First Name: Anatole Last Name: Pomeroy Gender: Male Age: Twelve (Liam Aiken)Appearance: He looks very much like his twin, obviously. Tall, with long legs and a bit of a beakish nose. He favours the colour green ~Height: 5'4" ~Build: A bit wider in the shoulder than Babette, though overall the same build in a male version. ~Skin Tone: Fair, easily flushed ~Hair Colour: Dirty brown ~Eye Colour: Green ~Accent/Phonetics: Heavy Yorkshire accent. He's not quite up to par in his French, even though his father is a native. But he can get by, though he's being tutored now to further assist. History: Basically the same as Babette's, only he was sent to Paris for public school instead of dance. He boards with an English family on Fleet Street, Mr & Mrs Devonshire, with their two children. HISTORY After Anatole's birth in Montpellier, his parents and brothers moved to York, wherein her mother started up a relatively successful dress shop. Anatole’s childhood in England was altogether unremarkable. Her mother mostly raised her, as her father was a man of the military. His twin sister Babette was his dearest companion in their early days. Holden, her senior brother, ten years older and master of the house when his father was away, got into many a fix, especially in his boarding school. Eventually he was expelled for stealing and as such disowned by her father a year later. Anatole could never quite recover from this shock; he had idolized brother, and missed him desperately. Chaos ensued shortly after this, and the dress shop went bankrupt. In an effort to console their mother, Babette and Anatole volunteered to work for the family. But soon, Babette's obsession with the ballet had begun, and she was off away to study in Paris. Anatole was inconsolable - desperately devoted to his family and most of all to his twin sister he could not bear the thought of losing yet another sibling, and so of his own volition contacted his grandmother and told her in a letter of the situation in a very straightforward way, stating simply that there was no way that his sister and he could be countries apart. Impressed by his pluck, the usually tight-stringed grandmother stated grandly that he was to school in Paris, much to the amazement of the impoverished Pomeroy parents. And so, Anatole studies in Paris, a stones throw away from his sister. He boards with an English family on Fleet Street, Mr & Mrs Devonshire, with their two children. ~Family Member(s): Rousskin Pomeroy (Father), Marta Pomeroy (Née Redfern) (Mother), Holden Pomeroy (Brother, 25), Babette Pomeroy (Twin sister, 12) Personality: One could be forgiven for supposing that Anatole is serious, and perhaps not that bright, but nothing could be further from the truth. Having worked with his parents in the shops Anatole learnt young how to look adults in the eye, speak seriously and at the same time dislodge their handkerchief, or ensure that they sidestepped into a hat display and sent it toppling over. Like his sister, and indeed, they often operate together, Anatole loves pulling pranks. For him it isn't just about the fun, but about a small feeling of control, though he doesn't know it. In his life such things have happened to make even the ability to make someone trip something to look out for. As mentioned before, Anatole is fiercely loyal to his family, and mostly to his sister. Though not always particularly demonstrative of this fact, at least in front of his twin, he would do just about anything for her, and do just about anything to someone who tried to hurt her. This doesn't stop him from teasing her rotten, in his own quiet way, and putting the word 'quagmire' into just about any sentence it could fit into. He enjoys school, for the most part, and likes the people that he lives with, for the most part. But pretty much all of the time he'd rather be running around the streets with Babette. He finds her sensitivity annoying and a little ridiculous, as he usually faces things, outwardly, at least, with a resignation unusual in one of his age. Edited by Canini, Feb 7 2009, 05:04 PM.
