Ammopouch script & function(s) WIP

A working ingame Ammo pouch script has been created - still adding new weapons and refining.

This will now allow a mission designer to consider how many mags a unit or group(s) will need in the mission.

The Script will allow you to pick up any WH40K weapon - & the ammo pouch will reflect the magazines of the new weapon being utilized.

No more will you scrounge around the battlefield looking for mags.

Unless you want this effect - if so do not use scripts/functions...

The mission designer will add number of additional magazines beyond what the game normally supplies a unit.

Right now script is geared for 1 unit at a time - but very soon it will be geared for groups and / or lists/arrays... Then eventually static weapons and vehicles...

Below is how first script is called - function is handled by script

In Trigger:
getmag=preprocessFile "getmag";[xx,10] exec "ammopouch";

A groupchat will be initiated:

for Primary Weapon: "Rummaging in Ammopouch for spare Mag."
for Secondary Weapon: "Rummaging in Ammopouch for spare Missile."

Also a sound file will be generated: - it will sound like your rummaging around in a pouch for something....

This will all happen automatically - no addaction to hinder gameplay.

The ammopouch is designed to not allow you to drop below two mags in your unit inventory.
This way freeing up space to carry satchels/mines, etc...

Skins for genestealer clan underway...

I have genestealer cultists done.

Pics will become available in time as more units are converted. Trust me they look good.
Don't want to excite too many peeps and continually be asked when will they get done; etc...

Conversion of Bloodpact skins to genestealer IG clan underway very soon.

So hopefully I can compliment the Mod's & Xkiller's work...


First version of Genestealer Cult IG finished - need to refine them from here...

then vehicles and support weapons...

Wipex; a mission designer helped reveal a bug in Spawnwave2 - It has now been corrected.
Plus this version has Planetary Defense Force and Word Bearers added...

What is Spawnwave2???


Overall Vision for Spawnwave.


The idea behind Spawnwave; was to have one script handle requests for all the different unit types of WH40K.

So most Races will be able to be called from this script to be used in wave attack styled spawning.

After the units have died they will sink into the ground.

There might not be enough time to remove weapons from the dead. So a mission designer must plan weapon crates, etc... accordingly to this caveat.

I had to compromise between the length of body removal or the time for respawn.
I opted for time for next respawn.

In the WH40K Universe the action is fast and furious.
Not everybody has a fast machine - So a quick removal of body - ultimately was the way to go.

Also Spawnwave2 has limitations in overall group size.
After much discussion with colleagues in WH40K Mod - it was decided to make array size 10 for Resistance and West. This to represent ordered units in the Imperium and other Races.
So if you chose to have 12 units - you would still only receive 10 - think PDF and Kroot allow for 12.

Whereas East will be allowed up to 12 men per squad as they can be units not following any strict unit size guidelines. Or for that matter may fight in large groups anyways... Exception to East is Oshova Tau.

The Spawnwave Readme and the Demo go onto show further examples.

Developers notes

First of all, we know the pack isn’t a professional production. It’s awesome in many ways :D and you will probably find more units in the pack that you will ever be able to use in your missions. We worked on the pack for more that 18 months full-force.
On the other hand, you will surely see some minor bugs. All we can say to these little problems is that we are just hobbyists and we weren’t here for YOU but for us and our fun. If we’d tried to fix every lil prob, you would have never downloaded this pack. There are not many probs and no big ones anyway, so don’t freak out. We made what we were able to, there are just a few problems we know about. There are some addons ppl like to call betas, well why not to use it even it isn’t. We really hope this pack gets to mature people – as we will ignore any whiners anyway.
Honestly, we don’t have time to include every anims/vehicle/unit you would like to see in the pack. If you want to help us, just write at the forums, there is always enough space for talented ppl ;)We will gladly accept any constructive criticism, ideally coupled with any help you can share.

There are also many missions made by Ladie from Hell, WW2Weasel and Hayden. The guys did an awesome job, you will see. The addons would never be enough without the missions and campaigns. And you all should try the Armageddon2, I bet you have never played anything intense like this one is before.
Thanx to all the awesome Addonmakers – Sanctuary, Spad, SPQR – many addons and the mod were made by them and the mod wouldn’t ever exist without them!
Thankx also to Bigfoot for awesome wound textures, promo pics, various dirty textures and for letting himself to be bossed around be me, and XKiller for many nice reskins!
Special thanx to all the 3rd party addonmakers we copied some knowledge, textures and scripts from you guys. We all hope you won’t mind.

Orks – well this one was the toughest one, everything made by one person, phew! All units were animated from scratch and not all the units have all the OFP animation equivalents. There are many totally new models, more than 300 Ork anims. So don´ t be picky if you find an ork doing some funky moves, anyway, they do their job right, they Chop and Stomp OK, right?! Please note the random anims for all boyz class, all the boyz move when you let them to stand their ground for a while

Imperial Guard – really, really many units, aprox 200 anims, many regiments, models, all lodded properly. They do their job right too, if you can´t find you favourite vehicle modification it´s because my day is 24 hrs only. Again, I wasn’t able to animate all the OFP anims equivalents. I’m sure you will notice some Ogryn, death and grenade anims are missing, well maybe later. Too big to complete for one person again!

Tau – Oh yeah, I know the death anims are missing and what  More than 200 anims for these blueskins, infantry, Exo suits, civilians. Gue´vesa, all the different models needed custom anims. All should work fine.

Heretics – many custom models for Chaos based missions, again, a “one man army” worked on that!

Tyrannids – it´s just a sample of thing to come, please note that OFP sucks when it comes to melee attacks

If you Have Any Of The Older WH40K Mods (first addition) Do Not Mix Them With The New OFPWH40Kv3 Mod Or You Will Get Errors Up The Wa-Zoo.
Also, using other game altering MODs like ECP,FFUR etc isn´t recomended, we can´t guarantee a flawless gameplay with these mods, as they change configs, anims etc and might fuck up our addons anims or scripts and that´s something you really don´t want , right?

ORK buildings and objects v1.0 are here. It´s all lodded, coded and binarized properly so you can use it for Island making, CTI or whatever.

Zetaboard problems

As you noticed if you look at the url the WH40K mod forum is located in the zetaboard servers.

Zetaboard several days ago had their server 6 crashing an erasing everything, basically every boards hosted on server 6 were deleted and their members too.

The Zetaboard crew managed to salvage and restore partially the lost boards and their member as so far they could only re-up everything ending to May 2008 , everything after this, posts, registered members are always lost.

Hopefully they will be able to salvage more.

Now WH40K is hosted on server 1 of Zetaboard.
Yesterday or the day before, server 1 has gone through some critical problems maybe you have noticed here.
Apparently they have now solved the problem.

But in the case the problem is not as solved as they hope, i suggest you all to back up your addon , missions and important posts somewhere, in case server 1 will experience soon what server 6 has gone through.

Right howdy guys was in games workshop having a natter and found sum new things out that will be usfull in the mod and if u collecte.
right GW are going to be relesing new plastic drop pods with inside detal
on closer ispection of the model i noticed that the pods hold bout 10 marines (2 for each hatch not one like the forge world model)
this will be released with the new space marine box set/models/codex which i think is out next mouth
hopefully changes to the config might help keep withine this new info
cheers ill post on this bit bout more up and comming releses of the real table top game
