Just killing time until the world ends.

Night 1 Artillery and Tamiko stood together outside the university, looking carefully for any sign of an attack. However, the nighttime silence remained unbroken. Suddenly, Artillery shouted. “Look, over there!” Tamiko quickly looked in the direction Artillery was pointed to, seeing a blond man in a cape for an instant before the person vanished into the darkness. “Hmph, he fled. How pathetic. Then please check out the Park for me,” Tamiko said. At these words, Artillery’s wings opened, and she flew up into the night, heading for the top of the university building. Several minutes later, Artillery swooped back down. “Someone’s at the Park, a Master and Servant. I couldn’t tell anything else,” Artillery reported. “Interesting.” Suddenly, the lights outside the university flickered and went out, plunging the area into utter darkness. “Looks like someone might be looking for a fight… Well, face me! I, Tamiko Kimura, the blessed of the Church, won’t be torn down by you heathens!” No one responded. No one moved in the night. In the end, no one took Tamiko up on her challenge. A gloomy silence prevailed over the university as the night continued unabated. |

Night 2 “So this is the local high school. I was expecting more to be happening, though,” Tamiko said, complaining to her Servant outside the high school gates. All lights around the high school were off, and no sounds at all could be heard from inside the building. The sole two people at the school sat on a bench, with one of Tamiko’s umbrellas sheltering the two from the pouring rain. “So, is anyone here?” she asked Artillery. “I don’t sense anyone at all,” she responded. The two remained there amidst the silence, until that silence was suddenly broken by a large shining gray spiral appearing without warning nearby, driving away the total darkness that had preceded it. The thing floating in empty space seemed to be pulling everything nearby towards it for a moment, and even Tamiko felt a slight tug from her position a distance away. Then the object vanished, and two people appeared in its place. One was a boy with blond hair, fairly young, with a green shirt. Walking behind him was an older man wearing a black suit, with dark-brown hair. The boy stepped forwards towards Tamiko, but Artillery jumped in front of her. Seeing the motion, he brought both of his hands up in a conciliatory fashion. “Ah, sorry. I only meant to introduce myself. I am Ichirou Fuyuhoshi. And you?” the boy said, revealing that he was the Master of the two. “Tamiko Kimura,” she declared, while her Servant remained on the defensive. “I see, I see. Well, Ms. Kimura, I wish to propose a joining of forces. What do you say…?” |

Just killing time until the world ends.

Night 6 Tamiko, standing at the city’s crowded west entrance, continued looking around the area carefully for any Masters or Servants nearby. Suddenly, she noticed Ichirou walking off in one direction, towards an elderly, grey-haired woman with a cane and a blue-haired girl, both covered in bruises from a recent battle. Realizing that this was surely a Master and Servant, she followed Ichirou. Upon arrival, she realized that Ichirou had already made an alliance with the Master, who called herself Rachel. “And are you also interested in a partnership?” the old woman asked Tamiko. Tamiko remained silent, however, considering her answer. Still thinking about her answer, she and Artillery left the entrance, heading for the abandoned factory on the edge of town. The decrepit building loomed large in the center of a similarly deserted area, a former manufacturing wing of the city that had become uninhabited as a result of outsourcing. The two entered the factory, and immediately upon looking around the building, spotted a group of Master and Servant. The Master, a young man with strange white hair, stood next to a horse pulling a carriage; both the horse and the carriage were utterly black, like spots of darkness rather than real objects. The Servant was surely inside. The man greeted them cautiously, but Tamiko again did not respond, looking at the two calculatingly. The sound of more footsteps filled the factory, causing both teams to sharply turn their heads and look quickly for their source. A light-blue, six-legged insect, about half as tall as an average human, scuttled through the factory, its eyes on stalks swiveled towards the two teams, clearly acting as an observer. |

Night 7 A grey vortex burst into existence outside the doors to the decrepit factory, releasing six people there. As Team Artillery stood atop a high protrusion, they watched the six appear, and went downstairs to watch them. As they arrived in the large factory hall, though, a battle burst out in front of them. “I expected this company. The coward who escaped our last encounter returns, bringing whatever fools she could persuade to join her. Well, this is going to become your tomb!” the man named Izanagi shouted. <Battle Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKIJRALbjuE&playnext_from=TL&videos=LjvPL6Xv-WM ( flowering night remix)> The battered girl with long blue hair charged forward, laughing as she threw a knife at the carriage, the knife appearing from thin air and shooting forward like a bullet. As it approached, shadows clustered thickly around the carriage to slow down the knife, but its speed was too great to be stopped, piercing through it to impale the Servant within. Archer seemed thrilled as her temporarily paused fight with Rider resumed. The next to strike was the man in a suit. Instead of charging, he fell to his knees, clutching his head. A large red humanoid figure appeared behind him, clutching an even larger sword. It swung the sword in a circle, slashing through the carriage with ease. However, as the sword passed, the shadows reformed to maintain the carriage’s integrity, so only Rider inside was slashed. Moments later, the figure disappeared. Finally, the grey-haired Servant in a black uniform stepped forward. He raised both hands, and suddenly, black wings sprouted from his back, before shattering into pieces. His body warped for a moment, growing in size and height. There, a beast-like man with claws stood. “SO ZETTA SLOW!” a voice said from behind the carriage. The man, appearing there in an instant, slashed through the carriage. Surely, the person inside suffered severe damage from the devastating blow. However, because the carriage surrounded her, the true damage she took would remain unknown. So the thought couldn’t help flashing through the minds of the attacking Masters, ‘Did it work? Is something going wrong?’ Their thoughts circled the problem endlessly, but there was no resolution, only darkness. |

Night 8 The group of five Masters and Servants stood off. Berserker, Caster, and Artillery stood straight, clearly in perfect condition and a devastating presence against the weakening energy exuding from the sealed-off black carriage where Rider made her home. Archer also faced the carriage, and her threatening stance and expression belied her own serious wounds. <Battle Theme: http://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch?v=idJLgN2Pu0I&feature=related > (proud-dust) Izanagi looked panicked at the eight surrounding him. “Rider, let’s get out of here now!” he yelled. A red light glimmered from his head, revealing a set of engraved lines on his forehead, his command spells. Some of the lines shimmered and vanished, as Rider became enveloped as a glow. “Not so fast. Berserker!” the young Master named Suzume yelled. Her bestial Servant vanished, appearing in between Rider and Izanagi to intercept their escape. Before Rider could even move towards her Master, Berserker slashed down, slashing through the carriage and the woman inside. Yet, once again, the carriage remained, hiding the extent of Rider’s damage. Before Berserker could strike again, the horse reared up and charged, knocking Berserker aside as if he wasn’t even there, and pulling the carriage behind it. As it reached Izanagi, a red glow enveloped the two, who disappeared. “Hah… looks like we’d better go,” Ichirou called to Suzume. “I’d like to hear what you’re doing here… but there’s something more important I have to do. See you when I get back.” He and Caster left the factory building, running quickly towards the road heading out. They were followed by Archer and Rachel, who pursued their fight with eagerness, leaving Suzume, Berserker, Tamiko, and Artillery behind. Tamiko sighed loudly. “Come on, let’s get ready, Artillery.” She and the winged girl walked towards the back of the factory, towards a set of stairs that eventually led to the roof. Suzume followed, curious, leaving Berserker to his own designs. The three reached the roof after a long climb, though Suzume was breathing sharply at the end, her young body and illness not accustomed to much physical exertion. As they reached the top, Artillery stepped forward to the edge of the roof and kneeled down. She pointed her right arm outwards, south of the factory, in the direction that Rider had fled in. The long metallic casing covering her arm began to radiate power, causing both Suzume and Tamiko to step back. “Haaah!” the girl yelled, thrusting the arm forward quickly. A stream of red-hot energy blasted forth from the device on her arm, blasting forth so powerfully that it was shot into the far distance. When the blast finally connected, it was out of the Masters’ sight, but the red glow from that direction perfectly revealed the successful impact. |

Just killing time until the world ends.

Night 11 The large group spiraled through the vortex Ichirou created, a rip in space and time that would allow instantaneous transport to the mall, where their target awaited. The vortex opened up, placing them all outside the doors to the large mall, which had already closed for the night. A blond man, guarded by the caped and fanged Servant known as Summoner, looked at them, a fearful expression in his look. “You lose,” Ichirou told him quietly. Meanwhile, the group spread out, encircling their two enemies. But, the group was somewhat less than confident as they moved to attack. The smell of decay and rot exuded from the ground around them, and a Bounded Field pulsed there. <Battle Theme: http://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch?v=Un7E3SNB7GI&fmt=18 (Nuclear Fusion Remix)> The black-haired girl was the first to strike. As she stood up straight, pointing an arm encased in some strange metal device at Summoner, two long black wings unfolded from behind her. A blast of yellowish energy and heat erupted from the girl and was launched towards Summoner, but before it could strike, a figure jumped out of the shadows and intercepted the blows. When the blast dissipated, a young, black-haired man in a blue uniform, holding his knife in a horizontal grip with a dangerous smile on his face. The girl with long blue hair attacked next, making a throwing motion with her right hand despite it being empty. As the hand opened to throw, a knife appeared and shot at the guarding familiar at amazing speeds, aiming straight towards his heart! Yet, despite the attack’s speed, the familiar dodged, and the attack only slashed him across the arm. The black-haired young man charged at the first attacker, the winged girl, his knife ready. Suddenly, he leaped into the air, jumping over the girl and slashing at her neck. The extended wings interfered with his attack, however, and one of the wings was cut instead. The man landed behind Artillery, whirling around for another attack. “Not so fast. Berserker!” yelled the young Master named Suzume. Her Servant, his form shifted to that of a large beast standing on two legs, roared something garbled out, and a thick beam of black energy lanced forward at the young man, almost hitting Artillery in the process due to their proximity. Once again, the young man dodged and evaded the majority of the blow, showing incredible evasive abilities. “Caster!” the young blond Master yelled to his Servant, who immediately fell to his knees, his hands to his head. Before their opponents could more than gape in astonishment, a red blur shot forward, slashing at Summoner’s familiar with a large sword. With this strike, the familiar stumbled back, bleeding in several places and clearly on the verge of death. A grey creature, some kind of winged snake, shot out from near Berserker, rushing at the familiar. As it approached, it spun rapidly in a circle, striking the familiar several times with numerous blows. As its spin slowed and eventually stopped, the familiar collapsed, finally taken out. “This is the end for you!” Suzume yelled to Summoner. She pointed her finger at him, and a small black ball of energy appeared there, before launching itself at Summoner like a bullet. It struck head on with astonishing impact, sending the Servant sprawling back. “Ku… Is there no escape?” Summoner’s Master muttered to himself as the four Servants and their Masters closed in. |

Night 12 <Battle Theme: http://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch?v=QN3lQ2FaU-8 >(liberated liberater) The heated battle continued outside the mall; the ground had already been scorched and blackened by Artillery’s fiery attacks, causing the battleground to look hellish in appearance. Noticing Summoner’s poor condition, Delta rose his left hand, revealing three circumscribing red triangles engraved there. The outermost one glimmered and faded away. “Summoner, I command you! Survive at all costs!” he yelled, activating a Command Spell. A red light shimmered around Summoner, an unbreakable barrier to repel any attack. Showing no hesitation despite the impressive defenses, Artillery’s wings extended once again, and she pointed the ‘Third Arm’ at Summoner. Suddenly, ten large fireballs appeared in the air above Summoner, and began circling around him wildly. Artillery dropped her arm down in a practiced motion, and the ten fireballs hurtled down, striking Summoner with certain accuracy. The power released by the bursting fireballs caused Summoner to vanish for a moment, completely obscured by a raging explosion. As the fire died down, Summoner still stood there, his mouth open and fangs glimmering. His body was horribly scorched at that point, yet he stood there with utmost confidence in his own survival. The glimmer of the command spell yet protected him. Archer stepped forward, holding a knife in one hand, with a calm expression on her face. She peacefully tossed the knife at Summoner; unlike her earlier attacks, it moved at a normal pace… ”… Wait, what?” The knife stopped in midair. Archer muttered a string of nonsense syllables, a garbled incantation. And, the knife vanished. No, it shot forward. But, to anyone watching, even those Servants whose eyes were trained for intense, high-speed combat, it seemed to disappear; this was the utter speed of that knife, to which absolutely no person could possibly react or defend. And, to Summoner, that knife was surely his doom. A large hole carved out of his chest, Summoner teetered, barely holding off collapse. < Battle Music END > “This is it for you,” Ichirou told the Master. Yet, it was the dying Servant who responded. “Ha… haha… hahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Arrogant fools! I am the TATARI, the unbreakable existence that was destined to live for a thousand years! Until the Crimson Moon arrives, I cannot be killed by such foolish means!” An incredible amount of power surrounded the one known as TATARI, or ‘curse’. And, a curse that could be removed so easily was surely no curse at all. Because it was a curse, it was immortal, even though the one executing the curse could die. As long as the bringer of the curse could be replaced… Summoner disappeared. But standing in his place was a girl in a purple uniform, with lavender-colored hair. Her expression was twisted in the same fanged smile exhibited by the now-deceased Summoner. < Battle Theme: http://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch?v=p7ByDX00sGI >(battle field) “Didn’t I tell you?!” the girl shouted. “I’ll cut you, kattokattokattokattoKATTOKATTOKATTO!” “INFINITY!” yelled the grey-haired man, starting the battle as the others remained stunned, breaking the silence. Three thick beams of black energy shot forward at the girl, striking her powerfully. Inspired by Berserker’s attack, Caster joined in, falling to his knees. His Persona, Magatsu Izanagi, appeared in front of him, its long blade slashing through the girl several times. With this blow, the girl staggered finally; once again that immortal existence was totally denied by the force arrayed against him! “I already told you, until the Crimson Moon arrives-“ < Battle Theme END > Suddenly, the young Master named Suzume cleared her throat. “I’m not sure if you’ve realized this, but you’re not who you were. You’re a Servant now, a spirit maintained by the power of the Holy Grail. So, all this nonsense about an unbreakable existence is something that applied to your former self, not the self manifested by the Grail. I wouldn’t be so confident if I were you.” Berserker’s familiar shot forward, the grey snake spinning in a blur, striking the girl numerous times. The girl, still trying to think through Suzume’s words, collapsed at the final blow, and dissolved into nothing. Delta, the now ex-Master, looking panicked at his Servant’s death, turned at this and fled. “I won’t allow you to escape,” Suzume yelled after him, pointing her hand. A black ball shot forward at his retreating back, striking him hard, but he continued to flee out of vision. The four teams watched him go, uninterested in pursuing, content with the final elimination of another Servant.. |

Night 13 The vortex spat the group out outside the factory unceremoniously. They had all been prepared for it, however, having grown accustomed to the odd mode of transport after repeated uses, and got up quickly after their fall. “Look,” the girl with long blue hair said, pointing into the sky. A line of light traced itself across the sky, soaring clearly in the direction of the location they had just left. ”What a close one.” Surely, seeing the intensity of that light, that relieved thought had passed through the minds of the eight gathered there. A rumbling noise shook the factory, and clods of dirt rose into the air for a moment. Currents of high-intensity electricity shot into the area, striking everyone there with an intense electrical shock before finally fading away. The eight, finally picking themselves up after the unexpected assault, looked at each other in momentary disarray. |
