would the depth a character is able to swim be completly conected to his stamina, ie would a 150 stamina character be abe to swim down to lets say 11,000 meters at 16,170 psi?, or would there be a spesified depth that even the most resiliant of character's not be able to take without a trait ::suicide:: , or just plain no one can reach with out proper protective equipment?

and what techniqe rank would a preshure wave of 294 psi and 1470 psi be?

Just to put in a little information into this, the maximum safe diving depth with diving equipment is 50m (165ft). Of course, thats with equipment. Free diving is much shallower depth. Obviously this is anime logic, but its still a good idea to keep realistic facts in mind.

And of course, if you want to swim underwater there is always the fishman/merman option. Then you don't have to deal with the issue of depth.

im after a character that is human yet stands up close to fishfolk. and i was just thinking if a 125 stamina is able to hold there breath for an hour while an athlete can do 5 min on a good day souldnt the depth a diver is able to swim also deepen with stamina

the record without fins on one breath is 380 feet
the record in scuba is 318 meters.

Free dives don't usually last that long or go that deep. It is only a select few people in the world who can do that, and to go as deep as you are talking about, they have anchor lines to follow down and help themselves back up.

Equipped dives, going down to 318 meters is impossible without using a nitrogen mix which can't be replicated in a free dive.

Stamina would factor in a great deal, but what you are talking about is a superhuman feat which would require a high-ranking technique or techniques as well as the high stamina.

Even so, lasting underwater for an hour on one breath would more than likely be unacceptable. Try as you might, there is virtually no way that a human character could compete with a fishman/merman underwater. Fishman/Merman is a trait. Trait points are earned few and far between and most any trait that a character gets adds quite a bit of strength, or skill, or power to the character. Fishman/Merman costs 3 traits. Therefore, it grants virtual indomitability underwater. If you get the technique/techniques and boost stamina up to the massive levels you'd need, you could probably beat a significantly lower rank fishman underwater. However, no matter what you do, I doubt you'd ever be able to beat a Fishman/Merman of equal or similar strength underwater.

The only way I could see it happening is if you got a custom trait for a human underwater, but I don't see it happening cause I doubt the mods would allow a trait that negates the difference between Fishman and Human.

Think about it like this. When Luffy and Hody fought on land, even after his ES doping, Hody couldn't match Luffy in a fight. If Hody and Luffy were characters, Hody would have been a lower rank than Luffy. Fewer stat points and lower technique rank. He'd probably be significantly lower rank that Luffy who had DF mastery and Haki not to mention high stats. But, once they got into the water, Luffy was in deep trouble. He wouldn't even have been able to take Hody out without the help of the Merfolk carrying him around so he could match Hody's movements. And, he needed the bubble corral to breath. Lets not forget that if you were fighting fishmen underwater, you wouldn't just be burning your breath swimming, but also fighting. The more you exert yourself the more, or faster, you need to breath.

If you want to be a strong underwater fighter, you're either going to have to go Fishman/Merman, or get used to the idea that you are only going to be able to stay submerged for short periods of time. Either that or try and make some sort of custom trait or ability. But like I said, if the custom comes off as something who's sole purpose is to bridge the gap between Fishman and Human, I doubt the mods would accept it.
