Hi All

Just a Patch for Space marines Drop pods .

**Space Marine Drop pod Patch**

What this patch does :
fixes the PODS for players who are getting STUCK in pods once they land

The script time delay of ejecting cargo and making pod false to cargo (can not get back in once landed) was not WORKING right,
if you did not get out in time, you and or your crew/cargo were stuck in pod.

The WHOLE Idea of the eject script was to have it that players needed to WAIT for the Animations of DOORS opening before they could Dis-embark from the POD.

SO once the POD is 1 meter off ground (LZ) it removes all fuel, then Opens the DOORS, then Ejects Cargo/crew.
A slight Delay after that (3 sec's I think) it sets a CARGO/CREW to False and players can not get back in.

Alien vegetation 3d model drive

We at the mod are asking for help with Alien vegetation and minerals (rocks) to help populate the many different worlds of WH40K. There are only a few modellers in our mod and their time is allocated; so we are asking those of you who would truly like to help - but you don't know how.

To make a 3d model; you could use google sketchup. Look at the basic tutorials in youtube for them.

Here is a fairly straight forward method to create the models. Watch the example video.

After you walk through the basic videos follow along on the video link I supplied above to understand how to make a model.

Save as 3ds and send to us and we will incorporate it into a new world.
Then you can play in a mission and marvel at your work and others.

Alright so what are we looking for as far as vegetation is concerned; anything that looks out of this world.
A good idea or rule of thumb; if your imagination is not yielding any good visionary examples are: check out pics of " WH40K tournament play" in a google search or sites like devian art or anything SCI-FI related with plant fauna flora etc....

Ok guys we will migrate to 1.99 - 1.96 server closed.

Arma: Cold War Assault info

Download 1.99 patch here - 526mbs <--- "this is the FULL Caoldwar Assault 1.99" ;)

After that you can play both 1.96 & 1.99 because the patch will install "new game" Cold War Assault.
No worries - everything used in 1.96 will work in 1.99 as well.

Fixed Tala_car, BP Leman Rus & BP Basilisk

OK here are two fixes for the Tala_car.pbo and the Blood Pack Vehicles

The gunner's POS on the tala_car "Magnus" was always looking into the GUN and not over it or in front of it (AC Mag was always in the way)

This is fixed now, All Tala_car's west-east-res- now work much better.

For the Blood Pack vehs, the Leman RUsh had a set of Spikes on the barrel .. this has been fixed in gunner's view ..

Frame rate info

Would everybody post their framerate for the original BIS mission "Battlefields"?
I just want a general idea of what people experience.Particularly under a bit of
load.It might help me while testing out content for the mod.

I don't need specs,just the framerate.And only for the first 5-10 minutes of the
mission.The early period where the battle intensifies.Try to average it out.I'm only
interested in consistent readings.Not severe drops or spikes.

Whether it's 1.96 or 1.99 doesn't matter.

Also,try to use these settings,in your video options when testing:

Framerate slider all the way to the left.

Visual quality slider all the way to the right.

View distance set to 1000.

Terrain detail set to low.

In the Enable/Disable menu,enable all options except W-Buffer.

I've never really found screen resolution to be important.So
you can leave that as is.
