Please take a moment and sign the petition! My goal is to get at LEAST 500 signatures and then I will be going to Clarington Town Hall to get our off leash dog park! Oshawa has one, but we shouldn't have to go that far!!!!! Pass the link around and get those signatures!

Hi,
I think this is a great idea and I have just signed the petition my only concern is my dog. I have a female spayed boxer mix, she is friendly and just a happy dog, but everyone thinks she is a pitbull. Because of this I have to muzzle her in public, so my question is will she be allowed into this off leash dog park?

I know at the Oshawa park, there is a sign saying something about pitbulls and I would like to see the same at ours WHEN we get it. Many dogs have the facial features of a pitbull, but they aren't. I know my dog is one of those dogs. He is a yellow lab/rhodesian ridgeback mix, but has the face. When it comes down to it, it is responsible owners that we want to attend the park.

Who told you that you have to muzzle her? I see numerous pits that are NOT muzzled, so why should you muzzle her IF she isn't a pit? That isn't right!

I am sure the city will have their restrictions pits and I would hope pit owners will respect that.

That being said..I don't see why you should feel that you wold have to muzzle and/or not be welcomed into a public off leash park if she ISN'T a pit!
