Back in the middle of the North Blue, was an island that almost always seemed to be fighting. The residents of the island had long raged a war against the local Kingdom that was on the island, and it seemed for the longest time that the two sides of the fight were evenly matched, with the slightly better weapons of the Empire being matched by the fighting spirit of the rebels and their forces, fighting for their own freedom and being out of the control of the local Government. This war has affected the island in a numerous amount of ways, seeing as it literally has split the island’s people in two, with the middle of the island basically being nothing more of deserted towns and villages. The name of the island had even been kept hidden from the people after a while into the war a number of years ago, and the rebels and Government simply call the island “Warzone” Island after all it has gone though from the numerous amount of years. Only the very higher ups of the Island know the name of the island anymore, though one of the things that the Rebels wanted to make sure that they did when they freed they island, call it its original name that it had from their ancestors. The large island was coming up on a small wooden ship in the North Blue. It’s only passenger, a boy with dark brown hair, was inside the cabin with a few of his tools, fixing up his right arm with a screwdriver to make sure that all of his fingers stayed in place and wouldn’t fall out while he was doing stuff. ”There we go,” He said, setting the tool down on the table again just as he stood up, flexing his fingers around to make sure everything was in order with his arm at the current moment. ”I should probably check on the island before too long as well…” The teen said, first of all walking to where the boat had what he called a ‘kitchen’ which mainly was a place for a fire to cook things with and a small icebox where he kept some of his fuel source, the Blue Phoenix Energy drink, at. Opening the box, Edward leaned down and scooped out one of the full bottles, before closing it and standing straight up again. Popping the tab of the bottle, the Inventor turned and headed for the door of his cabin before looking out at the front of his boat at the large island coming up in front of the teen’s boat. He couldn’t exactly tell any specifics of the island that was coming up on him, but he knew that he was still in the North Blue, so he knew that he could figure out where he was within enough time and depending on when he could get an accurate map of the Blue on this island. ”I may want to stock up on fuel before I land,” Ed said, before he took a large sip of his Cyborg fuel as he felt that his energy within his mechanical limbs was increasing just as the drink was going into his body. ”I think I’m addicted to this stuff,” Ed chuckled to himself, before looked at his empty left hand as he looked it over just to make sure that it was working properly as well. Seeing as it was, the young Inventor turned around and started heading back into the cabin to make sure that he had enough supplies for the next island that he was going to. About a half an hour later, and after Ed had double checked all of his Cybernetics were in top condition again, he walked out onto deck of the boat just to see his ship pulling pretty close to the land of the island. He didn’t think about it too much, but he did see that the color of the land he was pulling up to seemed to be a few shades darker than the rest of the island, though of course he just assumed it was because of the difference of islands that people see from where they go everywhere. He hadn’t seen too many islands in his lifetime, seeing as this was his third island, though his second one was just a little floating marketplace that shouldn’t really be considered an island in the first place. When the boat was within jumping distance of the island, the teen went over and dropped his makeshift anchor over the side of the boat, which took him a minute seeing as he wasn’t the strongest Cyborg in the blues. Regardless though, when it was tossed over and the boat anchored to a spot, Ed stepped back a bit, finishing off his Blue Phoenix drink, before tossing it to the boat floor and taking a running start from the boat before jumping across the gap between the boat and the island easily, landing on the shore as he made an imprint in the earth that he landed on. ”Let’s start this exploration now!” Ed said, starting to run inland on the island, heading north for the time being, following the oddly colored dirt as he did so. He assumed that if he did follow the middle of the island, he would find something amazing or cool along the middle of the island. His Cyborg Limbs made slight 'whirring' noises as he ran, as the mechanics within his body parts while he did his running. |
