On her Father's side of the family they were low level English aristocracy and on her Mother's side her grandfather owned quite a few facteries, specifically using child and female labour in order to cut costs. ×RELATIONSHIPS Mr Henry Worthington – deceased – former husband Mrs PERSONALITYOld Mary was once a stylish and beautiful woman, her marriage to Henry had kept her happy and her sanity in check. She was a devoted wife to Henry and lived quite happy in an English middle class background where a woman was expected to be educated – but not too educated. Even at this point she was obsessed with her looks. Cosmetics, miracle creams, wigs, accessories, the whole works was used in order to keep her looking beautiful. A woman’s appearance rather than her tongue or mind was more important. This was something that was strongly stressed during the woman's adolescence as well as that a woman must always look good for her husband - if he does happen to stray it's her fault because she did not maintain her looks properly. She used to be very narcissistic (still is), doesn't realise she's old or would be unattractive to young men.
