Jin sat there on the deck, leaning up against the railings as he watched the sun set to the west. He watched in the horizon as brilliant colors filled the sky. The mixture of lights radiated off the sea giving off a beautiful scene, he remembered why he always wanted to be a pirate. One of those reasons was to travel the seas and be able to come up with any cure for any sickness, for his mother had been sick his whole life and he wanted to be able to help out anybody he cared for. Since he didn’t really care about people he didn’t know, his intentions were selfish in a way. Another reason why he wanted to sail the blue seas was because how beautiful and free it felt. Yes, he had a rough start but it seemed the tides were changing. He knew that sooner or later better things would happen; it was simply a balance of life. He had gone through many troubles to get to this point, or better to have lead up to this point.

The Kilah male stared off into the sea not really listening to his rat-looking acquaintance. He looked at Mouse after he tried to make a deal with him. ”40 Take it or leave it!” he said, tired of listening to the annoying voice of a rodent. Coincidentally, the rodent-looking male was as annoying as he looked. Jin knew they would do this mission tomorrow, Mars and him had gotten too wasted and they both wanted some rest. He thought about supplies he would need if he wanted to be part of a pirate crew. Jin decided that when he finally talks to Mars about becoming an actual crew he would get his supplies necessary to be a real surgeon on a crew ship.

Jin’s vision started to get a little blurry and hazy, as he started to daze off. He finally was at the point where he could just fall asleep and wait for the next morning. Sobriety sounded so good right now to Jin, at one point in every drunken encounter there’s a time when a man wishes he was sober again. It was too hard to operate drunk and it felt good to finally get some rest. His breathing slowed and was lighter as his body entered its autopilot mode. He heard someone yell from the cabin, he could barely make out the words. ”-ey, Ji-, can crash-boat- if-want,” Jin heard this and didn’t really think Mars was in the right state of mind. He must’ve meant something else or Jin’s grogginess has taken a toll on his hearing too.

Jin decided that he would sleep here and thank Mars in the morning. They were practically friends now it seemed, they had just spent one whole afternoon drinking and running around town together. It was weird how friendships started, he didn’t think it would’ve started with a drunken encounter. But tomorrow he would find out the sober Mars, and he didn’t how different that could be. Jin always thought that alcohol brought out the real person inside one, and he observed that Mars was indeed a genuine guy. His thoughts trailed off as the Z’s started hitting him. Sleep was inevitable as it engulfed him and put him into a deep slumber.

After working out the monetary details at forty percent, Mouse went off for a little 'shopping', not trusting the two to properly prepare for the heist tomorrow.

The sun's purple vanguard filled the eastern sky, heralding the day. Most of Loguetown was asleep, not counting a few early risers preparing for the day. Merchants got their shops and stalls ready, arranging everything from colorful produce to tourist novelties. A group of young fishermen ran down the street, already late for the early catch. Some noisy gulls on the quay fought amongst themselves for some choice refuse.

Mouse liked this this time of day, not just because there were few people about. Those that were around mostly ignored everyone else. Any troublesome thugs had crashed or were about to, most of the authorities were still asleep or just waking up. You could get away with a lot at this hour.

If it weren't for Mouses' physical state he would probably be rather excited for the coming day's activities. Normal movements were painful with all the injuries he had sustained yesterday. With all the new bruises and a limp in his left leg, carrying tools for the job was even more difficult. But all this pain was worth it. The thick ropes and harnesses he was carrying would be his ticket off this dump.

After today, he would have enough Beli to start a new life on a nice tranquil island in the middle of nowhere. One were there weren't many pirates or marines. Far from civilization and all the madness it brought. Maybe in South blue? He had heard the climate was beautiful in those seas. As long as he thought about his goal he could shoulder all the tools of all the thieves in Loguetown.

After some more trudging through many of the alleys he had traversed yesterday, Mouse came upon his destination. He assumed that his two accomplices were not yet awake. He dearly hoped they were at least both still on the boat. Last night's circumstances had forced him to pull back the time they would be setting off. He really didn't want to waste valuable time tracking down errant pirates. As they would probably be both hung over he had brought some plenty of water and some food for the journey, as well.

Reaching the boat, Mouse tossed the supplies on board the E'sule before boarding, himself. Banging on the cabin he shouted.

"Hey guys! Time to get up and out! Had to move up the time we set off!"

The dream Mars had been having had subtlety blended into his reality. At this point in time it was just more of a general feeling than a concise memory, as he had been unconsciously awake for several minutes already. He knew he had to get up for something. His nursing duties were an important task for his family? No, that was impossible, he wasn't a nurse. Then why did the hospital smell like no had cleaned up the sick ward?

He heard a voice outside. They had to set off? Opening his eyes he gradually started to put the pieces together. His pounding headache plus the vomit on the floor meant he had spent another day boozing it up. Had he fallen asleep on another fishing vessel again? No, this was definitely his ship. But, who was that figure in the other hammock? The man's white hair jogged his memory slightly. Had he met him at a bar?

Jin watched the sunrise, he had been awake and simply staring off into space. In very deep thought, as he awoke confused and dazed. He wasn't sure how he had gotten to this very ship, but it seemed he was taken care of last night when drunk. He had remember little of yesterday, and simply remembered looking for a ship. This probably was the ship and he had probably found it without much trouble. The town wasn't bustling as much as the day, as he heard some chatter on the dock. He leaned his head against a small pillow set on the hammock, he had fallen asleep in a hammock and had no idea he had gotten here. But the grogginess from the alcohol started taking affect.

Jin felt his head pounding and he knew it was the hangover from the alcohol. He was glad that his hangovers only lasted for at the most thirty minutes after awakening from the substance. The Kilah male felt like he had something to do, and it was important. But he didn't remember what it was so he simply shrugged it off until he remembered. He breathed deeply taking in the sea breeze and watching the sun slowly light up the darkness. Little by little the shadows disappeared as the light started hitting different parts around him. The warmth of the sun lit up his face as he laid there.

Jin slowly swayed back and forth from the hammock, watching the sun. He heard someone coming closer and closer. Than a loud thump, and he watched from his peripherals. He saw a rodent-looking male and a bunch of random supplies from what he could see. There was food there too, and he felt himself becoming hungrier as he smelled the fresh food.

Jin reached down into his deep conscious to remember this man who had stepped onto the boat. He sat up on the hammock and almost tripped, but caught his footings, stumbling slightly. Jin started to remember small events of yesterday. He remembered making a deal with the rodent-face man, but couldn't remember his name. Jin decided to call him "Rat", since that was what he looked like. The male remembered that this was his new companions ship and that they had decided to become pirates or something. That wasn't exactly what had happened, but that was what Jin remembered mainly about yesterday. He sat there looking at Mars and looking over the cabin room. "Hey Rat, how's it going? he said sarcastically, but at the same time wanting a response. Jin decided to be mutual with this man until this whole ordeal was cleared. His head was still throbbing and he wanted to get things clear, because his mind was telling him to treat Mouse like an outsider.

Mouse's boot falls caused the ship's beams to creak, as if they were unsure of his presence. It was a different pattern than he usually produced, despite trying to hide his new limp from his companions. On board, he was greeted by Jin in the same way he had been yesterday. It didn't bother him much. At least the two were still on the ship. In case they ran into trouble they needed all the hands they could get. He was worrying about things endlessly today. Now he just had to see if they still remembered what they were going to do today.

"Hey, Jin, big day today." Mouse reminded him. He was not in the mood he had been yesterday. On top of the injuries, he had only slept an hour in the past 24. He would really have to try hard to bite his tongue with regards to the tall pirate.

Mars laid back down in his sling. He rocked slowly in his hammock to the rhythm of the waves. His head beat painfully to the pumping of his heart. The damn rocking motion made him feel rather sick, disoriented. He was not used to life on a boat. And the vomit had not flushed his system out entirely. Their was still more to come out, it was just in reserve. The sun wasn't really shining yet, but the coming heat and light wouldn't help his malaise. At the moment he had more pressing concerns, beyond the way he felt. Who was the man sleeping, and the one that just boarded?

Grunting, Mars tried lifting his head. He needed a better look at the two. It was difficult, getting a vantage point from his position. Lying in bed it would be hard to get a good read on the two. Or greet them, for that matter. He tried his usual flip descent. Twisting his body hard and swinging his bed, he landed on all fours on the floor. He had tried going for a foot to floor landing. But, his hangovers tended to prevent that. His left hand had found his earlier excretions. It was a good thing it hadn't been his face. With a quick heave-ho Mars found his legs. Still feeling a little dizzy from yesterday's remains, he was a little unsteady on his feet.

Mars assumed he had met the two men on his boat under good circumstances. They didn't seem to have any ill intent, they would of made their move when they saw he was awake. But, they certainly looked like pirates. He had dealt with more unsavory types, before. He decided to try a little friendly reconnaissance.

"Ah, are we headed off somewhere? Your captain is not aware of any trips on L'Esule's itinerary." It felt rather strange to Mars referring himself as captain of the poor vessel. This was of course considering he didn't even know how to navigate it properly. He wouldn't even know how to maneuver out of the his ship's slip on the pier. But, if he wasn't the captain, who was?

Mouse had expected at least one of them not to remember what had transpired yesterday. But, he was prepared. He had rifled through Mars' things yesterday, after the two had dozed off. He knew all about his situation, having found several papers detailing the 'Captain's' legal status. He also knew the money problem Mars had. The way he had been spending it, he would run out sooner or later.

"We met, yesterday, remember? We were going to help you score some Beli, can't live on a boat forever, Mars." It seemed the guy knew his name. He felt at a disadvantage, judging by the way the two talked, they knew each other already. The jocular banter made them almost seem like old friends. He, on the other hand, knew nothing about them. Still, he was not the kind to back down after making a commitment. Even if he didn't remember making it. Looks like they were going to 'score some beli'. That was nice, but he still needed to know how this was going down.

Jin sat there, as Mouse replied back to him. He just listened to him, not really caring what he said. He knew that there was something up, and something told him not to trust this guy. It was the normal instincts coming back, and this time not being drunk, he felt defensive towards this man. He wasn’t being quite polite with him and looked like he was observing Mouse’s every move. Jin was really watching the rodent-looking male’s every move. It was his nervous system sending out signals about this guy for some reason.

Jin had no solid evidence on this guy yet, so he decided to just watch him. Then he saw the familiar male pop out of his cabin. ”Captain of L’Esule eh?” Jin thought. He must’ve have joined a pirate crew when he was drunk. It seemed not that big and it was just starting. That was perfect; he could help build a great crew with this man. Something from his conscious told Jin to stick with this Venus, Mars whatever guy. He didn’t remember much about his name, except it was the name of something Ancient. ”I’m not sure, Captain?” he said, feeling awkward calling this man he barely knew captain. Maybe he should not call this man captain and simply stick with his name. But then again he didn’t know his name, so he set himself to just call him Captain.

”But I think it has to do with this man and these supplies, we had a deal it had to do with 60-40% profit,” Jin told his Captain. He watched the rodent pirate, wondering what he was really up to. It just seemed unnatural that an opportunity of 60% profit of some kind of raid was going to them. He could also feel it in his skin that something unfortunate was going to happen. What else could it be after such a great event of meeting a Captain of a pirate ship?
”Mars huh?” he thought to himself, as he caught his name. ”Yea, so that’s what it was… I remember now we get 60%, Mars and I, and you Rat get 40%. Right?” Jin asked, Mouse trying to sound confused in a way trying to lure him into a trap. Jin wanted to see if he was trying to be sneaky thief, and this was the beginning of Mouse’s test. Once Jin felt something was off about a person, he treats them pretty low.

Mars scratched his greasy beard and walked out on to the deck of the L'Esule. Cupping a hand over his eyes he stared off into the sun's horizon. It looked as if it was going to be a clear day. There were only a few wispy excuses for clouds, illuminated and revealed by the emerging sun. A breeze blew and gave Mars a fleeting relief from his pain. As long as they stayed out on the water the day would also probably stay cool, too.

On the Piers, a dozen ships surrounded his. L'Esule sat in the center, defiantly displaying Mars' epithets to an uncaring world. This wasn't the only difference between them, though. L'Esule had a shallower draft and a broader hull than most sea-faring ships could ever use. The two large rudders at the back allowed her to sail competently without capsizing in mixing waters. She used the traditional broad rectangular sail of Anolecrab, opposed to the modern squarish sails, used by most of Loguetown's fleet. L'Esule's oars gave her an advantage against most of the sleeker ships she found itself among, at least against the wind. And of course, she flew the blank flag of an exile.

He had the strong desire to just break out his paints and do a quick scape of the ships lying on the sunrise. That would have been the most calming thing in the world to him. But, he wouldn't break his oath. He couldn't break his oath. Whatever he did, though, he needed to clear his head. Even if it meant making his hangover worse.

"Yea, so that’s what it was… I remember now we get 60%, Mars and I, and you Rat get 40%. Right?"
Jin didn't seem much clearer about what was going on then he was. At least they were on the same boat.

"Yes, that's the figure we came to yesterday. All we have to do is intercept a merchant ship. A contact on board I have will let us on. We take some things, we leave. Simple."
Mouse explained. Hoping the two would take to the idea, again. Maybe he could appeal to Mars' reckless side. He evidently had one, considering the way he acted yesterday. The snooping he had done also pointed to this.

First thing's first; Mars thought. He was absolutely parched. His lips were cracked and had turned an ashen white. He could only squint as he could feel his eyeballs rubbing up against their sockets. Peering back into his cabin, Mars noticed he didn't have any water left. He glanced around the deck, and spotted the goods Mouse had brought aboard. Squatting down and rummaging for a couple seconds he found a few canteens. He gargled his mouth first and spit over board. After clearing his palette he took some much needed draughts from the vessel. He handed a second canteen over to; Jin, was it? He looked like he needed it as much as he did.

"Well, em?" Mars turned to address Mouse and paused, waiting for the small man to introduce himself.

"Algernon." Mouse clarified. This might go badly, he thought, if he doesn't even remember my name. Mars took another drink of the water and wiped his mouth with his sleeve before continuing.

"Yes, well, Algernon, there are a few problems with this scenario. Number one, why us? As anyone can clearly tell, this ship is not tip-top. Even if it was, it doesn't even sail that fast. And I can barely take the thing for a spin, much less intercept a ship out there." Mars asked and elaborated, pointing out to the East Blue seas. Mouse considered the queries. He had to be careful how he answered these next few questions. And he was in an awful hurry. The pain of his injuries came back in a sudden flash as he set to explain as quick as he could.

"Well, I need a ship and captain that aren't known around here. I got kicked out my old crew cause they didn't like the take I wanted. I've been disgraced, no one wants to work with me." He tried his pitiful look again. He tried his best to hide the urgency in his voice. But, that hadn't been the whole truth. If he weren't so desperate, maybe Mouse would of felt bad about lying. The truth was, word was out that whoever helped Mouse, got the same punishment he did.

I was asked by J0L to participate in this SL, and he gave me the task of describing the ship that you were going to rob, you rascally drunks.

That said, let's get to that.
___

Jayce had been on the Blue Albatross for a little over a two weeks, now. It was a nifty little trading ship that seemed to have been built to maximize cargo capacity while sacrificing as little speed as possible. The lower deck had little in the ways of walls and rooms except for some crew quarters in the middle, and the goods being shipped were all piled on the two opposite ends of the ship, or in some cases just strapped to the deck.

He had been offered a nice cut of the profits, and some nice wages to come cook on the Albatross - well, nice at least, considering that he wasn't going to be doing more than preparing food for them. It wasn't a very big cut percentage-wise. It was fine though, since he vaguely planned on robbing them anyway when he got a chance.

Of course, what had been offered wasn't matching up with what he was getting now. The captain had been underpaying him since the day after they had set off to Loguetown, and making excuses as about how the rest would be forthcoming 'later'. It was always 'later', actually. Talking with some of the crew, he had discovered their captain had a history of stinginess - he suspected he had been hired on to make better food as a bribe of sort. To prevent mutiny. It was actually somewhat clever, hiring a chef was cheaper than actually paying all the wages he had probably been withholding all this time.

He was stuck on the ship, though, and even if he had been ambiguously intending to make off with some cargo or Beli, it annoyed him that he was getting stiffed along with everyone else. Oh sure, he could have just left at some point, but he was feeling vindictive. Only he was allowed to be dishonest, see?

Interestingly enough, he had 'discovered' a problem with the ship, that he was just addressing to the captain. He seemed rather... put off by it, actually.

"Rusted?! The hell are you talking about, 'rusted'?" The man half bellowed at him, confused and irritated at a new problem that would likely cost him more money that he didn't like to spend. He began wringing his hands, likely already trying to think of some way to miser his way out of paying full cost for fixing the ship."It can't be rusted, the ship is proofed for sea travel!"

"I don't know what to tell you, sir. The outbreak of it is awful. I'm surprised your ship has even held itself together this long." Jayce shrugged his shoulders, and raised his arms to either side, keeping a perfectly straight face. In fact, the only parts of the ship that weren't rusted over were the kitchen implements. How fortuitous for the crew. "I would suggest you take better care of it, sir, or the whole thing may come apart some day in a storm."

"Shut yer mouth, kiddo. I'll decide what happens on this ship. Just... go back to making everyone breakfast, or whatever you do down there. Don't know why I pay you..." This was another one of his payment-stalling tactics, claiming that the assigned job wasn't being done properly. Jayce was frankly bored of it, and didn't make a comment on the veiled threat as the captain wandered off below decks to his cabin, muttering to himself.

It didn't matter anyway. He'd be off this ship soon, if that mousy fellow he had spoken to before had been serious about needing some one to help him rob the ship. The captain was now below decks, worrying about money again. No one would be around to see him 'accidentally' let someone on board.

Well, except the lookout, but he was asleep again like he always was before late morning or noon. No one ever seemed to care about his laziness.

Jin watched Mars and Mouse; he switched between them just observing both of them. It was his natural instincts to feel a little paranoid at times with new people. He leaned back against the railing and sat against it, feeling the sun slowly move further up. It seemed slowly his whole body was turning warmer and warmer. It felt good along with the cool sea wind that balanced the hot and cold. He noticed Mars going for a canteen, and then he noticed that his mouth was really dry. The alcohol had dehydrated him and not drinking any water at all wasn’t a great idea.

Jin watched as Mars, handed him a canteen. It seemed he knew what Jin was thinking of. Jin took the canteen and smiled with his dried lips. ”Thanks, Mars,” he said in a slight monotonous manner. He quickly uncapped the canteen and took a long swig out of it. He felt his lips already hydrate and it felt good to drink something so refreshing. He started to feel a little hungry and saw that there must be some food in the supplies. But he wondered if anyone here could cook at all. Mars didn’t seem like the type to cook and Jin was barely living off cheap foods in order to save his Beli.

Jin sat back and took another swig out of his water. He thought about how much he missed his mother’s and sister’s cooking. He remembered how delicious the special different kind of marinated meat there were. They were all served with natural ingredients on the Kilah Island. Meat was always served with herbal tea from the island and it always balanced out the greasy, fattening meat. How he craved the home-style food that he haven’t ate for months now. But Jin’s mindset quickly changed. He knew that wishing for these home things were futile now. He had made up his mind to be a pirate and he was going to make sure that he could live a great life as a pirate. Wasn’t that what most people simply want? A good life?

Jin simply listened to the two males conversing as they discussed the matter. He wanted this to be over with already, because he didn’t like to sit and wait for things to be either happen or not. He wanted it to be decided and start with it, or go onto something else. He was impatient when it came to matter of time, because he felt that there wasn’t enough time in life to do what he wanted. ”Lets hurry this up already! Mars,” he said, picking up the name from ‘Algernon’ or Rat to Jin. ”Captain Mars, lets just do as this Rat wishes for us to do. If he tries to do anything sneaky, then we’ll make sure he doesn’t leave this ship alive, right?” he suggested to Mars. In a way he was joking, but Jin was serious if Rat was serious on doing dirt on his ‘helpers’ in a time of his need.

Jin suspected some stuff from Rat, but he also knew that opportunities like this didn’t come as much. Hell, for all Jin knew this Algernon fellow could be taking the two to a pirate ship. Thus, ending up an ambush and their lives in danger. He glanced over to Mars, he looked like a capable fighter and Jin was confident in his ability in combat. Jin also knew they could always take the small fellow as a hostage if necessary.

Basilisk Vespertine scrunched his face in an attempt to solve this quandary. Should he go or should he stay? The Clash he usually got in his mind when making a decision wasn't really there. What did it matter what he did with his life now? He wasn't really worth much now. Who knew Basilisk Vespertine without his famous paintings?

"Captain Mars, lets just do as this Rat wishes for us to do. If he tries to do anything sneaky, then we’ll make sure he doesn’t leave this ship alive, right?"
Whether he survived or not didn't much matter to Basilisk. The excitement in Jin's voice was infectious, though. Yeah, he might as well go, he needed the Beli anyways. But squatting down mulling about was no proper send off for this mission.

Mars hopped up from his dreariness and pulled a rope to release L'Esule's sail. It didn't unfurl, so he tried a couple more. He gave up on that instead bounded up to the ship's bow. Right under which the words, 'Death Approximates' was written in a native Anolian dialect. He had written that on one of his more depressed days. Maybe it would scare the merchants, though.

"Alright, you salty fishmongers! Unfurl the sails, take to the rudders, I don't know how. We'll go and take us some plunder!" Mars shouted into the blues. One hand on knee he pointed out in a direction he assumed they were going in. That was how pirates were supposed to talk, right? He had to work on these things if he was going to be doing stuff like this.

"We're going north, not south, Cap." Mouse corrected the direction Mars had pointed in. Mars moved over, pointing in the opposite direction. Mouse had assumed Mars knew how to handle his own boat. Walking over to the rigging, he tried to correct some of the knots Mars had just undone. They would have difficulty turning left, but he managed to get the sail loose. He limped over and took the rudders. It was not a configuration he was used to, but he could probably manage.

"Jin, kick us off."
Mouse instructed the first mate, this was going to be tougher than he had anticipated.

Jin watched his captain and the rat fellow, as he got up. He gulped down the rest of his canteen water and started to walk over to them. Then he started to walk around the deck, seeing what he could do to help. He wasn’t much of a navigator or anything, so he really didn’t know what to do help. He only knew how to do the simple things and that is what he would do for now. Jin sighed, as he watched Mars point in the complete opposite direction of where we were headed to. It seemed that they would have some traveling problems if they were not to get a navigator anytime soon.

Jin looked at Mouse, and just went over to a spot on the deck to let the boat loose for sail. The male didn’t really still like Mouse and was being rude without a care. Jin made the boat loose and ready for sailing. He knew now their lives could be in danger from the navy, other pirates, and this Mouse guy who seemed really shady in his actions. He wondered what kind of ship they were being taken too. He knew he could tell apart from the pirate ships and merchant ships. We would have to just look out to see if they were or were not pirates when they came.

”So are they close by, Mouse?” he asked, not wanting to sail too far away in fear of not being able to reach land. The pirate hoped this would all come to plan, if something went wrong, he was a surgeon. He could handle most major injuries so he knew as long as they could get away, they could be healed. So at least that would not be of a concern. He just hoped it didn’t have to resort to such things, as him having to perform surgery without that many tools on someone he had just met while running away from some danger. That would be unpleasant.

Jin looked at Mars to see what he was up to. It seemed he was getting confused off his own boat and it was in a way hilarious. Usually the captains knew how to run their own boat, but in this case it was a little different it seemed. Jin wasn’t worried, because Mars must know how to control his own boat at least a little bit.

"It'll seem like a minute or two will have passed, when we're there." Mouse shouted over the fourth wall of L'Esule's cabin. Due to the fact that Mouse had to push up the time they took off, it would take longer than he had originally planned.

The trio sailed into the increasingly sapphire horizon, as the East Blue sun rose steadily towards it's apex. They drifted away in the expanse and land disappeared. Mars had thought the sea's breeze would of cured what ailed him, it was not to be. He made sure he drank plenty to get the rest of the sickness out of him. He heaved once more over the side, his vision becoming blurry. The second time he did that, all his discomfort vanished. His head suddenly clear, Mars decided to sit down and grab a bite. He asked Mouse about how this was supposed to go.

Mouse compulsively rechecked his maps and heading and then began to explain the details of the plan. Despite the fact that it had been originally planned as a night operation, they would have to do everything in broad daylight. It should work as long as they got to the ship at around lunch time. Everyone but Jayce should be on the deck at the time, as they had arranged per their back up plan. The other crew would be below deck eating in the mess hall. It would be easy enough to hide the L'Esule behind the Blue Albatrosses' massive stern and piggy back while they boarded.

When Mars heard the details of the plan the full implication of what they were doing set in deeply. He had done cloak and dagger type missions on Anolecrab before. And right before them there was always the same unease in his gut. As long as he survived till they started, he should be fine, he tried to remind himself. As he tried to clam himself down, he noticed a white shape in the distance.

"Is that our target?" Mars asked, squinting out across the brightly shining water. Mouse came back from behind the quarters to take a look.

"Smells like it."
Mouse confirmed. It looked like the right height and it's position was close enough. He noticed that the Albatrosses' heading was at an angle to theirs. He would have to make a wide turn and angle out behind it to get to the sweet spot. According to the sun it was lunch time, but, they weren't close enough to check out the deck. By the time they were behind the leviathan, anyone who had seen them in the portholes would have thought they had passed out of view again. It wasn't uncommon to cross ships on the busy routes heading out of Loguetown.

Jin looked at the man named Mars, as everybody on the ship started to work on things to be able to set sail. The Kilah male thought about the plan and wondered how well this would go as planned. He looked at Mouse and listened to him speak about the plan. He went through a thorough brief of what was to happen. Jin thought about it, it couldn’t be that hard for pirates to rob a merchant ship. Jin listened to Mouse as he spoke about one other personnel on the merchant ship that would be aiding them. He wondered how useful that would be against a whole crew. For all he knew, these merchants were just seamen on a boat of the East Blue. If worst came to worst, they could always create havoc on the ship and escape. Maybe they could set the whole ship on fire if it came down to it. Jin’s drunk reckless side had left him already and these were just entertaining thoughts to him.

The male looked out into the ship, being the lookout for now since he really had no other useful ship skills. He looked over to Mars and Mouse, as he watched the beautiful, blue sea. He noticed a ship far ahead coming towards them, and then they started speaking to each other. ”Wow, that is a huge ship! We should steal that ship if possible…” he said, more directed to Mars. It seemed like a bulky ship that could be turned to a pirate ship with ease.

Jin went over to the supplies and took out a half loaf of bread and another canteen of fresh water. He went and stood against one of the walls of the cabin. Jin took a bite out of the wheat bread and took a swig of his water. He watched the ship starting to turn in a huge arc. Jin simply let Mouse and Mars handle the work to get there and Jin would help them in the real action. Though, Jin was smart and was observing what they were doing to make the boat move. He would have to learn to control a boat in its basics, so he decided to just learn and watch.

When they were behind the Albatross , Jin looked up to the difference in the size of the ships. ”So this is it eh?” he asked, Mars and Mouse. He finished his bread and water, putting the canteen down next to him. Jin started to walk over towards them and wondered how they were going to board it. He wondered if this would go all as planned, since most of the crew was eating in the mess hall they would be able to sneak on board. ”We should lock the doors that lead to the deck, so the crewmen can’t get to us when we’re looting the captains quarters,” he said assuming the captain’s quarters would be the biggest loot.

Mars looked over at the approaching hulk of a ship. It seemed to his eyes at least 270 to 280 feet in length. Jin entertained an idea of a sea jacking.

"Ha! We could take it!" Mars blurted out, trying to sound more confident than he actually was about it.

"I can't pilot that beast!" Mouse shouted from the back, taking Mars seriously. "Beyond some guards they just have a skeleton crew on board. Still, a skeleton crew for such a large ship would be tough to take on. With just us three. Besides, they have ways of dealing with pirates, better they don't even notice we were here." Mouse explained further.

"We should lock the doors that lead to the deck, so the crewmen can’t get to us when we’re looting the captains quarters." Jin suggested.

"The captain isn't our goal. Our goal is on the second of the three decks. It's a maze of halls and rooms, it should be easy to sneak around there. The one under that has more crew quarters and all the cargo lining both sides. There is a fellow on the second deck with some goods he's seeing to personally. We need those." Mouse detailed more of the plan. They had arrived more or less were he wanted. As long as he kept the speed steady they shouldn't crash into the Albatross or drift away.

"What are these mysterious good anyways?" Mars asked.

"All I know is that they're valuable. Not even on the manifest, and the man is keeping it all in his own room. He paid a lot to get on. Always in a suit, too. Supposedly part of the Logian East Blue Trade Company." Mouse fed them all the knowledge from his informant and some of his own snooping.

Mouse made a sea's gull call to signal his partner aboard to send down the ropes to tie the Albatross and L'Esule together. They could then climb the same ropes to get aboard. Mouse looked through his things and pulled out jackets and caps marking them as crew for them to wear. He passed them out wordlessly.

"Cool! I think this shade of blue clashes with my outfit, but, it will do." Mars smiled, trying them out.

Samantha moved forward on her small rowboat. It was relatively sturdy since she made it herself, and she was strong enough to move forward rather quickly. She had heard a rumor about some guy that went by the nickname Mouse, trying to lead a small group of pirates to loot a merchant ship headed Loguetown. Samantha had tried only a couple weeks ago to join the Marines, but they rejected her as being too young. She was determined to prove to all those people at the Marine Base that she could fight, and better than any of those grunts who can't catch even a single pirate. She'd beat those pirates to a pulp and then bring them back to Loguetown kicking and screaming and with their balls kicked in so hard they'd be literally concave.

She looked to the north, spotting the large merchant ship she was headed towards, and a smaller ship behind it, with a few figures on board. They must have been the pirates... Samantha rowed to the merchant ship, tethering it to the side of the massive boat. She then hopped out and started swimming down the side of the ship, keeping a firm hold on it so as to not be washed away. She made sure to keep her head down low and keep hidden. When the pirates boarded, she would make her move, taking control of the only route back to their ship. It was hard to tell from where she was, but it looked rather odd. The proportions were off, and the flag was rectangular instead of square. Upon closer inspection, Samantha found that the flag was not even that of a pirates, just a simple, blank flag. As odd as it was, it was the only evidence she had against them being pirates, for now she would treat them as the scum pirates were, villains who stole, killed, and raped whatever they wanted.

Samantha tried to listen, but it was hard with the crashing of the waves, plus the distance from herself and the pirates. The only thing she could really do was wait and hope she wasn't spotted. "Would you bastards hurry up already?" She muttered to herself impatiently.

OOC: I'm horribly horribly shamed, my first roleplay post sucked so bad! >_<

Jayce casually tossed one end of the rope he had been holding over the side when he heard the 'seagull call'. At least, that's what he was sure it was supposed to be. It was a pretty bad impression, whoever was making it. Since it came from below and not the sky, he was fairly sure it was his contacts and not a sick birdie.... maybe.

The other end of the rope was soon tied to a handle on the side of one of the heavier crates that the crew had decided to leave on the deck to save their backs the effort. It was probably full of bricks or something, and could easily hold one person climbing. He didn't know beyond that, but surely no one would be dumb enough to try and support two or three people on a single rope.

Attached by a pin a couple feet above the end of the rope was a small note reading "The lookout is asleep." that Jayce had put there in the hopes that whoever was coming aboard didn't make a large racket and blow their cover. Some people were pretty stupid, and it didn't hurt to give a reminder that this wasn't some crazy hullabaloo pirate raid, but a stealth mission.

When they reached the deck, Jayce was waiting, sitting on the crate their rope was tied to and munching on a small loaf of bread. He spoke when the first person had reached his destination, but in a quiet voice so as not to wake anyone up who might be sleeping nearby. Or above.
"It's about time you got here. I was about ready to just go down into my kitchen and start making breakfast. How many of you are there?"

As he spoke, he cast an eye at the still taut rope and pushed back his entirely too colorful hat, raising an eyebrow.
