Zenko patted Pai on the head as he laughed. A panda... The idea even was hilarious. Who would think Pai was a Panda? He was obviously a Molebearpig. There was no other classification possible for it. "Who would say such an idiotic thing?" Oh how ignorant some of the crewmates were. Zenko laughed jolly, before blinking. Did they have a bat-problem? "We have bats? Those hairy, six-legged sharp teethed bastards... How did they hide so well..." Zenko pondered, completely hearing other things than those what were said. He walked to Tora, before sitting next to him. The First Mate grabbed Tora's cheek and twisted it. Like always, Zenko was having none of it. Whenever Tora did something, Zenko would make the captain take responsibility for it. Not shift the blame onto others. "It was you, Tora. It was you." Zenko took another gulp from his mug, as he looked around at the crew. Their little group had grown quite some. Zenko still remembered when it was just Tora, Nova and himself. Zenko slightly missed Nova, the human-weapon. He could be chucked as if there was no tomorrow. "So Captain. What's our next course of action actually? If you want to become Pirate king, we need at least some sort of red line to follow." Zenko looked at Tora, before he casually looked at Guy. The man who actually planned the route would be the navigator. But Zenko was curious as to which route they would sail, what was their next move. |

Geno tuned into Guys conversation when he mentioned them hunting bounties together. Gosh, it had been so long the ex-Bounty Huntress had nearly forgotten those days. Her, Kubo and Guy. Well, it was just her and the large feline for the majority of her life, and Guy had come into it later, the two of them making a great catch before being taken hostage. And alas, there the Red Caps were, saving them from certain slavery, a fate the woman could barely even imagine now. not after the countless freedoms offered to her by being on the open sees in the Wave Hopper with Tora and the gang. And... Zenko... "Tora! You know, eating meat will make you big and strong. Maybe even strong enough... to meet Santa..." Geno said, slipping her hand behind her, and pulling out the iconic hat she had met him in. Her Santa Baby hat from the costume she was forced to wear when captured. She had long forgotten being Misses Clause to Tora, which was actually a great way to get him to do things. "You do want a special gift this year, don't you?' Applesauce. She didn't even know how he could be so hooked on the stuff. It wasn't really that good. Alright nutrition she guessed, but it really had nothing for it. To each their own apparently... "So, you should eat your meal like Pai says. Afterall, you wanna have all your strength for partying don't you?" |

Spike nodded silently to Omacha, reaching down and touching for his whip as the village elder warned Spike to be ready, just in case. Turning back to the beach, Spike continued to observe as the odd pirate crew celebrated... not dying at sea? Spike couldn't determine what reason exactly this crew had to throw a party, but was beginning to suspect that maybe they didn't really need a reason. They certainly were an odd mix, humans and animals and even a fishwoman. Even after observing the crew for as short a time as he had, Spike was getting the impression that the personalities in the crew were as varied as the races. Only one thing seemed constant. They were all nuts! Spike had always thought of pirate crews as entirely bloodthirsty groups, pillaging coastal towns and taking whatever pleased them. But these guys seemed different. Maybe it was the way they joked around with each other, that almost reminded him of life aboard the circus ship in his youth, but this crew seemed more like a family than a wandering band of marauders. Although there was that quiet guy sitting by the tree, cleaning his guns. Spike heard him talk about being a former bounty hunter, along with the human woman that seemed to be guarded by a jungle cat. Guns... Spike made a mental note to keep an extra sharp eye on that one. Spike listened as he told the fishwoman that getting used to the crew would take some time. She must be new, that much is clear. Spike thought to himself. From the way it sounds, she might be the most normal one on this beach right now! Between this talk of bats, and applesauce, and now Santa?!?! I think these guys might all be insane! Spike looked over at Gorshu and Omacha, jaw on the ground as something he had just overheard finally sank in. "Did he just say the one in the cap wants to be pirate king?" Spike took another look at the crew partying on the beach in front of him. Pirate king? With this insane crew behind him? Yeah. Right. |

Pai's cheerful disposition vanished once Tora refused to eat his cooking. If he had merely said no Pai would have been okay with that. It was the Captain's childish and annoying behavior that struck a nerve. Pai simply gazed blankly at Tora for a moment before a sinister smirk came over his face. Turning his attention towards Guy the Cook kept the same expression on his face. "Addiction or not, he has to eat more than that stuff!" Turning his attention back to Tora he was about to walk over to him when Geno chimed in. Looking over to the crew's Doctor, the same smirk still on his face, Pai's eyes lit up with stars. "EHH?! SANTA'S WI-" Pai stopped himself short and started to shake his head. He knew that Geno was Santa's wife, there was no need to be so shocked. Even she was attempting to convince Tora to eat some food. Pai had to admit, it was a rather smart plan. "I give you credit for creativity Geno." Pai said while folding his arms and nodding his head. "However we can't keep coddling Tora as such. If we keep bending to every tantrum he throws how will Tora become a truly mature Captain?" Pai casually walked over to the open fire and took a pieces of meat that had been grilled to perfection. "What he needs is a little tough love. Show him we care, but we won't give in to his little fits." The Red Cap Cook proceeded to walk up to Tora. He closed his eyes and smiled warmly at Tora while placing a hand on the Captain's shoulder. "Now Tora", he said cheerfully after giggling a little. A moment later Pai was on the ground in his Heavy Point form, Tora caught in a headlock. "EAT THE GOD DAMN MEAT!!!" He shouted while trying force the grilled pork into Tora's mouth. While Pai was busy tackling Tora to the ground, the Rainbowlight tribe looked on in shock. "Th-Th-That thing transformered?!" Omacha said quietly while laying on the ground, his eyes white with absolute shock. "Do you really think that lady is Santa's wife?" Gorshu said while squinting his eyes and pointing at Geno. The men that came with Gorshu and Spike could only sweatdrop, these two were really apart of the village council? It was then that Zenko had mentioned something that brought the two back to focus. "Did he just say Pirate King?!" Both men said quietly in shock. Gorshu and Omacha leaned in from their hiding place, faces pressing against each other. Did this crew honestly think they had what it took to make their Captain the Pirate King?! They had to hear the answer this so called Captain came up with! |

Lying with his back against the sand, the shipwright knew it was coming. The effects of what he had just drank would soon assault his mind and body, rendering logical thought impossible. Or, well, that's how a normal human would react. Shin was more than that! A beacon of Justice! A fighter! His mind would not be dulled by the sting of alcohol! He was certain of it! He opened his mouth to shout his trademark phrase when Guy calmly pushed a mug against his face. "... Even after saving you from harm, you react with scorn! Unless... Does a mug mean something in your home country of snipers and gunmen? Does it mean... friendship and Justice? Guy! You would use your land's most holy ritual to honour our friendship!? I accept with great pride!" Shin spoke randomly, standing up on his feet with a beaming smile on his face. To think Guy would honour him in such a way! He reached down to pat Guy on the shoulder when Tora's words from earlier finally registered in the shipwright's mind. No! Shin took a few shaky step away from Guy. "Guy... You were afraid I wouldn't make? Did you really think I wouldn't have been able to save you from the evil beverage residing in the mug that someone--not me--threw at you? I see... Placing a mug upon my face was not a sign of friendship. It was one of distrust!" With a new mug in hand, Shin instantly went from happy with Guy to most displeased with the navigator. Clearly drunk, the shipwright glared at Guy for a few seconds before slouching over towards Tora, having lost his anger towards Guy already. "Tch, we don't need a red line! He trailed off, not really having anything to say as he sat down next to Tora, zipping from his mug. The only reason he had spoken against Zenko's plan was because it was Zenko's plan. In all honesty, Shin knew that having a basic plan would probably be the best. But. Drunk. "I bet I can thread more red lines than you..." He spoke looking at Zenko. It was the strangest of insults, and even Shin had no idea what he meant by it. Edited by Shodan, Jul 31 2013, 09:02 AM.

What was it with Shin and assuming that Guy was from the land of snipers and gunmen..yes he used guns in fights and yes he was a good marksman but still "What are you on about Shin.."Guy started to say before hearing what the shipwright had to say a few moments later on he could only look at the man lazily, a palm then smacking the navigator's face in utter dismay at what Shin was saying. "Well...I could have done this"Guy said as he picked up the now discared mug and then tossed it at Shin's face once more this time it was going to leave a mark unlike before where he simply placed it by-not on- Shin's face "Anyway you're drunk I bet you can't even walk straight anymore"and with that Guy once more went back to his mug and finished what left was in it. Nola found herself rather puzzled. Looking over at Zenko and Pai as they talked about actual bats. What was even worse was Zenko's description of a bat. Nola's eyes glazed over, having given up trying to correct them. Shin often commented on Tora's influence over Pai. Nola sometimes wondered if that influence effected the rest of the crew as well. If that were the case she would have to be careful. Her confusion over Zenko and Pai was put aside when Guy told his story. Nola looked at him rather surprised. "I would imagine the circumstances had to be rather dire for a bounty hunter to join a group of pirates." She said after listening to Guys's story. She had ran into her fair share of bounty hunters. None of them seemed to be so eager to join a pirate crew. The fact that Guy and Geno were just made the Red Caps all the more interesting. After Guy spoke Nola saw Pai dealing with Tora. It seemed Tora was indeed stubborn when it came to eating food. Geno's tatic had caught Nola off guard. She had heard somethings about Tora thinking she was Santa's Wife, but this. "Doctor-chan seems to really get into the role." While Nola was impressed with Geno she soon saw Pai make his move. This wasn't going to end well. He was talking about tough love, and somehow got Tora in a headlock. Nola wasn't even shocked. She merely looked at them with the same glazed over stare. "Be careful Pai, something tells me you are only inviting trouble by doing that." While they were goofing around Zenko had spoken up. His subject seemed rather serious to boot. Nola nodded towards him before standing up. "Zenko makes a good point. It would be wise to have a course of action. Trust me when I say that things will only get more tough the further you get into the Grand Line." |

Sometimes Tora forgot how smart Guy actually was!! The navigator called the cook upon the fact that trying to make Tora eat another kind of food was absolutely pointless. As expected of a man Tora deemed apple sauce Guy. This man was the prime example of what Tora called "Sage Wise". Wise beyond his years and gifted with the knowledge of sauce and what not!! To have recruited such a man. Tora's eyes glistened with amazement as he turned to look at Guy with an air of pride. To have recruited him had been such a great idea!! His feet clapped together gleefully while he continued taking scoops of his sauce. "Awahaha. Hmmmh!! Hmmmhmmmhmmh!!" Humming a cheerful tune after giving Pai some serious food-attitude the Captain turned to look at Zenko and snickered. He got what Zenko meant although he wouldn't go as far as to call it idiotic. Some people were simply not as knowledgeable on Molebearpig's as Tora and his trusted first mate. Of course Tora almost dropped the spoon when Zenko described bats. What the freck? "Oi Zenko!! Your not describing bats man. How can you be so wrong!! What your describing are snow leopards. You know, those rare kind of horses you find only in the desert" None of that made any kind of sense in any universe but that didn't matter to Tora because he was sure it was the truth. He was about to say something in response to Zenko blaming him for something yet again but Geno spoke up saving the first mate from engaging Tora in an discussion in which the man would be smacked around by blatant lies told by a man who believed them himself. "Ack!! Awawa!! Wait seriously?" Tora's jaw unhinged and nearly hit the ground as he stared at Geno in shock. He could meet Santa if he ate meat?!? Without any hesitation he reached out to a juicy piece of grilled-pork but stopped mid-grab when Pai walked over and grabbed the very piece of grilled-pork Tora had wanted to take. The captain's brows furrowed indignantly when he opened his mouth to speak up. It proved to be his mistake. "Oi Pai- GARGH!!" Before he knew what happened Pai had Tora in a headlock. That deceitful warm smile of the Molebearpig!! It had fooled Tora once more!! The spluttering captain nearly choked on the food Pai was forcing down his throat. Tears sprung up in Tora's eyes while his hand tapped onto the ground. He was clearly calling uncle but when that didn't work Tora went to plan B. "ZENKO!! NOLA!! ZENLA!! NOKO!! TAG IN!! TAG IARGH!!" Not much later Tora laid in fetal position behind Shin sniffling something about personal space and Pai being to influenced by Zenko. With an air of depression around him Tora watched Shin explode with his usual antics. The Captain suddenly laughed sitting on his own spot out of nowhere while having returned to eating his apple sauce. Shin was hilarious!! That guy was a funny drunk!! "Awahahahahaha!! Shin!! You can thread twice the red lines Zenko can!! Awahahaha!! Bwaaaka Zenko!! Baka!! You don't even know what red is on the lines!! Baaakaa!! Awahahaha!! Awa?" Actually. When he thought of it Zenko's question was quite good. The captain visibly calmed down and glanced over at Nola who -judging from the way she spoke- spoke up out of experience. He gave a single nod and hopped onto his feet putting down the apple sauce. "Ossu!! We've been sailing trough West Blue for a while now and I feel we're ready to take on the Grand Line" At times Tora could be serious and especially when it concerned their journey. His fist slammed into the palm of his hand when he grinned. "I think it's about time we head for the Forgotten Isles and after stocking up, Reverse Mountain!!" They were ready, he knew they were. Although Tora seemed foolish most of the time he took his dream and the dreams of his crew members very serious. He glanced over at each of them before raising his arms into the air. "We'll sail the Grand Line, we'll reach the end and I will become Pirate King!! I can't wait to see what kind of adventures we'll have!! Awahaha!!" |

Zenko stared at Tora. Even despite Tora's wide knowledge on animals, the only thing he actually seemed to have knowledge of outside of fighting, he was so wrong again. Zenko shook his head slowly at Tora. "What you're describing is a Walrus, the majestic horse of the sand. Though Snow Leopards and Walruses are closely related, the difference is that a Snow Leopard has an utter, unlike the Walrus." Zenko nodded as he crossed his arms, as both Tora and himself showed just how little they actually knew about animals. As Pai moved in on Tora, Zenko could only nod in approval. There was only one way to deal with Tora, in violence and force. "Yes, good... Good... Let it flow trough you, Pai... Give in to it... Use it to force Tora to eat meat..." Zenko smiled, but it became apparent to Zenko at this point that Shin was challenging him. In what, Zenko wasn't really sure. But Zenko would go along with it, Shin would not out best Zenko on this day. "I bet I can thread more red lines than you in half the time!" Zenko took a big gulp from his mug, but unlike the Shipwright, Zenko wasn't affected by the alcohol. It never really had any effect on Zenko, outside that he found Tora's antics more tolerable. "What is the Grand Line like, Nola?" Zenko didn't know that much about the seas. He had heard stories about the Grand Line, that it was the most difficult and dangerous place to sail. His father had even sailed there, but never did he speak about his travels in the Grand Line. Zenko's attention was briefly nabbed by Tora. The First Mate looked at the confidence their captain had and slightly smiled. What ever they would face, the crew would manage. |

"Well, since it wasn't you eating it yourself, you still can't meet santa yet!" The female pirate exclaimed, patting the boy on the head, and wiggling about. She had actually convinced Tora to eat the meet himself, and it was Pai who managed to save her from following through on a promise she wouldn't be able to fulfill. So, with a little improvising, she scrambled her way out of another one, and the mystery of Santa and his Wife to Tora, would again, be foiled and undiscovered to the captain. Suddenly, Geno's ears perked to hear a question to the newest member of the crew from Zenko. The Grand Line. Shuffling over to where they were talking, Geno paid all her attention to the would be answer from the fishwoman. The Scarlett Pirate herself had only heard stories of the Grand Line, but only from people who MAY or MAY NOT have even gone. This woman had the real deal claims. Resting her arms against her head, Geno was all ears for Nola's answer. |

Guy's throwing skills were apparently as amazing as his sniping skills were. The mark on Shin's face, a result of the mug Guy had thrown at him just moments ago, was a testament to that. He gazed up at Nola when she spoke up about the Grand Line. It was a small comment but it spoke volumes about her. She had been on the Grand Line. Shin had not spent much alone time with Nola ever since she joined the crew--most of his time on the ship had been spent healing up, training to get back in shape and fixing the ship--so he had limited knowledge about her past and personality. Having already been to the Grand Line before... She had probably had a tough time. Shin put the mug down, deciding that he should try to sober up since the conversation suddenly took a turn to more serious matters. Matters concerning their future as pirates. Tora thought they were ready for it. Shin had to admit that the thought excited him somewhat. Not so much the dangers and horrors of the Grand Line, but the prospect of them being strong and known enough to venture into the Grand Line. To meet the famous figures of the world, stand up to them and make a name for themselves. To spread Justice and banish evil from all island on their way! "You've been to the Grand Line already? You've really been around..." She been a member of Sharx Reign and had been to the Grand Line. Even though she was their newest members, she was quite possibly the most experienced one of them. He sat near the fire ready to listen to what she had to say, trying to suppress his drunken urges to do something stupid. Edited by Shodan, Aug 13 2013, 04:36 AM.

Spike had been amused by the antics of the crew, as he watched them joke and play around from his spot near the beach. But now the talk seemed to have turned more serious, and Spike found himself holding his breath in anticipation. "The Grand Line?" Spike thought in amazement. "These fools are heading there?" He smiled to himself at the thought. Although he had noted just as many serious seeming members as goofballs, they all had to be a little weird if they thought this guy in the red hat were going to be pirate king. Although he didn't seem very foolish when he had actually been talking about heading to the Grand Line. He'd seemed... Determined. Spike had heard stories of the Grand Line, where there were islands with trees that grew tall enough to reach into the clouds, islands where the bushes would whistle a jaunty tune as you strolled past, and islands where the grass grows down from tree branches and forces the birds to nest underground. He had heard so many stories of amazing flora on the Grand Line. The Grand Line, where the wonders of nature took on a whole new life. "Oh, to see what the Grand Line has to offer..." Spike thought wistfully for a moment, his eyes growing large and starry, before snapping back to reality seconds later. "What am I thinking? It's these pirates that are leaving for the Grand Line. And not soon enough, either! I wish they'd just go, already, so we can get back to the tribe. Why did I volunteer for this, anyway? Everyone back at camp is eating, these clowns are eating, and I just realized I'm hungry. I should've had a snack with that tea..." Spike pouted at himself as he threw an internal temper tantrum, without really understanding why. "Well, it couldn't hurt to hear what she has to say." Spike thought to himself after a moment, immediately over his tantrum and inching closer to the fire as he tried to stay silent and hidden, listening intently to hear what the fishwoman had to say. Nola glanced over at Toar as Pai had him in a head lock. These two were by far the most rambunctious of the crew. While Tora was caught in Pai's grip he turned to look at Nola. It seemed like he wanted her to tag in. She merely sweatdropped when Tora mixed up the names of her and Zenko. Was she Zenla or Noko? "You should really eat more than apple sauce Captain-san. Your torture will be over soon enough." She sounded harsh, but it was mainly because she didn't want to get in the middle of that. It didn't take long for Pai to let Tora go though. Nola smirked while Tora hid behind Shin. Her attention however was brought to Zenko as he asked her a question about the Grand Line. All the sudden everyone was focusing on her. It felt a little strange to suddenly be the center of attention. "Thats right, I forget that none of you have been to the Grand Line yet." Nola paused for a moment and looked at the others. She knew they were looking for awe but she didn't want to sugar coat it as well. She took in a deep breath before speaking. "The Grand Line is like nothing you have ever seen before. The fact that you were able to handle Carter's crew means you are at the very least able to step foot out there. Even so, there are many challenges out there. Pirates from all four blues converge in the Grand Line, most of them dreaming of the same thing as you Tora. Not only will you have to face other strong pirate crews, but the toughest Marines are based in the Grand Line as well. Even the islands can present dangers to those not accustomed to their habitat." Nola stopped talking and looked around at the crew. She wondered if what she said was a little scary to them, considering they had never left West Blue. "Despite all that the Grand Line is something you have to see for yourself. There are wonders out there that you would have never believed existed. Its just a place you should not underestimate is all." |

Pai had been victorious in getting Tora to eat his food. Granted it had more to do with sheer force than tough love, but a win is a win. While the Captain scurried away to hide behind Shin Pai stood there with a cocky smirk. "Just remember that next time you decide to be stubborn with your food mister!" Having taken care of the issue he reverted back to his brain point form and started to clean up after everyone. While the Red Cap Cook made his way around the campfire Zenko had asked Nola a question they all had been curious about. Pai couldn't help but stop to turn and face her while she spoke. The picture she painted was not all cheery, but it did sound exciting. Thinking about his fight with Gallus Pai recalled how challenging that was. Facing off against Pirates and Marines strong than him was not something Pai was very much interested in doing. While Nola spoke Pai stood off to the side, nodding his head while folding his arms. "Yes, that sounds about right." He said in a rather factual tone, as if Pai had been to the Grand Line before. This obviously was far from the truth. The young panda had only just been to a human town recently. Even so, his Molebearpig brain had convinced himself that he had traveled through the Grand Line many times before. Off to the side Omach and Gorshu listened in closely to the pirates talk about the Grand Line. The idea of such a scary place was not something either was that interested in seeing. Looking over to his side though, Gorshu saw Spike focusing on the conversation. His interest was caught and he wanted to hear what they had to say. Gorshu couldn't help but grin, seeing Spike so swept up in the stories these pirates were telling. |

Not a single person in the world could understand Tora as he spoke while having jammed a spoon full of apple sauce into his mouth. With his attention fully focused on Geno and his brows furrowed he waved his arms around frantically splattering precious sauce with every word he uttered. Seriously. He was spraying the poor doctor but he couldn't help it. He wanted to meet santa and he had been about to reach for food until Pai so violently assaulted him!! The Captain twitched knowing it was of no use and instead turned to Pai. That cheeky Molebearpig!! He was ought to kick him!! Just as Tora was about to once again give Pai some serious attitude Zenko asked him a question that made Tora turn around in anger. His arms threw up in the air as he signalled Zenko not to ask such a question. He would have spoken had he not taken another spoon full of apple sauce mid turn. The spoon even lingered between his lips. Stupid Zenko with his stupid red hair and his stupid questions!! Why would he take away part of the adventure like that? Did he truly not understand anything about a "Man's Romance"!! Zenko was a demon!! A demon!! Luckily for Tora Nola was proving to be a real pal. The woman spoke casually about the Grand Line revealing something Tora already knew. It was nothing like he had ever seen before. That was exactly what the Captain hoped it would be and the exact reason why his eyes lit up. As Nola continued speaking she addressed the fact that many pirates shared Tora's dream. The Captain's smirk widened when he nodded. "Yeah. I'm the man who'll become Pirate King though" He spoke grinning with the utmost confidence. There was not a doubt on his mind. As Nola continued speaking about strong pirate crews, tough marines and islands that could present tremendous danger Tora's level of excitement visibly grew and by the end of Nola's informative speech the young man's eyes had lit up to the point they physically radiated like tiny stars. "Strong crews huh.... Tough marines..... Dangerous islands.... Awa.... Awahaha.... Awahahahaha...." |
