FIRST NAME Tristan ×MIDDLE NAME Gareth ×NICKNAME/ALIAS He has taken the stage name of Tito Bevani in the belief that sounding Italian might give him an edge of some kind. He regrets it already, but he's stuck with it now. LAST NAME Bevan ×PREFIX - ×SUFFIX - GENDER Male AGE 23 APPEARANCE Tristan takes great care of his appearance, wanting always to look his best, hoping to gain attention from someone, anyone really, whether it be theatre managers or members of the public. Wherever possible, everything will be as perfect as he can make it, whether on stage or off and he is constantly looking for ways to improve on his supposed perfection. For Tristan, all of life is a performance. He pays particular attention to his hair, as he believes it would look much better if it was completely straight, and quite happily applies the latest pomade or wax in order to make it shine, paying very little heed to what it may happen to smell like. He favours macassar oil as a rule (though he uses more than might be the best idea), but seems to enjoy the quest for a new and better invention. Tristan likes to be clean, and this lies on the borderline between his desire to look good and and a psychological need. He is a tallish man, but thinks of himself as taller than he really is - he has been known to say 'approximately six feet' when asked, but the true measurement is at least two inches shorter. His body is certainly not unpleasant, but is unremarkable - not being primarily a dancer, he has not devoted the many hours of intense work that would be required to develop his muscles and sculpt his body into an artistic ideal. ×HEIGHT 5'10'' ×BUILD Fairly average, despite his best attempts ×SKIN Caucasian. Very clean (or covered with theatrical make-up during or after a performance). ×HAIR Dark brown, with a tendency to curl ×EYES Brown ×FACE CLAIM Jonathan Groff ×ACCENT/PHONETICS Tristan speaks with an unmistakable Welsh accent, whether he is conversing in his mother tongue or in either English or French, both of which he can speak moderately fluently. It's not quite so pronounced when he sings, but it's still there. OCCUPATION Singer in the chorus at the Paris Opera. HISTORY Born and raised in Wales, Tristan had always been praised for the beauty of his voice, and did all he could to develop it, taking tuition and advice from anyone who would give it. Although his merchant family had money and a comfortable life, and he would certainly be capable of joining and eventually running their business, this was not what he wanted - his desire was for greater recognition, even fame. Once of age to leave home, he came to Paris, believing it to be a greater centre of musical excellence than anywhere in Britain and set about improving himself yet further. Dreaming of becoming a lead tenor, he approached the management of the Paris Opera on a regular basis, but was turned away time and again. Needing money, he managed to attract the attention of several wealthy individuals, who would provide him with somewhere to stay and contribute funds for his vocal studies until they tired of him and found some other, better young plaything. While under the wing of his third such sponsor (a minor noblewoman from England on an extended vacation in Paris), Tristan found success and was rewarded for his efforts - a place in the chorus was his. Of course, he aspires to greater things, but for now, he works hard at the Opera, taking every opportunity to prove his worth and to rise above the ranks of the others. He has been a member of the company for two years now. ×RELATIONSHIPS Father: Gareth Bevan Mother: Morgan Bevan (maiden name Morgan Davis) Younger brother: Rhys Bevan Several former lovers PERSONALITY Tristan wants fame and success more than anything, and will do whatever it takes to get it. He would sleep his way to a principal role if only he could work out who to sleep with. He would lie, cheat and steal, but he would stop short of any form of violence - not for any moral reason but because he lacks the physical stregth and the stomach. He loves the sound of his own voice, particularly if the voice is praising the wonder that is Tristan Bevan (or indeed Tito Bevani). He longs for the day when he is the principal tenor of a company, when it will no longer matter what he looks like or who he fawns over - he longs to indulge his passion for French pastries without fearing for his figure and he longs to be worshipped and adored by audiences full of fans. Scheming and self-centred he may be, but if he should manage to forge a friendship, that friendship is solid and secure, far more so than with any of his lovers. They have been a means to an end - he gave them what they wanted, and they provided safety and money. He has yet to truly fall in love. He is fiercely fond of his younger brother Rhys and writes to him regularly, though it could be said that he exaggerates his achievements a little when he does so. ×QUIRKS Slightly claustrophobic. ×SEXUAL ORIENTATION Bisexual, though most attracted to men.
