Wasn't I just here telling you about a Patch Pack a couple days ago? B-) Forum Maintenance Mostly behind-the-scenes stuff, but I wanted to make sure I noted that I (again) had to reset the "Record Users Online (at once)" counter as it (again) glitched! Forum Restructure Okay, hopefully it wasn't too hard to find this thread - and if it was, you likely figured this all out already! :P Here's what we're looking at. Firstly, I've reintroduced the organizational system used in the old OMEC'RS forum section. The forums have now been organized by Top-Level Theme, then again by a more specific, Mid-Level Theme. Inside the Mid-Level Theme, you'll find the currently available forums. To give you the best idea of what I mean, here's the current flowchart:
As you can see from this flowchart, we have the same forums we had before right now - they're just organized a little differently which will hopefully prove to be easier on the eyes and minds of newcomers. If you have any questions, feedback, ideas, or thoughts - please don't hesitate to post them! :D |

Agreed! Personally, I like this - but then again, I wouldn't release an update I didn't like... that would be odd - and yet again, I am odd - but furthermore, I'm not that odd!! -_- Seriously though, there's a fresh feel about the forums again and it feels fantastic to me. After a little use with the forums organized like this, don't forget to come back and let me know how it seems to be working. I'm aiming to get things adjusted and tweaked just right before I start a recruitment initiative. :) |

After taking a closer look, the ZetaBoards default emoticons are colored to each edge while the ones you created contain a small amount of white space between the edge of the smiley and the edge of the 20x20 pixel box. Additionally, it appears that you didn't use a transparent background on the Angel smiley. While this isn't a big deal, it'll look funny if I ever change the forum color scheme. ;) |

if i color it to each edge it comes out stop-sign shaped, as seen with the angry one :( also... the angel one was an accident... i had a pure white layer underneath each of the last 4 to see what they would end up looking like... but i forgot to hide the white layer on the angel before i saved it... i might have to redraw it... cuz it looks funny over there with its white square ... which is completely visible... i cant wait til i can take that photoshop class at MCC... i think i need it lol additionally, when i opened up one of the default 20x20 smileys on my computer, the photoshop canvas came out as a rectangle, long on the top and bottom and short on the sides... but when i made my own 20x20 it looked like a square... thats just strange |

It's really not a big deal and I'm not criticising, just answering your question. ;) Anyways, drawing a 20x20 px sphere to each edge without the "stop sign" effect, you'd need to use a tool (a custom brush) or iso-pixel the image in a way where each outer pixel (at any point around the outside edge) is 10 pixels from the center - or a 10 pixel radius. Ultimately, you'll result in a 20x20 sphere which will only touch the edge of the 20x20 sqare in 4 points at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. B-) </mathlesson> Don't worry - It's not going to hurt me to take a few web design classes, either! :P |
