pistols at once at the man's chest. the shots hit perfeclty at that range. The man had some trouble standing up and was grasping for air. He fell down on his back with two smoking holesin his chest as he grasped for his last breath. "Rest in Peace... Anyone else feeli like beating up a kid and a lady?" Dwayne was serious and he shot to kill. While he said that he spinned his guns around and reloaded in a fluid motion. Ella was watching Dwayne and Blushed a little as he siad the word "lady". He never called her that before and it felt werid coming from him. the last availble man had sneaked up to her and landed a straight punch in her stomach. "And what now, tough guy?". The goon Was taunting Dwayne and sadly it worked. Dwayne almost snapped as he fired his gun again at the man. The shot went off and only grazed the man's left schoulder. The bullet was sent flying to the other side of the café where they boy was fighting. The goon laughed his wound off and charged for Dwayne only to notice something making him trip. Ella had grabbed his legs after the punch and made him trip. "Shoot again!" she yelled as she closed her eyes preparing for the distinct boom shot of Dwayne's flintlocks. the man was struggling to get free but his time had come aswel. "Send my regards to Mister Flügelhorn... He schould be happy to see me so miserable... Dwayne whipsered to the man as put a bullet trough his head. Shooting a man when he's down isn't the best moral creed but he asked for it. Dwayne spun his guns again and reloaded them while he checked over to how the boy was doing. Techs used

His hands were not made for fighting, that was something he had decided a long time ago, his hands were far to soft to be put to toil. He watched as the man gave him the get go to punch him, but his intentions weren't to harm the man despite the shot that was still lodged in his foot. He remained silent as the man walked off to kill the men, he stil had things to say, but he found it was pointless talking to a person who was walking away without making an ass out of himself. The sound of two shots echoed off through the kitchen doors, if there was no reason to stay where he was he now had one. The orange haired boy sat down and looked up at the kid who was still in the kitchen, he had become silent and it bothered him, he shrugged it off and decided to ponder his next move. With his back still pressed on the ground Gou's leg flew toward the pirates crotch. The man no matter how big he was toppled like many others before him. His hands came down to his inner thighs and his eyes bulged as if they were being pulled out of their sockets. A smile landed on the boy's face as he took the oppurtunity to get up. He could deal with the stab wound later, but for now he had to deal with the man who caused it. He heard the sound of two guns being fired simeltaneously and he hesitated, he was all for a bar fight, but murder was another thing entirely. The boy's concept of right and wrong were rather fickle, he had pegged the pirates as the bad guys as they would start a fight with a lady and wouldn't even let him enter the place, but the card playing rogue who was also a talented pianist had commited a sin and a crime that none of the men had done in front of him. His focus laid on the still body of the first man who was slumped on the floor. The man in front of him had already recovered and in a fit of rage he grasped his knife and sent it toward the boy's jaw. The knife jammed into his face and sent with it a hot flash of pain, "Auugh!" he shouted on instinct. His head jerked to the right while he raised his hand to try and pry the blade from his cheek. A stray bullet sailed through the air and landed on the boy's face, instead of piercing his skin it ricochetted toward the knife weilding pirate in front of him sending a hole through his eyes and a splash of red on Gou's face. For that breif second his pain was no longer important, the trickle of blood on his face had been enough to send the boy into a nearly traumatized state. His eyes were bulging as he watched the man who held the flintlock pistol coming toward him, he had two options run or fight. He chose neither. He stayed locked in the same position, though he was aware that the man's bullets would have no affect on him he was far to frightened to remember this, what he saw in front of him was not a hero , but a cold blooded murderer. His eyes shifted toward Elia who had gotten up with him, unlike him she seemed perfectly fine, at least not affected as much as he was. The man's body dropped and his grip on the knife quickly loosened as his body hit the floor. Gou raised his hand and pulled the blade from his cheek revealing only a small hole with crimson bile pouring from it. He held the blade and shivered staring at the man with hopes that he would not send a bullet toward him, "Stay back!?" he yelled as he pointed the knife in his direction he would have nothing to do with murderers. |

As the boy raised a knife against Dwayne, The situation completely changed... For the worse. Gou was bleeding from his face and seemed terrified at the look of Dwayne. He did just murder 2 men in cold blood... Why schouldn't he? It was us or them, right? But it in the end it was a boy with more troubles then Dwayne could probably imagine. His strange body and that ability to strech out must have made a freak in the general public's eyes. It must have been hard for the guy... But then again Dwayne's life wasn't all that peachy aswel... He put the guns in their holsters and took a step back towards Ella. "Okay... I put the guns away... Now relax, I'm not here to harm you I'm here to help you. We should get you to a doctor as fast as possible...". Dwayne did his best to sound as soothing and friendlly as possible. if the Boy didn't get imediate medical attention he could die. Well Bleeding out took awhile but when a knife was stabbed in your face you schouldn't push yourself. "I'm going to go over to the piano to get my jacket and hat so we can go and see a doctor about that wound of your's okay?" Dwayne slowly walked towards the paino and grabbed his jacket. He put it on along with his fedora hat. "Shall we get going?" Ella stood amazed. With her hands in font of her mooth she was a bit worried for the boy named Gou. She was a bit hurt herself, but it wasn't anything all to serious. It hurt more on the moment itself but the boy was acting very strange... Why would he raise a knife against the peole who just helped him? Strange people sure walked this globe but right now this boy needed some help. "Gou, we don't want to hurt you..." she said as Dwayne came back next to her. "It's best for your health..." Dwayne saw he wouldn't go just like that. It was the terror of murder that schocked him in the first place so why would he go with such Murderers like them? Dwayne slwly walked forward again and raised his hands in the air. "I'm gonna reach for my guns now. I'm going to put them on the floor. If I even try to kill you you can just shoot me, ok? But promise me you won't hurt Ella...". Dwayne then slowly reached for his guns and put them on the floor. He started walking backwards again. "Now... How about a doctor?" |

Adreneline is one of the best pain killers, and fear the best tool for distraction. The blood running down the side of his face seemed neigh none existant. He clutched the blade tighter and his hand continued to shake as he stared at the man. Despite what the man was saying he didn't trust him. The man was dangerous, and he was not going to be shot down like everyone else in the room. The man's words dawned on him, they were not words of a malicious murderer, but actually of someone who wanted to help. As his gun went into the holster he stepped back. The man turned his back toward him and got his coat, he was sure that if the gun had run out of bullets that there would be ammunition in the coat pockets, but he was a bit to shocked to react. The man returned to the same spot that he had been in. The initial shock was beginning to wear off and the reality of the situation was coming to light. The boy looked at the girl as she tried to reassure him, he sighed and watched as the gun slid against the ground, "Fine." he put the knife in his pocket and picked up the gun. He had never shot one before and he hopes he'd never have to. He cradled it between his fingers and stepped forward, "I don't kill people." he said in an aggrivated tone as he placed the gun in his pocket. "The marines are going to come and you are going to jail. When they come I'll go to the doctor." he had taken the man's gun he prayed that it would be enough to tame the man. He wondered where the marines were, bar fighting would probably put him in the same boat as the man, but he refused to let a murderer roam the streets while he was still in it. |

Dwayne was dissapointed the boy still persisted on doing something crazy. Turning him out to the marines for murder? Please... This situation called for it, well maybe it didn't but the trauma's could have been a lot worse if he hadn't stepped in. "Yous till consider me a bad guy huh? Did you even think what could have happend if I didn't step in? Perhaps you would have been fine but I'm sure Ella wouldn't have been. It was 3 on 2 and I don't consider 3 burly men a fair match for a girl and a boy...". Dwayne picked up a chair and took a seat on it. He pulled out his lighter and a cigarette from his jacket and started smoking. he took gentle puffs and breathed it back out slowly and in one go. He sat back casully in the chair and strached his legs. "I don't even want to think about what they could have done if they won this fight. I trust you believe me that the best case scneario would have been a trauma much worse then death itself? Perhaps you 2 would become hostiges and They would end up tortuturing you for fun? I've been trough a lot in life... Terrible things happen wherever I go... That's why I killed them. To prevent such terrible things...". Dwayne looked down on the ground after that speech and set himself so his elbows were resting on his knees. His cigarette was hanging between his index and middlefinger on his right hand. The sad look on his face was not all that shown. It was a look of ingrown fear and despair. Despair that he should have never left Water 7. Fear of losing the one person he cared for. Depression of losing everyone he cared for before... Ella looked a little sad aswel. She couldn't get a word out of her mouth after what Dwayne said. She too had lost her parents but she seemed a little fine after a few years. Dwayne was still suffering eventough he had been dealing longer with his losses. His loss was a lot greater then her's tough... She knew he cared for her but she didn't know it was so rooted in in. That desire to protect. "Marines won't help you either..." Dwayne said after a short silence. "They may take me in they may not... For all we know these men have bounties and I acted as a bounty hunter. And besides that you are also a murderer if you consider certaint evidence then.". Dwayne finished his smoke and tossed the leftovers somewhere in the rubble of tables and chairs. It couldn't start a fire at the small rate it was burning. Dwayne stood up again. "The gun you just now picked up is a murder weapon. Your fingerprints are enough evidence for the marines to suspect you too. Don't think so low of me. I did what I felt would ensure a safety for us." Dwayne walked to to the boy and got on his knees in front of him. He streched out his arms and it seemed as if he was willing for the boy to shoot him. "But if you insist on turning me in after all... I suggest you end my life here and now. Either that or I will when I'm in prison... But please... Let Ella go...". OOC

The man was a hero, though more along the sad side an anti hero perhaps. Gou had to think things over, but he didn't have the time. The man who smoked just brought with him a sadness that only those who have suffered deep rooted trauma can. Gou's spiky red hair dropped with the rest of his head, he had reached a tough decision. "I would have saved her, we would have won, and everyone would have been alright." Optimism was the only defense about such grim logic, but in the back of his mind he couldn't help but believe the man was right. He turned to the girl who had been absorbed in his web of sadness and he wondered why anyone would want to be around that. "And I know, but if we are both convicted I can keep you from killing anyone else." the boy sighed and looked at the girl again, if sadness was a cloud then this man had a thunderstorm. "And she didn't kill anyone , if anything I'd lie and say that I did it." he shifted back to the man in the chair who continued to smoke his cigarette. "I'm not a murderer and neither is she. I'm sure the only reason she's with you is because she wanted to keep you from doing stuff like this." the man made his way to the ground and talked about killing himself. He had come up with a reply for everything else he said, but he did not have an immediate reply for this one, he had been given am ultimatum one that he didn't like. Murderer or not he did not deserve to die for trying to protect a girl and even though his actions were a bit rash they made sense in a serial killer sort of way. Gou cradled the gun and pointed it toward the man's head, "One I'm not a murderer, and Two I'm not going to let you or anyone else die while I'm around. From here on out I'm makig sure you don't kill anyone including yourself. I'm sure that Ella had a hard enough time doing that." He looked at the girl and jammed the gun in his pocket. He slammed his hand on the mans shoulder, "We'll find a doctor when we get off this island, for now we have to get the hell out of here before the marines come and lock us all up." he had never left his island before, but he refused to see a good but misguided man suffer the toils of the law juzt because he was reckless. "Ella tell him we're leaving." he didn't know who was in charge or if the man would even listen to him, but he was sure that her voice was far more important then his was. |

Redemption... or was it Pity? Dwayne would not know as he would never bring it up again. Ella walked over to him and layed her hand on his schoulder: "C'mon Dwayne... Let's get out of here." Dwayned sighed but got up and went for the piano. He picked up a bag and tossed it at Ella. "Yes... Let's..." Dwayne then left for the doorway and barged outside. Ella picked up the bag and walked over to Gou. "Don't worry... He'll get around. He's not the bad guy you take him for. He may have killed today and most likely before, but I owe my life to him. He blames himself for too much of the bad things that happen. I want to help him get over that. He's got quite some talent so I think he could make it real big as a muscian but that depression is keeping him back from the big scene... Anyways I trust you know the way to a doctor around this town? Dwayne and I aren't exactly locals..." the girl said and untied her bandana. He then folded it up a little and placed it on Gou's wound. "I'm no doctor but I sure know you need to stop the bleeding~.". The girl smiled as she pressed it against his face. "You hold that up untill we get there okay? Now let's go!" she said and went outside aswel. Meanwhile, Dwayne sat outside on a table and was playing his harmonica. He pondered why Destiny let's him keep his life everytime while taking everyone elses away... He was no fan Redemption or any kind of salvation. Ending this miserable life of his was maybe the best thing in the end since he knew the boy couldn't stop him from killing. In the end, it all doesn't matter. He was doomed unlucky and pushing the little luck he still had left. It was stupid of him and he knew that but he still kept on doing it. Perhaps that is the reason why he's so depressed? Dwayne looked up and noticed some clouds are forming. "Strange... It always does that when I play this song... Crazy weather..." he said as he jumped off the table he was sitting on. Ella had just walked out. "Lead the way boy..." he said as he put away his harmonica and waived at the streets. |

Kind words from a naive young woman who knew nothing of the world, where the thoughts of a naïve young man who no nothing past his island. The melody that the man played poured through his ears like the rains of a storm. They would have to depart before the clouds came. The large posse of pirates outside had yet to clear out and unlike the bar it seemed no one was moving. The lack of marines was alarming, especially at the rate of large scale incidents that occurred on the island and the doctor was only accessible through the large crowd of people. With the bandanna pressed against his mouth the boy looked toward man and nodded. He would follow. Even if the girl was caught up on him it seemed that he was just as trapped as she was. Gou shook his head and pushed his way through the crowd, with all these men each dabblers in the shifty world of the wayward mariner a problem would occur sooner or later. The clouds were rolling in perhaps signaling the gloomy future that the trio may be looking forward to. Gou knew where the doctor’s office and was doing his best to guide the depressed excuse for a man and happy go lucky fan girl behind him. The cloaked figures that had been congregating during the speech had disappeared in the wave of people. While the orange haired man casually stepped out of bar, “You’re leaving already?” the voice was fluid and traveled over the mass of pirates and immediately the people’s heads turned. The spokesman was back. Gou shifted his head in the voices direction and looked toward the depressed man, “Is he talking to you?” why was this man following the other guy, he couldn’t come to a conclusion. Though he had been shot in the foot he steadily made his way toward the gun slinging posse. A trail of blood made from droplets of a leaking foot was following behind the man with every step. The crowd was getting excited, after all the spokesman had done enough to rile their spirits before why not a second time. As the man got within a foot away from the group a shot rang off in the distance. The crowd shifted like a wave splashing toward the direction of the sound, their interest had been lost if only for the moment. Gou couldn’t make out who shot or what was shot, was it his gun? He tilted down to his pocket and sighed as he realized it wasn’t. It seemed that getting to the hospital might be a bit harder than he thought. |
