Kristina dived into the boat, the force of the jump pushed the ship away from the dock a bit so they could put the sail up and get going. Kristina ran over to one side of the boat, and started to pull at the cords, releasing the sail on her side. She then ran to the back, grabbing the helm, and steered away from the dock just as the marines reached the dock.

Kristina wiped her brow of sweat, panting heavily from the long run across town. "I thought you were good at this! Fine way to start your first day on board. Hurry up!" She heard him say.

"Well excuse me! Can I help it that they found my stash before I got there?" she said, sitting down on the floor, steering with one hand. She knew these waters well enough that she could almost do this blindfolded.....she tried once...ended up having to replace a section of docks...and her boat.

Kristina sighed as she pulled out her map. "Sooo, where too captain?" she asked, handing him the map. We should try somewhere populated to try and get more crew members, or at least a way to make some money for a suitable ship."

Jayce watched the marines scramble around edge of the docks as they failed to reach the escaping boat in time. One of them pulled out a rifle to fire at the small boat, but another marine slapped the gun down, the shot going wild and into the sea. Apparently they didn't take kindly to casually shooting strange people, even ones that had been acting suspicious.

The new pirate held no illusions that now that their faces had both been seen there would be some kind of follow up on the matter, though. Ah well, every pirate worth his salt needed bounty, right? He turned back to Kristina as the Marines drifted out of sight, one two of them yelling at each other over the missed shot. "Well, that could have gone better, but I suppose there's nothing to be done for it now, eh?"

Jayve took the map, unfolding it again to look at Loguetown. He tapped his chin thoughtfully, then looked up at his new first mate - it seemed like the logical rank, even if only because she was the only other person. "Well, I'm a little leery about staying here after that marine business, but I suppose we can reasonably stay at least a couple more days before we wear our welcome." He turned the map to face it towards the girl, and gave her a broad grin that spoke much of mischief. "Well, First Mate Kristina. You're the navigator and professional 'wealth redistributioner'. Where do you think the best place would be to get some fast wealth assuming we are leaving in a few days anyway?"

They might as well go out with a bang if they were going to be wanted soon anyway. That was how pirates did things!

Kristina sighed as she sat back in the boat, looking over the map. It was a well detailed map she had drawn, showing all the shops, all the ports, marine lookout points, bounty hunter bars, pretty much everything a pirate could ask for. She slid her finger across the map, locating all the upper class houses, all the high end shops, all the banks, all the....

Then Kristina facepalmed as she came to a realization. If they were being looked for mainland, then the only place logical left to look, was the sea! Tina leaped over to Jayce, rocking the boat a bit as she did, a look of cunning and excitement on her face. She handed the map to him, and pointed to the other side of the island that was one of the only areas on the island that was not developed. "That inlet there my captain, would be a pirate docking zone, away from the city, and away from the marines. So long as nobody popular is anchored currently, we could sneak aboard one or two unnoticed." she said as her grin widened.

Jayce looked down over the top of the map he was holding in front of himself as his first mate ran her finger along it, looking for the choicest spots to rob. There were probably banks, rich people, jewelry stores... but she picked none of that.

Instead, she seemed to think it would be more profitable outsource their project to the other pirates lurking on the island. Jayce raised his eyebrows, but he supposed there had to be some place most of the dishonest types gathered. "An interesting plan, Kristina. Daring and possibly profitable. I suppose they would already have plenty of valuable things stashed away from their own travels." He grinned at her again, setting down the map as he made up his mind to agree with his navigator. "Surely they don't need all of it."

As Jayce folded up the map to hand back to his new crew member, he looked back towards Loguetown, judging whether they were far enough away from it to reasonably have some secrecy. He was pretty sure no one was going to hear them out here though, so he nodded to himself as he gave Kristina back her map. "Alright then, I said that later we'd talk about that vague other talent I didn't mention in town. I guess this is later enough."

The captain reached into a pouch at his waist where he kept various mostly worthless scraps of metal and produced some shrapnel and a bent and dulled nail. He showed the thief the handful of metal, then closed a fist around them. After a good ten seconds or so, Jayce reached over the edge of the boat and shook the resulting brown dust from his hand so Kristina could see, and then that the hand was empty, if somewhat stained. He smirked faintly. "Must have been something I ate. Anyway, I can get us through pretty much any lock or vault door if I have enough time."

I am abandoning this thread, it's over, nulled, whatever the standard terminology is here. Sorry.

I was patient but two weeks is the limit to my patience. If you end up coming back then you are free to join the crew at some later point. Please intend to have activity if you do.
