Takuya's Interview
My name is Takuya, Takuya Gensai to be honorable. I was born here in Loguetown, born the son of a Blacksmith, and a Nurse. My mother is currently unable to work, because of an physical illness. My father however continues to craft weapons every now and then . I was born twin to my older brother Tyson Gensai, who is approximately four minutes and twenty three seconds older then I am. Tyson however recently decided to live his life to the fullest, therefore deciding to play the role of a Pirate. Me, I' joined the Marines for one reason, and one reason only. I was told after three years of service, I'd receive unlimited government funding for all of my inventions. After those three years, to be honest, I won't be around. I'd let you know ahead of time, I don't follow orders well, so I suggest not giving me any, because there is a huge chance of me finding your order flawed, and that results in me either not doing it at all, or changing the plan greatly. If you find this statement disrespectful, then by all means don't accept me in your organization. If a superior is to give me a command, and I find it stupid, or if I find the superior stupid in general. I will inform him without fear, no matter how high his ranking is. Once again, if you don't see me as a Marine with this attitude, then by all means don't allow me to join. I also don't work well with others, so please make sure if I pass this pitiful "test" of yours, I am not surrounded by a group of bumbling idiots. That's all.

Wow this one is interesting.

If he weren't interesting then he wouldn't have been placed in that Division.

True, true, what exactly are you trynna gain by putting this division together?

Wealth, fame, and power.

Interesting.

Huh, they're late. I can already tell they'll be a bunch of brute scoundrels. Takuya hushed in boredom. He was awaiting for his new cast of teammates to arrive on the scene they were designated by their official to meet up at. It was an outside cafe, Takuya was sitting in an white chair, sipping a cup of tea placed on the round white table. Their were four chairs to the table, Takuya sat in the left chair on the right of the table. The Cafe was extremely busy, with many other civilians eating around Takuya. However his table had been reserved for the rest of the Independence Division. Takuya was a bit reluctant to join such a different division. Their was no real superior telling them what to do directly, and they were told they were to never receive direct orders. Which is why it's called "The Independent Division", cause the operatives in the Division work alone. Takuya didn't mind being a part of this division though, he only thought about the prize at the end of his small stay in the organization. It was the only thing that fueled him to join the Marines in the first place. Not that he didn't care about helping others, but he'd rather prefer experimenting in his lab all day. But he lacked the supplies to do so, cause dad refused to break his bank to fund Takuya's experiments. Thus Takuya moved out of his home and decided to make his money this way, up until the point of three years when his experiment variety, and potential became boundless. Well that's what he thought at least, Takuya wasn't the best at getting along with a multitude of people. Or working in groups for that matter, Takuya realized all of his wishes stated in his interview wouldn't be granted at this point . But he realized he had to make an exception and at least try to make the three years enjoyable to an point. Anyways, thirty minutes had passed, and not one of the others were in sight. Takuya was slowly losing his patience, he had already drank five cups of sweet tea waiting on them, and during the gap both of his legs had fallen asleep. Takuya folded his legs, one over the other, as his frames beamed elegantly in the beaming sunlight he held his cup to his chin area, trying his best to be patient.

Damon sighed as he walked across the rooftops eyes directed skyward. He can't believe he had been placed in this Division just because he refused orders. He would rather work alone as many carried a fear of him. His "abilities" had begun to outcast him as an outcast he tended to be alone. He had been taught to show no emotions in his training no fear or mercy. Damon was the perfect example his parent's murdered by pirates he naturally wanted to stop the pain.

He had achieved the feat by not feeling anything at all. He still remembered his first lesson.....

"Why have you come here?" Spoke the monk he came to call master. He wore orange robes with a yellow slash. He carried a walking stick in his right hand that was taller than himself.

"To learn....." A younger Damon replied he looked pretty much the same as he did in the present. He had just gotten a leave to improve his skill as an officer.

"To learn.......well then you must be emotionless. You must be able to attack with certainty without any hesitation. So fight me and I pray you don't hold back....." The old monk smiled a crinkled old smile moving closer to Damon.

"No I will not attack you call someone else and I shall destroy them......" Damon told the old monk with respect placing his hands behind his back.

In a flash the monk's stick struck Damon's knees in a fluid motion. The sound of bone breaking reverbrated throughout the air. Damon quickly dropping where he stood his hands clutching the ground as he cried. "When told to do something do it no emotion remember that."

From then on Damon had never showed his oppenent's any mercy completely parting with all emotion. He had gained his name The Machine. He was brought from his mindless wandering as a loose tile fell from beneath him. He began sliding off the rooftop his balance lost. "Hmm...." Damon let himself fall from the roof rockets forming on the soles of his feet. He landing with a slight woosh. "Well I wasted enough time......" Damon rounded the corner seeing the cafe sighing. He walked up to his new "teammate" left hand in pocket nodding.

"Yo......."

Takuya was reluctant to a be a Marine at this point, he only joined for a few internalized reasons. One was to hopefully meet up with his so far gone brother, who decided to go in the opposite direction of Takuya and become a Pirate. Takuya didn't really feel betrayed by this, hell he had no beef with Pirates. He most certainly didn't join to take down Pirates. Although Takuya believes criminals and Pirates should be punished according to their actions;but to Takuya even the minor crimes deserved the harshest punishments. The cutting of limbs, torture and all above it was his perspective on criminal punishment. For someone like Takuya who has an tabula-rasa with the law, his ideals was those of one who was wronged by an criminal before. That however wasn't even the case. Takuya never really experienced pain, struggle, and hardship. He just felt his intelligence level was so far above others his social perspective was boundless. Which wasn't the case in his situation.

Pretty soon as Takuya waited he drunk another few cups of tea, to the point his stomach got heavy. So he went to go use the bathroom, which was dirty as fuck, after taking a piss Takuya went to go sit back down at the table, waiting more and more for these people. Takuya after waiting for another great amount of time, had finally seen the first of his new teammate to come within his site. He was an white male, with blond hair, he didn't look to intimidating nor to nice. He certainly didn't look like that much of an idiot to Takuya who arched an brow at the approaching male. The man introduced himself with an simple "yo" displaying his unsaid respect. Takuya closed his eyes and pushed the center of his glasses forward with his left hand, saying in an nonchalant voice tone. Takuya Gensai, it's nice to meet you, I take it your joining The Division Of Independence as well huh? At any rate, you're approximately 22 minutes late. He asked the man who's name he had yet to learn. Takuya looked the man dead in the eye, showing no cower or worry about the man's reaction what so ever.

Takuya briefly scanned the man and began to think, "what was so special about him?'" Takuya knew why he was placed in this certain Division it was because he was different, and quite frankly special. So what made this man different? He seemed like the average Marine, with nothing special about him. Takuya knew if this man was to be his future partner things wouldn't have gone well. See, Takuya didn't exactly fit in with the average" Joe. By all means he never believed in judging a book by his cover but he couldn't help but do so in this situation. In other words, Takuya was hoping for the worst with this man. Takuya was still disorientated by the face the other members of the small group hadn't arrived yet, it was said there would be approximately five members in the small group, and only two were here now. Where the hell was the other 3? Being late showed there lack of respect, and Takuya didn't fuck with disrespectful people. So wherever they are, they needed to hurry up so Takuya wouldn't be in suspense about how many idiots were gonna be on the team.

Damon paid no attention to the male as his attention had been diverted. The Marine Head Commander had told them to come here right? Why though this was an area for civilians why tell them to meet here? It made no sense and everything the World Government did had a purpose. What exactly the purpose now was Damon himself didn't know. They were a mere stones throw away (with the right arm) so why not meet at the Base? Something was up and Damon was on high alert he wasn't comfortable with this situation. It wasn't fear no he hadn't felt fear for a long time now it was an unexplainable feeling of unease.

Ehh maybe it was nothing he sighed he was thinking to much into this. His hands resting in his pocket his eyes turned skyward. It was a nice day a day of new things for Damon. Maybe he would have "fun" as he longed for. He just couldn't seem to ever have fun when he smiled it was a lie. He had forgotten what a smile even meant so usually he wore a expression of boredom. "You know, what makes you so special as to join this division are you a Devil Fruit user?" Bluntness was all Damon knew he didn't beat around the bush cause frankly he didn't care what people thought. Why should he? So still looking up as a black bird a raven possibly crossed the sky he waited for an answer.

The man didn't seem to mind ignoring Takuya completely, as he had gotten no name in exchange for his own. Takuya was displeased with this but he dusted it off, besides at this pace the man wouldn't be his partner for very long. At this point Takuya felt he was put into a mock Division and the whole "Division Of Independence" crap was a bunch of bullshit. Judging by the man that stood before him, he assumed the Marine's didn't take the Division seriously, and it was just another rag tag team of nobodies. Takuya felt unrighteously recruited for that reason. Hell maybe he would get more funding being a scientist for a Pirate crew then here, hell maybe there would be more intelligent people on a Pirate ship then the rest of the Division. Takuya thought slowly losing hope before it all even began. Takuya's glasses began to slid off of his nose slightly, it had been awhile since he had gotten his glasses resized and he had to push them up quite often, with a gently two finger push with his right hand his glasses were replaced at the peak of his eyes. A waiter then walked over to Takuya, she had short blond hair, pale white skin, abstractly bright teeth, and a curvy form. She wore a small black skirt, and a short sleeve blouse tucked in into the skirt, she wore a white and black sailor hat, which was the same colors of her dress and shirt.

She spoke in a soft, and enlightening tone, Would you like some more tea sir? She asked before smiling, closing her eyes and squinting. She held both hands together against her thigh area, Takuya could tell the woman was nervous for whatever reason. Maybe she was in suspense to whether or not Takuya would tip her for delivering the tea again, Takuya thought to himself. Takuya effortlessly placed his left elbow on the table before rising his palm towards the woman, and saying calmly. No thank you. The woman in reaction forward nodded, before turning around and walking back into the cafe. Takuya felt no need to edge the girl on after one of his partners arrived and what not. Takuya then diverted his attention towards the male who had asked him what made himself special, and was he a devil fruit user oddly. Takuya wondered why the man asked such a question about being a Devil fruit user, this made Takuya wonder if this man was a devil fruit user himself, or else he wouldn't have asked or been placed in this Division at all. Assuming the content of the Divisions guidelines were legit however, as Takuya quickly replied.

Special? Who said anything about special? Your an idiot for believing what people tell you. There's nothing special about this Division, you are proof of that. Takuya said calmly placing his palm upon his chin. Before a second had passed after his taunt, a screech was heard from across the street of the Cafe, Were an apartment complex was, the following was heard from the enormous scream. No someone Ms. Emily you'll fall! The small girl exclaimed, this caught Takuya's attention as he looked over to the apartment building. He saw a very small cat standing on the edge of the building, and a small girl in a window looking up at the cat with tears in her eyes and a runny nose. Meow, the cat said before jumping from the roof of the building. The building was about fifty feet tall and then some. There was no doubt about it, that kitten was about to die. Nooo!!! The girl exclaimed again as the cat fell from above. Daisuke sighed, and pushed his glasses up yet again, before closing his eyes. Nothing we can do about that. He said heartlessly as the cat fell to his death.

Damon sighed as he noticed the woman asking the male Takuya he believed his name was would he like more tea. Why didn't she ask him for more tea? Oh well maybe she had a crush on him or wanted a large tip. Either way he didn't care women came to him in swarms. Why he would never know maybe it was his cold disposition or his appearance. The male seemed irriated as he told the woman no thank you. He then went into a rant disrespecting Damon to the highest extent.

Ehh who cares what he thought Damon didn't believe himself special. Those around him did however deeming to use his "abilities" to their advantage. It was for this reason that Damon had done the unthinkable and refused an order. Normally Damon always followed orders no matter how ridiculous but this time was different.

It was maybe three months ago he was working an assignment. He was to eliminate three pirates that had fled to a small island town. The Marine Corp. had finally found them and deemed them to be executed no mercy. He was the only operative working the job as he could handle it alone. Or so he thought as he knocked on the door of the home.

They lived in a one bedroom shack with no furniture to speak of. A simple sink and a wood burning stove stood off in a corner. Damon stood waiting in the doorway the door had fallen at his touch. He looked around a brief glance a man with jet black hair slicked back into a ponytail. His face was soft and hairless his eyes dark green he looked bored with the situation. In the report this man was named Derek McCoy. Next to him a young woman maybe 23 years in age stood holding a katana. She was beautiful with long reddish brown hair and a face that usually held a infinite amount of kindness.

Now however it was masked by a determination her name in the report was Lenore McCoy Mr. McCoy's wife. They had terrorized the seven seas for years on end. What made Damon wonder is where in the world was the third pirate? There was no information regarding him/her in the report. Oh well he would deal with these two first.

Derek spoke with his words shaking, "So they have found us at last. Your young are you sure you want to go through with this?" He gave no time to answer coming towards Damon with a fierce right hook. Damon gave no answer as well dodging the punch with a simple tilt of his head. His right foot iron boot and all kicked the male in the chest. Instantly the air left Derek's body blood came to his lips the strength this kid possesed was unnatural. The kick was followed by a elbow to the back sending the Derek crashing to the ground.

He lay there immobile as Lenore came at Damon's blind spot swinging the katana towards his head. He gritted his teeth as the blade missed by inches. At the last moment a rocket exhaust had formed at his side sending him soaring across the room. The woman however was severely burned as she had been caught by the blast. It was then that Damon caught another presence within the room that of a child?

Yes standing not feet from him stood a girl maybe five years in age clutching a ragged bunny rabbit to her chest. Her eyes widened in terror, "Mommy daddy what's going on?" Her dad and mom was speechless as they each turned towards Damon. He sighed walking out the house before saying his parting words, "Leave go somewhere dissappear."

His superiors had been notified of this and he had been transferred to this useless division. He was torn from his wondering by an ear splitting scream he sighed what now? Maybe ten feet from him he saw the waitress talking to a cat standing atop a fifty story building. The cat stepped off and everything seemed to move in slow motion. Rocket exhausts formed on his back as well as his feet as he took off. He reached the cat in seconds catching him in his left hand. He then let the rockets vanish as both he and animal went plunging towards the Earth. The cat clawed his chest in fear but ehh Damon had done this many times before. Moments before impact the rockets returned to his heels as he landed safely. He then gave the cat to the female and walked back to his Division mate hands in his pocket. The screams and exclamations from the crew didn't phase him he cared little for their concern or fear. Why should he?

Takuya observed the man's posture as he realized the cat was falling to a gory death. The girl hanging out the window looked below as the cat passed, reaching down with her hands as if she still had an legitimate chance at catching her cat. Her golden pigtails sparkled a bit in the sunset as crystal tears fell from her eyes. The cat was orange and had black strips, hell one would mistake it for a tiger if its facial features were more defined. Takuya didn't feel relatively sorry for the cat. Animal cruelty wasn't something he cared about, or animals in general really. However Takuya found out this man didn't exactly feel this way. As exhaust pipes formed on the mans back and the soles of his feet. Takuya's eyes widened in surprise as the man revealed what made him special. Now Takuya was torn between whether he was an cyborg or a Devil Fruit user, it didn't take long for Takuya to figure out which one was it. He knew modern technology couldn't modify a man the way this man was. He was sure this man had eaten one of the cursed fruits of the sea. Which is why he asked Takuya was he an devil fruit user himself beforehand. Soon the rocket exhausts began to produce heat that propelled the man in the air as Takuya hushed. So that's what makes him special? Guess this isn't a mock division after all. Admitting his previous theory on the Division was indeed false.

Takuya grinned with delight, perhaps he could get some useful data from this man's unique ability. With this man's devil fruit ability he could further his research in rocketry. Takuya thought about the endless possibilities and tests he could use this man for. The man then continued to rocket towards the car falling from the tree, at an blazing speed. His partner caught the attention of all surrounding pedestrians. As they looked up at him in aw, he easily caught the falling cat, and deactivated his rockets, descending below. Before using his rockets again to rise up the small girl who smiled and said in gratitude. Thank you mister! I'll never forget you, you're my hero! The man however didn't respond and in fact he seemed rather bored. As he rushed towards Takuya as if nothing had happened. Takuya rose to his feet, and looked the man dead in the eye before saying in a monotonous voice tone. It seems I've mad a rather boundless miscalculation, you're special afterall, say what's your name? If you don't mind that is, "partner".Takuya said emphasizing the last word, he really didn't compliment the guy but, rather point out the obvious to him. Besides his intentions now were to use this man and his ability to further his studies.

Takuya wasn't an evil man, or a corrupt Marine, he was just an opportunist. And, quite frankly he couldn't let such an rare opportunity pass him by. It wasn't every day you met a devil fruit user, hell some people never laid eye upon one in their lifetime. Takuya knew how lucky he was to have one in his group. Before Takuya had received an proper response from the man, a woman was seen dashing on the sidewalk next to the Cafe, she wore a long purple flower dress, and a short sleeve polo shirt with pink baby doll shoes. She has long ruby hair, as she ran at full speed yelling, Thief somebody help that man has stolen my purse! She said pointing towards a dashing man, running across the street wildly. He wore a ski mask, black slacks, and a black sweater, he had an generic burner in his hand, which scared off others from attempting to help the woman. Takuya knew it was his turn to prove himself, as he swiftly drew Kajuko without even looking behind himself. He held the bow with his left hand, and drew an arrow with his right, he then gently placed the arrow on the bow, raiding it in a shooting position. He effortlessly aimed the bow at the fleeing man, and with calm he released an iron arrow towards the man. The arrow sped past the distance between the two, before hitting it's target. Flum! Right on the mans left kidney area, he quickly fell upon his knees before going unconscious. The people around the area began to look at Takuya in aw, as the woman who had stopped running, said while panting. Thank you sir. Takuya simply replied while putting away Kajuko, No problem. He said before progressing towards the downed criminal, taking a pair of handcuffs off of his waist.

Damon sighed as the male apologized.............sort of and then asked his name. His eyes had again rose skyward as it was one of his favorite pastimes but oh well. He met the male's stare Takuya? Yes it was Takuya before repling with a dull low tone. "I'm Damon White 26 year old Marine. I have been employed by the Marines for more than three years. I have a Devil Fruit which allows me to create rocket exhausts anywhere on my body. That is all you need to know......."

His eyes once again wandered to a woman running down the street after a male. "Hm..." Before he could react however Takuya had drawn his bow firing off a shot. The accuracy was dead on and struck the male on his side downing him with the blow. It was an impressive display of archery and he commended it but he didn't like it. He perferred to fight with his hands and feet though it wasn't fair as he had a Devil Fruit.

He followed at a pace as Takuya went to handcuff the male his eyes watching in observation. This guy was new he had to be just straight out off his mother's womb as they said. Oh well he looked young in his teens he just didn't know how young. He hoped the Marine Corp. didn't expect him to babysit this guy that wasn't on his agenda. He just had a personal vendetta against pirates that the marine used.

Well where were the other two members of the squad they had yet to make an appearance. Now that he and Takuya had stood out they shouldn't remain in the open for long. "Hurry up Takuya we have to go......"

Takuya sighed as the man commanded him to hurry up. He didn't take a liking to being rushed, especially from someone like Damon, who admitted he was too over aged to even be on the division. The woman quickly grabbed her purse off the ground as she looked at Takuya and said in pure gratitude. Is there any way I can repay you? She said stretching both of her arms behind her back in a seductive manner. Takuya gave her a blank stare before saying in boredom. No, the fact you seemed more then grateful for my doings is enough repayment I could ask for 'mam. The woman's face dropped with disappointment realizing Takuya shot her down, and showed no interest what so ever in her. The woman walked by Takuya swinging her hips abstractly, displaying the attitude she had just put on because of Takuya's reaction to her attempt to seduce him. What the hell was wrong with people? Takuya had just saved this woman's purse from thievery and this is how he got re-payed for it? This was what exactly is wrong with the current age, people were far to ignorant to appreciate things for long.

Takuya simply moved on, to the criminal lying there with an arrow deep within his back. He bled, but not profusely or anything Takuya was sure the man was gonna be alright. Besides he didn't aim for a kill shot when he let the arrow go, for if he did then the man would surely be gone. Takuya crouched upon his left knee, wrapping the handcuffs around the mans wrists with carSnap! Was the sound of the handcuffs being conjoined. Takuya then checked the man's pockets to see if he had any weapons on him he didn't in fact his pockets were completely empty. Takuya then crouched upon both knees, placing his hands under the mans stomach to get a firm hold upon his body, with this hold he managed to pick this man up. He wasn't exactly light, but Takuya was able to shoulder the unconscious and now handcuffed man. Takuya scanned the area around him briefly, as he looked at his partner Damon dead in the eye before commanding. Follow me, we're taking this man to the local prison, I'll make sure he'll do hard time for his actions. Takuya said in a deep, and serious voice tone.

Takuya had decided to give up on waiting for the rest of the division to show up. Besides it was clear to him, they didn't take their jobs as seriously as Takuya did, or as they should for that matter. There is no excuse great enough to excuse their actions in Takuya's point of view. Takuya swiftly turned his body position a she began to progress at an slow and steady pace towards the local jail. which was nothing but ten minutes away. Takuya didn't mind looking behind himself to see Damon's reaction, in fact he could care less how he felt about him currently or how he would feel about him in the future. Takuya was being rather rude at the moment for pretty much obvious reasons. He was irritated and frustrated at the current goings of the day and Damon telling him to hurry up certainly didn't help things.

Damon sighed this guy had obviously caught an attitude because of his comment really? Respect must have died with his generation because he felt none of it now. But ehh who cares now he could enjoy a stroll to prison. He felt a feeling of weird Deja Vu but he was being taken in handcuffs to the prison. Weird, why would he have such a vision? Maybe it was some flashback from a previous life.....or current one.

Instead he focused his attention on a bird soaring across the sky. If he had to hazard a guess he would suppose it's a seagull. It was fun being able to fly even if it is only for a little bit of time. He began to grow aggravated people still were staring. No wonder they had made to big of fools of themselves. One a Devil Fruit user the other a archman both Marines. Now to top it all they were carrying a thief to prison no correction Takuya was carrying him. Damon himself was to lost in his own thoughts to lend a hand. For some reason though Takuya wasn't so much of a nuiasance anymore. No more like a younger brother who needed help learning the ropes.

Feeling uncomfortable with the attention he briefly spoke to Takuya, "Meet you at the gates....." With this he was off to the nearest alleyway. After making sure no one was around except a few stray cats and a dusty old dumpster. The alleyway was narrow maybe six feet in diameter reaching out Damon could touch each end. "Okay...." He quickly ascended the wall using small bursts of his rockets on his feet to reach a nearby roof. His hands grasped the rocky ledge before hoisting himself up.

"Ahh that's better...." He sighed hands stretching to rest behind his head. Now he felt better he always did once he was by himself. Now he could just chill as he walked across the rooftops undisturbed. It seems for now him and Takuya was the only ones in the Division which was fine with him. He didn't like working with a lot of people it bored him. He had reached the prison where he leap off the building a small burst of rocket exhaust and he was on the ground. He walked the gates leaning on them and waiting for Takuya's appearance.

As Takuya continued progressing towards the jail, his sole partner Damon informed Takuya that he would meet him at the jail. Takuya didn't really like the idea of the two splitting up, especially for an unknown reason. He couldn't trust Damon he had no idea what he was capable of, he sure as hell didn't know why he wanted to take an alternative route to the jail. This is what made Takuya suspicious, was this man trying to do something undercover? Or was he just an very secretive person? Or did he simply need some down time? There were many questions to answered. But since Takuya didn't want to be a bother himself, he simply nodded in recommendation of the two men splitting up for whatever reason. With that the male quickly activated his devil fruit powers, to ascend atop of the building they were walking next to. It disturbed Takuya how much the man was using his devil fruit powers already. It seemed he was just about bound to abuse them in the near future. It seemed that Damon had lacked control, and motivation to fit in modern society. At the risk of hearing an abused sob story Takuya didn't really care why, he just hoped that he eventually would use his head, and stop thinking with his ego, which was very bad for him at the time. Eating a devil fruit in Takuya's mind was one thing, but abusing the power and not being able to display he ate a cursed fruit every thirty seconds would surely only become more annoying to Takuya as time went by. He made a mental note to remind himself to tell Damon about using his powers in public areas for uncalled for reasons.

He continued on to the jail, walking along the sidewalk slowly, people who were passing by gave Takuya and weird look. He knew why though, it was unbeknown to them why he was shouldering a man, well initially. After seeing the back of Takuya's jacket with the Marine label on the back and seeing the handcuffs around the man's wrist they realized it was nothing major and the man was an criminal. Takuya simply ignored these people, hell it wasn't like any of them had intentions to confront him about it. So Takuya acted as if they didn't exist at all.Pretty soon the bared front gate of the jail was within Takuya's vision, shockingly Damon had already arrived at the front gate waiting patiently for his partner. The gate around the small jail was the standard jet black bared gate, the prison itself was fairly small. It was a two floor prison with a max capacity of 75, Takuya prayed they weren't overcrowded cause he really didn't want to walk anymore. The building was light brown and wasn't that high, nor to wide, the entrance doors were double doors in which one had to pull outward to open. Damon stood there leaning against the gate, Damon closed his eyes, expecting Takuya to say something to him. Instead, he simply walked to the left of the man, where a purple den den mushi stuck to the right of the gate doors. This den den mushi was used as an identification check to gain entrance to the prison. One was required to state their reason for attempting to gain entrance to the prison before they actually went inside. Takuya spoke into the den den mushi in an factual tone.

Takuya Gensai, Marine Ensign, Division Of Independence.

With that said the gate doors swiftly propelled backwards, making an center walkway. With the force of the doors being pushed back like they were, it would surely rapture the balance of Damon who was leaning on the gate. Takuya didn't feel the need to worry Damon, besides he was pretty sure he would find the man's fall quite comical. Takuya walked down the center pathway, picking up the walking pace as he drew closer. He quickly made it to the see through double doors, raising his right hand , balding it up, before knocking against the plexiglass door gently. There was an Marine guarding the inside of the door, which was unknown to the knocking Takuya. The man looked behind him to his right seeing the Marine knocking on the door with an unconscious man in his hands. The man had blond curly hair that swirled upwards, and seemed very thin. He had a very thin goatee, yellow small eyes, he was rather short, and was just considered overweight by Takuya's standard. He opened the door from the inside with force, as an very cold breeze of hair hit Takuya as he entered, hushing the words to the man. Thank you. Takuya now stood at the center of the jail's would be considered "lobby area", where an guarded office was in front of him and the starting hallway bisected into two other hallways on the left and right of Takuya respectively. Takuya took the forward path, this wasn't the first time he had been to this small jailing center, and he knew criminals were turned in and reported on in the forward path, where a woman would question the two behind a glass screen for protection. Takuya walked towards this woman, as they began to converse within eyesight of each other.

How can I help you sir? I have a criminal to turn in, he attacked an innocent woman and attempted to steal her purse while in the act of running, I had no choice but to disable him via an iron arrow. He's going to live, he'll just be out for a while.Okay sir, did you cuff him?Yes. Walk down the hallway on the right, on the first door there should be other Marines in a room where other cuffed criminals are being evaluated, just throw him in the bunch, and thank you for help cleaning the streets of Loguetown. No it was my pleasure, and no problem. The two had ended their conversation right then and there, as Takuya power walked to the room that she spoke of. To his surprise there were no other criminals in the room currently, there was a white Marine behind a screen door however. There were four chairs lined up against one another all facing a guarded desk, the male from what Takuya could see had medium length brown hair, wore glassed and had blue eyes. He seemed to be about mid aged, judging by the wrinkles on his forehead. Takuya twisted the nob before pushing it forward, opening the door, without saying a word he waked over the the four chairs, placing the man on the furthest one on the right. Taking him off of his shoulder, over time the man's weight began to strain Takuya's shoulder, however this couldn't be seen on the exterior. After placing the man on the chair, Takuya exited the room, pushing his glasses forward while doing so. The man at the desk arched his eyebrow at Takuya's somewhat rudeness, as the thief sat there emotionless. Takuya truly hoped he would get the sentence he deserved, whatever that may be. In his opinion he deserved his dominant hand to be cut off, as a penalty for stealing. Takuya had read up on old fashioned punishments for various crimes, he felt they were more fitting then the recent punishments for some odd reason.

Takuya reentered the main hallway, when he heard the following coming from an intercom system. All Marines currently in the building, be aware the dirty faced killer is still on the loose, and last night he sent a letter to the local news station, insinuating that he had killed yet another woman. Which makes 9 innocent woman killed by him in total! Be aware of him, and be on your guard at all times. Us Marines will bring this man down ! The announcer said, this immediate caught Takuya's interest. Maybe if he took down this criminal the Marines would be so grateful they would fund him immediately. Besides that Takuya had heard of this man before, and his opinion of him was very low. Why? Cause he only killed woman which made him a coward in Takuya's eyes. Takuya needed more information about the man's killings before they could actually do some investigating though, so he walked back towards the woman at the front desk. Xcuse me miss, but can you recall th last victim of the dirty faced killer? The woman looked up at Takuya before pulling a news article from under herself, she then got up from her spinning chair and exited her room now standing next to Takuya. She handed him the news article and said, There's an article about the last victim and her families reaction, along with their location. Takuya smiled at the woman and said in gratitude, Thank you. As the woman returned back to her office Takuya read up. He scanned the passage of the article aiming to find the families location, which was added in the article for if someone knew something they didn't. The woman's name was Meryl, and she was only 23, and was a nurse at the hospital she didn't live far from the jail either, only about 20 minutes or so by foot. Takuya was now determined, he and probably Damon were gonna find the dirty faced killer.

Takuya arrived not too long after Damon himself still holding the male. Damon's thoughts had been on where he would eat tonight as he closed his eyes. Roast chicken with potatoes and a small shot of vodka sounded good. Maybe he should find someone to accompany him. Yep sounded like a plan he would find someone on this Island to go to dinner with him tonight. From a very young age he had been told many times over how handsome he looked. As a young man he hadn't paid much attention as he was far to focused on his studies.

Now sometimes he desired the company of a woman. He never need look far or hard whenever he made up his mind to do something of this nature they showed up. As if knowing when he would ask someone out for a bite to eat. He wondered whether Takuya would want to come......maybe not he seemed to focused. Actually truth be told Takuya reminded Damon of himself at a earlier age.

His thoughts were interrupted as Takuya spoke into the Den Den Mushi giving his name, rank, and Division. Simple standard procedure but Damon had never been to this prison. Actually he had never been to this Island at all this was his first time here. The gates behind him began to move and Damon having been using them as a support fell. Dust flew up as he sighed, "Ouch....."

He placed his arms beneath him sighing as with an effort he pushed himself up. Then pressing hard on his left knee he stood up brushing himself off. Takuya seemed to get some kind of pleasure out of that which annoyed Damon. He wouldn't however respond back to such childish behavior as he silently followed behind Takuya. As they reached the young woman behind the counter Damon observed yes she would do. She had dark brown skin with more curves than a rollercoaster. He leaned against the counter his elbow and forearm forming a 90 degree angle. He threw on a fake smile showing beautifully well kept teeth.

He let Takuya go register the prisoner alone as he spoke softly to the woman Carole it read on her nameplate, "Hey you doing anything tonight?" He used everything he had using all the right moves without overusing them. He allowed his muscles to show without seeming like a boulder head and with his teeth so pearly white; it was a given he took care of himself. So what else happened than the obvious, "No not really...." She replied scanning Damon with her brown eyes, "Well yea you do dinner tonight at whatever place you want...." Damon overconfidently said in return but rightly so.

Carole smiled giggling a bit before saying, "Well then I suppose I'll be ready at eight here's my address..." She scribbled the address on a sticky note before passing
it over. While grabbing the paper containing the address he remembered Takuya. "Thanks do you have any friends?" She was starled by the question but she still replied with, "I know I could find someone..." Takuya now decided to make his appearance as Damon stood up over the Den Den Mushi came the report about the Dirty Face Killer.

A true fruitcake in Damon's opinon to only attack woman but what Takuya said next was even more fruitcakish. He asked for the info on the man as if they were going to go after him! No, they had dates and as they began walking out of the room Damon waving to Carole smiling. He turned on Takuya, "Yo man I just got us dates with her and her friend and you expect me to go after some fruitcake instead?"

Takuya had already devoted himself in finding the dirty faced killer. He wondered what was this guy's motive, attacking innocent woman and what not. Or where they really innocent? Nothing was established so Takuya really couldn't use great analytic skills. He knew this was a marvelous opportunity to prove himself to the Division, and take an grade A killer off the streets. Takuya looked around browsing the room for his partner who had seemingly disapeared after falling at the gate. As Takuya searched, he noticed a woman walking across the hall blushing, and then saw Damon walking right behind her entering the room. Takuya arched at brow in curiosity, wondering what the hell possibly happened between the two. Takuya planned to tell Damon about the pursuit the two would go on. However before he could explain to Damon the situation Damon had already spoken. Coincidentally he already knew of Takuya's intentions and didn't want to pursue the dirty faced killer. But the worse part was, that he wanted Takuya to go on a date with the woman who had just passed by, and her friend.

Takuya had absolutely no interest in dating at the moment. He was far to busy with work, and coming up with new blueprints for women. Not that he was gay or anything, he just had no desire in pursuing a relationship at the moment. Takuya often stood out because of this, he was surprised that Damon hadn't realized he wasn't interested in dating by his reaction to the woman's flirting earlier. Now Takuya could easily just decline the date however, to get on the right foot with his partner he decided he would just go for the hell of it. He admitted to himself, the day was already long enough, going to the deceased's family home would only make the day longer. So he decided he would simply have to wait till tomorrow to investigate the case. Takuya had eased up after turning in the criminal, he didn't know why but bringing in his first criminal felt pretty damn good. Perhaps being a Marine indeed is an enjoyable job, Takuya thought in his head.

At any rate, Takuya's day was seemingly looking up, and hell he had to admit the woman who went by smiling didn't look half bad. Assuming she didn't hang around with uglies, Takuya could have fun with this woman. Takuya wasn't the lover type, but he was still a teenager going through puberty, so sex at the time was a need. He pushed the left frame of his glasses forward, saying to Damon in acceptance. Sure, but tomorrow we're pursuing the dirty faced killer, don't worry here's my address, just pick me up when you and the two women are ready. But for now I must go on my break. Takuya stated to Damon before walking by him. Takuya exited the jail with confidence, heading home. Soon he arrived at his apartment, it was a single bedroom apartment in where the Marines paid for just about everything there. Takuya took a shower, and changed into a jet black tuxedo for the date. The only problem was, it was still early, so while waiting he decided to polish Kajuko and Unmei.Takuya began to wonder what his brother was doing at this moment, while wondering what exactly his mother and father were doing. They didn't live far, only twenty minutes away to be exact. However their relationship was strained and he couldn't bare the awkwardness. Takuya sighed, as he began to draw out some new gadgets while waiting on Damon losing patience as time went by.

Damon chuckled at Takuya's response tomorrow? Hell he'll be lucky if he could even get up tomorrow with what Damon had planned but ehh. It was better to agree than lose tonight as well, "Okay fine please don't wear that damn Marine uniform. I'll come and get you for now Dueces!" He walked off in the opposite direction as he had only just got to town he hadn't acquired a permanant home so he currently stayed at a hotel. Of course it was without a doubt one of the most expenisve hotels on the Island. He had been working for the Marines for over three years and they treated him well. When added that his parent's had left him a healthy sum of Beli he had a small fortune. If he so decided he could leave the Marines and live comfortably until the end of his days. He couldn't however not before he found his parent's killer.

Upon entering the hotel he scanned the lobby pausing for a brief moment. Inside the lobby a grand chandlier hung from the ceiling a truly ornate piece. Around the walls which were a dull gold in colour rested various works of arts. The furnishings of the room were simple but brought out the beauty of the place. Burgundy arm chairs and two seater sofas which felt like sheets of silk. Damon had things to do as he snapped out of his stupor going to the stairs. He ascended them without much trouble reaching his room near the top. This floor was the highest in the hotel and held all the "rich" people who had accumulated high amounts of money. Either legally or unlegally it was on this floor Damon resided. His door the fifth from the stairs stood locked as he slipped the key in the lock.

He turned the key and knob at the same time hearing a soft click. Though it was still a bit of light outside he had closed all his shades and turned off the lights before leaving. It was now that he turned them on that he saw his room again. Most of the stuff he never used a pool table sat in a far corner. A little kitchen area at Damon's right the Master bedroom at his left. He forwent all the luxuries the room wanted opening the door to his room.

A large king size bed was the first thing to catch the eye. Bright gold sheets and pillows lay on it's surface looking for all the world as if you could forget all your worries in it. Next to the bed a nightstand housing a small lamp with a burgundy shade stood. Directly across from the bed stood a Den Den Mushi for ordering room service. This was the cream of the crop and if everything went right this was were he would return to hopefully with company. Damon proceeded towards a bathroom taking off his clothes as he went hopping into the shower. The shower was pretty quick as he goot back out 15 minutes later a towel covering the lower half of his body. His left hand holding the towel in place his right drying his hair with another towel. He put on some black tight fit jeans a red shirt saying "where the party at?" and a black jacket. At intervals of every six or so inches the jacket had red buttons which matched perfectly with his shirt. He changed his usual metal boots for simple black and red tennis shoes. Grabbing a pair of sunglasses with red rimming he exited his room heading back downstairs. He had to get a move on......

He arrived at Takuya's place shortly before 8 sighing. Yea, no doubt Takuya would have to move in with Damon the place wasn't bad just not.......Damon's. He knocked on the door holding the address to Carole's place in his left hand, "Yo time to go Takuya!" Several people stuck their heads out to find the source of all the noise seeing it was Damon they stared. They didn't really see people dressed as he was very often and it showed.

Mel was quite suprise that he was transfered to the Independence Division since Mel thought he was going to stay in that marine branch which had been his home for the last three years at least for a little while more. But it made logical sense though, since it was a divison for the best and brightest of the younger marines which Mel knew because of his exceptional intelligence, that had no choice but to join this particular organization of the marines.

It was only yesterday that the marine ship that Mel was on had landed in Loguetown. Which was quite a sight to him since the town was about five times larger than his previous residence which even then was about four times bigger than his all but destroyed hometown. But now it was time for Mel to meet his fellow division members where he wondered what it could be that made them special enough to join this division too.

So Mel leaves his room in the marine base to meet up with them at the designated place of a cafe. It seem strange to Mel to meet at such a place but there bound to be a good reason for that since orders were made to be followed unless there a good reason they can't be followed for some reason. He notice from the his walking speed and distance, that he will make it to that cafe about ten minutes early which felt good to Mel since an order should always be done in a timely manner.

But when Mel was about half way to the cafe location, he encountered the unexpected problem of two criminals that he could see from a short distance away were running away from a shop with some loot with the nearby civilans saying those two criminals robbed and killed a shop keeper and that he was the only marine here at the moment which meant that Mel was going to be late for his meeting but defeating those two criminals was the more pressing matter at hand. "Of course I shall stop them, good citizens since it is my sworn duty to serve and protect you."

And with that, Mel chases after them and tells them to surrender or face the consequences but the two criminals rather call Mel a government dog and run even faster which only makes him even more frustrated than before. Soon the two criminals hide in a shopping mall which causes Mel to check every store one by one until which takes almost an hour. Then he finally locates them in the second floor in the female clothes store and when he finds them they jump out the window onto the street below which causes them to slow down since now their limping around.

Then the two criminals limp their way to the pier on the harbor and become trap and nowhere else to run which means they have to fight Mel to escape. The younger looking criminal puts on some boxing gloves from his coat and the older looking criminal takes out a sword from his belt. While Mel takes out his sais and puts some sleepy time poison on its tip. Then the fight begans with older criminal using his sword to nick Mel's arm sightly. This causes him to throw a normal behavior bomb at him with the impact knocking him out briefly.

Next the younger looking criminal lands a punch on his shoulder which gives him the needed distraction to used a downward drop attack on him in the stomach which causes him to become sleepy and faint from intense pain. But then the older one wakes up and Mel uses the blocking away attack to stop his swords and then uses a funny business bomb on him which causes him to laugh alot and then Mel uses the cut to the chase attack at the neck which causes the older one to fall into the harbor and drown. And with Mel only suffering a minor bruise on his right shoulder and a light scratch on his left elbow as a result of this battle. "Well finally got that over with and now it time to send this scumbag to jail."

So Mel drags the surviving criminal by the neck to the nearby jail and after he been sent to his cell, did Mel notice that one of the marines that was at the jail at the moment looked somehow familar. Then Mel checks his research papers about the marines that will be in his division and it proves that he can be no one but the leader of the division, who is Takuya Gensai himself.

But before he could catch up with him, he left the prison. So Mel goes up to a fellow marine that was still at the prison and ask him for his living address and since he was a fellow marine, he told Mel that he didn't know but the information room at the marine base should have it. And with that Mel went into the information room at the marine base after restocking on his bombs and his vials of poison from his room and looks up the file on Takuya Gensai since he was quite sure it was him and it had his apartment address on it. Which Mel made sure to memorize the address by heart and then he leaves the marine base to find him.

But before going to his apartment, Mel decides to have a bite to eat at the cafe he was suppose to have met his division members at and had a cup of coffee too in order to regain his strength from that harsh fight he had with those criminals from earlier in the day. After that Mel leaves the cafe after paying for his meal and heads straight to Takuya's apartment door but see someone else that seems somehow familar who wearing a fancy getup knocking on his door first and gets him to open the door to talk to him too.

Mel then goes up to the open door and does the standard marine salute in front of him while saying this to him as well. "Takuya Gensai I presume? And if so, then allow me to introduce myself. I am marine scientist extraordinaire Mel Sharp and reporting for duty to this fine division. And pardon my lateness but I had some unexpected business that I had to attend to, that I could not have waited on. Now what is my first order?" And with that Mel waited to see if he had said this to the right marine, as well as to find out his first order in this division to see if he was correct.
