I have a question, seeing as pretty much all your fluff(on the first page atleast) is from Wikipedia and LEXICANUM, wouldn't it be easier and save space just to link those articles, instead of just copypasting the entire sections from those sites? Or are you trying to make it look like you've written all that fluff?;) I mean afterall, you do call it YOUR fluff, and you do not mention the fact that it's copied from wikipedia and other places.;) Edited by Uot, Jun 10 2008, 04:37 AM.

hey guys the fluff mans back lol right here sum info i picked up bout the farsight enclave (newist relese by xkiller wicked!!) Commander Farsight is a Tau character from the fictional Warhammer 40,000 universe. Farsight, also known as Shas'O Vior'la Shovah Kais Mont'yr or O'Shovah, is a Tau Fire Caste commander from the Vior'la sept. He was a highly respected Commander during the aftermath of the Damocles Crusade led by the Imperium of Man, where he won fame fighting the Orks. Unlike most other Tau, Farsight believes that close combat is a vital part of warfare. After Farsight's Ethereal was killed reclaiming lost Tau planets, Farsight chanced upon the Dawn Blade, a large artifact sword found on the dead world of Arthas-Moloch. Farsight is said to still lead the Farsight enclave, making him more than 300 years old - an age far beyond the average 40-50 year life expectancy of a Tau. It has been speculated that the Dawn Blade is of daemonic origin, while others believe that it is a C'tan artifact, or even Anaris- the powerful blade created by the Eldar smith god Vaul. Name Farsight's name in the Tau language is broken down thusly: * Shas (member of the Fire caste) * 'O (Commander, highest rank attainable) * Vior'la (the sept, or world, where Farsight was born) * Shovah (Farsighted, the core of his name) * Kais (Skillful) * Mont'yr (Blooded ) (lit. seen battle) Modelling/Gameplay In game terms, O'Shovah can be taken as an HQ choice for a Tau army. He is armed with a plasma rifle, shield generator and the Dawn Blade, a powerful alien artifact that makes him deadly in hand to hand combat. Farsight Enclave armies are trained more extensively in close combat, especially against Orks. Several units in the army are restricted, capable of using only one single unit of each type, and none of the alien races allied to the Tau. O'Shovah may take a bodyguard of up to seven Crisis Suits, making his army boast the largest number of Crisis Suits ever. Due to the restrictions O'Shovah's forces are often forced into assaults, as his armies are almost always lacking in long range weaponry. O'Shovah is also hated by many Tau, mostly by Commander Shadowsun and Aun'Va, therefore cannot be in the same force as the other two aforementioned heroes. Notable Quotes "Learn to shorten your reach! If your foe can come close enough to negate your striking power, all stratagem is lost and when all stratagem is lost, the battle is lost." (3rd edition Codex: Tau) “Each must find their own way. If those in our heartland had witnessed the savageries of the void as have we they would know this. The hand of each of the great starfarers is turned against the other, none will join their strength together just to see their ancient enemies prosper. Neither should we." (4th Edition Codex: Tau Empire) i shall update this with every realese |

the blood angels now! History The Blood Angels were created from the genetic material of their Primarch Sanguinius. As with all of the Primarchs, Sanguinius was genetically engineered to be a supreme super-soldier but was cast into the warp during his infancy along with his brothers, and found on the nuclear-blasted world of Baal Secundus. Sanguinius was affected by the warp, and when he was found by one of the few unmutated human tribes on Baal, he had a pair of angelic wings growing from his back. As he matured quickly, he was able to use his superhuman powers and abilities to unite the humans of Baal against the mutants and become their leader. When the Emperor found Baal in his search for the twenty Primarchs, Sanguinius immediately recognized him for who he was and bent down on his knee, pledging his service. In this, Sanguinius was one of the few Primarchs who did not challenge the Emperor upon their reunion. The Emperor then took Sanguinius and a number of his best warriors and placed him in command of the Blood Angels Space Marine Legion.1 During the Great Crusade, the Blood Angels became known as being excellent shock assault troops, and formed a rivalry with the similarly assault-oriented World Eaters Legion.[Needs Citation] Sanguinius was reputed to have had some form of psychic powers, principally the gift of foresight.1 * Took part in the Achernar Invasion.5 The Horus Heresy During the Horus Heresy, the Blood Angels were one of the few Legions who fought alongside the Emperor during the Battle of Terra. When Horus lowered the shields of his battlebarge, and the Emperor teleported aboard the ship, Sanguinius was with him. The noble Primarch became separated from the Emperor, and came across Horus alone. The Warmaster tried to sway Sanguinius, to turn him to Chaos, but the Angel-winged warrior refused, and attacked Horus. The Daemonically strengthened Horus slew Sanguinius, as the Primarch knew he would. He had foreseen his death, and yet still engaged the Arch-Heretic, knowing he would die. This has endowed many of the Blood Angel's beliefs with a deeply mystical streak. Sanguinius' violent death left a strong psychic imprint on his Legion, since they partially share his DNA. However, this was a willing sacrifice that was made in order to buy the Emperor time and to give Him a weakness in Horus's armour, which was key in bringing about the traitor's defeat. After the Heresy, as with all other loyal Legions, the Blood Angels were forced to split into many smaller Chapters.1 Geneseed Black Rage All of the Chapters derived from the Blood Angels still suffer from the psychic imprint left by Sanguinius's death. This can cause them to go insane prior or during a battle, and they believe that they are Sanguinius himself during the Battle of Terra. The condition is irrecoverable (except for one case, where the victim was largely able to control it), and victims are locked away in the "Tower of the Lost" on the Blood Angels' homeworld until they finally die. This insanity is known as the Black Rage. Rather than face a slow, insane death, Blood Angels will form those who have newly succumbed to the Black Rage into a special unit known as the Death Company. They paint their armour black, daubed with red crosses, signifying the wounds of Sanguinius, and are usually led by the few Chapter officers, notably Chaplains, who are able to communicate orders to these lost warriors. They are then sent out to perform the most dangerous assaults, hoping for a quick and honourable death in combat.1 Red Thirst The Red Thirst is one of the two genetic flaws in the geneseed of the Blood Angels and their successor Chapters. This causes warriors to suffer an unusual bloodlust, instilling them with a thirst for the blood of their enemies. Those who succumb to the Red Thirst or Black Rage are either formed into the Death Company or locked away in the Tower of the Lost on Baal, until they change completely, going insane. These traits have also been passed on to their successor chapters, such as the Flesh Tearers, Blood Drinkers, and Angels Sanguine. One successor chapter, the Lamenters, managed by unknown means to eliminate the flaws from Sanguinius' gene-seed, but has been stricken by extraordinary bad luck in battle and as such has been nearly annihilated.[Needs Citation] Organisation Company Disposition Like all Codex chapters, Blood Angels are divided into ten Companies. Each Company is led by a hero of the Chapter, who - in addition to his Company command - is in charge of a particular aspect of the Chapter's logistics. Such Blood Angels commanders may be accompanied by a type of command squad unit particular to the Chapter, the Honour Guard. A more notable breach with Codex stricture is the informally organised non-Codex unit designated as the Death Company. Another possible breach with Codex organistation is that the Blood Angels are believed to form their Chapter's scouts not from new recruits, but instead from the most aggressive of the Blood Angels, and as such, they are much more geared towards closing with the enemy to engage in close combat.2 Honour Guard Among the Chapter, it is customary of the mighty Blood Angels leaders to be accompanied by an Honour Guard of dedicated warriors. It's members are often distinguished individuals or the most accomplished veteran marines of the Chapter; warriors with full access to the armoury of the Blood Angels. As a result, the Honour Guard are normally very-well equipped and ably transported. Sanguinary Priests and Techmarines may be found within an Honour Guard, as can standard-bearers. When operating as Honour Guard for a Company Commanded, one member of the Guard may be nominated as Company Champion.3 The Death Company A Chaplain directing his Death Company. A Chaplain directing his Death Company. Blood Angels are unique in that deeply engrained in their gene-seed is the encoded experience of Sanguinius, and most deeply imprinted of all is the memory of his final battle with Horus. Sometimes an event or circumstance will trigger this 'race memory'. This happens only rarely, often on the eve of battle, but it is likely to be a fatal experience for the warrior whose mind is suddenly wrenched into the distant past. What has become known as the Black Rage overcomes him, the memories and consciousness of Sanguinius intrudes upon his mind, and dire events ten thousand years old flood into the present. To others a Marine overcome with the Black Rage appears half mad with fury: he is unable to distinguish past from present and does not recognise his comrades. He may believe he is Sanguinius upon the eve of his destruction, and the bloody battles of the Horus Heresy are raging all around him. As well as the memories of the Primarch, the Marine is also imbued with a small portion of Sanguinius' unearthly power, boosting the warrior's already prodigious strength and vitality to superhuman levels. In order to keep the Black Rage in check, on the eve of battle the Blood Angels bend their thoughts to prayer and to the sacrifice of their Primarch so many centuries ago. Chaplains move from man to man, blessing each in turn and noting those amongst the brotherhood whose eyes may appear a little glazed, or whose speech is slurred or over excited. Some, almost all, overcome this ancient intrusion into their minds. All of a warrior's training is directed at controlling it, beating it down into the depths of their being. But for some the imprint of Sanguinius is too strong, the memories too loud and demanding. As the Chaplains chant the moripatris, the mass of doom, the chosen ones fall into the arms of their priests, and are taken away. The afflicted are formed into a special unit called the Death Company. Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor. The Death Company is arrayed in black armour upon which are painted red saltires, crosses of blood red which symbolise the sacrifice of Sanguinius. The company is led into battle and directed towards the foe by the Chapters Chaplains. The warriors fight with the certainty of death and are completely fearless, ignoring wounds that would fell a normal man. Should they survive the battle they will probably die of their wounds afterwards, once the frenzied slaughter is past. It is better this way, for those who do survive almost always fall victim to the Red Thirst, turning into creatures no better than wild beasts craving flesh and blood. Better by far to die cleanly and quickly in battle than to suffer such a fate......1 Recruitment The Blood Angels recruit their Neophytes from the chapters home planet of Baal and it's moons.1 Fleet Disposition There are at least three known vessels in the Blood Angels Armada: the battle barge Europae under the command of chief librarian Mephiston, the battle barge Bellus and the strike cruiser Amareo |

now the soul drinkers History The Soul Drinkers do not fit the standard template of Excommunicate Traitoris. Unlike most Renegade chapters which have devoted themselves to the Chaos gods, the Soul Drinkers despise the Ruinous Powers as much if not more than they hate the Imperium that cast them out. Instead, they have developed an ideology that states that the Imperium has betrayed everything the Emperor has stood for so they still fight the powers of chaos but disagree with what the imperium now stands for some within the chapter think that the imperium should be destroyed for the good of mankind. Dealing with Tellos After the defeat of the heretic Teturact, the Soul Drinkers were forced to flee Stratix Luminae, leaving several assault squads, who were under Tellos' command, behind. Tellos - who had bordered on Khornate rage before this betrayal - quickly fell under the Blood God's influence, subverting his assault squads to the service of Khorne. Chapter Master Sarpedon quickly caught wind of this heresy by his battle-brother and tracked Tellos to Entymion IV, an Imperial world now held by a mysterious alliance of Dark Eldar and Slaaneshi Cultists. The Imperial Guard, with the assistance of the Crimson Fists, were at that moment trying to liberate the world. The Crimson Fists force was initially small, serving as a spearhead for the array of Imperial Guard regiments attempting to retake the capital city of Gravenhold. However, they quickly fell afoul of Tellos' Soul Drinkers, clashing indecisively as the Fists took up overwatch positions in a cathedral. In the aftermath, recognizing the chalice emblem and believing the entire Soul Drinkers Chapter present, Crimson Fists Commander Reinez sent word of the Soul Drinkers presence to Rynn's World, who responded with the Fists 2nd Company under Chaplain Inhuaca, placing himself and the Company under Reinez's command with orders to destroy the Soul Drinkers and bring back Chief Librarian Sarpedon's head. Upon their arrival on Entymion IV, Sarpedon's Soul Drinkers immediately began investigating the situation. Their method of infiltrating the world, hijacking a pair of landers from the Imperial Navy, quickly alerted the Crimson Fists as to their location. After securing the assistance of the Armoured Fist units of the Fornux Lix Fire Drakes IG Regiment, the Crimson Fists dove deep into the city and fought the Soul Drinkers in a brutal brawl within the city's Mercantile Chamber, before the Soul Drinkers pulled back after capturing the Fists Company Standard and killing the company Librarian. Throughout this fight, the Dark Eldar present on the world observed the Soul Drinkers fighting against the loyalist forces. The intervention of the brainwashed slave army of the Dark Eldar deterred Fists pursuit as the Soul Drinkers retreated beneath the city. They were quickly approached by the Dark Eldar- who, clearly bearing betrayal in mind - offered Sarpedon an Alliance, which Sarpedon - also planning betrayal - accepted. 1st Chapter War Sarpedon, the Chapter's highest ranking Librarian, challenged the old Chapter Master, Gorgoleon, to an honour duel. An honour duel is unique to all chapters founded from the Imperial Fists Legion. It involves the accused, and the challanger, and they duel to either the death, or the drawing of first blood. It is said that the Emperor and Rogal Dorn will lend their strength to the victor. Sarpedon slew Gorgoleon using his newly mutated talons, and became the new Chapter Master of the Soul Drinkers. Sarpedon then rooted out all the followers of Gorgoleon, killing all the Soul Drinkers that would not join the new Chapter. 2nd Chapter War Back at full strength, the Soul Drinkers found another Chapter War brewing between Sarpedon, and the new Sergent Eumenes, taken from a planet that hated the Imperium, to restock the Chapter. Eumenes felt that the fight should be taken directly to the Emperor. He wanted to take out the Astronomican, and blot out the light that guides the Emperor's ships through the warp to start the Imperium over. Sarpedon, however, given advice from the chapters chaplain that a planet called Vanqualis was under attack from a horde of Orks and needed protection, and to take supplies for their new home, The Brokenback. Sarpedon led the 200 remaining loyal Soul Drinkers through the jungles of Vanqualis to the fortress held by Eumenes forces. Once there, Librarian Gresk warned Sarpedon to leave. Sarpedon did, before Eumenes bombarded the land surrounding the fortress from the Brokenback. Aftermath Sarpedon could not get off Vanqualis, and conceded to Eumenes' wishes. Eumenes became the new Chapter Master. Sarepdon led the loyal Soul Drinkers to Techmarine Lygris, loyal to Sarpedon, but was stuck on the Brokenback until Eumenes let him shuttle Sarpedon and his forces back to their ship. Sarpedon then attacked Librarian Scamandar in the Brokenback's brig, killing him. Sarpedon makes his way to the bridge. Where he duels Eumenes using the Soulspear, and Lord Mercaeno's force axe, taken by Eumenes after he killed the Howling Griffons Librarian. Sarpedon impales Eumenes with his mutated talons, and wins back the Chapter he won from his victory against Gorgoleon. Significant Soul Drinkers * Daenyathos - Phillospher-soldier. Wrote Catechisms Martial, the stardard all Soul Drinkers live by. * Sarpedon - Current Chapter Master. First to break ties with the Imperium. A powerful psyker able to transmit but not receive thoughts. * Tellos - Raving psychopath, assault marine turned servant of Khorne, disowned by chapter. * Chaplain Iktinos - Master of Sanctity for the entire Chapter. Clearly has hidden motives and designs upon the Soul Drinkers. * Captain Karraidin - Captain of the old Soul Drinkers who supported Sarpedon's break with the Imperium. Killed at the outset of the Second Chapter War. Possessed one of the only suits of Terminator armour. * Sargent Eumenes - New Soul Drinker, created after the Soul Drinker's splitting with the Imperium. Revolted against the new Chapter. Killed by Sarpedon * Veteran Sergeant Graevus - Assault squad sergeant. Mutated right arm allows him to wield a power axe with one hand. * Luko - Sergeant. Utilizes a pair of Lightening Claws. Was promoted to Captain following Entymion IV and remains one of Sarpedon's most loyal supporters. * Tyrendian - Soul Drinkers Librarian. Able to project powerful lightning attacks. * Gresk - Soul Drinkers Librarian. Able to speed to the reactions of his battle brothers. Killed by Eumenes' forces after warning Sarpedon of an imminent orbital bombardment. Chapter Strength Note The Chapter was rebuilt, with an unknown number of replacements. It can only be figured that the Chapter was rebuilt to 1000 marines because it is the only refrence given. After the 2nd Chapter War, the Soul Drinkers numbers dwindled to around 300. |

if I may add, some passages of Daenyathos' Catechisms Martial: * What is the greatest failure which we must guard? The failure to die when death would serve the Emperor's purpose. * Against whom will the battle at the end of time be fought? Know only that it will not be against enemies from without. * But what of the masses of humanity, the Emperor's flock? Pay them no heed, for their greater number is already damned. * What of the times when the enemy is stronger, in body or in number? No xenos is more cunning then humanity. No traitor has the courage of the pious * How must we honour our fallen? With every bullet and every blade, with every moment of victory and pain. * How must the alien be met on the battlefield? The alien fears our purity and nobility. He must therefore be met with the most pure and noble hatred. * What is the greatest sin? The greatest for us is treachery, for it is a sin against the soul. * How can we know when the battle is won? Know only this. There is but a single battle, and it will never be won. * What is it that makes us Astartes? Our augmentations and battlegear are as nothing compared to the mastering of our own fears. It is this that places us above the human race. * How can we tell our friends from our enemies? It is said that all but our own battle-brothers will become our enemies in the end. * Who can we call our allies in the endless battle against corruption? None but ourselves, our own souls and discipline, our own bodies and the weapons in our hands. * What right do we have to pass judgement on a fellow human being? I ask of you, what right have we to presume him innocent? * How far must we compromise when victory is at stake? The concept of compromise is alien to an Astartes. TO die unrelenting is to be victorious. * What can we learn from the ways of the xenos? We can learn how to hate. * How does a Soul Drinker fight? As cold as the void and as fast as the bullets from his bolter. * What will our fight mean to the galaxy when we are dead? It will mean that the galaxy continues, for without every drop of Astartes blood it would crumble and fall. * How do we overcome an enemy who fights with lies? Confront him with the truth of destruction. * What do our enemies see when they look upon the Astartes? They see their gods and the heroes of their corrupted myths, gathered before them and heralding the end of their world. XKiller __________________________ ![]() ![]() |
