Yes, rules and map will be up along signups. I don't plan for it to be derp. I'm also trying to replicate the feel of the original VN as well, even moreso than I am the earlier Wars; dunno if that decreases or increases the potential derp. I swear that no one will have so low health that he can be one-shotted before he can even act, though. Stupid War I. |

Whoever designed the war in the original VN (Zoken?) didn't do a good job balancing it. Expect Assassin to be shit. |

Fake Assassin was on par with Berserker, mind you. Also the closest thing to a designer that war had was Kirei, and even he couldn't control what spirits were summoned |

Well I was talking about the classes in general. Saber seems to be the best class (of course the most important thing is the hero that is summoned, not the class). For the class that supposed to specialize in killing Masters, Assassins never got any Master kill IIRC. <_< |

You can't really say for sure that Saber is the best class when it always summons the same person. All you can say is that Seiba is a strong Servant, so the class she's always summoned into is also consistently strong. |

Fake Assassin never got master kills for obvious reasons. He would've killed Saber anywhere except that hill, though. True Assassin never got any master kills because xfd true assassin |

Rules clarification. The stat boost from the 'Win' Command Spell can change over time; what the stat boost is (a rank or a +) is determined by your value in the stat without the CS applied. I know this is kind of silly, but I don't want people to be able to fuck around with EX stats just by swapping the order. |

Third rules change: For ongoing skills that don't have either cooldown or upkeep, you can cancel them in the Initial Phase similar to skills with upkeep. |

Also, last rules change, I hope. Combat ends on fleeing or after you kill all the people you're in combat with or if you agree to end combat with everyone. The part where 'you have to go a full turn without attacking or being attacked' doesn't apply. However, health doesn't regen unless you go a full turn without successfully attacking and without being successfully attacked. By successfully attack, I mean the attack has to hit. I think that should cover it. |

Another rules change? Regarding the searching for home base rules. When searching, you can if you like immediately move to the discovered location should you find it. Whether you find it and move, find it and not move, or not find it, your move action is still expended. Characters on a team can search independently. This should speed the process up; I felt searching and then having to wait a turn to move was too slow. |

Another rules change. Once the War starts for real (ie after the first legit update tonight), I'm going to essentially shut off any rules change that isn't absolutely necessary for sanity, though. That's a promise. After you flee combat, you cannot move until last during the next Movement Phase. |

I've had this question several times, so to clarify: A team's original location (their starting Home Base) is a separate location not listed on the map, in all cases. Apparently the rules are not quite clear on that, and some people thought the connected location was their actual one. Also, what you're searching when you perform a search action is your current location. If the rules suggested that you have to target an adjacent location or something, that's also incorrect. For convenience, if only one member of your team is able to communicate with another team (because your team members are in separate locations), you can have the other player communicate too if he wants. But this will only happen if the other player wants to join in. |
