════════════════════ RULES ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
GENERAL ══════════════════════════════════════
- Have fun! Or at least try to? If you aren't having fun with us, then perhaps this is not the best place for you.
- Use your brain. Use common sense.
- Treat others as you wish to be treated. i.e. Respect others.
- The maximum rating of this board is M. Meaning that there may be mature situations including but not limited to; substance abuse, sexual situations, violence, coarse language, and other mature themes. If you are younger than thirteen, you will be unable to register, but we will not enforce an age restriction beyond that. We are putting our trust in your judgement, please do not abuse that. Mature threads must be labelled as such somewhere in the thread title, just to be safe.
- Similarly, please do not to force others to make their characters participate in mature situations/scenarios if they specifically tell you not to in some form OOC (out of character). Again, respect others.
- In relation, no negative actions towards users when they are out of character. This will provoke an unsafe environment, which is not welcome here. We want you all to feel safe and comfortable here.
- Please ask an administrator if you have any questions. We won't bite, honestly.
- When registering, please be sure to sign up with a generic alias to reflect you, as a member, rather than the character you play, given that we have an account-per-player system.
CHARACTERS ══════════════════════════════════════
- Please, no godmoding. Unless you have permission from your roleplaying partners. What is godmoding, you ask? Basically, it means that the only characters you have control over are your own, and you cannot make other characters on here do things without the consent of their authors. What you think another member's character might feel, say, think, or do, may differ completely from what the member controlling them thinks.
- You must have a minimum of ten in-character posts with one character before you can create another. Beyond that, you may make as many characters as you can handle.
- No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus. These titles refer to characters that are 'perfect' in every aspect without any faults. Nobody's perfect! This may also refer to characters who are extremely stereotypical, cliché, or hopelessly tragic. See Death To Mary Sue! for details.
POSTING and PROFILES ══════════════════════════════════════
- Please do not post anywhere until your biography has been accepted.
- When speaking OOC in an IC (in character) thread, please bracket your OOC text in some way to differentiate from your IC text.
- Please don't use chatspeak. IC or OOC. That goes for the cbox too.
- Please check your spelling and grammar before you post. Proofread! Utilize spell check! It's easy!
- Please keep OOC text to a minimum within IC threads. If there are things you want to discuss with your fellow roleplayer, use the cbox or send them a private message instead.
- Please refrain from re-sizing your text, changing the font, or re-colouring the font so that it becomes unreadable in IC threads.
- Please supply us with a list of the characters you play in your signature. Even better, put a link to each character's biography in there. This makes it easier for others to see which characters you play, and lets them get to know them right away by having a link to their biographies right there!
