FIRST NAME: Wagner. ~Nickname/Alias: Piccard. LAST NAME: Dirk. ~Prefix: Charming. ~Suffix: That cheap bastard! (Or something to that effect.) GENDER: Male. AGE: Old enough to know better. Not that that's ever stopped him... Let's go with 28 years of age. APPEARANCE: Best described as a mixture of gentleman, and scoundrel. There are two silver earings in his right ear, three in his left. His eyes are narrow and wide set, his nose short and wide, and his ears are even larger. But these are mostly hidden by a monstrous bush of hair. His upper-right canine is missing, but depending upon who you are talking to, that can either help or harm his appearance. Nevertheless, his smile is large enough to cover all of Paris, and as frequent as the thieves which inhabit it. His face is always clean shaven, accentuating the harsh angles of his chin. He very rarely changes his clothing- but he does make sure to keep it very clean. It's not that he doesn't have the money- he has more than enough- but he thinks wasting money on clothing and appearances is foolish. He frequents a squatty, slightly used-looking, bent top hat. White cotton shirt, burnt orange waist coat, brown cravat, overcoat, and pants, and a very worn pair of Hessian boots. ~Height: Massive. 6' 4". And the boots don't help matters. ~Build: A girth very unlike his height- toned but small. ~Skin Tone: An unsettling olive, hidden beneath various layers of sun and tan. ~Hair Colour: Brown, nearly black. ~Eye Colour: Brown. ~Face Claim: Ben Barnes ~Accent/Phonetics: His accent is French, but traces of both Dutch and American can be picked up with certain words- especially the 'we' 'wa' 'wo' sounds. HISTORY: Ready for this? He was born in Belgium (Flanders,) to a French speaking mother, and a Dutch speaking father, the latter of whom he obtained both appearance and temperament from. At eight, he entered into the Dutch navy, working as a powder monkey, his wages being sent home to his mother and father. By the War of 1812, he'd long established himself as Able Seamen, and by Napoleon's final defeat in 1815, he had become a Carpenter's Mate in the French navy. At one point, he spent 3 months in America as a prisoner of war, in Boston (That would've also been during the war of 1812.) Recently, he has taken up residence in Paris, which he is no stranger to, having been 'beached' several times in France. He moved there from Arras, where he had lived for half a year, just around the corner from Robespierre's old apartment. Of course, that was long after Robespierre had paid his respects to Madame G. He works now busing tables for several cafes, and makes good money for it too (because that's basically he life.) He is not a stranger to operations of... questionable... legality, but doesn't find them very enjoyable and does not intend on ever going to prison, either. (They were always stupid, harmless little bouts with his mess mates.) He regrets them, and works hard for a decent living. ~Family Member(s): Parents dead, younger brother named Reg. ~Spouse/Fiancé(e): He doesn't intend to marry... ~Love Interest: Love? Ew! ~Crush: Women. In general. ~Lover: If it has a pulse... ~Belle/Beau: In the market... as it were. PERSONALITY: Not self centered, but very, very egocentric. That is undoubtedly his biggest down fall. He doesn't talk much- if at all, because he only talks to people who have bothered to address him, which very rarely happens. Sarcastic, biting, and overall, a complete bastard. But he is not afraid of hard work, and admires others who are the same way. He isn't one for close relationships- his letters to and from home were always very forced, and he hasn't seen his brother in years. Then again, it's possible that he had and just didn't know what it was him. ~Quirks: He is quite a neat freak, which comes mainly from working in the navy. Not obsessive, though. If he were, he wouldn't be able to handle life in a busy city like Paris. But he keeps his own small apartment very tidy. (Then again, there isn't much in it to make the place a mess. He also finds spend-thrifts to be very irritating. ~Sexual Orientation: Human, preferably. ~Other: He... likes theater. That's the one luxury which he allows himself. And he hates Church. With a burning passion. Not that he doesn't believe in God... It's just such a waste of time! He'd be in the Confession for days at a time and by the time he left he'd have to go straight back in for cursing the Priest. SECRET WORD: jejune. Can I just say that I love that word?
