Episode 1

[The second year of Junior High was over for the three Eds. Having finally learned the truth about Eddy’s brother, and now part of the in-crowd of the cul-de-sac, they had decided to spend the rest of the summer away from Peach Creek. They thought about a possible roadtrip idea, and finally settled on heading down south to Boston and then on to New York.]

Edd: Well, I’ll make the arrangements for our excursion, Eddy.

Eddy: You do it, Double D. Me and Ed will pack the stuff.

[Edd pauses for a moment, and quickly replies.]

Edd: Uh, that’s okay. I’ll pack my own stuff separately.

Eddy: You and your germ fear.

[Edd packs his own suitcase quickly yet orderly, with everything organized to a neurotic level. He also pockets a credit card, linked to his own account which he‘d been saving for years prior to this moment. It would come in handy for gas, hotel and souvenir costs. As he finishes up, Eddy and Ed do the same, and even drive up to his house in a familiar vehicle.]

Edd: Is that the junkyard car?

Eddy: Yep, me and Ed fixed it up.

[The bright crimson convertible gleams in the sunlight, with a streak of gold and orange to accent it. The interior made of a light tan leather and the dashboard is a brilliantly lacquered wood finish. The engine roars as Edd marvels at its brilliance.]

Edd: I think this is the most work you’ve ever put into anything, Eddy.

[Eddy smiles and scoffs.]

Eddy: Just get in the damn car.

[Edd jumps in as Eddy drives out of the cul-de-sac. Their drive from Peach Creek winds down from Canada and into Massachusetts after several hours, the journey having begun in the early morning. Nearly reaching their destination, the car begins to sputter, and breaks down far away from their destination. Eddy slams his fists against the wheel in anger, cursing as he does so. He and Edd get out to inspect the engine, which has all but exploded.]

Eddy: Fucking dammit! Must be my luck or something…

Edd: Looks like we’ll be walking the rest of the way gentlemen…

[Edd looks around, spotting a billboard advertisement a short ways away from their position that reads: TOWN OF INNSMOUTH…5 MILES. A wide smile brightens up Edd’s face as he revels in the discovery.]

Edd: Guys, look! There’s a town up ahead. Maybe we can get someone to repair the car?

Eddy: Well, there goes a big chunk of money gone already.

[Ed, who is still in the car, quietly gets out and lifts the whole thing over his head. He smiles and begins walking alongside Edd and Eddy.]

Eddy: Innsmouth? Never heard of it.

Edd: Neither have I, but given our location to the ocean, I’d say its most likely a port town.

Ed: Port makes me woozy, guys.

Eddy: I’m not even bothering this time.

Edd: Ed, we meant “port” as in a “harbor”.

Ed: Oh, sorry bout that guys. I got confoozzled.

Eddy: Just keep walkin’, Ed.

[Eddy says in a droll tone. The Eds walk for little over an hour before finally reaching the town. The town looks deserted, with dark clouds hanging overhead, adding on to the already bleak color scheme that Innsmouth possessed. It seemed everything was a single color: glasz; a mix of three different colors, gray, green, and most importantly blue. The buildings, the streets, the landscape, the clouds, even the people had a touch of glasz on them. As the Eds penetrated deeper into the town, they saw more and more people, though even then, the numbers remained countable on hands and feet. Many of the locals walked with a visible limp, with hunched postures and a heavy step. It was a strange place. All three felt nervous upon catching the antagonistic eyes of one citizen of the town, who seemed to stare at them as they passed by.]

Eddy: Double D, this place gives me the creeps.

Edd: I’m starting to agree, Eddy. I didn’t know this place would be so uninviting.

Ed: Is it too late for Ed to soil himself in terror?

Edd: Please don’t, Ed.

[They reach a mechanic’s shop and set the car down in the garage. A large man similar to the other citizens answers the door and steps out. His voice makes almost a gargling sound as he speaks.]

Mechanic: Well, good evening.

Edd: Good evening to you too, sir. We’re just passing through, but we wanted to know if you could help us with our car. The engine gave out a few miles out of town and need to get it running again.

Mechanic: Well, lets assess the damage then.

[He opens the hood up to see the badly damaged engine, seemingly beyond repair.]

Mechanic: Well, it’s a nice looking car, I can tell you fixed it yourself, but the engine is pretty old, older than the body even. It’ll take a while to find a replacement. I reckon it’ll take about a full day or two to get one called in from Boston. In the meantime, you boys may want to stay in town.

Edd: That’s fine, sir. We’re just grateful that you’ve offered your assistance.

Mechanic: Well, I’ll start working on this baby. Welcome to Innsmouth, boys. I hope you enjoy your stay.

[The mechanic smiles with an understanding in his expression. Double D smiles back as the group begins to leave.]

Eddy: Well, looks like we misjudged these guys.

Edd: Indeed, that man seemed like such an agreeable fellow. A lot nicer than I would have expected. We should try and find a room to stay in for the night.

Ed: With a nice, comfy, cozy bed!

[Ed makes several hugging motions to denote the comfortable nature of a mattress.]

Eddy: Yeah, that too. I want to search this place out a little more though. Just so we know our way around.

Episode 2

[The Eds begin to tour around Innsmouth for an hour or two. Despite the glimmer of hope found in the mechanic, the town still seemed hostile and melancholy. Poverty is rampant, and disease heavily concentrated in the impoverished sections of town. The town itself was a throwback from a bygone era, early twentieth century architecture by the looks of it, probably even earlier. The glasz coloration of the brickwork and wood suggested wide-spread rot and moss coverage to the point where the planks of the docks appear sturdy enough to hold the maximum weight of a flea.]

Eddy: Jeez, this place is a dump.

Edd: I’ll say…

Ed: It smells like my armpits, guys.

Eddy: Don’t remind me.

[The waves crash against the shores of Innsmouth, creating a calm, still ambience that seems to loom over the town like a giant. Off shore stands a lone island that solemnly sits quietly in the center of the blue expanse.]

Edd: It’s an island…

Eddy: No shit, Sherlock.

[Eddy turns to see Ed has disappeared. He completes his revolution, spotting Ed heading towards a building titled: FIRST NATIONAL GROCERY STORE. Curious, Eddy drags Edd along too to investigate. Inside, a single young lad, a few years older than they worked the counter, but at the moment was sweeping feverishly. As the three enter, the boy stops.]

Clerk: Welcome, how may I help ya’?

Edd: Well, we were just in the neighborhood and…

[Eddy interrupts.]

Eddy: We wanted to know some more information about the town. I’m sure you don’t mind…

[The clerk is frozen, his eyes convey a stern sense of foreboding…and fear.]

Clerk: Get out of this town as fast as you can.

Edd: Why would we? It seems nice enough.

Clerk: You don’t understand. I’m from Arkham, I don’t actually live here. But, things here are very suspect…you should leave the first chance you get.

Eddy: …

[Ed eyeballs jawbreakers held in the back of the store. Edd seems distressed with the news of the town’s possible “dark side”. The three leave and decide to find a hotel to stay in. They head back to the center of town, stopping at the Gilman House, a motel building owned by one Mr. Gilman. Like the mechanic, he is a large man, built heavily, but stands more upright than many of the other citizens of Innsmouth. His voice is a deep bass that resonates.]

Edd: Excuse me, sir. Can you put us up for the night? We need to wait for repairs to be made to our car.

Gilman: Aye, can do, strangers.

[He hands them a room key and heads upstairs with them and their luggage.]

Gilman: How long do you three plan on staying in Innsmouth?

Edd: Well, as long as it takes to get our car fixed.

Gilman: Aye, then may you enjoy the time you spend here.

[Eddy notices a powerful odor emanating from Mr. Gilman. The pungent au du fish entrails. In fact, the whole town reeked of fish. Mr. Gilman opens the door to their room, revealing a cramped space, furnished entirely with wood, with a fire place to the left and a bed large enough for all three Eds pressed up against the wall to their left. There are no windows in the room, but a door was placed on the eastern wall near the corner.]

Gilman: I hope you can make yourselves at home.

Edd: Indeed we can. Thank you, Mr. Gilman.

Gilman: No no no, thank YOU, stranger.

[Gilman grins, revealing two rows of sharpened teeth like those of a shark, though his distance makes it indiscernible to all but Eddy, who had remained closest to the door. Mr. Gilman leaves the three alone, but his presence looms. The three get their items ready for bed as night approaches.]

Eddy: I don’t like the look of things, Double D. It’s really fishy.

Edd: A pun, Eddy? I thought that was beneath you.

Eddy: I’m being serious! Some weird shit is going on and we’re acting like its nothing!

Edd: I’m sure its nothing, Eddy. Just get some rest and we’ll be out of here by tomorrow evening.

[Eddy remains silent in dejected anger at Edd for ignoring his pleas. Ed continues to ignore all the possibilities of a serious event by reading a comic book by the fire, entitled: Freedom Fighter Gunboy. The three would soon turn off the lights and head to bed around 10:00.]

Episode 3

[Sleeping soundly for about three hours, the town of Innsmouth seems quiet. However, the urge to relieve himself has awaken Eddy, and prompts him to search out for a spot to relieve himself. Before he gets the chance to, the faint sound of whispers can be heard outside the door. Not just one or two, but five whispering voices, speaking in turns. One belongs to Mr. Gilman, even. Eddy moves to the door to investigate, peering through the lock out into the hallway where, indeed, Mr. Gilman stood with four other men. They speak in their usual, gurgled voices, but hushed as if they didn’t want to be heard.]

Citizen #1: Is this the room of the strangers, Gilman?

Gilman: Yes, and by the looks of things they should be sound asleep.

Citizen #2: Alright! Let’s kill em before they discover too much.

[Eddy’s heart begins to pound, unable to move. The men move in, trying to open the door, but Eddy quickly bolts it shut and moves several objects in the way. The men on the other side are furious.]

Citizen #3: Dammit! Little bugger must be awake.

Citizen #4: Hurry! To the other door!

[Eddy rushes to the next room and barricades it, only to hear the maddening pounding of hands against the wooden barrier. Soon, an axe head digs into the door. Knowing there isn’t much time left, Eddy shakes Ed and Edd awake and pulls them along to the next room, bolting the door behind them. He looks around, spotting a window that heads out onto the roof.]

Edd: Eddy, what in the name of Sam Vincent are you doing?!

Eddy: There’s no time to explain, Double D! Just follow me and get the fuck outta’ here!

[Eddy disappears through the window and makes his way down to the street. Edd and Ed soon follow, disappearing down into the sewers for a temporary escape.]

Ed: Smells like my…

Eddy: We get it Ed.

Edd: What is the meaning of this! You wake us up after we just went to sleep to flee our only means of shelter?! What’s going on?!

[Eddy punches Edd before speaking.]

Eddy: I heard Gilman and the others say they were going to kill us. They thought we “knew too much”. I don’t know what’s going on, but we NEED to get out of this town.

[The group is silent. Neither says a word until a strange sound passes overhead. Eddy looks up through the manhole to investigate, only to see an unspeakable horror. A slime covered beast that was vaguely made out to be half frog and half fish. It walked on two legs as a man would, but made a deep gurgling roar signaling its arrival. As swiftly as it came, it disappeared. The three Eds made their way back to the surface and attempt to find shelter from the bloodthirsty Innsmouth folk. They soon come upon a house, the only one in the town with a light on, and proceed to knock at the door. It swings open slowly to reveal a young girl of 7 to 8 years, with dark brown hair with two separate braids, and dark brown eyes. Edd speaks to her.]

Edd: Hello there. What’s your name?

Ramona: Ramona.

Edd: Well, Ramona, are your parents home?

Ramona: Daddy’s at work, and mommy’s upstairs in the attic.

[The young girl plays with her braids as the Eds look at each other.]

Edd: The attic?

Ramona: Yeah, daddy says she’s up there for her own good. I try to see her, but she growls at me. I don’t love my mommy as much as I love my daddy.

[This news forces a cold sweat from every pore of the three Ed’s bodies. They still try and get into the house, hoping to find some resemblance of peace.]

Edd: Well, we wish to speak with your daddy. Is it alright if we come in?

Ramona: Sure, I guess.

[Ramona lets the three Eds in as they make themselves at home. Ramona plays with Ed, drawing with a set of crayons. Soon, Eddy and Edd become curious, staring at the flight of stairs leading to the attic. Ed leaves Ramona to her crayons as the three head up, the wooden construction creaking underneath their feet. They reach the attic, as the open space reveals a single hall, with only a single room shooting off from the main area. The three silently approach the door, which has been bolted and sealed shut with a steel opening in the top for peering inside the room. Eddy gets boosted up by Edd to look in side, sliding back the cover to reveal bars in the viewing slot. Whatever was kept in here was not meant to get out. He peers into the room, seeing nothing for a moment.]

Edd: Eddy, do you see anything?

Eddy: Just dark, lots and lots of dark.

[A loud bang startles the group as the door flies off the hinges. All three Eds are hit by the large object as a great, green blur speeds across their field of view. Eddy’s vision worsens as the last thing he hears is Ramona’s screams of terror, followed by grisly, horrible sounds. Darkness soon overcomes him.]

Episode 4

[Eddy wakes what seems like hours later to hear a pair of high and deep, powerful sobs. His vision still blurred, Eddy struggles to his feet, wobbling from side to side as he does. His journey down the steps of the attic enhances the volume of sad echoes from below. He enters the main hallway from which the three were invited, walking in on a ghastly sight. His heart pounding, stomach rising into his throat, Eddy turns away from the scene and vomits. He looks back with pain in his heart to see Edd and Ed kneeling beside Ramona. Rather, what used to be Ramona. The two are spattered with blood, having slipped on the crimson horror earlier. Edd bows his head in disbelief and sheer sympathy for the slain girl. Ed snuffles and bawls like a young child, having played with Ramona earlier. Ramona’s body is unrecognizable, a mass of eviscerated flesh and shattered bone. Organs and body parts are strewn across the room, the rafters themselves practically raining blood. Eddy stumbles closer to the grieving pair.]

Eddy: Double D.

[Edd doesn’t turn to face Eddy. He places his face in his palms and weeps more for Ramona.]

Ed: She was so nice to us, Eddy.

[Ed says between sobs. Eddy’s voice is solemn, even guilty.]

Eddy: I know, Ed. I know.
[Eddy places his hand on Edd’s shoulder.]

Eddy: We have to go, Double D. It won’t look good if we’re standing over a dead…

[Edd turns to Eddy, rage in his eyes. He cocks back his fist and lets it fly at Eddy’s face, leveling him.]

Edd: DON’T YOU FUCKING TELL ME WHEN WE NEED TO GO!!! WE DID THIS!!! WE LET THAT CREATURE OUT!!!

[Eddy stays on the floor, unable to look Edd in the eye. Before they can react, sirens blare, getting louder as the source of the sound approaches the house. Eddy snaps out of his daze and jumps to his feet.]

Eddy: Come on, Double D! We need to go!

[Edd turns away from him and stays kneeling beside the girl’s ravaged corpse. Eddy grits his teeth, grabbing Ed by the shirt and leading him out in a sprint down the street, and into a dark alley. The police arrive and barge into the house to find Edd with Ramona.]

Police Chief: Well, well, well, looks like the outsider killed a little girl. You’ll hang for this, outsider.

[The massive police chief grabs Edd and leads him away in hand cuffs. The other officer with him gathers the remains of Ramona as if it was routine for him. Ed and Eddy hide in the shadows, sneaking away. After wandering for an hour, they find an old abandoned railroad, possibly leading to the next town. Seizing the opportunity, the two follow the rails at top speed, not stopping for anything. By daybreak, the duo reach the town of Arkham, a vibrant city on the extreme opposite to Innsmouth. Their first stop is to the police station, where Eddy and Ed explain their story. The police chief in Arkham believes them, having received similar treatment years ago in the town. He contacts the FBI, who arrive in Arkham to meet Ed and Eddy. At the head of the soon-to-be Innsmouth Raid operation is Hubert Bissell, a tall man with dark features, dressed in a black suit with an oddly colored, pink tie.]

Hubert: Good morning, Gentlemen.

Eddy: …

Hubert: I hear you’ve been having problems with Innsmouth, big ones. That’s good. The town’s leader, Obed Marsh had been evading taxes for a while, but we couldn’t pin anything on the entire town to warrant a search. You did good.

Eddy: Our friend is still there, this shit ain’t over yet.

[Eddy’s eyes blaze with obsession, an obsession with revenge, and a conviction for rescuing his friend.]

Hubert: I see. You’re welcome to accompany us.

Eddy: More than happy to.

Ed: That’s right.

[Ed’s speech is now clear, not the usual, dumb rambling. His real voice is a lot higher than his original, and exceptionally youthful, but not wailing.]

Ed: We’re Double D’s friends. We won’t leave him to die

Eddy: That’s the most sense you’ve made in a long time.

[Eddy smiles, earning one from Ed as well. Hubert nods and assembles his team. They drive back to Innsmouth and move in on the Obed gold refinery, where Hubert told them was the center of the town’s operations. Not wanting to throw the two into the battle-zone unarmed, so he provides the remaining Eds with firearms of their own, two standard issue pistols for self-defense. The agents gather around the facility and quickly break down the doors. Ed and Eddy immediately rush in ahead of the group, and manage to dodge the guards. Hubert’s men engage several of the Innsmouth citizens, who are heavily armed and dangerous. Eddy and Ed make their way deeper into the facility until they find a small hatch that leads underground. Suspecting it to provide access to every other point in the refinery, the two head under and follow a singular path for several minutes. They later emerge on the other side in a spacious cavern with dripping stalagmites and bordered by moist walls lined with seaweed.]

Ed: It’s like we’re underwater.

Eddy: Yeah, this place was probably filled with water a while ago.

[They continue to trek further into the unknown cavern, until they come upon a truly horrifying sight. Their minds beginning to bend to the breaking point.]

Both: Oh my God…

Episode 5

[Pupils dilate, hearts pound fast, sweat drops form on the surface of their skin. Neither of the two Eds can move, paralyzed with fear, and feeling their minds bend to the breaking point, their sanity dwindling. A monolithic figure can be seen through the aqueous membrane of the cave’s walls. Taller than any house or even any building that they saw in Innsmouth, its broad, powerful frame moved and flexed with sinews as hard as steel. The image of the monster was distorted by the undulating water, keeping it out of complete focus, and keeping both Ed and Eddy safe from its madness inducing stare. A reptilian-fish hybrid, with scaly skin and a rounded, rough head. Its eyes black as the depths of the ocean, and its mouth filled with massive, needle-like teeth, each possessing a serrated edge on both of the sloping sides. The creature cannot see them. Seizing the opportunity, Ed and Eddy run out of that chamber and down a hall dripping with water. Both breathe heavily as they try to make sense of what they just saw.]

Eddy: What the fuck was that thing?!

Ed: I don’t know…but it’s big…REALLY big.

[Further into the cave, the faint echo of voices can be heard. Curiosity getting the best of them once again, the two Eds walk towards the sound, their footsteps echoing and then dissipating. A golden light peers around the corner, becoming a bright flash as they enter a large room. Adorning the walls and corners are several idols of weird creatures even more fantastic than the one seen from before. At the very back from where they were, the Eds see several fish-men gathered at an alter, above it a large opening of some kind that looks like a window of water. The fish-men chant and sing appraisals to an unknown deity. They stand in a circle around a golden table, upon which is Edd, lying unconscious on the slab. Ed nearly shouts out in surprise.]

Ed: Double D…!

[Eddy covers his mouth.]

Eddy: We don’t want to be discovered, dummy.

[The prayers become louder and more passionate, as the head of the fish-men, dressed in a bright red, ornate robe, draws a large blade from his cloak. The blade has multiple prongs and is designed to rip flesh asunder.]

Priest: We now sacrifice this soul to Father Dagon in order to awaken mighty Cthulhu, high priest of the Great Old Ones, our supreme master! And now we pray! Ia Dagon! Ia Hydra! Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!

[The other priests chant the same lines over and over again, waiting as the giant figure from before appears behind the window of water. Unable to stand by any longer, Ed and Eddy sprint out from their hiding place and rush the table. Ed’s beastly strength is unleashed on the priests, killing them in a single blow to the spine or the temple as Eddy lifts Edd on his shoulders. The two make their way out of the room, turning back only to see the bodies of the priests have disappeared. Not willing to find out what happened to them, Eddy and Ed exit the room and navigate through the winding tunnels of the cave. They eventually reach the hole they originally came in from, and make their way back through the refinery. Once out in the open once more, they find that Hubert and his men already handled the guards, now using them to light a large bonfire.]

Hubert: Well, you’re back…

[He looks at Edd.]

Hubert: And with a gift too.

Eddy: Enough joking around. There’s something big out there in the harbor. Something REALLY, REALLY big.

Hubert: Nothing a few bullets can solve. Maybe even a tank at max.

Ed: You’re gonna’ need a bigger tank for this.

[Hubert stands and pats the two on the back.]

Hubert: Sorry boys, but there’s no need for you to give us advice. We’re police.

Eddy: We’ll leave the police to what it does best then, harassing minorities.

[Hubert is silent as he and his agents leave.]

Eddy: Looks like it’s just us three, Ed.

Ed: Yeah…

[The two are silent as the waves begin to foam, and the massive figure of Dagon rises from the deep. Eddy and Ed can only watch helplessly as the leviathan roars, shaking the land with its bellowing war cry. With this sudden appearance, Edd begins to wake up.]

Eddy: Nice choice of wake up times, Double D.

???: Huh? Double D?

[He gets down, but the voice that is released from his mouth is not his own. It’s a deeper, more adult voice.]

Ed: Are you okay, Double D?

Yalhei: I guess you mean this body I’m, inhabiting. Yes, this is “Double D’s” body, but I myself am Yalhei, a member of the Great Yithian Race.

Eddy: Yithian?

Yalhei: I’m what you’d call an alien, my dear fellow. Your friend and I have swapped bodies. You see, we’ve enjoyed a mutual friendship with the human race for quite some time now, allowing them to visit our home planet in our bodies. We can swap minds telepathically and then switch back when we have gathered the information we need.

[Eddy looks at Dagon who makes his way towards shore.]

Eddy: Uh, friend or not, that THING is going to kill us.

Yalhei: Old Dagon? Not a chance…

[A blue spark flashes in Edd’s eyes as Dagon flies back for no reason. He sinks down into the depths, and doesn’t come back up.]

Eddy: Whoa…

Yalhei: Wanted to do that for a while.

Eddy: So…can we have our friend back, please?

Yalhei: Sure, he’s been waiting for a while now. I guess I’ll see you two gentlemen later.

[In an instant, Edd’s mind has returned as he looks around to see Ed and Eddy.]

Edd: Guys…you’re here?

Eddy: We couldn’t let you get killed by fish-men.

Edd: …

Ed: Why wouldn’t we save you, Double D?

[Edd smiles warmly.]

Edd: Let’s go home, guys. I’ve had enough of New England for one day.

[They turn away to head back, but soon hear the booming foaming of the ocean rage behind them. Rising, eldritch and monolithic, the visage of an unspeakable creature. Its body the combination of a human and a dragon, a powerful body, muscled and covered with kelp-green scales. Its back adorned with two, enormous, reptilian wings. Its hands are like the hands of a man, but with gigantic claws, with webbing between each finger. It’s head, terrible and strong, is like the body of an octopus, with a beard of tentacles that cover its mouth, a large, gaping maw filled with sharpened teeth. It’s eyes are bright red, like a roaring fire. It stares down the three Eds with extreme apathy. It speaks in a language none but Edd can decipher.]

Eddy: What’s it saying Double D?

Edd: “Creatures who dwell on the surface of this planet, your time has come. I, the mighty Cthulhu have awoken from my eternal slumber to claim rightful dominion over your world and to satisfy my hunger.”

Eddy: Well tell him to fuck off and bother another planet!

[Eddy’s voice shows distress in the face of Cthulhu.]

Edd: Well, I’ll need some time…

[Edd wrings out his clothing for the sea water, beginning a chant.]

Edd: Zazii, Zamaii, Puidmon the Powerful,
Sedon the Strong, El, Yod, He, Vau, He,
Iah, Agla, protect me and help me when I summon the Gate!

[Edd uses drift wood as incense and burns it slowly.]

Edd: No evil may approach from the North!
No evil may approach from the East!
No evil may approach from the North!
No evil may approach from the East!
No evil may approach from the South!
No evil may approach from the West!
No evil may approach from Zenith!
No evil may approach from Nadir!
[Edd bows in each direction. Cthulhu begins to move towards the shore.]

Edd: The Flaming Circle locks everything in!
Draba, draba, kalta, kalta, entemoss!
The Flaming Circle locks everything out!
Draba, draba, kalta, kalta, entemoss!
Accar, Zour and Maroud! Lock the circle and let no evil pass through!
Draba, draba, kalta, kalta, entemoss!

[Edd directs Eddy and Ed to sprinkle more slat water and the incense around. They do so, creating a barrier. Cthulhu steps upon the beach and attempts to breech the shield. His fist lands, but cannot break it.]

Cthulhu (Translated): What is this?!

Edd: Per Adonai Elohim, Adonai Jehova
Adonai Sabaoth, Metraton Ou Agla Methon,
Verbum Pythonicum, Mysterium Salamandrae
Cenventus Sylvorum, Antra Gnomorum
Demonia Coeli God, Almonsin Gibor
Jehoshua Evam Zariathnatmik, Veni, Veni, Veni!

[Edd makes several hand gestures, representing different geometrical forms.]

Edd: Hear me!

Your servant call upon you!

Cthulhu: NOOOOO!

[A large portal opens, revealing a conflagration of orbs floating in space. The undulating mass begins to speak.]

Yog Sothoth: I am the keeper of time, the guardian of the gate, Yog Sothoth. A servant calls upon his master, and so shall I hear his plea.

Edd: Mighty Yog Sothoth! It is the great Cthulhu who plans to ravage our planet. I beg of you! Seal him away within your frozen space!

Yog Sothoth: Cthulhu, the mighty Old One of R’yleh…it shall be done.

[The void begins to vacuum up Cthulhu, dragging him towards the portal. As he is pulled into the dimension, he tries desperately to hold on to the edges of the rift, only to fracture it as he is pulled in and the portal shuts behind him. Eddy and Ed turn to Edd with astonishment.]

Eddy: where did you learn to do that?!

Edd: The Yithian library at Pnakotus, I read a copy of the Kitab al Azif and learned the spell.

[Eddy and Ed are confused by Edd’s statement.]

Edd: Never mind, let’s go home.
[The three manage to meet up with Hubert and his men, heading back to Arkham to catch a bus back to Peach Creek. As the view of Arkham disappears in the distance, Edd thinks to himself silently, only to be interrupted by Eddy.]

Eddy: Double D, do you think that more of those things exist?

Edd: Indeed I do.
