Location:A small cove large enough to shelter an entire boat from the rain. There are many crags in the back of this cove, and a large amount of smooth stone in front that is sturdy and smooth enough to be used for footing. The pieces of rock in the front are charred, as if many explosions had gone off here. Gasp... Gasp... 'I... can't fall. I am a proud marine. If I let these juvenile brats win then my dignity is gone. Especially since a child's life is at stake. I am Ensign Valant! I will not lose to such untrained barbarians!' Valant was holding a blade up, body weakly drifting to the ground, but every time it did he pulled himself back up into a standing position. "Agh..." he gasped out almost toppling over, catching himself with his left foot. "Why don't you just kill him captain? He's hardly with our time! We'll take him out with one bloody and loud BOOM! Please of pleeeease let me captain! Fizzle Fizzle Fizzle Fizzle!" a fat man laughed out. This man had sunglasses screwed to his skull, giving him a very inhuman look. Especially due to how pale his skin was. On his head was a rubber hat that was held firmly against his head, holding all of what would be his hair underneath. His sleeves covered his hands, his large collar covered his mouth, and his feet was covered by thick boots. So the only skin that was visible was his nose and the skin around and above his eyes. Besides his face, his body was completely covered in this plastic substance that his hat was made out of. "Enough Corin! Your silly games will cause an unnecessary mess on the ship! Don't be so reckless, and allow your skill to shine through rather then the brute force of your attacks. Doing so will allow you to study your work after destroying it. Captain! Allow me to show our friend here how you properly dispose of marine trash!" a tall man said with a stern face insisted. He looked about as young as Pruhhen did. His head was shaved, and so was his entire abdomen, which could clearly be seen because of the lack of shirt. His body could be seen to be very well toned, especially his abs. His arms were also well shaved. What he were was some loose fitting gray shorts, and very large diver flippers. It looked like he was ready to jump into the water at any moment. On his hands were some very shiny and well polished steel knuckles. Like Corin, his skin was also very pale. "Ah heh heh heh! You're right Nell, but I want to give the honor to our newest crew mate. Arashi?" he asked sadistically looking to the fishman nearby, holding the child Teal under his arm. "We've seen your hesitance and weakness, but why not show us you aren't just a weakling! Kill this man!" Pruhhen insisted pointing to Valant. Valant cringed, knees buckling. There was blood running off his skull and his abdomen. 'Pruhhen... he must be a devil fruit user! That fog... comes out of no where, and it just appears when he throws his arm forward. It makes no sense.' "Let the child go!" the marine yelled, desperately. He earnestly wanted to save Teal, but he was too weak, and he couldn't understand his foes powers at all. "I... I won't lose to you!" he yelled, struggling to hold his head up. Corin pounced from one foot to another. "Aaaawww! C'mon captain! Shooting him is so boring! At least let Nell tear him to shreds! At least that is fun to watch!" he insisted, twisting from side to side. "I want something to play with and it's been sooooooooo looooooong! At least make it fun to watch!" Nell let out a hmph. "...It matters very little to me, but what about Newl captain?" he asked. "Is he still following us?" the young man questioned. "Pah! I left him in another trail of fog! There's no way he'd find us! Stupid, huh?" he asked. ----- Liun had his arms held out to the side, absorbing the precipitation around him. "That was idiotic of Pruhhen to try to trap us in another fog! Now that Liun is actually being useful we can use this fog as a trail to lead us to his base! Right Peppy?" he asked looking around, back stretching out a bit. "By the way Peppy! You might have guessed it, but Liun is a devil fruit user too! Why not write some notes as we make our way huh?" he asked. "Also, why not bandage my wounds, they sort of hurt" he mentioned dully. Liun grimaced and frowned at what Newl said, head held a bit downcast. It was embarrassing to eat such a seemingly useless devil fruit. Edited by Kiosk_Uploader, Jul 19 2010, 07:39 PM.

The events within the past week had all happened so fast that Peppy could hardly keep up. It seemed that they had re-gained and lost a crew member in a matter of hours and at the same time had gotten the little boy that hung around the boat kidnapped. Lucky for Peppy, Newl seemed unfazed by what had unfolded and he had kept a level head on him. Peppy and Newl got back on the boat, it seemed that Newl had also made some other friends on his previous adventures because the Newports had an unlikely ally. His name was Liun and he seemed to have the unique ability to absorb precipitation around him. As Peppy saw Liun absorbed the mist his interests were perked, Could I have possibly found a second devil fruit within a few days? Being on the Newports Pirates is already having its benefits. Hopefully this man wont mind my prodding. Peppy was not sure if this man had some other trick up his sleeve, but all the signs were pointed to a devil fruit user. Peppy started to pull out his book once again. "That was idiotic of Pruhhen to try to trap us in another fog! Now that Liun is actually being useful we can use this fog as a trail to lead us to his base! Right Peppy?" Indeed captain. It shows that even the seemingly most useless of powers can change the flow of a battle. As if Newl had read Peppy's mind he added, "By the way Peppy! You might have guessed it, but Liun is a devil fruit user too! Why not write some notes as we make our way huh? Also, why not bandage my wounds, they sort of hurt" Peppy nodded. Yes Captain, let me see here..... Peppy found his portable kit and started to rumage through. He pulled out a few different things. I bet you are feeling the effects of Gray's fight by now. Your bones may not break, but they certainly can bruise. Now lucky for you that is much easier to treat. There is not much I can do right now besides dull the pain and put some solvent over any of the open cuts. Peppy said all this while he was taking care of his captain. The fight had taken his tole on Newl, but nothing that really needed any serious treatment. It seemed that the main thing Peppy needed to solve was just numbing the pain. He had Newl drink a small vial of white fizzing liquid. That should help with the pain. Peppy then wrapped Newl with clean and tightened bandages. It kept enough pressure that the wounds should not re-open or bleed. Now if that is all....then I might just....Ask this other man a few questions. Peppy ran to the man with the eagerness of a child. He a had an almost creepy grin on his face as he started to talk to Liun. I hope you don't mind, but is that a devil fruit in your possession? It seems that are you able to absorb precipitation, is that correct? I dont know if you are aware of the terms paramecia, zoan, or logia? Bt if you are would you be able to categorize your supposed devil fruit? Peppy stopped to catch his breath. He was going to continue to ask questions until he realized that he had not given the man any chance to responded. He had hoped that these barrage of questions would not scare the man enough that he could not reply. |

Dark and dreary, Arashi pointed his colourless eyes up at the cloud consumed sky with his equally dull gaze, his twisted figure perched against the railings of the ship all the meanwhile doing so. Less than willing to even look at Pruhhen let alone his two cronies, the young fishmen had long since sought refuge at the far side of the ship, paying little heed to the pitiful marine captive onboard. Despite being far from a medic, the man’s bruised body plainly revealed that he would be dead soon enough, even if Pruhhen didn’t decide to shorten his life by what little he had left. “What is it with you and that annoying laugh, Corin?” Arashi muttered under his breath, a hint of detest swelling up in his eyes as he did so. Though the boat was safely protected from the rain by the craggy walls surrounding the area, the fishman couldn’t help but cringe as the wind blew several droplets onto his blotched grey skin. Like sweet nectar, even the slightest taste would compel him to dive into the dark ocean, though reluctantly the pirate held back his urges out of fear that he would lose the tough persona he had painstakingly built up upon joining Pruhhen’s crew. With his poncho now fluttering about in the wind and threatening to drag him into the sea anyway, Arashi soon retreated from his solitude and rejoined the rest of his so called allies. Though he despised the crew, the young fishman had little choice but to side with them, after all they were his free ticket back to the redline. Either way, Arashi never really has any morals when it comes to using people, especially when it was for something as urgent as his goal. “Me, hesitant? Let’s not forget who’s the one that has to cover up for Corin’s mistakes.” He stated harshly, shifting the blame towards the most hated member of the group. “Too bad you’re not a girl, or I just might have been compelled to save you.” Arashi thought to himself as his eyes locked with the marine captive. Perverse thoughts of women in uniform beginning to cloud his head, the fishman gave a swift shrug before attempting to cover his less than elegant grin with his gloved left hand. “Just give the word. Captain.” The pirate bellowed coldly. At that instant his hand descended towards his holster, pulling out a revolver sharply before pressing the barrel against the marines skull. (OOC: Sorry for the late post, I've been busy with school work and stuff.) |

The marine had his head held down, quietly feeling his doubts consume him. It came forth from his inner being and took him over. Valant had failed! He couldn't stop Pruhhen, or save the kid, so now he was dead, and that was all there was to it. Like the way his heart was sinking deep into his being, his knees too sunk to the ground, only using his unstable arms to hold him up. --- Newport blinked a few time peering through the fog as it was thinning. What he saw in before him was the outline to a cove. The teen ran to the front of the ship and looked to Liun. "Alright... that's enough Liun. You should probably step back. We don't want Pruhhen to know your are here..." he explained coolly, head held down indignantly. Liun nodded quietly, pulling his arms back to his side, stepping down from the edge of the ship, and to the staircase that lead to the lower deck, however he stopped to have a look towards the base. Finally, Newl will find his answers. Since his meeting with Pruhhen, since the moment he heard his name. He has had quiet the profound and serious queries. Now finally, now that they have arrived at their place of headquarters he would be able to get his long needed answers. Newl held his head up, looking through the thinned fog. It was thin enough that he could clearly see what was before him, yet when he looked over the edge of the ship he couldn't see the waters below. This concerned him, a bit, but he put these feelings aside and held his head high. --- Once seeing the broken condition he had rendered the marine to, Pruhhen snickered. He was pleased that he was able to bring such a proud and dedicated marine to his knees. There he buckled under the stress. "...Alright Arashi. Why not load your gun? Let's put him out of his misery!" the pirate insisted, holding his hand outward, in the direction of the man before him. "Surely he is crushed! Surely with such dishonor in his heart he'd rather die! He couldn't even save a single snot nosed brat! He was even captured by one of the weakest no name pirates this sea has to offer! Let his life end so that he'll be able to lose all of his shame!" Pruhhen loudly proclaimed. --- Newport smirked a bit to himself getting ready to jump off the ship and to the ground below. He was eager to find Pruhhen and finally get his answers. However he was taken off guard by a sudden rumbling the ship made. "No..." Newl said, with fearful and awestruck eyes. "...It... It can't be!" There was a strange sense of unsteadiness in his voice. Liun blinked a few times looking to Newl a bit concerned. 'Is he scared to fight Pruhhen?' A sense that showed weakness in his heart! It was the sound of fear. "I-I've got to stop it before..." he exclaimed, suddenly getting cut off as the ship suddenly jerked a bit from hitting land. Newl stumbled, stopping himself just in time. However, the mast swung around, swinging the roped hook that held the supplies before around. This hook sunk it's way into the back of Newl's vest and threw him forward, lifting him briskly off the ground. The sudden movements caused Newl's flimsy shirt to rip all the way through. In turn this sent Newport tumbling into the water below. "Agggggh!!!!" he yelled, making a loud splash into the water. --- Pruhhen was about to give the final order to have Arashi kill the marine, but a sudden yell, and splash interrupted his concentration. "Wait, Arashi... save your ammo. I think we just had a more serious enemy drop in on us... We should let him watch us kill him! I betcha that'll teach him to come after us. Nell... go and capture our little intruder!" he ordered throwing his hand toward the side of the ship. Nell nodded, grabbing some swimming goggles, and some rope as he made his way to the edge of the ship. "Hmm... did you notice that Arashi? Our captain wants me to capture an enemy in the water, and he asked me, not you. Just remember that I am a better swimmer." he arrogantly bragged to his fishman acquaintance. Without another word he jumped into the watery depths over the side of their docked ship, which was anchored in the cover cozily. Nell started to swim to through the water as fast as he could, spotting Newl, with a sadistic smirk. His speed underwater was almost inhuman, and he was catching up to Newl quickly. The teenager looked around through the water seeing the enemy swimming towards him. He cringed noticeably and started to swim as fast as he could to the surface. Nell simply smirked, with a scrunched eyebrow, able to catch up to Newl before he could reach the surface. The teenager swung his right arm forward in a punch to knock Nell back, but the enemy was able to avoid it. With Newl's force being weakened by the water, his attacks were considerably slower. The foe took this opportunity to grab Newport by his foot and spin him through the water, to cause him to become disoriented. After doing this he quickly grabbed Newl's arms and tied them up, tightly. Seconds later, Nell had thrown Newport through the surface and onto the paved stone pathway in the cove. Newl was coughing violently trying to catch his breath. "H-How can you swim so fast?" he asked looking up at Nell annoyed, started to stand up, but was quickly kicked back to the ground. Nell then continued to properly tie him up to keep him from giving much resistance. "Gah! Take me to your captain baldy!" he exclaimed, struggling to get out of the ropes. "What!? Grr.. if you must know I have trained myself for years in the waters. I am an expert swimmer among experts. You surely have no understanding of the extent of the human's abilities are do you?" the foe merely asked, arms crossed. "You will see the captain... and you won't fight me in the slightest." he explained picking him up by the ropes, and running over to the ship. Once there he roughly dropped him onto the ground. "Gah! Pruhhen!!!" he yelled struggling to get free. "I've got some questions for you!" he yelled. Newl grimaced a bit once he saw the condition of the marine from before, eyes softening from disbelief. 'That... marine... He's a bloody mess on the ground.' Newport's eyes then hardened, anger filling his heart. How could someone be so cruel to another person like this! It appeared as though that this marine was completely defeated already, yet it appeared as though that these pirates continued their abuse even after he had fallen. "First question!" he yelled fiercely, struggling to break the ropes even more. "W-Why!? Why did you treat this marine so brutally!? Are you not human at all!?" he demanded with a fierceness in his eyes. "I-I'll kill you Pruhhen! You kidnap innocent girls, you kill your own men, you force children into doing your bidding, and now this!? It's easy for me to ignore a lot of things! But to mutilate a warrior after he's been defeated is disgusting!" he yelled, teeth clenching uncontrollably. Newl's arms started to tense and, he started to pull on the ropes as hard as he could, still unable to break them. The teen acted with great animosity trying to break the ropes, but only wore himself down. "I'll... break these ropes... then I'll kill you..." he commented, letting his tensed muscles relax. Nell smirked a bit. "Captain, is he really a pirate? Does he not understand what we do?" he asked, smirking a bit to himself. Corin grimaced. "Fizzle Fizzle Fizzle! What a moron! Captain can I kill him now please!?" the overweight man insisted. Through Newl's rant Pruhhen was smirking, arrogantly. "Newl... you idiot... You came out to sea to become a pirate still with that soft and weak heart... Well I'll teach you a few things. Perhaps it will harden what you believe in. Corin! Go and make sure that his crew won't intervene! Their boat is right outside the cove. Kill them even!" he said throwing his arm outward to the exit of the aforementioned cove. Newl grimaced, teeth clenching again. His eyes became tense, and he continued to struggle to break free. Corin laughed a bit insanely. "Fizzle Fizzle! Yeah! I getta kill someone!" he exclaimed running down the bridge to the paved stone, using this pathway to make it to the Crackel, just outside of the cove. "No! Don't you touch them!" Newport yelled, starting to worm his way toward the bridge. Pruhhen suddenly kicked Newl in his side, sending him skidding to the edge of the ship, slamming into it harshly. "Ack!" he desperately gasped out, cough up a bit of blood. 'Wh-What's with that inhuman stregnth?' he wondered to himself cringing intently, desperately trying to break his bindings some more. "And Nell... get the girl... we're going to have a demonstration! We'll kill her in front of his eyes! That old man won't actually keep his end of the deal! We won't need here anymore anyways!" he proclaimed. Nell smirked a bit, slowly walking to the entrance of their ship. "Yeah... I've been wanting to try out my new weapon. She should chop up real nicely" he merely noted darkly. The teen's eyes darkened a bit, and he lurched at Nell's feet and bit onto it. "Don't touch that girl" he said, looking up from the ground. Nell cringed and kicked Newl off. "There's nothing you can do you weakling. Just sit there and let our captain teach you a lesson in the life or pirates. You see... real pirates have no remorse or regret for the things they do. No matter how bad it hurts someone, or who they are" he explained, smirking sadistically. "So sorry boy... but I'm gonna take her life now" he said starting to walk to the entrance of the ship. --- Fizzle Fizzle Fizzle... BOOM!!!!! Liun's eyes went wide as he toppled to the ground from the way the ship teetered back and forth due to the power of a nearby explosion. "Oh no! I-It's Corin!" he exclaimed. Corin was suddenly standing on the edge of the ship's railing. "Yes it is me! And I am here to kill you! To kill you! To kill you! Toooooooo...." he sang out in a high pitched voice. "Kiiiiiiill yoooooooou!" he finished with one high pitched squeak. The bomber looked to Peppy. "Oh! What do we have here!? Some ugly monster it would seem! Come here! I want to kill you first!" he laughed out jumping down onto the ship's deck. I'll kill the lucky weakling over there second!" he said referring to Liun. "Peppy! That guy is powerful! We should just run away!" Liun insisted, standing back up. Edited by Kiosk_Uploader, Jul 28 2010, 03:05 PM.

His grip tightening, Arashi brushed his finger against the cold trigger of his pistol before preparing to press down on it, waiting only for Pruhhen to end his speech before doing so. Taking what felt like hours to do so however, it seems the opportunity had long since past as the fishmans gaze caught glimpse of something crashing into the water. “An enemy?” He questioned, readying himself as the captain of the ship gave out new orders. “Tch.” Less than pleased by Pruhhen’s indecisive nature, the pirate whacked the marine captive over the head with his pistol, settling for knocking him out rather than doing nothing. Though every fibre of his body wanted to kill the marine, Arashi certainly wasn’t foolish enough to oppose Pruhhen, especially when his two lackeys were so close by. As if he want annoyed enough however, Nell’s comment just further pushed him into the depths of rage. “Well then Nell, if you love the captain so much, why don’t you marry him?” The fishman jested, keeping his voice just low enough so that Pruhhen did not overhear. It was undeniable that Nell was inhumanly fast underwater; however comparing those speeds to that of which a fishman can achieve was just ridiculous. “I know I’ve said this before, but I really am going to kill you one day.” Arashi thought to himself, his face grimacing as Nell disappeared into the dark blue ocean. Dropping his pistol back into its rightful holster, the fishman leaned over the edge of the ship slightly, his eyes scanning the waters for movement before they locked with the enemy. “I’m guessing that big guys Newl.” He muttered to himself, awaiting for the inevitable moment in which the foe would be captured by Nell. “Tsk. Your names are way too similar… It’s pissing me off.” The pirate contemplated, a look of detest swelling in his eyes before launching himself onto the jagged cove. Landing on the stone floor with a thud, Arashi walked over toward Nell just in time to hear him being insulted by the new captive. “Heh. Baldy. Maybe you’re not so annoying after all brat.” Arashi laughed, his comment being aimed at Newl. “Too bad. Your going to die.” With those cold words marking the beginning of the brats demise, the fishman pulled out his gun, not bothering to aim in the slightest what with only a few feet separating him from his target. Instead his colourless eyes only gazed at the enemy pirate momentarily, parting with little else but a gaze before pulling down on the trigger. The gunshot was loud, easily echoing throughout the confines of the cove for several seconds before fading away into nothingness. At that moment silence struck, only to be interrupted by several pebble sized rocks descending onto the ground. He had missed, that much was clear. Instead of killing Newl, the bullet had left a smouldering hole on the cliff face behind him, clearly having just narrowly missing its mark. “We-” Arashi yelled, his sentence cutting off abruptly as he turned to face the captains location. “We… HAVE A GIRL ON BOARD!?” The fishmen yelled, his arms flailing around wildly in the air like a child, highly contrasting his cold and serious mood from earlier. |

Corin grimaced as he noticed only Liun was present. Much to his dismay, he looked around the deck and only found that one weakling. "... Hmph are you all they have to offer me! Fizzle...! Come now! I could kill you without my bombs! You'll be dead! You'll be dead! Yooooou'll be deeeeeead!" Corin started spinning in place as he did before. "Okay! Enough games enough fun times! Let us start the real games and the real fun times!" he exclaimed running at Liun. Liun shivered a bit frightened and started running away. "Nooo! Go away!" he yelled running to the upper decks on the Crackel. 'I-I can't fight this guy! Newl! SAVE ME!!!!' he pathetically whined in his mind. --- Pruhhen looked to Arashi with a raised eyebrow. "...Yeah. What of it Arashi? Is there something else absurd you want to say besides those stupid jokes that are spewing out of your mouth?" The captain asked head held a bit high, looking to the fishman sniper with an a scrunched eyebrow, walking over to Newl, sadistically stepping down onto his struggling body. "Don't disappoint me... Arashi..." he said harshly, head tilting to the side. "Show weakness and I won't hesitate from killing you. "Aah! Let go!" a voice of a teenage girl screeched out as she came into view from behind the entrance of the ship. Nell had the back of the girl's head tightly held in his hand. She desperately struggled, starting to even cry visible tears. "M-My big brother's really gonna hurt you guys w-when he figures out how you've been treating me!" she yelled desperately. "So you better let me go right.. Aggh!" she yelled suddenly being back handed by Nell. She slammed into the ground, with a bright red stinging imprint on the side of her face. "...Shutup... you annoying girl..." Nell responded harshly. Pruhhen tossed his cohort a dagger, which was aptly caught. "Now... let the show begin" the man said walking menacingly towards her. She scampered, back on the floor against the deck. Fear completely consumed her eyes, clumsily pressing herself against the side of the ship. "Don't!" "Hmm?" Pruhhen asked looking down at Newl as he began to speak. The enemy captain tilted his head to the side confused, studying his pathetic little foe under his foot. There seemed to be something stirring from within him. "You!" Nell firmly and quickly lifted the girl off the floor by her cheeks, sinisterly pressing the dull side of the dagger against her neck. The cold steel sent a chill down the girl's spine. It's menacing touch caused her to lose her breath and her face to become pale. This caused a sadistic and involuntary grin to form across the diver's face. He somehow found pleasure in the terror that the innocent and defenseless girl felt. "TOUCH HER!" Newl yelled as one sudden burst of strength caused him to burst through the ropes. The sudden force caused Pruhhen to topple back and crash on the ground behind him. With this second of chance Newl jumped up and charged the diver. "Adrenaline!" he yelled in a fierce voice. Pruhhen blinked surprised. "Nell! Watch out!" he yelled, cringing considerably. "Potent.. Quake!" Newl yelled out, swinging an open palmed punch across Nell's jaw, which was positioned right in front of his hand as Nell looked around to see what his captain was talking about. The diver's body shook subtly, and he quietly took a few steps back. Eyes rolled back, mouth significantly bleeding. It looked like a one hit knock out. With one fidget here or there the foe toppled to the ground silently. The teen looked down at the girl with stern, yet somewhat concerned eyes. She looked up at Newl surprised, but simply jumped up and hid comfortably behind Newl. The captain looked to Pruhhen and readied himself in a fighting stance. "Pruhhen... You'll fight me now... I'm gonna make you pay for your crimes today. Starting with the crime of poor wording." he simply and coolly mentioned. Newl looked to the girl behind him. "...Go to that fishman over there. He won't hurt you" he whispered to the girl behind him. Newport wasn't too sure, but due to the fishman's reaction, he felt as though the other could be trusted. The girl nodded and briskly ran over the wooden bridge and to the fishman who was on the paved stone cove. Pruhhen stood to his feet looking very off guard and shocked. "You... took Nell out in one hit... But... how?" he asked cringing. The enemy captain raised an eyebrow. "Poor wording?" he asked in an annoyed voice, that conveyed the message:Oh boy... It had that certain groan in his tone. "What exactly do you mean by poor wording? Are you some grammar pirate now?" he asked a bit mockingly. "Nah.. I'm talking about your name. It's very deceptive." he said with an arrogantyet serious look on his face. Despite his somewhat carefree demeanor, there was still something serious about the way he held himself. Probably because of how he relentlessly held his hands up in his fighting stance. He wasn't gonna let his guard down for even a second. "Deceptive!?" Pruhhen exclaimed starting to laugh at the absurdity of his foe's words. "How can a name be deceptive!?" he insistently asked. "That name... makes you sound like a joke!" Newl loudly declared pointing at him as if to add effect to his word. "But you are by no means a joke. You are just as cruel as any other pirate! I thought you were just some prepubescent teenager trying to be cool! No, your name choice was actually just ridiculous!" he exclaimed. "But enough of this! I'm trying to be serious here! Pruhhen! I should kill you!" he continued to yell charging him. Pruhhen cringed and pulled back as though he was just hit really hard, perhaps it was his ego which took the blow. 'I'm not the one joking around here...' he thought to himself looking toward Newl with an irritated expression. "Ah well..." he mumbled holding his hand out, fog suddenly consuming the area as Newl was about to swing to punch him. Naturally he missed. "What!?" the teen exclaimed as he was knocked to the ground from behind by a carefully made attack to the back of his neck. Newl toppled to the ground, coughing a bit from the jarring effect of the attack. "H-How did you do that! You don't have a devil fruit do you?" he asked standing up, shaking off how the attack had made him unstable. Then teen closed his eyes, and gritted his teeth. Listening intently to his surroundings, there was something he could hear. What was that!? It... it sounded like moving gears. Newl opened his eyes and looked around, trying to find the source of the noise. Pruhhen snickered holding his arms at a bend. "...What if I do? Not like I'd tell you anyways!" he exclaimed moving his arms carefully to his sides, making sure not to let his arms leave the bent state that they were in. Newl looked at Pruhhen intently. "It's not..." The other looked a bit taken off guard. 'How did he figure that out so quickly?' Edited by Kiosk_Uploader, Aug 20 2010, 06:19 AM.

As Pruhhen spoke the atmosphere became heavy and tense, the seriousness of the situation only now being reflected onto Arashi as his hands came crashing down like a pair of weights. The comical look etched onto his face had now all but dissolved away, leaving little else except solemn rage, the signs of which more than obvious as the fishman glared attentively at his captain. Though the young pirate usually takes care in making an effort to hide his detest toward Pruhhen, this time he just couldn’t hold it in. “You don’t want me disappointing you? Looks like you didn’t have much faith in me anway, seeing how I wasn’t told about that girl.” Arashi preached, his eyes collapsing into a squint before doing so. “And more importantly…” He muttered. His sentence cutting off into a long pause as the fishman redirected his attention to Nell and his little captive. The pirate could do little else but watch as Nell had his fun with the girl, tossing her around and beating her just for his amusement. “…Why…” Though she retreated back it was clearly all in vein, there was just no way she could escape from the confines of the ship. “…Why… WASN’T I THE ONE WHO GOT TO TIE HER UP!?” Arashi screamed, his voice echoing throughout the surrounding area for all its inhabitants to hear. Though his crewmates were oblivious to his perverse nature, surely after yelling such a thing out it could no longer be kept a hidden fact. Having spoken out of impulse rather than using his head, the pirates words ended with an rather pain filled awkward silence, a less than elegant smile soon stretching across his face in a futile attempt to cover things up. Mercifully however before the fishman could be judged, Newl had managed to free himself from the ropes binding him, now making him the centre of attention. Less than willing to stop him, Arashi only watched as his foe charged toward Nell, delivering a punch that almost instantly knocked him out. “Another thing I didn’t get to do…” The fishman contemplated, though before those thoughts could be said, the sight of the cowering girl caught his attention. “Damn you, stealing all the glory… I was supposed to be the one to save her… She should be rubbing herself against me!” The pirate muttered, a sense of jealousy flaring up inside him as he toke great care in keeping his voice just low enough so that no one would over hear. “SUCKER!” Where the words that he wanted to scream out as his foe ordered the girl to retreat to the fishman's side, though instead he held it in, after all Arashi didn’t want to give the girl any wrong impressions of him, however right they may be. “Stay in front of me, you’ll be easier to protect.” The pirate stated heroically. His motives on the other hand were less justified however as his true goal was nothing less than gaining a better view of her. His grin growing all the more disturbing, Arashi’s ‘inspection’ was soon interrupted as he removed his eyes from the girl and instead focused them on the ongoing conflict between the captain and Newl. “It’s that fog again…” |

Newl closed his eyes, and held his head down, sending himself into a meditative state. "Superb.... concentration..." he quietly mumbled to himself. The teen's surroundings darkened around him, as far as his hearing was concerned. All of his concentration was set onto Pruhhen's movements and his body. Click click click. 'What's that noise?' he thought to himself quietly. Whistle whistle whistle. 'I hear the wind... it's whistling very quietly.' Pruhhen forwned and started to walk towards Newl. "Hey! You think you can just close your eyes and act like I'm not here!?" he asked completely ignoring Arashi. As his movements came closer, so were the noises becoming more apparent. The noises, they were working and moving in sync with one another. As though they were a well oiled machine. '...a well oiled... machine.... A... A MACHINE!' Newl quietly thought to himself. Pruhhen grimaced and charged at Newl, while keeping his arms bent. "Ah! So you think you can keep ignoring me like that huh!?" he demanded suddenly slamming his body against Newl's. The sudden force sent the teen slamming against the wall. "Agh!!!!" Newl desperately yelled feeling his bones pop several times. 'Urgh... what's with his attacks. They're so rough that they are making my bones pop like this! Didn't he just slam his body into my own!!! What's going on!?' Newl quietly thought to himself cringing considerably. He stood up smirking a bit, eye lid unsteadily staying open. "Heh... is that it? Is this profound mysterious power of yours that straight forward!?" he asked looking at him a bit arrogantly. "Your... using a machine!" he exclaimed loudly, throwing his arm out to the side to emphasize the meaning behind his words. Pruhhen snickered a bit. "Wow you aren't as stupid as you look! I mean I guess that's sort of right, but it's not right enough for you to defeat me! You see, my body has been hardened by certain tests I have forced myself to endure." he explained, with a sadistic smirk forming on his lips. "I don't care what your master taught you. You see Newl this time it's different. This time, my body will break yours!" he yelled. Newport frowned, intently studying this foe of his, and in a quick flash of memory, he remembered. He subconsciously rubbed the back of his head where he had been hit many times as a kid. He held his side, where rocks had punctured him, but then he felt the edge of his own fist. It was burning, it was burning passionately. The feeling of some kid's face could be felt on his knuckles once again. "...Y-You use to be one of my bullies. Nathaniel... but the Nataniel I know wasn't so pale. What did you do to yourself!? Is all of this really because of how I beat you up that one time? I mean you and your friends were pretty cruel to me. It's not like you didn't have it coming..." he simply noted. Nathaniel, aka Pruhhen, let out a pleased hmph. "Ah? Is that all you remember?" he asked starting to step back, with a menacing glare on his face. Newl scowled and started to follow after him, to keep his foe from getting too much ground from himself. Pruhhen snickered under his breathe. "Cause there's a little more to be remembered then that..." he explained. Newl scowled again. "What are you talking about!? You just left Newport as soon as I had beaten the crap out of you! You and your dad!" he exclaimed. As he said this Nell quietly stood to his feat, holding a strange machine with a spinning blade at it's end, which seemingly came from no where. "You see... you had more bullies then just myself Newl..." he said smirk becoming more and more sadistic. Nell silently snuck up behind Newl, as the blade quietly got louder and started to spin faster. |

With his eyes fixed on the battle, if such a barbaric exchange of punches could even be called that, Arashi dared not avert his gaze as he continued leering at Pruhhen with a look of sorrow plaguing over him. Reaching the grand line was the fishman’s goal and hence his motive for joining such a ridiculous crew. Though he hadn’t exactly betrayed anyone yet, it was more than likely his captain would misunderstand the reasoning behind wanting to protect the girl; such were the thoughts the young pirate was forced to contemplate over. “Looks like he’s figured it out.” Arashi whispered to himself as his foe triumphantly revealed the inner workings of Pruhhen’s so called power. Though his captain rarely made little effort in explaining the inner workings of his contraption, the fishman had little need to know such trivial things. All that mattered was that it was the source of the strange fog that so many had labelled as a devil fruit ability. Though no enemy had figured this out before and forced Pruhhen to discard using such trickery, it could only be assumed that without his inventions he was nothing more than a weakling, or at least that was the hope the pirate so desperately clinged onto. All further hopes of that being the case were quickly dashed however as Pruhhen mentioned something about his strange body. “There’s another thing he didn’t trust me enough to mention…” Arashi thought to himself. At first the young pirate didn’t really have much against Pruhhen, he simply just didn’t like him. A form of detest in its most simplest form. However now the fishman couldn’t help but give a scornful look each time his eyes locked with his captain’s figure. Something had to be done. Raising a brow, Arashi gave a cold grin upon the realization that the answer had been staring him in the face all this time. Though he could never push himself into harming a lady, killing that Newl guy on the other hand wouldn’t be that hard at this range, not to mention it would at last help earn him the captains trust. “What!?” The fishman muttered, the arm gripping his gun freezing upon noticing Nell in the background. “Him again… Always stealing my glory…” Spoken with clear signs of spite and malice, the pirate aimed his gun at the targets chest, pressing down on the trigger with not an ounce of hesitance. “It really pisses me off!” At that moment the bullet was fired, however not a Newl. Its cold touch was meant for Nell and him only. Edited by Shinzu, Aug 21 2010, 08:00 AM.

Pow! "Agh!" Nell yelled toppling to the ground. The bullet had found it's way nicely into his left arm. The man's eyes quivered, as he held his hand up to his burning arm. Blood, blood was seeping through the wound at a moderate rate. He stood to his feet, cringing. "Ah... so you were a backstabber all along..." he insisted, walking over to the edge of the ship. "Fine... then. Come get me fish bait..." Nell slipped over the railing and dropped smoothly into the water. Pruhhen grimaced a bit looking to Arashi. "Ah I see how it is! I knew I could never trust you with my crew's inner workings! After I kill Newl here, I'll kill you, then the girl. Enjoy your final hours..." he said snickering looking back to Newl. "Quiet impressive... it seems you were able to sway Arashi without a single word. Ah well it will do you very little good." he explained. "It will also make very little difference to me. You see there is someone after Arashi. I just brought him aboard just to get the prize money in the end. It will be a bit less if he is dead, but that's not a big deal at all!" he proclaimed, starting to laugh a bit rambunctiously. Newl smiled a but looking to Arashi. "Thanks bud" he proclaimed. "...Pruhhen. You said you hardened your body through many tests right? Well I have been training for several years now. Yet the most you could have trained was just a few. How is it that you can hurt me?" he asked grimacing. "... Plus... your body hardly looks like it has been hardened through severe training nor does your disposition reflect this. Tell me how you cheated!" he demanded a bit passionately. The other grimaced a bit. "Like I'd tell you! If I did you'd cheat and do it just to get stronger then me!" he exclaimed starting to charge Newl again, suddenly swinging both hands forward. In a moment of time Newl was consumed by the fog once again. He quickly took a defensive stance. 'I heard it again. It was like gears... what is he doing!?' Newl wondered, eyes becoming closed. "I... I don't understand..." he quietly thought out loud, as Pruhhen prepped a more offensive ability from behind Newl. "But that doesn't mean..." he said, voice raising with the building tensity. Firmly, he held his ground and swung his steel yoyo behind him, the string wrapping around Pruhhen's arm. "...I can't hurt you!!" he exclaimed yanking Pruhhen towards him. "Potent Force!" he exclaimed solidly hitting his foe cleanly across his chin. "Urk..." 'His face was so hard... what... what was that!?' Captain Pruhhen slid across the ground standing up a slight bit dazed. "Heh heh... what's wrong Newl? Did you hurt your elbow?" he asked with a sadistic smirk on his face. |

“Shouldn’t have done that…” Arashi grimaced as his bullet connected with Nell. Though he couldn’t help but smirk as his so called ally fell to the ground, his left arm but completely soaked in blood as it oozed out from the wound, the fishman knew fully the severity of what had been done. As fun as it was injuring such a hated crew mate, there was no doubt that this action would have major repercussions, the main one to be feared being Pruhhen’s wrath. There was now no longer any doubt in his mind; the pirate could no longer be a part of this crew. “Tch. You think I’ll just let you escape?” The fishman pouted as Nell staggered to the edge of the ship before hoping over and into the ocean. Drawing his second pistol with his free hand, Arashi shot a single bullet into the waters depths, aimed carefully at Nell’s distorted silhouette. A rather harsh groan however signalled that the pirate had failed in his attack. Then again it was asking too much in the first place to expect such a weak pistol to be able to shoot anywhere near deep enough into a large body of water to hurt any of its inhabitants, let alone one annoying pirate. Tracking Nell’s location with his solid white eyes, Arashi glared at the oceans depths before reloading both his pistols. “Bud? I’m not your bud!” He stated harshly at Newl’s comment, turning to face the girl upon doing so. “I did it for you, and I ask nought for anything in return. Except your hand in marriage.” Taking the shocked expression on her face as a yes, the fishman dived into the cold ocean. His bloated ego not willing to accept any words of rejection, hence his swift retreat into the dark world where words could not be uttered. “There you are!” Arashi cried upon noticing Nell, his voice albeit muffled by all the water surrounding him. Either way it did not matter, after all breathing underwater is no trouble for a fishman, which is more than what could be said for a human as each passing moment pulled his foe one step closer to drowning. “As fast as you are, there’s no way you can dodge my bullets.” The fishman thought to himself as he aimed his twin pistols momentarily before pressing down on the trigger. “Eh?” The silence said it all. With little else except bubbles escaping from the barrel of the weapons, the pirate continued attempting to fire his pistols, however futile each attempt came to be. “This isn’t good…” |

Nell smirked under the water, as he pulled out two strange machines, moving perfectly as though he wasn't hurt at all. He pointed these two machines, which looked identical to the machine he was using earlier, into the opposite direction of Arashi. The two machines suddenly started spinning and sent the pirate propelling to his fishman foe at an alarming rate, and with a fluid, and somehow quick motion, Nell turned around, using the machine to cut into Arashi. Even if he missed, he would point the machines away from Arashi again to propel himself enough to ram Arashi into the cave's submerged wall. Once Arashi was stunned he'd use this moment to cut into him again. Nell would send himself backwards away from the enemy fishman, in order to study his handy work. "Heh..." he mumbled smirking, scrunching his eyebrow enough. Pulling a mouth piece out from his trunks, his stuck it into his mouth. "Thanks to the captain's inventions I can go faster then any normal human or fishman! I can even talk under water and even breathe. I have you beat! All you can possibly do is shoot bullets... but they are useless under water." he informed. "...After I turn you into sushi, I'll gladly take the girl's life..." he state starting to laugh, accidentally opening his mouth too wide, suddenly charging to the surface, coughing the water up. It seems he isn't the brightest swimmer in the seas. After recovering, he would drop himself back under the water's surface and started to swim back to Arashi. "...I'll kill you now..." he informed, swimming to a large rough machine that was connected to the underside of the ship. After pressing a few buttons, and pulling down a conspicuous lever, the machine retracted several blades, and slowly started to spin, pulling any weak and light objects to it. Nell started to swim away, and back to Arashi. By this point the blades started spinning faster, so fast that it could easily drag in anything that wasn't fighting it's pull. "Unfortunately it can't go much faster then this..." he explained. "But it should be strong enough to suck in a weak swimmer such as yourself." the pirate explained sadistically snickering. --- Newport was subconsciously holding his elbow, which he had used to smack Pruhhen across his face. "...Urg..." he grumbled. 'It doesn't hurt bad... but it hurts. How!? There's no way his bones are denser then mine! I've trained for far too many years to be weaker then him!' he though to himself, eyes shaking a bit unsteadily. Newl looked around his surroundings, frowning. 'This ship is so plain, but something tells me it's not... I can still hear gears... machinery. Where is it coming from!? There doesn't seem to be any sort of machinery on Nathaniel's body... but I can only hear it when I'm really close to him. I-Is it possible...' Newl thought to himself suddenly shuddering. 'No... are we even capable of doing that to a person!?' he wondered to himself, looking Pruhhen in the eyes. "What is it Nathan? Where are your machines at!?" he demanded. Pruhhen snickered a bit. "If I told you that, then I would give away the secret to my strength" he said raising an arrogant eyebrow up. "Aren't you more concerned about how I can break your precious defenses so easily, Newl?" he asked running to him again. "You can just take hits like their nothing anymore!!! Not that your defenses are meaningless I can kill you!" he yelled pulling his fist back. "You're dead!" he yelled abruptly, suddenly swinging his fist forward. "Well you're attacks mean nothing if I can just dodge them all!" he retorted jumping up into the air, grabbing Pruhhen by his head to balance himself. "And it won't hurt if I hit you with something besides my fist!" he proclaimed, suddenly using his weight to swing Pruhhen off his feat and into the ground, causing the flooring of the ship to suddenly crack. "Urgh! Wow... why is he so heavy?" Newl thought to himself, taking a few steps back, breathing in and out heavily. "Ark!" Pruhhen grumbled, biting his lip a bit. "T-That hurt..." Pruhhen mumbled out standing up, arms swinging back and forth a bit unsteadily. "So... you aren't such a straight forward fighter are you Newl? You were holding back on me those years ago." Pruhhen asked frowning, peeved look on his face. The teen smirked a bit. "Of course I wasn't. I've just gotten a lot better since then. Though you were pretty weak then. I guess you, Kale, and Abel have gotten a lot stronger since then. You guys decided to change your names and pretend to be pirates. You know... you might act like pirates, even be as cruel as pirates. You're not strong enough to be called pirates" he explained. There was something that caught Newl's eye, it was a lot of smoke... steam coming out the hand he tried to punch with. His expression became a bit wide, taken back by this sight. "What did you turn yourself into!? Are... are there machines inside your body!?" he asked with a look of disgusted, and unsteady horror on his face. Pruhhen bent down laughing under his breath. "Fine you win. I'll tell you my secret." he said snickering a bit, holding his arms crossed in front of his chest. "I'm a cyborg... do you know what that is Newl?" he asked head tilting a bit, with a disturbingly crooked smile. "A... Cyborg?" "A cyborg is a man who is part human, part machine. For other words I have the strength of a machine, but the understanding of a human! My body is made of steel!" he proclaimed with wide, wild eyes. "I'll crush you and your bones Newl!" The teen grimaced a bit. 'H-He's really part machine....!? H-How can I win?' Edited by Kiosk_Uploader, Aug 22 2010, 02:23 PM.

Dropping both his pistols into their respective holsters, a hint of detest loomed over Arashi’s features as he dared not take his eyes off Nell, what with sudden attacks being his specialty. If it wasn’t bad enough as it is, things could only possibly get worse what with the fishman’s inability to utilise his guns and his treasured fighting style that revolved solely around them. “Gotta wait till he drowns I guess...” The pirate strategized, his hope now pinned on the inevitable moment in which his foes oxygen starved body would simply give up and die. Preparing to launch some sort of attack, Arashi was interrupted in his attempts as his foe brandished two strange machines. Heavily bladed and bearing a striking resemblance to the weapon he had used not to long ago, these contraptions appeared to be fans of some sort. “Now I get it… Even with his inhuman speed underwater, those two things help give him an extra burst of speed.” Though it was a mere theory at first, clearly the fishman was correct as the propulsion from the two inventions shot Nell forwards at frightening speeds. Already prepared for the worst, Arashi darted backwards before his foe flipped over and attempted to cut him through with his spinning blades. Before the fishman could react any further however, he had become caught in the torrent of twisting water and launched further into the oceans depths and onto a jagged stone wall. Cringing under the pain, the pirate used what little energy he had left in order to push himself off the wall and away from his foes second attack, just narrowly missing being lacerated by the windmill like blades. “Idiot.” Attempting to think up a plan as Nell retreated to the surface for air, Arashi’s eye caught glimpse of an expanding trail of red blobs. “His wound!” The fishman yelled, though with little else except a gargling sound emanating from his lips. A closer inspection of the blob revealed it to be a cloud of blood, leaking all the more faster due to Nell being underwater and his abrupt movements caused by the inhuman speeds he was moving at. Admittedly the pirate had found himself feeling slightly cornered when his foe brought out his underwater mouth piece, however now all that remained was to wait until his enemy ran out of blood, leaving his shrivelled up corpse to be claimed by the seas. Clearly though such a thing would take time, something that was against Arashi as Nell triggered some sort of machinery under the ships hull during a lapse of concentration. Resembling a blender over all else, the giant contraption created a suction with its rotation, dragging all manner of sea life to their untimely demise. Though it was painful to admit, Nell was right. Though an immensely fast swimmer, with his earlier injury and low stamina, the pirate had little hope of fighting off exhaustion in an attempt to escape the pull of the artificial whirlpool. This by no means however meant that he had given up. Removing his pair of gloves, Arashi untangled his arms, revealing both to be made up of five menacing tentacles on either side; And each one laced in tiny spines easily capable of latching onto the craggy wall Nell had not to long ago launched the fishman onto. Doing just that, the pirate anchored himself before sparing just a single tentacle and using it to search the sea floor. Finding several fist sized rocks, Arashi grabbed hold of them before thrusting all six of the nearby ones at Nell, using the whirlpools suction to increase the speed of the projectiles as they flew at his figure. |

Psssh!!! Newl quickly ran out of the way of a sudden blast of fog, just for Pruhhen to cause a second blast to meet his foe where he ran. Newl was fast enough to run out of it though. He quickly charged at Pruhhen, and pulled his fist back. "Potency!" "Perfect block!" "Punch!" Newl exclaimed swinging his fist forward, just to slam into Pruhhen's arms which were blocking himself in an X formation. The teen stepped back, cringing considerably. "Dang it!" he grumbled, holding his wrist. Pruhhen quickly ran at Newl while he was distracted, and swung a punch into Newport's face. As the hit connected a blast of fog shot into Newl's face, causing him to gag considerably. The sudden blast of fog and the punch in correlation caused a very uneasy and unsteady feeling to consume Newl. "Urgh. I can't see straight... but what's the point of this fog? As long as I run out of it does him no good." he mumbled to himself. Pruhhen stood tall with a sadistic smirk on his face. "What's wrong Newl? Are you having a difficult time harming me?" he asked, arms crossed a bit arrogantly. "My body has steel plating under the skin to protect me. You might make me hurt a bit, but you can't cause any damage that will really help you in this fight." he explained snickering under his breath. "Your defenses are weak! Mine are strong! You can and will never win this fight!!" he exclaimed. "Now... Foggy Weather!" he exclaimed spinning in place with arms extended. Many fine clouds of fog started to fill the area. Newl stepped back and prepped himself for the worse, but only looked confused, seeing that the clouds were so thin that there was no way it could actually blind him. The captain looked around trying to figure out the point of the attack. There was something odd he noticed... the fog that Pruhhen had already used was sitting in their stationary positions. "...What the? What's going on!?" Newl grimaced and looked to the two unconscious bodies on the ground. The marines... Teal's. He had forgotten about those two. The teen grimaced and started to run to Pruhhen, swinging his arm back. "Potency!" Pruhhen smirked and suddenly held his arms in front of himself to block. "Perfect Block!" he exclaimed. Using this chance, Newl fainted and stepped around Pruhhen, picked Teal up off the ground, ran to the ship's edge, jumped over the water, and landed on the footing the cove provided. This sudden movement was enough to wake up the boy from his unconscious state. "Urgh... Newl?" he asked, as the girl from earlier met them here. Newl frowned a bit, setting the boy down. "Teal... I promise to take you home after I take out this guy... but you've gotta find a safe place for yourself and the girl to go." he explained. "Now leave before... Aaagggggh!" Newl yelled loudly in pain. His body was starting to shake a bit violently and his voice could shakily be heard screaming under his breath. A second later Newl had his head held down, gasping pathetically for breath, struggling to look around. "An... electro...cu...tion?" he asked, head shaking involuntarily. Teal's eyes become teary. "Newl! Are you okay!" he exclaimed, seemingly honestly concerned about his acquaintance. "Urgh... yeah just run.... now" Newl struggled to say. Teal grimaced, but simply nodded. "C-C'mon! Let's get out of here!" he told the girl running to the exit of the cave, leading her by her hand. Pruhhen was smirking some more. His arm could be seen missing, but a chord connected to his shoulder could be seen dragging it back to his body. The pointer and middle fingers of the missing appendage could be seen missing as well, but in place were small pieces of machinery, likely being the cause of the electric shock. This arm dragged on the ground behind Newl, and accidentally fell into the water below. "Whoops" Pruhhen said grimacing, as the arm was suddenly pulled out of the water as fast as it was dropped. Pruhhen's grimace became more apparent as he heard something that distinctly sounded like a yell. "I.. hope I didn't..." A second later it reattached itself into it's designated place. "You're out of tricks Newl... but I have way more then you can handle!" he said snickering. Newl turned around unsteadily, his body making several involuntary movements. "I-I'm not done yet... I have one more trick... IGNORANCE!" he yelled angrily, passionately. The involuntary movements started to subside, and Newl was able to stand up tall, and firmly. "If you think I've met my limit you're wrong... Nathaniel..." ---- Nell frowned a bit, seeing that the fishman opponent had found a way to combat his strategy. 'Hmph... how pathetic... he clings onto that wall so desperately.' he pondered to himself. The swimmer cringed as the rocks started to fly at him, able to swim around most of them, until one of them cleanly hit him in the forehead, sending him floating through the water, getting dragged into the current of the blades for a second. However, he recovered fast enough before this could even become a suitable threat to him. "Urgh...!" Nell swam up high into the water. Nell flicked a switch on one of his bladed machines, pointing this one to Arashi. He then pointed the unaltered one into the direction of the surface. The foe started to smirk, but before he could he suddenly shook violently, with wide surprised eyes. It was as though something was shocking him! "Agh!!!!!" he yelled loudly, so loud that he could be clearly heard through the water! The swimmer seemed to want to hold his neck, but resisted to avoid cutting himself, it was obvious he had swallowed some water. He quickly turned around to face the opposite side. Both of the machines came on and shot him quickly to the surface (It would seem that he had turned one of the machines in reverse, so that one would pull him through the water and the other would push him through the water.). The swimmer's face started to become blue, but he luckily surfaced just in time to recover. He violently coughed up the water. Taking a few moments to recuperate he looked back under the surface. "I... can't give him anytime to retaliate!" the pirate thought to himself quickly diving back under the water using his machines to propel himself. 'Torpedo!' he thought to himself shooting down at Arashi, trying to pin the bladed weapon into his body. |

Though they weren’t bullets he was shooting, Arashi found an equal sense of satisfaction through pelting Nell with the surrounding rubble as penance for his misdeeds and overly annoying attitude up until now. Unsurprisingly enough, his foe found no difficulty in maneuvering around the incoming flurry of projectiles, despite his efforts being purely thanks to his strange machines. “Dammit you coward! If you think you’re such a good swimmer why don’t you ditch those weird contraptions of yours, they make you look even more ridiculous than usual!” The fishman screamed. Though no words could be heard being uttered, the violent mass of bubbles and the expression on his face clearly showed his anger. Clinging onto the cave wall all the more tighter as he quickly ran out of sizable projectiles, Arashi soon found solace as the final rock thrown hit its mark, thudding Nell squarely across the forehead. For a moment there the fishman felt he had won as his opponent began floating towards the giant blender, appearing to be almost unconscious. His hopes however quickly faded along with his smug grin as the pirate’s foe snapped out of it and once again, escaped the whirlpools strong drag using his damned machinery. “Gotta find a way to destroy them…” Arashi thought to himself as his foe retreated higher up. At this point the fishman could only watch, though preparing for the worst his tentacles began wrapping around the wall tightly, leaving only two spare just in case the moment in which they are needed should arise. Now securely anchored onto the giant lump of rock, the pirate averted his gaze back to his foe, which by this point had triggered some sort of switch. “It can’t be!” He thought to himself, his eyes quivering at the prospect of his conclusion. The fact that Nell had pointed one of his machines away from him whilst the altered one at Arashi could only mean the switch had caused it to suck up water rather than spit it out, causing anything it was pointed at to be dragged in, in this case the target being the fishman. With this likely being the end to their conflict, the pirate held his head high in a moment of defiance, though only for a split second as a numbing pain surged through his body. “Arrrgh!” Arashi yelled, his grip on the rock loosening from what felt like an electrocution. “Son of a…. Wait, he’s injured too?” The fishman thought to himself as his opponent shrieked in pain. As dumb as he was, even Nell wasn’t stupid enough to fight using electricity while he himself was underwater; whatever happened it was an accident, likely down to one of his machines malfunctioning. Mercifully however it seemed that the shock was mild, such being an obvious case what with the two foes still remaining in this world. On the other hand it appeared on first glance that the pirates enemy had bore the brunt of the attack, clearly being more affected by the electricity than Arashi. “Is it coz of the machines attached to him?” Though the pirate wanted to chase after his fleeing foe, he dared not release his grip on the rock out of fear that he may not have enough energy left to latch back onto the wall in the likely scenery that he cannot fight off the pull of the whirlpool. With most of his quivering appendages now settling down, Arashi felt a portion of his strength return to him, though not a moment too soon as his foe launched himself in a manner reminiscent of a torpedo. With this being the perfect time to test Nell’s reactions, the pirate waited until his opponent reached a distance no more than several meters before letting go of the rock as using the makeshift whirlpool to pull him toward the right and away from the attack. Likely unable to react fast enough to change his course, Arashi prayed that Nell would crash into the jagged rock, hopefully killing him due to his speed or at least in someway damaging his machines in the process. Now being dragged upwards, the fishman stretched out his tentacles before using them to latch onto the seabed, not being picky and rather grabbing onto anything available including large chunks of rock and tall sea plants. Able to spare just a single tentacle, the pirate reached toward his guns while Nell was distracted, taking something out of them before depositing it safely in his tentacle by coiling it up in order to prevent any water from reaching it. “I’m a sitting duck here… Gotta make sure I wait for the right moment….” Edited by Shinzu, Aug 24 2010, 03:07 AM.
