Profession: Primary: ~Chef A Chef, Cook, Bartender or any other distinct related profession gives kitchen skills and knowledge about food, flavoring, ingredients, drink, and nutrients. With a chef on board, food upkeep costs are waived for the entire crew. They can also create foods which affect those who eat it, strengthening them. Secondary: ~Martial Artist A Martial Artist is someone who specializes in hand-to-hand combat, completely or very close to unarmed. They usually have good insight in the aspects of weight, balance and movement of the body. Position: ??? Physical Appearance Height: 5'11" Weight: 145 Lbs Hair: Blonde Eyes: Brown Clothing/Accessories: Julius wears dark colors dress pants and sleek black shoes, neatly polished. He prefers a look of professionalism, with a tight fitting black vest over a white shirt, and an appropriately placed bow. His clothes are neat and well-kept, and are quickly replaced if dirtied or ruined in some way. He typically wears a pair of shades, in order to appear dignified- And cool in a mysterious manner. Whether or not he succeeds in this manner is arguable. He carries a silver lighter in his front pocket, along with a pack of smokes. General Appearance: A tall man, neither particularly broad nor thin, whom typically expresses a dull, vacant look upon his face. He is quick to grin or anger however, almost exhibiting a form of mania which may spark with the simplest of triggers. Blond-haired, with a stern face and searching eyes, Zavier is a simple man with a preference for modesty and honesty. He stands with stance that has little to hide, presenting himself as is and letting anyone else whom gives a down give their peace. Spoiler: click to toggle The Character Personality: Julius is a young man whom loathes people. It doesn't matter who- There will always be something irksome. Not to say he can't like individuals or that he despises the masses by default. Merely that they will also be something to pick, to complain about. It's not that he considers himself perfect- Merely he expects others should be so. Perhaps silly, in fact, to someone whom serves others. He considers people much like a wine- They'll grow more and more like they should be with time. Whether or not they taste like **** in the end is a whole nother story. And he typically can tell where people are simply rotten. Zavier is a no-nonsense individual. If something is a problem, beat it to the ground. It doesn't matter why, nor whom, nor what. All issues can be solved with necessary discipline, be it verbal or otherwise. Man obeys out of fear of the top, or loyalty. To establish loyalty, they must first be ridden of all undesirable qualities. And to do that, they need an incentive to not do so. Julius happily provides such an incentive, be it an actualized threat or not. Once they learn to behave and establish proper moral values, he will happily be a friend and ally to them- But not a moment sooner. He doesn't consider himself to be an example, but merely a teacher in the noblest sense. And the most violent one. Hometown: West Blue, Karaoke Island History: Creativity comes from insanity. People whom desire a new outlook require stimulants in order to change their mind's perception. Inevitably, new sights, drugs, and alcohol are harnessed on occasion in order to achieve inspiration. A bartender, thus, was a well received occupation on the artistic Isle Karaoke. His family was a bunch of hard asses, and encouraged him to support the rest of their lazy family. Grudgingly, he entered the profession and was pushed into, for once, doing a well job. His family wasn't specialist beyond it's mediocreness- No titles, no legacies, no claims to fame. Julius was merely commanded and demanded to earn his keep. So he worked at a bar, first merely cleaning but then learning the exotic craft of making the most appealing ways of making a person no longer sober. When considered, Mixology is not quite much different from creating other more lethal poisons. The key difference is that while killing themselves, they are to feel as joyful as possible. After a time, Julius began to join being given the opportunity to ruin a person's morning the day after. Since many whom came upon the Islands were foreigners, he was inquired about local drinks and specialties beyond simply his own bar. In this respect his knowledge about ingredients, manners of preparations, and the variety of drinks as a whole expanded, including less "temporary" mixtures which made the buyer drift off into into their own personal heaven- Permanently. Soon he began raking in more cash for such deals. Inevitably, however, investigators which trace the bottles origins even after being disguised, leading to his arrest and trial. He was not found guilty of the murder, being able to make an adequate defense which kept from being labeled a conspirator, but was found guilty of violating trade laws- Some ingredients were smuggled due to their value, which caused him to lose his job and pay a large fine. Angered by the governments bull, he later got into a fight with several marines at, inevitably, a bar, which landed him in prison with several pirates. Keen to leave, the Pirates were scheming a break out plan which Julius keenly listened to, ready to make his move when they did. He eventurally gave them several suggestions of make-shift explosives which could be uses to incinerate the locks, a little tidbit he had learned from bar gossip, and managed to escape. The pirates, being higher prioritized, were placed at a greater importance of capture, allowing him to smuggle himself aboard a ship and escape before they could focus their men on him as well. Escaping off without little Beli to his name, Zavior seeks to earn a fair fortune else where, and beat any punk whom gets in his way. Abilities and Possessions Combat: Julius likes to hurt people. He does not bother to deny any sadistic joys but instead modestly acknowledges the joy of kicking the ass of those he deems worthy of a quick and relentless punishment. In this respect, he enjoys a fight not out of fabricated illusions such as honor, duty, or pride- He just likes to see pricks squirm under his foot. As a barman, bar fights were inevitable. And while Bars regularly employed bouncers, muscle men for taking out the trash, Julius argued instead to just receive a raise for bludgeoning work. As such, his fights have consisted of a varieties of situations, which has trained him to combat enemies wielding whatever they have with whatever the hell he can get his hands on. Thus, unusual spaces, improvised weaponry, and bizarre fights are something he is quite familiar with. While on occasions the damages bills exceed his extra pay, it has nonetheless made him proficient in fighting in any situation he could possibly imagine- And using whatever is around him to catch the upperhand and beatdown his foe. Weaponry: Just about anything he can get his hands on. Items: Cigarette pack - A simple pack of cigarettes to keep your cool and look cool. Lighter - A simple lighter utilized to, obviously, light things. Shady Sunglasses - Spectacles with a simple purpose but an undeniably arousing suspicion of others. Advanced Martial Art Mastery [Improvisation] (2 Traits) – The character masters their style of fighting to the level that very few can best them. All techniques which are based on the central theme of this style are raised two ranks for free, and the maximum rank for techniques involving this theme is three higher than the natural maximum. * Fate of the Strong (2 Traits) - When the character next earns a trait point, they gain X+1 trait points instead, where X is equal to the number of traits points spent. 3X is added to strength.

Slugger would be 14; hard to hit something and send it flying without shattering it, harder if you're not hitting it directly and just using the force of the blow. I'd allow Slamming at 4, it's just running away. Black and Blue could pass at rank 8, but there's a combo issue. Generally speaking, we dislike techniques that involve doing 2 or 3 seperate actions, because it doesn't take enemy reactions into account. I'd say break it up into two techniques, one where you throw the object to lower accuracy, and another where you attack them as they're blinded. Rocket's fine at rank 4, you're just throwing something. Tap'N'Shatter could work as a rank 4, too. Glass Shower also suffers from combo syndrome, namely the problem that you're expecting the enemy to do absolutely nothing between the glass being thrown in the air and it being shattered. If you do too much in one technique, you're left with unhappy mods that make you break it up. Still, if another mod says they're fine, it could work as rank 4. Shatter Storm would probably be rank 6 if it's passed. |

I am not expecting a person to do nothing. I'd like to clarify that. If someone was to hit the bottle in mid-air while it was being thrown, or catch it before another object hits it, I wouldn't object. RPing is about creativity, and its not more different, in my eyes, if I was to pick up an object and then throw it. Couldn't be argued that they should've been able to grab it before thrown, or even have knocked the object away before touched? I don't see my techniques as combos because they don't force an enemy to respond a certain way or lock them into place- Rather, they merely dictate Julius own actions. An opponent is not being punched, thrown, and then shot at- He's throwing his shirt and then throwing a punch after it. I would not mind changing the technique into just throwing the veil though, seeing as I could perfectly just add a punch as a plain old strike. Finally, I'm somewhat confused by the "Increase ranks by 2 for free" that my Trait endows. Does this mean essentially that moves involving Improvisation count as two ranks less for point purposes, or that they're simply "Stronger", as if they were two ranks better? And if you were a mod, that might mean something. What we're saying is that performing multiple, consecutive actions like that in one technique is a combo. Please change it. And any technique that uses his Improvisation style would get +2 ranks on top of what you spend in it. |

The former. If you took a rank 8 technique, you'd pay TP as if it were a rank 6. I'm willing to let Black and Blue and Glass Shatter work, same with Shatter Storm. Another mod might be mean about it. If Verse pushes it, go ahead and fix them. Used TP should be about 22, I'm not gonna give slamming the 2 free. As for your stat altering drinks under items, that's for the cook's profession trait. Since, according to Thingymabob the Primary Profession ability has changed, would it be appropriate for me to Add Food of Warriors? According to him, Primary Chefs have it naturally.
