Night -1st
Summoning of Lancer

It was a dark perfect night, not stormy or anything like one would expect to believe given the nature of the events that would transpire. In a back room in the dimly lit casino stood two men, one slightly short and rather portly to say the least, and another taller, leaner man sitting on a desk.

“You know, if any harm comes to this place, it’ll be your head I’m after and not your wallet,” said the portly man curtly, walking back and forth in front of his taller friend. His pensive look of minor concern was something he seemed to wear at all times, barely any other expression would touch his face, “just ‘cause you’re ‘James the Great’ doesn’t mean I won’t come at you with guns blazing if you blow a hole in my baby.”

James laughed gently and pushed himself off of the desk. He made his way to his friend and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Chance, my boy, I can promise with the utmost certainty that your weird love child between you and the Super Bowl will not be harmed,” James flashed a grin and a thumbs up after speaking. “Everything will be fine.”

Chance sighed lightly as he fished in his pocket. He produced a large set of keys and tossed them to James. “You’re lucky.” He turned from his friend to the power box and flipped 4 of the 5 breakers, leaving the main area lit for James. “But hurry it the hell up and go home when you’re done.”

James jumped for joy and threw the set of keys in his black jacket pocket. “Loooove you!” James bolted out of the office and into the main area, getting to work instantly. He grabbed hold of a craps table and began dragging it across the ground, pumping magic in him to help move the large wooden structure.

Chance was dumbfounded when he finally walked out of the office after him. “What the hell are you doing!? That was bolted down! How are you!? Wha-!“ Completely dumbfounded, Chance lost words and was reduced to flailing his arms about.

James stopped dragging and looked over. “I know it was. I’ve had this unbolted for a week now.” James gave another grin and started tugging again, getting it right underneath the skylight. “You going to leave yet, Chance?” He asked as he perched himself on the table’s large sides.

Chance’s arms slowly stopped, and with it decided it would be best for his heart if he left then. Without a word he spun around and headed for the exit, giving one fleeting look back. It was a mistake and left him sputtering while holding his chest.

James, while Chance was walking, had bolted off to the darkness to grab a large cart on wheels. Inside the cart was nothing but chips, and he start to take armfuls, throwing it around the room. It was at that moment Chance ran off, making his way to his car to depart home, have a glass of brandy and head to sleep to ease his mind.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The night seemed to pick up in weather as time passed on. Inside the casino, gentle light glowed and pulsed. James turned off the main light and was working by candles at this point, spreading chips every which way. He worked methodically, lighting candles, shaping chips into symbols and chanting here and there.

He took a step back from his half done circle and pondered for a moment, as if something was missing. Two and a half paces back and forth he finally realized the last ingredient and tore off to the office. He flicked one breaker on, made sure the lights were off just to keep one plug, then raced back.

With a few seconds of tampering at a large set of devices, he spun a dial and set back to work. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL6jwxw9T3c)

“Much better,” he said to no one and continued about his work. Another handful of chips rolled across the floor and halted in specific places as the song slowly played. He knew what was coming, and he was fidgeting inside from the fun he was having. He rolled up his sleeves as the song picked up and was moving at a new pace, one more musical with a tempo even. More armfuls of chips hit the floor here and there, and a few splatters of blood in other places turned from methodical rune laying to more of a piece of art to James. In some places he simply stopped working to air guitar, having a few moments of fun to himself now and then.

“What a night.” His breath crackled with electricity as he walked over to the stereo and turned it down to a barely audible whisper. He made his way back to the craps table and hopped on with no effort. On the table with him were candles, 2 skulls and a large book. He didn’t really need that book, but he wanted it to be flawless and he knew he couldn’t trust his mind to be perfect. He pulled the book open two hundred and seventy four pages and took a deep breath. Before he started, he took a look at his watch. He nodded and began.

Words ripped out of him and energy bounced throughout the room as each syllable was uttered. Each chip on the floor slowly began to light up, one after another until sparks began splashing about the surface of the plastic circles. Soon the circle was bright with a blue white energy. Each chip rumbled with power, bouncing slowly in place until each piece was in perfect unison.

The clouds above swirled over the dark casino and thundered once. It was almost done, the summoning would be complete. Already James could feel the beginnings of the magical etchings, boring into his skin just below the wrist. That too crackled and sparked with electricity in time with the circle. James spoke faster, on the last paragraph. The last sentence. The last word. As the final syllable rumbled out of him, his body let loose a white blue shockwave around the room, lighting the casino in a blaze of unnatural light. The chips below struck each other with large amounts of lightning until a web like pattern was scored into the ground. Above James the clouds thundered once more, and let loose their energy, blowing through the skylight into James’ open palm above his head. It was with this that he gathered the last bit of power. He shot the lightning he gathered straight into the circle on the ground. The glass shards falling towards James were obliterated as the circle emitted a blue white beam into the sky that even James had to shield his eyes from.

The light died down slowly, and in front of him stood a young man, roughly the same figure as James. In his hand he held a deadly lance, and it was obvious who he had summoned right from the start. He knew of this person in many studies, and he clapped his hands together.

“Welcome back to the realm of the living, Tao Ren. I’m James Winston the Second. I’m also your master. Let’s win us a war.”

Night 0
Cliffside Graveyard

Looking around the misty hill, James leads his servant forward with an unerring certainty. "Just around here, Lancer, just around here. Our moderator's a great guy, you know. Wonderful kid, really." Receiving only a scowl from his servant, James continues on as if he was in a conversation with the quiet man. "Why? Great question! You see, he has this amazing little power to make things, and he's a rather impressionable lad. I ran into him a while ago. Quiet, but I could just tell he's been taught well. So, tell me, is this familiar yet?"

"Yes, it is. Why have you brought me here?" Impatient and curt, Lancer didn't seem to pay his master any immediate respect passed the formality of their master/servant relationship. "This moderator apparently thought it was funny to put this here or something. It's meaningless to me; I was weak here, and now I am strong. So what was the point of this?"

Smiling grandly, James finally reaches the summit of the graveyard hill. Spreading his arms out widely, the cityscape unfolds behind him as a sprawling metropolis.

http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=nrpQlgY0u3w&feature=related

"I thought it was a nice view, y'know?" Turning around and placing his hands on his hips as if he surveyed some great project of his, James continues to speak. "Not that I thought I could win you over with something pretty. This graveyard is good for more than just fighting and mana. There aren't too many people out tonight, and I thiiiiiink... Yes! See? Right there, there's already someone at that Cafe. What's its name again....?"

"Seacats. Though, I'll give you this, it seems like you had a good idea. Can you always promise these results?" Looking over at his master, Lancer seemed to be ready to gauge every word he spoke.

Grinning once more, and even wider, James proudly announces his worth.

"Lancer, finding those people there involved a bit of luck, right?" A cautious nod.
"In fact, finding anyone so early would be near impossible, if they were serious." Another cautious nod.
"Then of course, being lucky is important! Lancer, luck is my biggest asset. It's gotten me incredibly far, and it's never let me down once."

"Luck can only take you so far, master. If that is all you rely on, I'm ashamed to be your servant," scowling heavily, Lancer begins to walk away.
"The Winston family, you know, was one of the original supporters to the Clocktower. In fact, I'm employed alongside a few department heads. I have free reign, and not a single magus has been able to take that from me yet."

James' usually cheerful voice took on a dark tone towards the end of his statement, as a memory of his seems to steal his vision. Knowing that tone from life experience, Lancer turned to look at his master once more.

Someone like him... can go as far as they want, can't they?

Night 1
Chime's Tavern

James wandered the edge of the cliff getting a good look at everything he could around the area. “So, people seem to be on the move. Care to get going? Care to offer a place to get going to?” He looked at his servant who sat back relaxing by a tombstone, his guardian spirit floating around him in a burning red glow.

“We’ll need information. I hear a tavern on the other end of the city will get us what we need, if anything.” Lancer replied with, Bason floating beside his head. “If we’re going there, we’ll need to get there fast.”

James nodded as he looked to the west. “Make it so.”

Lancer nodded and reached for his red glowing partner. His hand glowed bright as he pressed it to his chest. He exploded in a soft glow and picked up James. “Let’s go.”

In a flash they both took off from the area and headed to the tavern. When they arrived it already looked like a bomb when off. However that bomb nicely set up a large pink tower in the front of the tavern. Their target establishment had the front of the entire building ripped off.

Lancer quickly reached for his weapon, but James halted him in his tracks with a single no. Lancer took a breath and started to walk forward until he realized James was still on his back. “Master...”

James looked down, looked ahead, then back down again. “Fine, you win this round,” James said. He hung his head dejectedly in an attempt to make Lancer feel bad, but his servant’s steely resolve was too much to make a chink in his armor. Instead, the two headed to the busted entrance, slipping between the tower and the wall.

“The hell happened here?” James asked as he took a look around. Another team was already present, but he paid them no mind. Instead he walked to the bar, looking to wet his whistle, so to speak. “You there, whiskey. With whiskey ice cubes. And if you could, maybe one of them umbrellas… Made of whiskey.” James placed his order and took a seat at the bar beside a pink haired girl who sat spinning on the revolving stool. She had been doing that since him and Lancer had walked in. On closer inspection it looked as if she was drooling.

James finally received his drink but without the fun umbrella and ice cubes, then it was Lancer who was next to speak. “Gimmie info, I don’t care who.” James was about to speak up for a less general offer, but before he could think of something to respond with, Chime had already whispered the info into Lancer’s ear, who then whispered it to James. “So, she told me that this Avenger fellow is Enhanced through many methods, and that he is restrained well beyond his potential by a young man. Any thoughts?” Lancer asked. James shrugged and returned to his drink.
It was then that the other team finally made a move. The girl dressed in complete black with parts covered in armor walked over to him. He shook his head and took another swig before she spoke.

“Who are you and why are you here?” She asked in a slightly demanding tone. James took another drink before looking her over several times.

“Cute, but too young for me,” was his only response. He then went back to his whiskey.

The girl was shocked and stunned. She merely looked at him like she was slapped in the face, then made her way back to the stool.

Lancer turned to his master as James turned to Lancer. “”So, what are we going to do about them?”” They both asked each other in unison.

James laughed softly and took another drink. “This is going to get fun.”

Night 2
Chime's Tavern

Lancer and his master had moved away from the bar to a table in the back to discuss. Lancer, who was still fused with Bason, decided it was to not waste the energy, and as such the spirit returned to floating around in a ball of red.

“Alright, so it looks like these two mean some sort of business, despite the fact that they seem a little...” James took a look back to the two. The one he figured to be caster was arguing with the barkeep, and the other was attempting to stand on her head. “...Quirky, to say the least. Either way, I think no one will expect them to be a threat. I mean, I don’t. But once I start thinking that, that’s when I know I’ve lost. I mean she’s already created that thing.” He pointed to the tower in the entrance to the bar.

Lancer took another look to the other team present, to the damaged wall, then back to his master. “Fine, I’ll bite for this one. We’ll offer them an alliance, but I’ll keep my eye on them just in case,” Lancer replied. James grinned and stood up at this and wandered to the bar.

“Alright cute but too young lady, here’s the deal. We’ll help you if you’ll help us. Just, don’t make us look foolish.” James flashed the grin from before and his faced seemed to sparkle with the power to steal a girl’s breath.

Caster stopped arguing for two seconds to take a look back, and with that the barkeep scurried off in a flash of light. “Damn, you distracted me,” she grumbled. With the barkeep gone, she reached over the counter and grabbed a large bottle. The liquid inside was clear, and the young girl uncapped and started to bring the bottle to her lips.

James reached out quickly and stole it from her. “Not until you’re older. Or until you agree to team up.” James tipped the bottle to his lips and stole a swig before wagging it back and forth in front of the girl.

“Fine fine, whatever, just talk it over with the ‘boss’ lady or something!” She jumped from her stool to the bottle. She missed the first few times, but James finally gave in and let her have it.

(Author’s Note: I do not condone underage drinking)

James looked to the girl and back to the master, who was successfully on her head at this point. James kneeled down and extended a hand. “Hey there you, my name is James. Wanna work together?” He asked politely.

The pink haired girl giggled then gurgled. She extended a foot towards the man, and James took a step back wondering what to do. “Uhh...” He thought for a second, reached his foot up and gently placed his on hers.

“YAAY! You said the magic door!” The girl yelled as she tumbled forward onto her face. She stood up quickly and latched onto James, scrambling around to his back and staying there. “CAN WE KEEP YOU I LOVE YOU DON’T LEAVE ME! HUG!” The girl squeezed James slightly in a hug.

“Uhh.. sure.” James wasn’t sure what to say at this point and he looked to his servant for help, his eyes pleading. Lancer only grinned.

Another flash of light caught the servants attention as the bar keep came back. Lancer walked up and asked for another piece of info, and the scene seemed to repeat itself from earlier. Lancer walked over and whispered into James’ ear. “An intelligent man capable of investigating many matters with secrecy, despite being looked down on by society. This is the clue for Assassin."

James nodded and manoeuvred his way to his drink on the table, which was much more difficult with a pink haired girl on his back.

He took one sip of his whiskey before another rustle was heard at the doorway. This time two females entered the bar. “The hell happened here?” The one in a large hat asked as she hopped inside.

“Do I hear an echo?” James asked out loud. The two girls paid him no mind and walked up to the bar, clearly asking for information.

The girl on James’ back watched them carefully. “Cookies,” was all she said in a hushed but tone full of malice. James laughed a bit.

The girls walked back to James. The one with the large hat and an umbrella extended her hand. “Hello. I hope we aren’t bothering you, but I’d just like to say that we won’t again if we are for now. I realize we’re enemies, but we should all get along for now. I’m not saying to ally with us, but please don’t hit me or my lovely servant. At least for now.” She was clear with her words and rather thoughtful, and James flashed her a grin.

She wasn’t stunned into speechlessness, which slightly confused James. “I guess that should be fine. If that’s the case, steer clear of the spiky haired man in the suit.” James pointed to his servant, who was now wrestling one of two bottles from Caster. “He has a shorter temper than me.”

The girl nodded and smiled sweetly back. “Thank you very much.” She and her servant slowly went to the other side of the bar and sat down.

James was about to try and pry off the master on his back when another sound from the entrance got his attention. This time it was met with a bit more hostility. The hat wearing master pointed her umbrella at the noise, James whipped out a card from his pocket, Lancer reached for his weapon, and caster rose a bottle over her head in a threatening manner. It was then that he noticed another presence in the back of the bar holding a lance and in threatening armor. He pointed his weapon straight at the door.

The room’s focus and preparation died down as a portly man and an average individual walked in. “False alarm, everyone cool it.” James called to the room. Immediately everyone calmed and returned to their positions.

“Well ding dong. I see how it is.” The short man calmly walked up to the bar and sat down, ordering a drink.

“Master, do you think this is a time to relax? There are many teams here, I don’t like the look of it,” he said to the shorter man.

“Shut up and let me drink.”

James sighed and walked to Lancer. “Lancer, be on guard, I don’t like the look of this one bit.” Lancer nodded in response and stopped wrestling with the girl. She claimed victory and ran to the back of the room with the armor clad individual.

James had a sneaking suspicion something could happen.

Night 3

Having far from given up on the previous night's attempts at headstands, the pink haired Seira had tucked herself into a corner of the room to take a nap, but done so upside-down. Talking amongst themselves stood the girl clad in black armor, James Winston, the spikey haired suit wearing servant, and a man donning blue armor and a trident. Though the last of which refrained from participating in the conversation, and instead lurked behind his black clad master.

Across the room, Saber and her master chatted quietly between themselves, constantly looking between the other patrons, the master's hat wagging all the while. Not too far from them sat two men on stools. The portly Alex insulted his servant once more before standing up.

"Shut the hell up already, you worthless piece of crap. Just get the hell out of here!" the servant averted his eyes as his master berated him. Not sastisfied with the man's passive attitude, Alex hefted a bar stool before slamming it against the counter. Before he could utter his threat, however, a terrible scream tore through the room.

All eyes turned towards the sleeping girl. Raising herself to her feet, Seira clutches her head with both hands. Continuing her deathly scream, Seira opens her eyes and looks to her servant.

"Mrs.... Pointi.... CUDDLY! DOOR MAN! HELP THE COOKIES!" screaming louder than before, Seira collapses forward and falls silent. Caught by her black armored servant, she is gently set onto the floor. The air around the now unconcious girl begins to distort and turn very dark. Instantly, the distortion spreads throughout the room, encasing everyone present.

Throughout the black plane, various images and scenes appear. Depictions of mutilation, murder, and various snack foods shimmer in and out of existence, making whoever they appeared next to start in surprise. As an image of a small, pink haired child appears in the center of the room, a fierce pain strikes through everyone. Coughing up blood or supporting themselves in some way, no one is spared.

Sensing the imminent danger of the Reality Marble enveloping everyone, Saber looks back at her coughing master. With a look of determination, she steps towards the fallen Seira. "You have assaulted us, and now you must be JUDGED." Before Saber may advance any farther, two implike creatures appear before her in a flash of light. Standing behind the summons but infront of her master, the Black Armored servant places her hands on her hips and taunts the advancing Saber.

"You knave! Step away from milady!" shouting loudly, the blue armored man rushes forward and intercepts Saber before she may take an action. Sweeping his trident low, he strikes Saber in the leg and forces her to one knee. In a whirling dervish of lanceplay, he gouges her vulnerable arm and thrusts squarely into her chest. Able to react just in time, Saber interposes her protected arm between her and the weapon and manages to avoid most of the damage. Following their leader, the two small creatures charge at Saber and swing their tiny weapons. Dodging one easily, Saber takes the other hit alonside her wounded leg.

"Come on already, get in there you damn ding dong!" pushing his servant towards the wounded Saber, Alex sits onto the stool previously occupied by his servant. Smiling at the theft, Alex quickly scowls as he watches his servant lose his footing and crash into a table. His mode improves slightly though, as the image of a burning cage floats by his head.

"Saber, focus on who you can! That armored servant has too much protection right now," calling to Saber, Ayana rests herself against an illusioned wall, shutting her eyes tightly to avoid seeing the horrific display.

"I will obey, MASTER." Saber raises her arm and focuses for a moment. Materializing from her is a blue short sword. Turning to look at the red jacketed man with a heavy clunk, Saber charges forward in an instant. With one great arc, Saber's sword cleaves a gash in the man's chest, spraying blood along the floor and leaving glowing blue shards of light in his wound. Continuing with her momentum, Saber spins on the spot and thrusts her good leg out behind her. Catching the man heavily in the chest, Saber causes him to briefly take to the air before crashing heavily into a table.

Muttering quietly to himself, the spikey haired man steps forward. Drawing a broken bladed sword from his suit, a light envelopes the weapon at is transforms into a large polearm with a wicked blade. His weapon pulsing with energy, the man charges forward.

With incredibly speed, his weapon arcs through the air toward Saber, each strike aimed for her neck. Blocking the first with her blue sword, Saber's wounded arms give way, allowing the heavy blade to press into her shoulder, causing blood to flow down her back. Barely retracting the blade, the man twists the shaft and forces the weapon to arc to the side, cutting a deep gash along Saber's chest. As the young girl tries to counterattack, the man simply ducks the blow and strikes Saber in the side of the head with the flat of his blade. The blow send Saber sprawling to the floor.

"Sorry about this girl!" drawing a playing card from his pocket, James recites a magic word and flicks the card towards the young girl as she tries to stand up. Pulsing with energy, the card explodes within a foot of Saber's beaten body. However, the energy from the blast moves in reverse. Clutching a mass of magical energy, Saber rights herself once more. Staring flatly at the man, she simply allows the energy to disapate.

"Magic like that... I will not allow it to EXIST." Jumping forward, the black armored girl seems to challenge Saber.

"Then try this!" forcing a blast of mana into Saber's face from only a few meters away, the girls attack simply vanishes before reaching Saber.

"GO AWAY MRS MEAN AND GLOWY!" apparently conscious and screaming once more, Seira curses Saber, and as she does so, the servant falls to the ground, groaning in pain. Quickly, Ayana runs over to help her servant, hoping that the magical attacks have halted. With visions of insanity painting her vision, Saber manages to get to her feet.

"I'll try and finish what we started, Saber," noticing that Seira's servant and minions made their way to her, Ayana sets her sight on the closest enemy she can see: the red jacketed man. Standing straight, Ayana tosses her hat to the ground and lets her long blond hair fall onto her yukata. Taking a stance like she held a lance, and not an umbrella, the woman begins to focus her magical energy. Withing seconds, her umbrella is alight with swirling mana. As the magic turns even faster, creating a magical drill, a burst of mana erupts from the handle. Charging a sped otherwise impossible, Ayana rockets towards her target.

With a burning screech, her magical drill pierces through the man, removing a large portion of his side. Continuing on, Ayana's weapon lodges itself in a phantasmal wall. Alex looks over, unintersted, as his servant slumps to the floor, on the door of death. <i>You really are useless, aren't you, ya ding dong.... But you..</i> turning to look at Ayana as she attempts to pull her umbrella from the shifting wall, Alex licks his lips.

Night 5

Alex's maniacal laughing echoes through the reality marble at Beserker's raw power, it already cutting a swathe in the ranks of his enemies. "You ding dongs are gonna DIE," he calls out, grinning from ear to ear. On the other side of the bar stood Saber at point, flanked with weird short impish familiars, a lance wielding man in blue armor, Caster, Team Lancer, and a pink haired master that seemed to have a hard time coping with everything.

"We haven't been DEFEATED," Saber says, rallying the team, "you will die here and NOW." Saber then quickly reached into a pocket and retrieved a sort of amulet. She holds it up in her golden clad fist, causing a blue wall to form around Berserker. Trapped, Beserker starts to push back against his prison.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXll_wtEoQg&feature=related

KA-CHUNK

Saber let loose a loud mechanized sound before rushing to her opponent and sending a powerful left hook into the prison. The orb shattered, cutting into Berserker in some places, the shockwave alone making him stumble back.

Quickly and skillfully, Saber rushed back to her post as point and raised her hands. "Come on, he cannot be in good SHAPE. Believe in me and we shall CONQUER." Saber punched the air above her, the golden arm glimmering as the pinnacle of team work. Those behind her felt a surge of influence and all punched the air, humans and familiars alike. With a new found bravery, the enemy was sure to fall.

Caster could tell Saber was struggling after the punishment she was put through and offered up the only spell she could muster. Light circled the blue clad girl, closed in and revitalized her. "Thank you, ally." Was all she said. Caster nodded in response.

The pleasentries were certainly not felt by Berserker, his roar shook everyone to the core. "Try all you want, you cannot win!" Alex was almost bouncing with joy. He pointed at Saber and his servant took off in a blur.

Saber stood her ground and prepared herself, summoning the courage within ready to deal the final blow to her attacker. "Die the DEATH." Berserker appeared before her and reached out, but grabbed a goblin that jumped in the way in the last second. Berserker threw it to the ground and it let out a ferocious crack.

"Sentence the DEATH." His monsterous hands reached again and this time grabbed the other Goblin. Seeming to be fed up with the summons, he spun it around quicker than most eyes could see and caught the man in the blue armor square in the side of the head. Both of them made loud, disgusting noises and crumpled in a heap.

"Great Equalizer is the DEA-" Before she could finish, Berserker flashed before her eyes and appeared behind her, his hand taking her entire torso in his palm. A devilish tut was heard from him as he squeezed with all his might.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wN2z4fdBmVM&feature=related

Stunned and appalled, morale dropped greatly within a few short seconds as Saber fell to the ground completely lifeless. It took seconds before anyone acted, even the crazed Beserker. It was Caster that broke the silence and tension by launching a volley of flames at the giant form.

"Oh no you don't, ya ding dong," called Alex, making a less than stellar shield for his giant servant. On fire and taking heavy damage, Alex rolled on the ground cursing the good lord above and everything created.

"This isn't working, we can't wi-" James started, his defeated tone droned out by the screams of a pink haired girl. A tether made completely of void and emptiness wrapped around Beserker's throat that connected straight into the young master's hand.

"TOAST FOR YOUR SINS!"

Seira pulled on the tether and pulled herself into a running start, straight towards Beserker's face. She sky rocketed through the air in a stellar jump and skull bashed Beserker square in the face, then tumbled to the ground and rolled back to her servant. Beserker only grinned as a bit of the mask covering one side of his face cracked ever so slightly.

"Well... that was effective." Alex said, the flames doused and a stupid grin back on his face. He hovered over Saber for a moment before realizing there was a breath of life still escaping her lips. "This one is damn persistant." The breathing was snuffed out by the rise and hard fall of Alex's right foot. With it, crushed underneath, was everything Team Saber had left.

Dlanor A. Knox had reached her final rest.

"We will miss you," James said quietly.

Night 4

Slumped against the wall, blood pours profusely from Alex’s wounded servant. Surrounded by their three adversaries, Alex’s chances look grim, and they look even worse as Alex feels his connection to his servant fade away. The loss of blood was too much for the smaller man to take, causing him to reach his untimely end.
“Well goddamn, what a useless servant! How was I supposed to win with someone as useless as you?” Alex screams at his fallen partner. “So worthless…”
“Perhaps it’s about time you give up, it seems Lady Luck just wasn’t with you tonight,” comments James from the side with an uninterested look.
That look quickly changes from disinterest to concern as a faint black glow begins to radiate from the fallen corpse. The glow quickly becomes brighter and brighter, and worry begins to grip the hearts of those present. With an incredible, nearly blinding flash, the corpse has disappeared, replaced by a massive man adorned in a large red coat and wearing a white mask. The being before them emanates a feeling of strength and power. It’s a truly frightening sight to behold, one that would chill the hearts of those weak of will.

There was no doubt about it. This was the true Beserker.

“Well ding dong! This is a lot better! I can feel how strong he is! Look’s like things just got real!” Alex exclaims. “Oh and you just wait pretty lady, once I’m done clearing the trash were gonna have a lot of fun!”
“As if you’ll have the chance,” Ayana says while gesturing for Saber to mover forward. Raising her hand, Alex watches as one of Ayana’s three command seals fades. “Your beast will NEVER get through me and my Saber!” turning to face her servant, Ayana speaks privately to her.

"Dlanor... Thank you for everything. If it wasn't for you, I don't think I would be alive today. Just being able to live like this is more than I could ever ask for." Sensing her master's intent, Saber tries to stop her but is cut off. "No.. you have to win this. Right now, I can't help you do that." Pulling the young girl into a tight hug, Ayana begins to cry. With a red flash, one more command spell burns away as their contract severs.I won't let you die... not ever. Pulling away from the embrace, Ayana takes Saber's hand and rushes over to Seira.
"I sense a goodness inside you, and hopefully Saber will be able to help you find it. I know I'm making the right choice."
Seira looks up at the blonde lady, and in her normally crazed eyes, is a rare look of understanding. Slowly nodding her head yes, Seira reaches her hand out and takes Sabers hand, their spirits connecting, with Seira taking Ayana's place as master of servant Saber.
"Alright Ms. MeanandGlowy, lets go."
Saber turns, sword drawn and stares at the towering Berserker, prepared for battle. Lancer and his master also prepare themselves for battle while from behind them, Caster casts a spell on herself. Finally, Ayana puts her umbrella in front of her and pouring magical energy into it, strengthens it's durability.
"Ha, how touching. Too bad you ding dongs are all going to die!" Alex exclaims as he extends his hand. On his middle finger is a silver ring with a large ruby. Muttering a short incantation, a large beam of energy fires from the ring, hitting Ayana in the chest. "Hmm... I feel luckier already. Now deal with the trash Beserker, starting with Captain Crunch there."
With a loud bellow, Beserker charges towards Saber, but just as Saber raises her sword to block whatever devestating attack Beserker has in store for her, Ayana moves herself between the two, raising her umbrella, only for it to be shattered by the fist of Beserker. The monsterous being then reaches down and lifts Ayana by the throat high into the air.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08RYp-uDpPo

Ayana looks down and locks eyes with her former servant whose normally cold eyes are filled with sadness as they both accept what's next. Beserker then slams his arm into the ground, violently ending Ayana's life. Saber kneels by her former master's body as Ayana weakly reaches out her hand and places it on Sabers.
"I only w-wanted to be h-happy and f-free," Ayana says, her voice only a whisper. "And n-now I c-can be, thanks to y-you. I only w-wish that that you can become as h-happy as I am now."
"If that is my masters wish then I will OBEY," Saber says, matching her former masters tone. "Fear not, I'll get much happiness from avenging your DEATH."
"Good, then go and sh-show him what you're m-made of," Ayana says as her head slumps back and her eyes go blank. Saber gives her masters fallen body one last warm look before returning to her feet and staring at Beserker with her usual cold determination.
"Come at me beast, it's time for me to avenge my MASTER. It's time for me to avenge my FRIEND."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXeclBNp0Q8

With Sabers challenge, Beserker raises another fist and swings at Saber twice. She manages to block both hits with her blue blade, but she's still clearly rattled. From behind Beserker comes Caster's blue armoured familiar who hits the colossal being with his lance, but the attack doesn't even phase the raging monster. This small distraaction is just enough however, as Saber's blue short sword fades away, and in its place appears a long red blade, glowing with energy.
"Prepare yourself Monster, for your end has COME. Prepare to feel the power of absolute TRUTH. This is my greatest WEAPON. My Red Key of JUDGEMENT."
Raising the blade high above her head, Saber slices downwards, and from the tip of her blade comes a brilliant red beam of energy that tears through the body of Beserker, causing the towering man-beast to fall to its knees. Saber breathes heavy as those in the battle pause, stunned at the damage caused by Sabers most powerful attack. Alex is paticular is shocked by the pain dealt to his servant.
"Damnit Beserker! get up! They're still not dead yet!"
Heeding his masters order. Beserker again rises to his feet, only to be met by a blast of fire from Caster, who giggles as Beserker again falls to his knees. It seems like the battle may be nearing its end as Beserker struggles to rise to his feet. Caster, looking to finally end the battle fires another blast of fire at her enemy, but instead of falling, the monster lets out a deafening roar and rise to its feet again.
"Ha, and you all thought he was finished! No way! Theres no way a servant summoned by me would die that easily! You ding dongs are all gonna die for trying to kill me! You watch!" Alex exclaims, ecstatic at the endurance shown by his servant.
"Hmm... our efforts aren't quite finished yet, American scum," Alex's focus shifts to James, who over the course of the battle had snuck over to Ayana's corpse and was now climbing to his feet, a forth command spell having appeared on his hand, obviously taken from his fallen ally. Stepping from James' side is Lancer who fires a bolt of lightning at Beserker, followed by James charging a card full of energy and tossing it at the beast. Beserker roars menacingly at his oppenents as they all stare at each other, ready for another round of battle.

Night 6

The giant Berserker stares through his white mask at the servant before him. Stepping forward to finally take advantage of the now vulnerable Caster. Bracing herself for the oncoming onslaught, Caster throws her arms infront of her face.

After waiting idly for a few very tense moments, Caster feels a tug at her collar. "Crankypants go fwoosh," quietly speaking and taking refuge behind her servant, Seira gestures to the man in question.

As if frozen in time, Berserker stands terribly still as a green energy swirls around his body. Increasing in speed, the energy grows larger and eventually consumes Berserker's entire form. After a few more fantastic revolutions, the energy disapates, leaving the average looking man in the red jacket standing in the giant's place, causing Seira to shout in response, "Tableface! Tableface is back! Mrs Pointicuddly, let's go NOW!"

As the girl screamed, a command spell disapates from her hand in her desire to ignore the rules of her servant's abilities. As Caster takes hold of her master's arm, the black and purple world around them disapears, revealing Chime's Tavern, complete with Teams Brawler and Lancer, as well as Assassin's master. Without even looking at those around her, Caster disappears in a flash of golden light with her master.

Appearing with a fabulous gait, Assassin steps into everyone's field of view. Raising an arm into the air, the air condenses slightly and becomes incredibly cold at Assassin's command, causing a thin layer of ice to form over everyone present. After falling prey to the ambush, Lancer immediately takes action. With the aid of his spirit, he creates a large, bladed, shield-like sword on his arm. Taking Brawler in his sights, he charges forward and gouges him heavily across the arm with a large sweep.

Grasping the wound, Brawler grits his teeth and follows some silent command. Charging towards Berserker, the sudden movement jostles his wound and causes him to fall to the ground in a growl of pain. Looking down at his wounded servant, Yuhito closes his eyes and begins to chant. As he does so, a sniper rifle appears in his hands. Glancing distastefully at the weak looking Berserker, he raises his rifle and fires a magically charged bullet at Lancer, grazing his shoulder but causing him pain none the less.

Looking at the violence before him, Greger's face darkens. Taking one steady step forward, then another, followed by many more, Greger sprints the distance between himself and Berserker. Giving a great cry of fury, Greger forces Berserker to face his way, and as he does so, the priest's massive fist collides heavily with Berserker's nose, causing it to break and blood to spurt all over him.

"Well screw this then. Get the hell up, ya ding dong, we're getting the hell out of here," pushing his servant towards the nearest alleyway, Alex runs off as fast as he can, which is still surprisingly quick for a burnt, fatting, middle-aged man. Scrambling to catch up with him, Berserker leaves the area.

Looking around, Greger surveys who is left. The wounded Brawler, silent Yuhito, and swauve Assassin all look back at him. "Where did the Lancer go?"

"He took off a little while ago actually. Right before Captain Ding Dong did," looking cross, Greger spits off to the side.

Reien

"Bason, forget the Oversoul for now, I'd like to conserve mana," addressing his guardian spirit, Lancer removes the familiar red orb from his weapon. Free from its confines, the orb explodes into the fade image of a large Chinese soldier.

"Lancer, I don't like it, but there's a student out of bed, and I think they're on their way here. If.. you could distract them and get them to go somewhere else, I would love that. But otherwise... it's best you try and heal yourself a bit...," looking away distastefully and almost.. hurt, James gives the order to his servant. Sensing a pulse of energy, his attention is pulled to the south, as Team Brawler enters the area.

Seemingly not caring that James is there, Team Brawler sits against a far wall. Apparently doing magic, Yuhito touches his eyes, and begins to stare absently. By the time the young man snaps from his silent state, Lancer has returned from his dark task. After a few moments of tense silence, from a nearby bush....

"Come on you ding dong, get out there!" kicking his servant in the rear, Alex sends the man sprawling to the ground. Looking up from his prone position, Berserker catches the eyes of Brawler and Lancer, both of which look bored and uninterested.

Panicking at the sight of Team Berserker, Yuhito raises his hands as if he was holding a weapon of some kind and yells. Pointing to the man's empty hands, Alex laughs. "The hell are you doing? You thought you could shoot us with... nothing? Hahahahahahaha what a tool!"

Yuhito looks down in shame as the older man laughs. Seeming to make a mental note, the young man walks away sulk in the distance, his servant shaking his head derisively. "Man.. what an idiot." As he speaks, his long black hair turns a bright yellow and shrinks back into his head. The air around the man seems to feel a lot lighter.

"Well hello again. I'd like to say thank you for being so understanding before, back at the tavern," putting out his hand, James addresses Alex and smiles broadly. Giving the man a funny look, Alex extends his own hand for a quick shake.

"At least you weren't a ding dong and didn't attack us. I guess that's pretty chill," looking away awkwardly, Alex scoffs at his servant's attempts at being intimidating from a distance. Resting against a nearby fountain, Alex seems to drift into thought.

Reien/Devil may cry

"Heh... you punks are dead!" his voice crackling with a lust for battle, Brawler sets himself into a stance and begins to focus intently. The air shimmers and cracks around him as he emanates an aura of power, his pointy blond hair is struck black and begins to flow down, reaching his legs.

"Here we go... Trace...on.." placing his palms at his servant's back, Shirou... I mean, Yuhito, closes his eyes and begins to focus. After a moment doing so, he backs away. Feeling the change, Brawler sets himself in a deep stance. The ground around him begins to shift as he draws on it's power. With a pulsing sound, electricity burts from the ground at his feet and snakes its way up his legs and into his arms.

Kicking off, Brawler causes himself to fly at the paultry Berserker, dragging one foot along the ground. Arriving at his target with great speed, Brawler throws a punch charged with electrical current. Tearing through the man with an electric crackle, Brawer's attack kills Berserker instantly, far exceeding what the man could handle.

"Hahahhahahahah You're really stupid you know that? None of you can kill mah Bah-ser-kaaaah!" cackling with insanity and a lust for carnage, Alex taunts his attackers as Berserker's corpse once again emits a terrible black light and morphs itself into a veritable giant wearing a white mask. "But I'll be nice," looking at Yuhito, Alex sneers with the utmost contempt, "I'll let you ding dongs live for now." As he says so, Berserker turns and grabs Alex before bounding from the area with animalistic speed.

Catching eye contact with Brawler, Yuhito turns and runs from the area. A few tense minutes pass as Brawler and Lancer watch eachother, careful of the other's movements.
"Lancer.. prepare yourself," At the instruction from his master, Lancer reaches into the air and grabs an instantly formed red orb. Calling a name of some kind, he places the orb into his broken sword, which transforms itself into a mighty halberd, and a chunk of armor running up Lancer's wielding arm.

Sensing danger, Lancer raises his arm and covers his face. From the far distance, a gunshot rings out, and with it comes a bullet which imbeds itself heavily into Lancer's arm, taking away a piece of his armor.

"So.. you like to play with lightning, do you?" Lancer speaks calmly, but to everyone present, his rage is very clear. The suited Lancer walks forward and as he does, a large image appears behind him. From it, an electrical bolt larger than what Brawler had wielding earlier shoots out and engulfs Lancer. Stabbing with his weapon towards Brawler, the electrical bolt courses through his body and launches itself from the end of his weapon before striking Brawler squarely in the chest. Blown back a few yards from the blow, Brawler tries to stand, but his legs twitch with inaction.

"We're going to take our leave, you know, while you're having some trouble moving," looking down at the angry Brawler, James smiles and gives a way. "But before we go, you can have this," drawing a card from his jacket, James throws it with unerring accuracy at the fallen servant. With a magical exlposion, the card erupts and engulfs Brawler's face.

Waving away the dust, Brawler forces himself to his feet, but see's no one. Turning to find somewhere to sit and bandage his wounds, he spots a strange creature. Standing only to his knee, possibly hip, is a green skinned... thing, wearing a brown robe. In one hand, it carries a knife, in the other, a small lantern. Looking squarely at Brawler with empty eyes, the creature turns and leaves the area.

"The **** is going on around here..."

After passing by Yuhito at a restaurant of some kind, James and Lancer step into the office of Devil May Cry. Immediately as they enter are two young girl, nearly identical in appearance. Their pink hair is rather vibrant in the dreary office.

"Hello," the first girl speaks up, "We were hoping you would work with us. I know we're enemies right now.. in a way, but there are definitely large threats out there."

Smiling, James steps forward and pats the girls on their heads. "Well aren't you two cute. I'll definitely have to think about it."

Night 9
Devil May Cry

Patting the twin girl's on the head, James places a business card in the hands of the quiet one. "Okay Lancer, go do what you need to." Nodding with a somber attitude, Lancer trudges off to the local bus station in search of people.

"Excuse me.. What are all of you doing here?" with apprehension, Yuhito approaches the Twin girls and James. Recognizing the man, James steps forward.

"Ahh, you're that young lad from last night aren't you? Say, what were you doing by that restaurant at night?" his question, as intended, garners a reaction from the two girls.

"Stay away from my sister and I... we don't like perverts like you.." placing an arm in front of her giggling sister, Mizuki bars the path between her and Yuhito. Sighing and placing his face in his palm, Yuhito slumps into a chair.

"Why do these things always happen."

Laughing, James pats the man on the back, "Don't worry about it. Those two are rather interesting."

Devil May Cry (Grand Roulette)

Yuhito stared to the members around him inside Devil May Cry, each one's eyes seemed to burn into him and for some reason more so from the youngest two. "Uh.. Hey.. Hey guys.. We're all friends here righ-" Yuhito started, but was interrupted.

"LANCER WIPE THIS WIMP OFF THE MAP!" James shouted, his hand glowing with a bright light. Lancer seemed to explode with energy and he raised his weapon in response.

"......****...." Yuhito said softly and raised his hand. "Brawler! Get over here!" Tether's of light crawled out from Yuhito's hand and spread into the air in front of him, wrapping around mid air. The tendrils wrapped quicker and quicker until a shape was formed in a sort of humanoid shape.

"Let's do this," said the tendrils. They rippled and exploded off in a flash of blue light. As the glow receded, Brawler stood in front of his master. "I got these punks. I mean look, that girl is completely-"

"RIDER COME HERE NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW~!!" The twins screeched and both erupted into a ball of light. As quick as it appeared, it left, and behind them stood a man in hi-tech battle armor.

"Yo."

""...****..."" Team Brawler said at the same time.

James reached into his coat and pulled a small marble from his pocket. Incantations poured from his mouth and circled the marble. James tossed it into the air and continued chanting causing the marble to grow in size.

"This oughta be fun." A voice called out from the doors. All eyes spun to see Dante standing there, suitcase in one hand, his jacket in the other.

"Stay out of thi-" Brawler began.

"You are in no place to tell me what to do," Dante fired back. He quickly sauntered over, grabbed the team and tossed them quickly out the door. "Now if you all know what's best for you, you'd get out. Just.. out. Outside is fine, just not in here. You'll break something, and I'll break you."

Rider nodded, grabbed the twins and left in a gust of air. Lancer and James nodded in response and walked outside slowly. "I'm sorry?" James said curtly as he crossed the doorway.

"It's alright. Just take it outside."

James quickly skirted off the steps and into the playing field, the marble hovering overhead. "Anyway.. umm.. Where was I?" James thought for a moment out loud.

Brawler picked his master up off the ground and dusted him off. Yuhito looked up to Brawler, who nodded in response. Without a word, Yuhito jumped on the back of his servant. His legs coiled and they rocketted through the air.

Shir-Yuhito was proud of his success in fleeing, and he took a fleeting glance back at the occupants of the area. "So long!" He yelled back- only to stop in mid air with a large, loud crash. Both Brawler and master had their mid air flee stopped by what looked to be a roulette wheel. They peeled off the edge of what could only be a reality marble and fell to the ground. Again Brawler picked up his master and dusted him off. They looked to each other, nodded in response and both uttered the same word: "****."

Looking at the opponents before him, Brawler cracked his neck one way then the other. "Looks like we'll have to fight."

A spiral of rainbow appearing from the ground around Lancer reached up to form a drill. The point reached just abot Lancer's last spike of hair, then shot into the sky in a horizontally spinwards fashion. The light didn't fade, and instead shot down in a bolt of lightning, envoloping Lancer in a shimmering light. As fast as lightning, Lancer covered the distance between the two and dug his shoulder into Brawler and electrocuted him fiercly. He brought the lance that trailed behind him in an upwards slash, following through with another downward slash, gouging two large chasms of blood in an X across his body. Brawler's eyes rolled back and he toppled backwards, leaving Yuhito completely open for an attack. A lightning fast jab later and Yuhito found himself lacking a left arm.

Yuhito screamed loudly and pressed his back to the marble. He was clearly cornered and doomed for death as Lancer closed the gap between the two. His only hope was-

"SHOCKING BURST BULLLEEEETTT!" Rider called out. His feet were ablaze and he flew quickly at Lancer's back. They both ricocheted off the reality marble and toppled away from the bleeding Yuhito. The green coated young man slid down the wall and sat on the ground. A fizzling sound beside his right ear made him sigh gently to himself. He looked to his right to see a single spade dead center of a white rectangle crackling with a purple charge. "****."

James let a playful grin ooze from the sides of his mouth as he raised his hand, snapping his finger once, laughing at the sound of an explosion echo around the area.

Night 11
Devil May Cry (Grand Roulette)

Reality inside Marble Meanwhile, the

Lancer scrambled out from underneath Rider and pulled the Lance in front of him. Yuhito focused on his clothing and poured as much mana as he could withstand into it. The body of the jacket went ridged, as well as the wraps around him into a type of armor.

Lancer jumped just above Shirou and took repeated jabs at him with the lance. Each strike cut a new wound into the green coated young man until he was pouring blood from almost all orifices. Lancer touched the ground and took a better stance, getting another clean slice through Yuhito's right arm. The ex master knew he was done for and said his final prayers as the lance sliced cleanly through the soft neck tissue.

James walked over and picked up the lifeless head. "Alas, poor Master. I.. actually didn't really know anything about you," James looked down at the body, "however I do know you posess what I want."

James reached down to the semi glowing severed arm and sapped half of its power away. His own hand shone for a moment and he patted Lancer on the back. "Never gamble against the House kid. In the end, I'll always win."

The spinning wheels and glowy lights shattered from this reality and once again they found themselves in the courtyard for Devil May Cry. "Shall I dispose of the body?" Lancer asked, looking at the dismembered corpse.

James shrugged and began walking back to the doors of Devil May Cry. "Do what you want, I won't mind."

Rider gave a look to the two and nodded. He spun around and bent to one knee. "Alright, now that those two are dealt with, I'm off again. You two behave now~" Rider said, smirking under his helmet. He stood up straight and was about to take off when the sound of an explosion echoed through the area.

What looked like hyper fast hail was instead bullets. Bullets everywhere rained down from the sky, all with near pinpoint accuracy. It was like a concentrated rain cloud formed over Lancer and rained death. Bullets ripped through his body, only a few missing him entirely. Some grazed gently, others damaged muscle and organs. The bullets felt as if they were pure, and Lancer's body felt cold yet calm, as if it was a mercy killing they attempted to deliver.

Lancer fell to his knees, supported by his lance. "Where did that come from!?" He yelled into the night, searching the horizon for any glint or glimmer. There was nothing, and Lancer cursed to himself as he pushed back onto his feet.

Rider was already long gone before the rain had stopped.

James helped his servant to the steps of the facility and looked him over. "Well.. it's not too bad."

Lancer looked coldly at his master. "Are you familiar with swiss cheese?"

Night 12
Devil May Cry/Wonderchef Cafe

"Lancer, are you okay?" looking at his wounded servant, James takes stock of the situation. Glancing around nervously, the man appears to continually scan the sky, hoping his natural luck would pay off.

"I'm fine.. really. I've gone through a lot worse than this," Bracing himself on his spear, Lancer seems to focus on something, staring into the distance. After a very brief moment, a terrible grinding sound alerts everyone present, Team Lancer, the twin girls, and Ayana, to the arrival of Rider. Looking up at the waving man, everyone's attention gets drawn towards his vehicle. A futuristic train, vaugely reminiscent of a mechanical snake.

"Yoooo what's goin on over here?" cheerily, Rider greets everyone and gives a thumbs up to his two masters. Shaking his head at the servant's gaudy contraption, Lancer once more creates the strange bladed shield on his arm. Inspecting it closely, he exchanges a few quiet words with his master.

All heads turn as a great number of cracking sounds split across the quiet city. Looking into the night sky, all present watch a great number of familiar golden sparkles soar towards them. Taking cover behind Rider, Ayana and the Twins quickly hide. Despite his now somewhat heavy bleeding, Lancer steps forward and raises the strange shield before him as he delivers a quick kick to his master, sending him far from harms reach.

With mixed clattering, thumping, squishing, and ringing sounds, the hail of bullets collide with Lancer and his immediate surroundings. Some imbedded themselves into the ground around him, but many also struck Lancer himself, burrowing into his flesh and shield.

Battered and bloody, Lancer spits a globbule of blood to the side and looks to his master. The suited men exchange a knowing smile and run down the street attempting to reach some agreed upon destination.
_________

Alex looks up as James and Lancer enter the area. Watching intently, Alex smiles as Lancer walks up to the resident Wonderchef and hands him a coupon before sitting down. Within minutes, a full course meal is set before the man. Resigning himself to the massive meal, Lancer indulges.

Walking over to James, Alex lays a hand on the man's shoulder. "Hey there broski... I'm thinking we should work together a little bit, you and I. It made me real happy like when you didn't decide to be a ding dong and attack us back in the bar, a week ago."

Hiding his contempt for the man, James stands to face him. "I'll certainly have to think about that... broski. But I need to take up something like that with my partner first, or it's just not fair. As you can see, he's a little busy right now." Gesturing to his Lancer, Alex watches as the servant finishes the first course of the meal, and leaving the rest for later, dissipates into the air.

"I'll let you know tomorrow though," walking away to rest on a bench, James breaks off the conversation.

Night 13
Wonderchef/Chime's Tavern

Watching Lancer appear out of thin air and finish his meal from the other night, Alex makes his way over to James. Looking at the man expectantly, Alex waits peacefully for several minutes. Eventually, James rises to his own feet and addresses Alex's concerns.

"Yes, we will cooperate with you, Alex. My number is here if you need us," handing Alex a business card, James turns and walks over to Lancer. Raising his hand, he seems to cast some kind of spell on the servant.

The four men all leave at the same time without exchanging words.

_____

Arriving at the tavern, which has now been fixed up quite nicely, James adopts his usually cheery attitude. Walking inside, he sits himself at the bar and makes his former request for whiskey, with ice cubes made of whiskey, and an umbrella also made of whiskey. This time however, James adds, "Oh, and I'd like the glass to also be made of whiskey. But put it in another glass so that It doesn't melt on me, okay doll?"

Looking at the man's wide smile, Chime sighs inwardly before moving into the back room and simply getting a normal glass full of whiskey and handing it to the man.

"Why thank you," still pleased with his drink, James takes a long sip before addressing Chime once more. "So.. what can you tell me about Avenger?"
