In light of my list of the most overrated games, it was only a matter of time before I listed off the most underrated of all time. Games that got really high ratings but didn't generate sales or get low ratings despite being good games.

10. War of the Monsters
I only place this game at #10 because the developers are the same ones who made Twisted Metal and they said they showed interest in making another. However, the general lack of hype for this game and the sales are why I place it here.

9. The Ty the Tasmanian Tiger Series
Ah, a member of the big three PS2 games from my childhood. Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. This series was original, if not memorable, with a fun atmosphere and just a great way to pass the time. However, it doesn't receive the amount of praise heaped on to Sly and Jak, making it an underrated classic.

8. Tiny Tank
God, what a hilarious game. Tiny Tank was a foul mouthed yellow tank that shot anything that crossed him. Tiny had a bit of an anger problem and was prone to defying the director of several short clips before a level. These ranged from curse word filled rants to subtle acts of civil disobedience. While reviews were moderate, the reception wasn't as good, and the game sold rather poorly.

7. Any Koei Spin-off Game
Koei's Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Dynasty and Samurai Warrior series have actually received high scores from magazines and generated high sales. So what is so hard about the fucking spin-off titles doing as good? Warriors: Legends of Troy, Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage, Bladestorm and many more are subject to even more scruitiny, not only in ratings, but sales are not that good either, ESPECIALLY in the U.S.

6. Amnesia: The Dark Descent
OH. MY. GOD. I have never been more terrified by a game in my life. This PC exclusive gives the player no way to fight back against the monsters along with several other effects to make your time playing a constant battle for survival. This kind of environment makes you dread even the slightest sound or movement. Known by many critics as the scariest game of all time, it would be thought that this would be a well known fact, right? Wrong. Most people will say Fear, Resident Evil, Silent Hill or Dead Space. I say Bull Shit. You can fight the demonic entities in those games. It's alot different in Amnesia, where simply opening the wrong door can get you killed.

5. Brutal Legend
Tim Schafer makes good games. They just don't happen to sell very well. After Psychonauts, Schafer released Brutal Legend, a game that celebrates all that is Heavy Metal in the most epic fashion. Though critics loved the game, praising it for the voice work, the story and the overall gameplay, buyers were more reluctant based on the heavy metal theme and Jack Black being the lead. Though surely these prejudices are immature, they sure as Hell stopped Brutal Legend from breaking records.

4. Psychonauts
Yeah, I know, another Tim Schafer game. But, come on, let's face it, both Psychonauts and Brutal Legend are underrated classics. Originally released for the Xbox, lacking sales forced a release on the PS2, which brought in more sales, but not too many. Another quirky original title that was swept aside by the casual players who love the taste of bland FPS (I'm looking at YOU, Halo).

3. Folklore
As you may know, I love this game. I love it alot. I do so because the story challenges your mind and actually engages those of higher intelligence. Choices between tactical and brutal fighting and two great characters made playing the game a true experience of emersion into the story and the Netherworld. Hell, it even made me question what life and death really are. Critics and gamers thought otherwise and passed it up without a second glance.

2. The Tomba Series
The Tomba series is one of those that was killed by unfortunate circumstances. Th first game generated pretty good critical acclaim and sales. It was enough for developer Whoopee Camp to make a sequel. However, the company tanked soon after its release, so Tomba 2, despite being an icon of nostalgia along with the likes of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon, was forgotten by the general populace.

1. The Legend of Dragoon
This game is the undisputed king. Despite having incredible critical acclaim and a massive fanbase, the sales couldn't total enough revenue for the company to warrant a sequel. The game had it all, a good story, memorable characters, a marvelous world to explore and a battle system that was more engaging than other Turn-Based RPGs. Hell, I gave it a 10/10 knowing full well everything this game had going for it. A sequel would be perfect in today's world with the leaps in technology. However, I know, like many others, that a sequel is not coming. It never will.
