Today, I wanted to tell you why I love css, and what it is. CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets, (as defined by Wikipedia) is a stylesheet language used to describe the presentation of a document written in a markup language. Its most common application is to style web pages written in HTML and XHTML. CSS can be used locally by the readers of web pages to define colors, fonts, layout, and other aspects of document presentation. The number one reason I love it is all you need is a link to that css file, and all your pages will look the same. It also cleans up your html files. It also spices up your pages. Heres an example from quackit. With and Without and CSS. Links become different colors when you hover over them, the background color is no longer white, the font is not black, the text is now organized into a box that can be moved all over the page and more. Pages become professional looking, and it's very easy to learn simple CSS. Some places to learn are Quackit.com, W3schools.com and Htmlcenter.com.
