It all happened so fast. They disintegrated a lot of the forces of rogue candy, and dwindled the numbers down greatly, but something was still suspicious. A teddy bear appeared and asked if Achron had taken down someone known as Candy Oz. However, that bear itself was revealed to be Candy Oz, so it was a rhetorical question. It seemed he was more upset at Cela than anything, for eating one of his creations. Her arm seemed to have recuperated since she used it earlier, and as it did, he attempted to copy her special technique. She simply used her wings to glide backward, so he would stumble forward, especially after that axe kick. She shook her head, her stomach once again growling like a mad beast, filling the area with a deep foreboding. "Hey.. can I eat you? Or are you full of that drug stuff?.. Ah well, no matter. I'll just use it to my advantage. Prepare yourself~" Cela really did have an appetite that was too large for any human being. Being oriented for the air, she had better maneuverability and agility than this bear without wings. She slipped through the wind and appeared behind him. She grabbed his hand with her left arm and chomped on his wrist with her fangs, devouring some jello. As this being was apparently the creator of the drug, it was more potent than before. Her body became more toned than it did before. Her drug induced energy flowed through her body, making her right arm more toned than her left. "This is how you do it..." he struggled to break free, because he let his guard down and was about to pay for it. Since he was but a tiny teddy bear of jello, she didn't need the full force of her attack. But she would use it anyway, to make sure the deed would be done. She hoped he didn't work like the blob and more tiny bears grew in the places of jello. "15-hit Nail Strike!" The motion of her attack looked like only a single thrust. But in fact, it was fifteen rapid hit strikes to the same area. "One" the bear was sent back with a single hit of force. "Two" another hit of force appeared in the same spot. "Three" it happened yet again, until the number reached fifteen. As the numbers increased, the jello began to burst away at the seams. After her lethal attack finished, her body fell from the air and landed on the ground with a thud. Her right arm could not be used again unless it was given a lot of rest. She could not even fly anymore. She shifted back to her human form, her right arm convulsing from the use of the attack too many times in a row with the aid of foreign elements. Her normal amount she can perform is three. To do fifteen with a drug such as that would take an extreme toll on her body, and it was doing so now. |

From his sprawled position, Achron had been fairly surprised that the bear could even make it to Cela's height, let alone throw physical strikes at her like that. He was guessing that the bear was more the mastermind type then the one that did any actual hand to hand work, since Cela had simply needed to glide back and away from its somewhat futile attacks. Ben had forgotten about the drugs that she had ingested -- he was staring at her from his vantage point now, and he definitely felt some attraction in Cela's harpy form, as she ate some of the bear and physically steeled from the effects of whatever drug it held within. Candy Oz gave a pained shriek as Cela sent the bear reeling all of fifteen times. Every time she struck, Achron could see a liquid inside the bear bursting into the jelly body more and more, disrupting its' insides and practically gushing out at the joints and impact area now as Cela finished her combo and landed, somewhat hard. She looked tired. Kipping up to his feet, Achron watched Oz land a few yards off in a pained, grunting heap as some of the drug oozed out of his slow-moving body. Walking over to Cela, he grinned. "Nice work. Maybe now we can actually eat the stuff here. What sort of fighting style do you use?" he asked as Borodin and the Munchies ran up to Candy Oz now, all four yelling and spraying the jelly bear flush in the face/body. Well, that was one way to deal with the problem for now, he supposed. |

Heavy breathing was all she could do as she lay sprawled on the ground, looking up at the sky. This was the first and last time she would use foreign substances in her body. She vowed to herself to properly train her body to increase her strength. She heard a voice in the distance, unsure of where it came from in her state of exhaustion, but she recognized it as Achron. "I doubt we can eat the stuff here. It's still full of that drug. Just because the source was defeated, doesn't mean that it automatically disappears. That'd just be silly." she said as she continued to lay on the ground. With a few more deep breaths, as her adrenaline left her body, she slowly struggled to sit up, her arm still lightly convulsing as she grabbed onto it. "Fighting style you say? Which one? I have two of them. I assume you mean my Nail Strike. That.. is part of my patented Harpy Kenpo. Something I thought up on the fly because I had to get used to my new powers. I supposed it's based on Kung Fu, though. I don't think you've yet to see the one I normally use." she commented as she stood up from the ground, dusting herself off with her left arm. Her right arm slowed its convulsing to small throbs, but it still felt rather numb. |

"Well I asked because it works, for the most part." Achron replied as he extended a hand and helped Sheena to her feet. Whatever had been the effects of the drugs in terms of taking down both the giant jelly blob and now Candy Oz, she had done so not only in short fashion but efficiently, too. Those palm strikes were unlike any he'd seen out of anything but the monsters he and Slade had fought earlier in their seafaring career. It sent me flying through a wall ... he recalled as he came back to the present where a pretty harpy girl-turned human had just finished cleaning up a mess he normally would have had to deal with. "They both seem very effective. I wanted to train with you, Cela, spar and maybe share some techniques. I remember a crew I encountered that knew the techniques of Cipher Pol members -- flashstep, bullet finger, the usual tricks -- and what had made them so deadly was that they all knew those techniques. Even the navigator girl could throw wind cuts with her kicks. If you and I, and the White Eyes, were to unanimously gain power like that ..." he trailed as he once again came back to where he was, now. Borodin and the Munchies strolled over now, looking much-pleased with their defeat (initiated and mostly done by Cela) of Candy Oz. "He's a true blue cold-blooded bastard. He'll be back. He's never pulled anything as big as that before," Borodin motioned with the nozzle of his spray gun to the shuddering mass behind them, "But this little gummy bear was a piece of his mind. Maybe he'll come back as a house like he did last time and kill everyone within it. Or a candy lake and drown everyone. We must be thankful that this time he came as a bear we could see. How foolish of him." he finished, bowing his head with his teammates as if in remembrance. Slightly confused, Achron did the same a moment and turned to Cela. She looked like she needed immediate rest. And then, one more time, a roar flew up behind them in the city-centre area as the ground began to shake, very slightly. "His consciousness is dying and he's coming for us!! We need to flee to the ocean and outrun the last of his wrath!!" Borodin was joking. Candy Oz, the big, real thing, was slowly dying and using the last of its' drug-ridden control to send all candy alive on this piece of island after them. "Can we outrun them? Do we need to run into the ocean?" he asked, mulling on the possible lose-lose situation. "While we're running, they will begin to die and as we leave the city most of them should be dead. GO!! MOVE!! Do your duty and stay alive, you two. We will meet again." Borodin finished and he and the Munchies were off. Achron could see the candy coming now, one giant malicious wave uncaring of whether they were trampling one another. "Can you fly to the edge of the city?" he asked Cela, for if so she would have an easy time evading the wave of revenge coming at them; a dying organisms final chance at crushing the invaders that had thwarted it. So he asked about her style because her Nail Strike 'worked', whatever that meant. Cela took his offered hand and stood up on her feet, almost swaying forward back onto the ground until she regained her balance and composure. She dusted herself off once more as he continued to ramble on about training with her and exchanging techniques. She wasn't really interested in all of that. She wouldn't mind sparring with him, but if he wanted her to share her techniques with him, he'd have to become her disciple just like Freya. She had a tradition to uphold, after all. Then the local hunters arrived and the leader explained that the bear was just a small sample of the real deal. Just great. Just then, a roar filled the area as the ground began to shake. She heard Achron ask if they had to run into the ocean, which would be a bad idea for both of them, as they were fruit users. The leader once more urged them to stay alive and that they would meet again. She actually wished they would not meet again. She was tired and her body wanted to rest in a bed and flush the foreign substance out of her stream. Achron then asked her if she could fly again to escape to the edge of the city. She looked at her arm and shook it a tad, to see if it still gave spasms. It did not. "Yeah, I can.. kind of. Will you be okay on the ground, though?" she asked as she changed into her harpy form and took to the sky, moving toward the edge of the city, to the shore of Candy Island. |

"I'll be fine. They couldn't catch me even before they started dying. Fly swiftly." Cela seemed okay enough to fly, and Achron watched the Munchies go their seperate ways. What an interesting bunch they had been ... and well able to take out the candy issue time after time, as had been done here. And so Achron began to run towards the edge of the city and in fact Cela's direction as he raced along walls, swung over/under wires and speared through windows. To die now, would be tragic. Thankfully, he remembered some of the areas of the candy town they were coming out of. With a final row of houses ahead and candy mass dwindling, he slowed and turned around a moment. They were mostly walking now, sluggishly, some holding out a hand and falling on their faces and others with mouths melting, voicing inarticulate thoughts of who knew what and melting into the ingredient state. A liquorice spear flew out of the crowd and he batted it away with his sword, annoyed as he began running again. Beyond this last row of houses lay the path to the beach -- and the ocean. As he passed the row of structures and literally stomped on grass, a chocolate cheetah pounced at his face from behind and he fell onto his back, stabbing upwards and gutting it in half by its' own momentum -- but not before it had grabbed a mouthful of his neck. Even as it had begun to bite, though, the chocolate was melting and the moderate pressure on his neck slipped away. Stumbling away from the flowing mess, he continued his run. Achron would find their boat ... and they would leave this Island. But Achron would be back. There was something here he had to figure out, and a possible weapon he had yet to create out of this mess. He could tell that Cela wanted to be away from here as fast as possible and for the most part shared her sentiment. But he had to see Candyland when it was in its normal state. He had to know the root cause of what had happened here. He had learned so much here, and yet so many questions needed answering. And they will be. Taking a final look back at the eerie, tasty city behind him, Achron remembered what his powers were for and began gliding towards the shore and, further along the beach within an inlet, his dinghy. Thank goodness he'd remembered where to rendezvous for the soon-to-be-embattled White Eyes. As usual, things had not gone according to plan. -- End Topic -- Edited by Enlightened Monkey, Sep 29 2011, 10:21 AM.
