Ok, I've done this in another RP, and it went pretty well for a while, before people ran out of ideas. I figured I'd try it here, too. With a three character limit, there are always ideas that are set aside for other ideas. Sometimes, you simply can't think of a good idea at all. That's what this thread is for. If you had a character idea that you just didn't feel you'd be in to, don't let the idea rot! Put it up here, and maybe someone with writer's block will adopt them. Or, maybe you just want to write down the general idea, so that you don't forget what it was. In that case, make sure to save them for later. Also, feel free to post here about linking characters through history or other means. Perhaps you want to create a pair of siblings. Maybe a group of characters designed to be in the same crew. Maybe old rivals who will keep running into each other. If you have an idea that you just can't act on by yourself, this is the place for you. Here's my idea. The great thing about this is that you can do just about anything you want with these characters, save for one thing. The next character I'll be making is a battle monk from an island somewhere in the calm belt. My idea for him is to specialize in stamina, so his nickname/title will be 'Scale of the Dragon.' Now, I figured that if there was a monk specializing in stamina, why wouldn't there be a monk for the other 3 stats as well? So, I'll give some general background for them. There's an island in the calm belt near the end of the Grand Line that's almost completely separated from the rest of the world. On the island a group of monks train and meditate day in and day out. The master of the island ('Heart of the Dragon') brings his 4 star pupils to a special meal, where he explains to them his desire for them to see more of the world than just this island. He insists that they go out and see the world, and then return to tell their tale. He will not take no for an answer. In fact, he poisoned their meals, and when they awoke they would be out in the world. And indeed, when they awoke, they were separated across the blues. Now, this isn't to say that two of them can't be in the same blue. All 4 of them might be, that would be up to the person making the character. The only thing required for the characters would be the nicknames and the major stats. They can be a pirate, a marine, a bounty hunter, or whatever they choose. I'll list the 4 names below, and strike them out if any of them are taken. (Feel free to alter the name, if you so choose.) Wing of the Dragon (Speed) Eye of the Dragon (Accuracy) Edit: Someone's taken the Claw spot ^^. And why'd you have to go and bring up that show? At least here they're fighting with an emphasis on different stats, rather than drawing the exact same cards in the exact same order every single game... Edited by MaxKodan, Oct 30 2009, 10:03 AM.

Sounds a little too Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's for me.. My idea is to make a totally true-to-self character. There's no way you et bored of portraying a person similar to yourself, so that's what it'll be. A teenager with an indecisive mind, making him somewhat child-like. Oh, he'll also have a ton of wardrobe changes. He'll learn to grow up in the open seas, but not forget to have fun. |

Agh! I need some help getting someone to play my character's, Kiln, twin! How about I brief him here? Kiln and his twin were abandoned as very small orphans. They are soon found by a small band of traveling merchants. At this time they are the only fishman of the merchant group and live with them for the majority of their life. Over time the merchant group grew so big that it was the size of a small village. At one time they visit a port city where a large fishman family lives. Here they get time to relate to other fishman and in the process they become like brothers to an older fishman who teaches them some fishman karate. After this the merchant group says their goodbyes and move onto an island that is constantly switching from marine to pirate control, so it is obviously a hot spot for battles. One day the merchant group gets caught in the crossfire and through the confusion Kiln's twin gets kidnapped and sold as a slave by one of the pirate groups that was in the fight. Kiln, being all alone now, wonders back to the village and desperately returns to their older brother like fishman. This is where he grows up for the rest of his life. At the age of 15 he leaves in hopes to find his twin. If you play his twin then we'll likely start with Kiln rescuing him and continue from there.
