Wow, that's awesome! Last night, after finishing stardust, I popped in The Princess Bride, and as I was sitting there watching it, it dawned on me that how I picture Rey dressed is very Dread Pirate Roberts. I was kicking myself for not mentioning that when you asked, and now, after seeing this my reaction was, "That's it, exactly!" Very nice work. |

I mentioned it the other night in guild chat but I'll say it here since I popped back in to look at your colored pencil work; you do really great work! Do you like working with colored pencil? Although I'm not gifted with the ability to draw well at ALL I do employ colored pencils quite often in some of my creations. I've worked with them for 10 years and although I've never taken a formal class I've learned a lot in that time. Trial and error mainly but also via some gifted artists who have graciously published, online and in print, their hints, tips, etc. Today I was working away at something with color pencil and feeling frustrated with my results. So tonight I remembered that one of your sketches here was done in that medium so I had to look at it again. Hair is a real pain in the butt to do sometimes, especially for me and especially on parchment, but you've done an amazing job! I tend to avoid any detailed work of faces for many reasons, in any medium, and one of those reasons is hair! ![]() Please, share more! |

Colored Pencils is one of my loves, along with painting but I have very few examples of painting as they tend to be huge. The face anatomy is off on this one (I was a freshman at the time) But it was scanned with a much better scanner than the Koge one so this is a good example of what my colored pencil stuff looks like in person-![]() Another media I like that appeals to my OCD nature is pen and ink- ![]()
