Just letting you all know ahead of time... Tech week for Into the Woods is coming up very quickly. I know I haven't been around much at all any way because of the show... but now that we're getting closer and closer to opening, which is about two weeks away... My rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday have been running until 10 PM so I'm never home until late, and when I do get on... I end up staying up another hour at least, or usually until midnight, doing homework and coming on here to just check things out. But I can't guarantee that the week of the show... As for next week... we finished auditions for The Boyfriend, and I thought they went really well... the cast list was posted today and I did end up being cast as Maisie, which is the part I auditioned for/wanted to play/thought I wouldn't be cast as... but I'm not entirely sure whether I'm happy about it or not anymore for... various reasons. I don't know how to feel about it right now. Or how I should feel about it due to some things that were said today. But rehearsals for that start Monday... 3:30 to 5:30 PM after school... then Into the Woods is 7:00 to 9:00 PM - except on Tuesday and Thursday when it runs until 10:00 PM. Some days... I probably won't be able to get on. I apologize if I'm doing a thread with you and I'm slower to reply because of this. Lately... things have been mildly difficult. And very stressful, and my emotions - and my feelings, for that matter - have been thrown about rather carelessly lately by select people... But I'm doing my best to stay as active on the site as I can while I'm driving all over for rehearsals and what not. xoxo ♥ ♥ ♥ - Eliza |

Yeah. So... show opens tomorrow. I, likely, will not be on from tomorrow night at 5:00 (my time) until Monday night when things become less hectic. I'm a nervous wreck... I'm staying home from school tomorrow to rest for the show. (So I may post some...) Things are just... It's going to be good. I know it is. But there are aspects of it that aren't. And not just that, but then there are aspects of it where I just feel like it's going to completely fall apart. Our stepmother has been out for two weeks with walking pneumonia and just recently came back... Florinda was running a fever yesterday... Our Cinderella JUST got her voice back after being sick all week... The director fell a few days ago and sprained his ankle to the extreme where he's on crutches... (All of my witch screams are killing my voice, just to throw my two cents in X3) And worst of all... Our Baker burst a capillary in his throat yesterday and was in the hospital all day choking and coughing up blood. Only to wind up running a 104 temperature today. The day before we open. He had to miss the final dress... And the woman who music directed is making me want to choke things. As are the two people playing narrators. Yes. We have two narrators. Fuck the what? And they suck. And miss cues. And talk too fast. One missed a cue tonight because he was backstage texting. I'm sick of this people not taking things seriously shit. I think the only people in this who are saving my sanity are The Baker's Wife, Rapunzel, Little Red, and the orchestra conductor. And this one guy who had played the Cat in the Hat in Seussical a year ago came in for two rehearsals and taught us all of the music the RIGHT way. I just wanted to hug him until all his stuffingses popped out. :D With that, on top of other extreme frustrations and annoyances... I am very literally clinging to my last shred of sanity. If I survive this weekend, it's going to be a fecking miracle. And then Lovett and I are going to come running back to all of you with love and kissies and hugs and glomps and snugs and everything imaginable. She kinda gets crazayyyy when I keep her away too long. :S ^-^;; Anyhows. End bitchfest. I just needed to get my last-minute frustrations/worries/rants out. Love you all, and thank you so much for your support! (P.S. - if it's possible and you guys wannaaaa, I may try to find a way to get some of the show into my Photobucket, so I has some videooos! I demand videos. DEMAND them. Man, love, that sounds crazy. ::big hug:: Rehearsals can be nuts - but wow. My sympathies and I'll be in the audience in spirit waving little Go!Lovett flags and handing out pies. |

Oh, sweetie, I know your pain. PJgame opens in two weeks, and we're so unprepared its not funny. Not to mention all the costumes I was going to wear suddenly no longer fit. Meaning I have to go and get all new dresses by Sunday. Good luck with your show! |

I think I've already mentioned this to some people, I know I talked to Dree a little bit about it at the beginning of this week... Okay... so Into the Woods finished... and all of my recitals/concerts/benefit things to sing and play at are FINALLY done. Now all I have are rehearsals for The Boyfriend... I have chit tons of pictures from Into the Woods - a professional photographer took them, considering her son was in the show... XD I don't have mine uploaded yet that I took from the show, most of those are from dressing rooms/backstage whereas hers are from the actual performances. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna cry since I don't get to hear our Jack sing Giants in the Sky anymore... :C it was so gorgeous. Annnnyyyyhhhooowwww.... :3 Anyone who wants to see pictures, just PM me. I don't know about video yet, but when I get the DVD I'll tinker with it and see if I can do anything... if I can, then I'll probably post some or something. :D As for being behind on threads, I hope to catch up with those on Sunday, or maybe tomorrow afternoon - today was just a day where I had to sit and recuperate from going from Into the Woods straight into more rehearsals and stuff. Like Monday I had a rehearsal and a chorus practice, Tuesday I had to help with the freshman orientation at the HS, Wednesday was a benefit for a new performing arts center where Into the Woods performed, and Thursday was my HS Ladies Choir/Mixed Choir/Jazz Band/Concert Band concert. :S My next recital is Tuesday where I'll hopefully get to sing some Wicked... Tomorrow I have to go to a large group band competition for my cousin, then spend the night at someone's house... then have an hour long voice lesson for my solo ensemble competition. -head....desk- So essentially, yes, I hope to be posting non-stop on Sunday when I get home. :] Which should work, I'll have two days to focus on nothing but those posts, essentially, and then the world will be bright and happy and wonderful again because Liza will have posted for the first time in, essentially, two weeks! :0 Dree: the unprofessionalism was beginning to become too much to bear. Thankfully, though, opening night was spectacular. Saturday's matinee... wasn't so great, but the evening performance on Saturday was by far the best show. And Sunday, of course, I was crying so much that I flubbed the "Children Will Listen" section of the finale. Though apparently no one noticed, so... :3 Hopefully RENT won't be this bad, though I've heard that RENT is going to be outside... in a parking lot... just like Joseph. Only Joseph was in a park. On an actual... unfolding stage... RENT is just gonna be in the parking lot. Which is kind of cool, they're going to graffitti this wall behind the "stage" and stuff... so... I just hope it doesn't rain, or that they'll finally learn their lesson about outside shows if it does. -facepalmplz- Erical: I would take the pies. They always sell carnations at our shows, but for Beauty and the Beast they sold light up roses because of the enchanted rose, you know? And then at the last show, during the finale, or the curtain call, somewhere in there... there was one of those same roses from the show in the audience and that just made me bawl even more than I already was bawling because I knew I'd have a hard enough time getting over Into the Woods that I didn't want to be reminded of Beauty and the Beast.... XDXDXD (And I'll try to get videos! <3) Thank you so much for your support, and last but not least: Good luck with your opening night PqA, and if I've already missed it, I hope it was fabulous! ♥ And I hope your dress-searching and opening night work out as well! ♥ (Oh, and P.S.: some good news! My art final was taken to a conference art show with my school, and I placed third! One of our seniors was first, and a sophomore was second. I don't know if it was out of the whole show or not, though, but I know I got a third place ribbon... I'm not gonna bother making another thread, 'cause it'd be kind of a waste of space to post something like this. I'm not really... gone. I've just been having a rough few weeks with rehearsals for this musical, and with prom coming up... I had an audition over the weekend for the Wizard of Oz, with a professional theater company - a company that would pay me to perform with them - and the only reason I lost that role (or Dorothy) and wound up in the chorus (not that that's bad - I just set my goals really high :S) was because: A. I was getting over being really, really ill with bronchitis so my voice wasn't... at its best, so to say. B. Because I'm so young that I doubt they trust me with the role of Dorothy, though they called me back with two other girls as a serious contender. C. One of the girls I was up against is a girl who, essentially, gets any and every role she auditions for. And I'm just kind of... down about that. Not a lot. I don't think I'm even going to do the show now, not because I didn't get the principal, but because this was all just done on a [very stressful] whim. Yeah... Also... I'm on my Easter/Spring break right now, and I'll probably be on to reply to all the posts I've neglected this week... but will also be doing lots of other stuff too... My cat has a fever. :| And one of my best friends, the exchange student - who I've mentioned some - will be leaving in approximately four or five weeks. And that just... really, really, really depresses me. ...And not only because I've pretty much fallen head over heels for him, but because he's become one of my best friends in the short time I've been able to be with him. And to know that he's going to be on the other side of the world again and so far away is becoming really hard to accept. Because I honestly have no idea when I'll see him again. ...Erm, yeah. [/whinefest] (P.S. tech week for The Boy Friend is coming up too...) |

Okay... and now... something else to throw into the mix... I cannot guarantee anything right now. At least... for this week... so on top of everything mentioned in the last post... I now have a best friend in the hospital. with two shattered heels and a fractured lumbar. and this is because last night, when we were going to see my friends in Evita (which was absolutely outstanding by the way)... we got a call during dinner... that he was in the emergency room... because they were in a parking ramp... and it was a parking ramp where there is a bridge entrance to the second level... and the second level is 30 feet off the ground... and my friend thought the bridge was attached to the parking ramp - like there was no gap between the two... and someone had his keys and his wallet or something, so thinking there was a sidewalk he jumped over the side... fell 30 feet... and landed on his feet, luckily the right way... and crushed both of his heels to the point where doctors don't know if they can fix it. at all. even through surgery. they don't even know if they're going to DO surgery at this point... and I will try to post tomorrow on my last day of break. but I cannot guarantee it because my emotions have been thrown all over this week... but I will try. ♥ |

So... first of all... I'm very sorry that I haven't been here the past week. Or probably the week before that. I've totally... forgotten how long its been. I specifically want to say sorry to Dree & Lena, because I'm posting with them and I haven't been around to reply. And I feel horrible... but this week has been just as stressful as tech week, because this was catching-up-from-all-the-sleep-you-lost-during-tech-week week. Also... the exchange student's last day is Wednesday. I am not handling this very well. Not very well at all. I... don't know when I'm going to see him again. He said he'll come back to visit... and he mentioned something about going to college in the U.S... but that's in two years. So it will be at least two years, if not longer, until I see him again. Hopefully not that long. Like said, I'm not really... dealing with this. I had a really, really good day with him on Friday, so... I'm trying to hold on to that and not the fact that he's leaving. And on top of all this... I'm on a new medication. A medication that's making me kind of sick as I first start taking it... And it's a medication you take with food. And I have to take mine with food or I get really, really ill and feel like I'm going to hurl or pass out, as I found out this morning... So I feel like with all of these people leaving and senior recitals and graduation parties (which I won't even get into how I feel about people graduating - that just opens a whole other can of worms) that my brain is in complete overdrive right now... x....X But I've been brainstorming (<--- lul. that word.) ideas for posts and have been writing down little blurbs of what I know is going to be included in them... and I've been working on artsy stuff which has been getting my creativity going again. Hopefully there will be posts tomorrow. But I also have to finish a portrait of my friend for his graduation party tomorrow... so no guarantees, :[ I love you all. okay. this is officially Liza's 'going away' thread. Just saying that tomorrow and most of Sunday I won't be here. Even though I wanted to be. :| I'm going to Minneapolis with my parents and four friends to see Phantom, and I can't take mi computadora. HOWEVER. I promise there will be replies to threads I'm in when I'm back, because weirdly, being away from home always gives me a huge burst of "oh my gosh I really want to write." So I shall come back with ideas and posts all over, :D I LOVE YOU ALL!! And again, Wubbet and I will take lots and lots and lots of pictures. And we'll add pictures to our picture thread from Chicago! But this time it'll be Minneapolis. >:D (And maybe we'll get to go stage door-ing this time gawdammat. ><) |

lawl. Liza's absence thread just keeps getting longer and longer and longer. uhm... not really a huge absence, but I'm going to be gone to All-State camp for two days (Wednesday and Thursday) and then will be home late Thursday night. I also have Marching Band Camp this week, but only until Friday... so.. yeah. its 9:00 - 4:00, so I won't be on a lot during the day. Hopefully tomorrow I will reply to the threads that I've been unable to reply to ♥ |
