If you happen to play a performer at the Opera, I think it's about time we had a big thread during one of the Il Muto early rehearsals. As of now I'm assuming that Carlotta has the Countess role, but Liza/Elise can work that out in more detail to their hearts content. It's all good with me. Wot you think?? |

Excellent idea! *doesn't squee, but only because he's not sure that men are allowed to squee* I have always assumed that the singing and dancing choruses are essentially separate groups (like they were in old musicals up to about the 1940s), but I could be wrong... Of course, everyone has to do a bit of both, anyway. Hmm. Where was I going with that thought? Not sure. Oh, dear. It's late in this time zone! Anyway... Tristan will be in a pure chorus role. No speaking bits, no solo lines of singing. He willnot be overly pleased, but he can make darned sure that he either gets noticed for his own good work or gets other people noticed when they mess up. Subtly. Or not. I don't know. He can't be too obvious about being a bit, um, Tristanish, as otherwise he'd end up in the Seine... *suddenly worries that Tristan may be impossible to RP. Bother* He will also not like the shepherdy costumes. I wonder whether the chorus get to be anything else as well. I'm tired. Sorry. This has become rather rambly and stream-of-consciousness-y. I think it's a great idea, I look forward to it, and I plan to have Tristan suck up to people who he thinks it would do him good to suck up to. |
