Since Ska was so bloomin' gorgeous as to share her fantastic obscure opera and musicals with us, I thought we needed a place to share a little about our geekisms. So this is it. The resource thread for geeks. The idea is that you post a link or picture or other media representing your particular geekery, and write a little about it. Books, TV Shows, Subjects, Movies.... anything.

I'll start with Sapper. LINKAGE -
A few years ago I was rumaging through a second-hand bookstore and I came across a tattered tome of short stories entitled 'Word of Honour'. The Author was one 'Sapper'. I have never regretted buying the book, as the stories have that delicious English 20's feel to them. Classic, with often a very cute or very bizarre twist at the end. My favourite story was an utterly adorable, slightly cliched but heart-warmingly Wodehousian story called 'The Professor's Christmas'.

DOCTOR WHO!

Basically the best sci-fi show ever. It's the longest running and has a great track record for being awesome. A space pimp who's the last of his species takes a bunch of girls around the universe in his TARDIS, which is this magical time/space/dimensions machine that can take you anywhere and anywhen.

TV TROPES.

I cannot stress enough how addictive this site is. (And contagious-- I typed "TB Tropes" there first.) It's like a cheat sheet/literary analysis/fangasm for every fandom you can name, and... you have to see it to believe it.

ZELDA

My personal favourite is The Ocarina of Time (I love the classics). It's the typical 'save the princess from evil lord' plot, but the different obstacles are SO well thought out. You have to enter different temples, and fight some really neat bosses. AND you get to travel through time.

PROTOTYPE

This one JUST came out in Montreal. I've only just begun, so I can't give a full synopsis, but so far, the best word to describe it is 'EPIC'. You have SO much power, anc can do really neat things like shape shift. It's a little difficult at first, but you get used to it.

STAR WARS

Yes, I'm the classic nerd who REALLY REALLY wants a Force FX Lightsaber XD. I hope I don't have to give a synopsis 0___o.

STAR TREK

Bahahaha, another classic. Again, I haven't seen the ENTIRE series, but I watched most of the Original Star Trek, and Voyager. I'm attacking the films next. But, yes. It takes place in space, and the plot varies based on the season.
